Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiiy, tango – It was actually pretty good. It didn’t blow me away. SCORE: 7-7-7

Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, paso doble – I didn’t think she had it in her but she looked a bit aggressive on the dance floor. She struggled a bit for the first time. Not among the best pasos, but a decent dance. SCORE: 8-8-8

Jaleel White and Kym Johnson, tango – Very entertaining. It looked pretty clean to me. SCORE: 8-7-7 It appears the judges are being a little more critical this week.

Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiiy, paso doble – Maks was being really mean in practices trying to bring out the aggressive in Melissa. It was a better performance. Still looks a bit awkward at times. SCORE: 7-8-7

Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, paso doble – What is it about athletes that they excel in the paso? Donald’s best performance by far. SCORE: 9-9-9

Gladys Knight and Tristan McManus, tango – She looked a bit off on Monday night. That was a really hard song to dance to. SCORE: 7-6-7

William Levy and Cheryl Burke, jive – William didn’t know much about rock and roll, in Cuba they were not allowed to listen to American music. Major slip-up in the middle of the dance, but they didn’t let it affect them. Cheryl knows what she has in William and she knows how to use it. Not his best, but still passable. SCORE: 7-7-8

Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, Viennese Waltz – A waltz in rock week, what are they thinking! Chelsie being tough on Roshon all week paid off. He looked really good. Nice and smooth, very elegant. Roshon wanted so bad to hear Len say “Good job, dog”. His wish came true. SCORE: 9-8-9

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough, tango – Maria was hurting during the week and Derek encouraged her to go see a doctor. She has a stress fracture in her right foot and bone bruises in her left, but she doesn’t want to quit the competition. I say it all the time, but I love Derek’s choreography. Very solid, great performance. Their chemistry is over the top. SCORE: 9-8-9 Derek piggybacked her around after the dance to help relieve some pressure on her feet.

Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff, tango – I thought it was his best dance. Judges said he had a bad frame throughout. SCORE: 8-8-7

Apparently during the show Melissa hurt herself and went to the hospital as a precaution. I’ll try and find out more on that and blog about it later.

Next week is Latin week and they are promoting a performance by Santana (YES!).

If I’m not mistaken, the judges gain some control on Tuesday night. I believe the bottom two couples perform and the judges select who goes home.

I really like a couple of the matchups – Maria Menounos and Derek Hough and Cuban heartthrob William Levy and Cheryl Burke.

- Soap star-turned-singer Jack Wagner will dance with Anna Trebunskaya

- Green Bay Packers receiver Donald Driver will dance with Peta Murgatroyd

- Extra host Maria Menounos will dance with three-time champ Derek Hough

- The Disney Channel’s Roshon Fegan will dance with Chelsie Hightower

- Cuban heartthrob, actor and model William Levy will dance with two-time champ Cheryl Burke

- Singer Gavin DeGraw will dance with reigning champ Karina Smirnoff

- Music legend Gladys Knight will dance with Nancy Grace’s former partner Tristan MacManus

- And singer Katherine Jenkins will dance with perennial finalist Mark Ballas
