<p>Allen Millyard is one the best custom motorcycle builders in the UK, with a variety of one-off motorbikes, most featuring multi-cylinder engines like V8/V12 Kawasakis, to his credit.</p>
<p>His latest amazing creation made its debut at the UK International Motorcycle Show, which opened today, Friday 27th November 2009.</p>
<p>The Millyard Viper V10 features an engine from the Dodge Viper car, which Allen sourced from e-bay for £5000. The 500bhp motor transmits its torquey power via a two-speed auto gearbox to the rear wheel.  Allen made the entire chassis in his garage, with the front forks featuring Vauxhall Carlton damper units and Hagon springs. Six pot calipers, plus AP Lockheed front disc brakes help slow this 630kgs heavy machine.</p>
<p>But the weight of the bike, and the lack of fairing hasn’t blunted the performance. A recent test at Bruntingthorpe saw the Millyard V10 Viper special hit 207mph, making this arguably the fastest road legal, unfaired motorcycle in the UK. Allen’s special has passed the government SVA vehicle inspection, so it is taxed and insured for road use.</p>
<p>The bike has been ridden at high speed by a professional test rider, who was impressed with the bike&#8217;s sheer torque and its stability. The plan is to take the bike to Bonneville to set an ultimate top speed of perhaps 250mph. Lateral thinking engineer Millyard is also seriously considering a limited production run of the Viper V10 machine.</p>
<p>“Everything’s been designed in my head on this bike,” said Allen, ” but I want to build a pre-production prototype and do some proper design drawings, so there&#8217;s a kind of template to work from. We could make maybe ten bikes to individual owner specifications.”</p>
<p>Reaction at the UK&#8217;s annual motorcycle show, held at the NEC near Birmingham, was very positive, with many bikers commenting that Millyard&#8217;s V10, the Norton Commando launch and the new BMW six cylinder concept bike, were the main highlights of the event.</p>

Dar vă putem spune cum se poate face <strong>Logan-ul să murmure ca un supercar, aducându-şi şoferul în pragul extazului</strong>. Este o metodă foarte simplă, gadgetul din imaginea din dreapta se inserează în locaşul brichetei şi în rest face toate treaba. De fapt &#8220;minunea&#8221; este un modulator FM, care emite către aparatul radio sunetul unui motor V8 sau V10, la alegere.</p>
<p>Cei care au produs acest gadget spun însă că are un modul de detectare a turaţiilor şi că va &#8220;cânta&#8221; doar după cum îi dictează pedala de acceleraţie. Dacă merge însă pentru acest VW Polo, evidenţiat în clipul ataşat, atunci cu siguranţă merge şi pe un Logan 1.6 16v. Iar partea cu adevărat senzaţională este că <strong>această invenţie costă doar 39.99$</strong>. Probabil cel care o va aduce în Vitan va da lovitura anului!</p>

<p>We think the R8 V10 (and its V8 &#8220;little&#8221; brother) is great, by the way. One might make the argument that its reputation has lost a bit of its luster as of late (in the face of stiff competition and an increasingly jaded and ADD audience), but we feel it deserves a vigorous defense. No, it&#8217;s not the <a href="http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparisons/09q3/2010_audi_r8_5.2_v10_fsi_quattro_vs._2009_ferrari_430_scuderia-comparison_tests">F430 Scuderia</a>, but quite frankly, we think that comparison is stupid- the latter car also costs nearly twice as much. We place a high premium on credibility here, and when you have race car drivers like Randy Pobst <a href="http://www.motortrend.com/features/performance/112_0810_americas_best_handling_car_conclusion/nissan_gt_r_audi_r8.html">singing</a> the R8&#8217;s <a href="http://www.motortrend.com/features/performance/112_0910_2009_best_drivers_car/2009_audi_r8.html">praises</a>, well- we&#8217;re convinced.</p>

Em 2005 foi considerado pela revista Car Design News um dos dez carros mais belos do mundo.</p>
<p>Sua potência é de 7800rpm, vai de 0-100 km/h em 3,9 segundos, tendo uma velocidade máxima de 333km/h.</p>

