A popular banda UVERworld agendou o lançamento da sua primeira compilação no estilo “best-of”, chamada de Neo SOUND BEST, para o dia 9 de Dezembro.

2009 é um ano muito especial para o UVERworld, pois marca o décimo aniversário de formação e o quinto ano de sua estreia numa gravadora “major”, o que levou ao lançamento dessa compilação. É esperado que o CD inclua o hit ‘D-tecnoLife‘, que foi usado como tema de abertura do anime “Bleach“, e o mais recente single, ‘Kanashimi wa kitto‘, assim como vários outros singles, b-sides, e faixas de álbuns.

Como um mimo para os fãs, a banda também gravou ‘D-tecnoRize‘, uma música do período indie do UVERworld, a qual era o protótipo para ‘D-tecnoLife’. Contendo um total de 16 faixas para alcançar toda a obra dos 10 anos, o álbum será vendido em versões limitada e regular. A edição limitada virá com um DVD contendo doze músicas gravadas durante seu último concerto de alcance nacional, o ‘AwakEVE TOUR’.

Not as in together lol. Sorry for the mini-spazz moment.

Not even in the same country actually! Big Bang has just released their pv for their third Japanese single, Koe wa Kikasete (声をきかせて, translation: Let Me Hear Your Voice). To tell you the truth, I actually prefer Big Bang in Japanese lol. Strangely although I recognize that their prononciation is a little off. I love the Japanese language and their music and style goes very well with it.

I don’t like when they just translate a song from Korean to Japanese, like MY HEAVEN, I prefer their original Japanese tracks, such as Garagara GO!! and now Koe wa Kikasete.  

OMG I can’t even emphasize how much I love this!! I wasn’t expecting much because after Garagara GO!! was released they released their album and I didn’t really like the album. But I have a feeling that their Japanese album was just a half-hearted attempt anyways so I’m not holding them responsible.

But I think they are truly concentrating on their Japanese music and going only for original material!! YAHH!!!

I LOVE the video! It has an almost Christmas theme going on and the boys look so good!! Taeyang’s voice is amazing! Daesung’s voice melted me!! And even Seungri’s shallow vocals worked very well!! My only gripe was not enough rapping from G-Dragon and TOP. But they looked fabulous in the video and for that I’m grateful!

So the main cocals of 2NE1 has released her first solo single, You & I, in South Korea and I like it. On first listen to. Granted I don’t LOVE it, but it’s nice to listen to. 

So today is very much a good day in my asian pop world!! Now onto some other songs that have come out lately that I’ve been wanting to comment on.

UVERworld has recently come out with their new single, Kanashimi was Kitto (哀しみはきっと; translation: Sadness is Certain) it comes out today and as usual it’s probably going to sell enough to put them in the top 5 of the Oricon Weekly Charts, though because of my bias, I would hope it would be number 1 lol. Truthfully, the song is nothing spectacular. It reminds me of so many of their other ballad songs, and not in a good way. The only thing that saves these ballads are TAKUYA∞’s vocals. Man can he belt it out. I love it.

Next are the super amazing Brown Eyed Girls who are making a comeback with a repackaged version of their hit album Sound G, and one of their songs has left a deep impression on me, it’s called Drunk on Sleep and it’s beautiful… take a listen.