<p>No<em> Tokyo Motor Show 2009</em> (Salão do Automóvel do Japão) esta sendo lançado oficialmente o <strong>Lexus LFA</strong>.  Depois de quase <em>5</em> anos de exaustivos testes e inúmero protótipos,  parece que este <strong>Lexus</strong> (Marca subsidiária <strong><em>Toyota</em></strong> nos <em>EUA</em>) vai honrar a linha de superesportivos puro-sangue da <strong>Toyota</strong>, que teve como fundador o <em><strong>Toyota 2000GT</strong></em> da década de<em> 60</em>.</p>
<p>Os jornalistas automotivos que testaram o <strong>LFA</strong> estão rasgando elogios sobre ele, algo que há muito tempo não vejo.</p>
<p>O motor <em>V10</em> de <em>4,8 litros</em> e desenvolvido junto com a <strong><em>Yamaha</em></strong>, esta localizado na dianteira. Gera <em>600cv</em> a <em>8.700 rpm</em> (<em>0</em> a <em>100 km/h</em> em <em>3,7 segundos</em> e máxima de <em>323 km/h</em>), torque de <em>48,9 m.kgf.</em> e a tração é traseira. Poderia dizer que o belo som que sai pelos escapamentos é uma mistura de <strong><em>Lamborghini Gallardo</em></strong> com <strong><em>Porsche Carrera GT</em></strong>.</p>
<p>O peso do <strong>LFA</strong> é de <em>1.480 kg</em>, baixo, como deve ser um verdadeiro esportivo, e possui a estrutura da cabine em fibra de carbono. Difusor traseiro, fundo plano e aerofólio embutido móvel formam os elementos aerodinâmicos do veículo.</p>
<p>Infelizmente serão fabricadas apenas <em>500</em> unidades, o que o tornará um carro exclusivo e não sendo exatamente um substituto do <strong>Toyota Supra</strong>. Mas a <em>Toyota</em> estava devendo um grande esportivo desde <em>1998</em> nos <em>EUA</em> e <em>2002</em> no <em>Japão</em> (Anos em que a <em>Toyota</em> suspendeu a importação e fabricação do <em>Supra</em> nos respectivos países citados).</p>

<p>For two weeks I had him with me. Two weeks, this promised a lot of fun. Two weeks and 1.500 miles long, he was &#8220;MINE&#8221;. And, how I reluctantly gave him back…<br />

To provide enough air, the inlets in the front have been enlarged. The fog light now sits alongside the Xenon headlights. This benefits the air flow in the front apron, which was also newly designed.</p>
<p>Together with the wider fenders and the daytime running lights, consisting of ten Led’s, the RS6 announces himself very present in the rear-view mirror of each left-track blocker. In order to save weight, the front fenders and the engine hood are made of aluminium.</p>

<p style="color:#666666;margin:0;padding:0 0 10px;">Decor Elements from Carbon adorn both of the central tunnel and the decorative elements in the doors. The multi-function sport leather steering wheel lays comfortably in the hand and is in reference to racing down flat.</p>

A user-friendly positioning in front of the shifter, as in the Audi R8, would have been a much better choice. Also annoying is the positioning of the speaker control on the passenger side. Thus, the driver is no longer entirely the master of the sounds, which escape out of the excellent Bose system.</p>

By pushing a button, the driver can decide how comfortable he wants to move forward. So in the comfort mode it is very relaxed on the matter, soil roughness are very well spring-mounted, perfect for family rides. The dynamic mode is the optimal balance between comfort and sportiness. This mode makes you basically never get wrong.</p>
<p>If it looks sporty on the road, or even on the track, it should go ahead, just the push of a button and the RS6 is taut and tired on the asphalt. This allows the ESP to be switched off in two steps.</p>

<p>The first push on the ESP Button allowes dynamic cornering with a small security anchor, the second stage switches the electronics completely. But even then the RS6 is not getting worked up. Thanks to Quattro.</p>
<p>That is possible to track with the RS6 in the curves is beyond question. Thanks to the back-heavy drive, drifts are even possible, but only with much coaxing coarse executes. For this discipline, there are undoubtedly better companions. But it is the idea that you could, if you like.</p>

In the city the consumption, especially when there are a lot of traffic lights, is significantly high. Values around 13 MPG to 12 are not uncommon.</p>
<p>Who is disciplined with the pedal, the route Frankfurt &#8211; Hamburg (340 miles) is possible, with one tank and a consumption of 18 MPG. More could also be possible, but who the hell buys itself some 600 hp to save petrol and to skulk on Germany&#8217;s motorways?</p>
<p style="color:#666666;margin:0;padding:0 0 10px;">Who drives much on highways, may also like some security features. Thus, the driver with all sorts of technical folderol, such as lane keeping assistant, right angle-alerter in the rear-view mirrors and Distance Control feel well looked after.</p>

Both in design and technology, Audi is currently on the fast lane, and certainly with a car like the RS6. Of course we can discuss about the meaning and purpose of such a vehicle, but the fact is that there is a market for such vehicles.</p>
<p style="color:#666666;margin:0;padding:0 0 10px;">Audi has been understood, to not transform the RS6 to a prole car. Instead, the RS6 is educated and well-behaved and is always good to handle. Also, the visibility was in positive. That is been rare. Ultimately you will probably get from A to B with a 2.0 TDI  &#8211; the only question is, who will have more fun.</p>

<p>Finally! It has arrived.</p>
<p>Lexus have been teasing us with this monster for the past few years, boasting about the technology it packs, along with its vicious 550 hp 4.8 liter V10. If that wasn&#8217;t enough, the boys out in Japan decided it would be even more of a tease to send a race variant out to LeMans. Granted, it didn&#8217;t do so well but hey, I&#8217;m sure it helped in its development.</p>

<p>Only 500 cars will be available when the car goes into production at the end of 2010. Apparently, Lexus is only taking orders at this point (&#8220;pre-sales&#8221; according to their press release).</p>

<p>Now back to some of the details, Lexus was able to compact the size of the V10 to be smaller than your normal V8. On top of this, the car redlines at 9,000 rpm, hitting 0-100 km/h in approx. 3.5 seconds and a top speed of over 320 km/h. Wow!</p>

<p>To keep weight down, they employed the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic throughout the exterior and the interior. Prices are expected to be over $350,000 according to Autoblog. Quite high but afterall, it is the most exclusive Lexus ever built.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Aston Martin&#8217;s Rapide </strong>shown here is a four door sports car.  It accommodates 4 adults.  Th rear seats fall flat at the touch of a button to open the cargo space of 301 liters to 750 liters.  It features a 6.0 liter V12 engine that generates 470hp, torque stands at 443 lb ft and has a 6 speed Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission standard.  It does 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds.</p>

Folding the soft top takes less than 20 seconds.  Although the Spyder weighs 476 pounds more than the coupe version, the 2010 Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 V10 does 0-60 in 4 seconds!</p>

The article also touches on Audi chasing BMW and Mercedes on its path to becoming to number one automotive luxury brand in the world. Cato calls it bold, and it certainly is. Attainable? Audi is the leading luxury manufacturer in Europe so far this year (as measured in sales). In Canada? We&#8217;re not there yet, but we&#8217;re certainly on the move.</p>

<p>Appropriate, since everything about this car is fast.</p>
<p>For those of us who missed out on taking one of these bad boys home, however, there is a solution: a giant sticker you can throw on your [closed] garage door to make it look like a[n open] garage door with an Audi R8 inside.</p>
<p>Clever, eh? (One commenter at <a href="http://creativity-online.com/work/audi-garage-banner/17412" target="_blank">Creativity Online</a> mentions that <a href="http://www.coloribus.com/adsarchive/tv-commercials/toyota-fj-cruiser-garage-door-520882/" target="_blank">Toyota did this</a> back in 2007, but we&#8217;re guessing it didn&#8217;t generate the same neighbor-envy among those who got them&#8230;)<img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1014" title="Picture 2" src="http://asgood.wordpress.com/files/2009/09/picture-2.png" alt="Picture 2" width="281" height="216" /></p>

The Swedes with their eye for tuning and their wide open spaces to run in stuck an M-Division S85 V10 in an E30 M3 and the results look nothing short of devastating. <p>Audi has kept my hands full today with back to back posts. First, the rumored <a href="http://brakebanzeen.wordpress.com/2009/09/10/audi-project-anniversario-s5-quattro/" target="_blank">Project Anniversario S5 Quattro</a>&#8230; and then this, the R8 Spyder. I have to give it to them because I normally don&#8217;t like convertible versions of coupes. But this be one sexy mama!</p>

<p>It&#8217;s yet to be confirmed if the Spyder will get the Lamborghini Gallardo derived V10 which has an output of 525 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, or if Audi will stick with the V8 found in most R8&#8217;s you see on the road. Considering the Spyder will probably be heavier than the fixed-roof version, the V10 would be the welcomed choice.</p>

<p>The trademark sideblades found on the coupe version are already missed as there was no way of retaining them for this conversion. But there are other design cues that make up for that, like the speedster style humps residing behind the driver &#38; the passenger seats.</p>
<p>Nothing would please me more right now than to wipe off the smug look on the driver&#8217;s face. That should be me driving.</p>

Nothing like mixing an array of various products from different countries from different walks of life, and backgrounds to mix up a good concoction of something new, fresh, different unique, and inspiring. For SP Engineering there is no exception, with so many people doing the same mundane things over and over mixing Japanese with European is something that will remain to be very unique, and pushing the envelope to something greater especially in the category of pairing Japanese wheels with European Cars. This is definitely form meets function which is rare. Because now the cars looks amazing but keeping performance at the foreground.  This Superleggera is fitted with 20×9 in the front and 20×11 in the rear Volk VR.G2. </p>
<p>The G2 is a one piece forged monoblock design that is incredibly light and strong. The 20×11 G2 only weights in at 25.8 lbs paired with a set of Swift springs to create a nice fit, and drop helping with holding down power of  the 600+whp courtesy of the twin turbo upgrade from Heffner Performance.</p>

<p>They decided to drop the M5&#8217;s insane V10 into the engine bay and work their way up. How does 550hp and 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds sound to you? The car weighs 1,450 kg meaning the car has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.6 kg per horsepower! INSANE!</p>
<p>To help translate all this power to the wheels, Manhart installed the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Set of Bilstein B16 Coilovers</li>
<li>E60 M5 6 speed manual (I assume this is from the US production model as a manual option was only available to their market)</li>
<li>E60 M5 differential</li>
<li>19 inch BBS Challenge wheels</li>
<li>AC Schnitzer exhaust system</li>
<li>Fichtel &#38; Sachs clutch</li>
<li>Modified electronic control unit</li>
</ul>
