My very first anime convention, and it was the incredibly awesome Anime Festival Asia in Singapore. While many people chose to focus on the merchandise, I decided to focus on the participants of the con – the cosplayers. SIXTY crazy photos ahead! With Singapore being the next most proliferate anime hub, the cosplayers have quite the reputation to hold up, and it doesn’t disappoint.

I would have posted earlier, but being sick kinda delayed it a little. Oh, the above photo wasn’t taken by me, as I didn’t bring my DSLR with me on my trip, that and I also couldn’t get that close to the lovely Gwendolyn.

So I arrived on late Friday, and basically my first breakfast before going to AFA was my absolute favorite breakfast delicacy in Singapore – Roti Prata. Delicious start to my visit!

On the way to Suntec. Decided not to go through the City Hall to Suntec underpass because my friend wanted to have a smoke. It was a nice day for a walk anyway. The weather is nice this time of year – much cooler than summer. It’s like Vancouver’s summer weather!

Inside Suntec. The convention hub is also a mall!  Not too much has changed in here since my last visit, compared to the rest of Singapore. (more photos in the near future).

My AFA ticket. It’s rather unfortunate that my Sunday ticket is still firmly attached to the stub. I got pretty sick near the end of Day 1, and basically was wrestling with the idea of whether to attend Day 2. I regret not going, but at the same time, it probably would have destroyed the rest of my vacation here.

My lunch. Swenson’s baked chicken on rice. I haven’t had Swenson’s in over 4 years! Singapore’s chicken has a very different texture to it, one that I can’t say I really like. The meat is stringy and dry – even with all this sauce.

Into the fray I go. Fortunately, thanks to Zh3us’ organizing, I was able to obtain tickets without needing to line up for hours. I arrived late, and the line-up was still insane! When you walk in the door, you’re greeted by this large (or should I say small) Gundam.

No idea who they are, but frankly, I don’t care. THIS is how cosplay works. Not like most of that North American crap.

A Beyond-Perfect-Grade Gundam. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen something as cool as this at that kind of scale.

I’m speechless at how cool this looks. BADASS!

After finally seeing a Cintiq for the first time in person, I’ve decided to buy less anime figures, sell more anime figures, and save up for a Cintiq.

Absolutely amazing work. I enjoy these kinds of paintings more than the typical anime fan art nowadays. I especially love it when they introduce a more asian/anime influenced edge into this kind of work. It’s what I hope to accomplish in the future.

Suigintou cosplayer. She’s absolutely adorable! And I’m not just talking about the outfit! A very friendly, and timid demeanor from the brief 15 seconds of interaction I had with her.

This is what the convention is all about – jacked up prices for large volumes of anime merchandise, and a lot of rare ones too!

K-On! Not much else I can say about this photo other than “NICE GUITAR!”

I kinda know who the girl on the left is (Bleach?) But the rest escape me. I’m guessing they’re just loligoth.

Same deal. Who are they cosplaying as? Doesn’t matter. I’m sure any girl would love to wear a flowing princessy dress for a day while people snap pictures of her like a celebrity/model.

Can’t say for sure, but I think this guy is a very famous artist. (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time?). Autograph signing had just closed when I got there.

I absolutely cannot wait to see this movie! Production I.G. FTW!

Stickers to prove your worth.

Absolutely awesome Black Rock Shooter cosplayer. The eye thing is a very nice touch. What I find interesting is that you can have ANYONE simply carry a samurai sword, and it will look like cosplay. Wear loligoth, carry a katana = cosplay. Wear a school uniform, carry a katana = cosplay. Wear street clothes, carry a katana = cosplay.

After reading Rule 2, I lost interest. This is what Singapore is like, my friends! (please laugh. I’m just teasing.)

awesome awesome Eneloop dog. This made my day. Seeing a Miku taking a photo with it also made my day (and yes, I did take a photo with her, and the dog, seperately).

No idea who she’s cosplaying as, but whatever. Cute smile.

Awesome KH cosplayer. Those weapons are hand-made! I asked what it was made out of and what was involved. It was very technical. I was lost at “composite”.

Terrible fanart is terrible. I like how well it’s rendered, but the entire thing looks… dead. There’s just something incredibly lacking about it – the facial expressions, the poses, the composition, how stiff everyone looks, the complete lack of dynamic movement, it’s just all wrong. Being a huge fan of Valkyria Chronicles, I found this image insulting.

Hardcore card players playing anime card games. It’s like an anime version of Magic the Gathering!

Miku buying Miku merchandise. This is where you’d find artists like puppychun.

Actually very good cosplay. I’m not a Bleach or Naruto fan, but again, THIS is how cosplay is done right.

Yes, this is how good fanart looks. Stylized in your own way, but in ways that add to the original concept, not take away. While the general style is “generic”, it’s done well, and works well with the character.

Breaktime – a “local” drink – Bandung. It’s a rose syrup milk drink. It tastes deliciously sweet with a fragrant rose scent. This definitely tops my previous favorite – Orange Qoo.

There’s something about a group of cosplaying girls sitting around chatting. Bonus points for them being frilly loligoth cosplayers. You’ll notice they’r still segregated between the “anime hair color” group and the “natural hair color group”.

There were better poses from her, but oh well.

This guy was a great cosplayer. Very friendly, totally open, and very patient. He held that pose for a good 30 seconds while someone with a DSLR snapped away silently.

Then he took a picture with me like we’ve always been good friends. XD

Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere. When I first saw her wandering, I was floored. I wasn’t camera ready as she went through a door and vanished. I wasn’t satisfied leaving without a shot of her. I ran into her again (friend pointed her out). Unfortunately, this photo doesn’t do her justice anyway. I also saw ONE girl dressed as Konata (height was accurate too) but wasn’t camera ready at the time she went passed and disappeared around a corner.

Quite sad that this was the only pic I got of Danny Choo as he was mobbed and rushing away. I shouted “DANNY!” he looked over, and said “Hey!” That blurry thing in front of him is his hand as he waved. If I’m not mistaken, that’s Alodia. It’s blurry, but you can see her Witchblade makeup still on.

At the end of it all, after looking through all my photos, I feel it’s time I bought a new point and shoot camera. Most of the photos I got were blurry under this low light condition. There are cameras nowadays with face tracking, smile tracking, and anti-motion blur processing. I want to get a point and shoot that I can take out for quick shots and not have to worry about missing a moment.

AFA 09 was a lot of fun, and I really wish I was able to attend Day 2. I’ll definitely try to attend again. I’ll at least be attending my local anime con – Anime Evolution, though my friend tells me that I’ll be disappointed after having been exposed to AFA.

I’ve still got more to experience here, and I’ve already taken quite a number of photos of Singapore – the next most proliferating anime hub on the internetz. So stay tuned to check out what Singapore is like!

Aoi Bungaku – No Longer Human
4. New World



Showa 11. Oba hat Yoshiko geheiratet, und Horiki kommt ein letztes Mal zu Besuch vorbei, und bemerkt, dass es Oba zum ersten Mal wirklich gut geht, denn er hat seine Angst vor der Gesellschaft verloren. Beruflichen Erfolg hat er nun auch noch durch seine halbwegs ehrliche Manga-Biografie. Horiki ist nun eigentlich wegen dem Tod von Obas Vater gekommen, doch der Hinterbliebene hat garkein Interesse daran und schüttet sich mit einer Flasche Sake zu. Horiki will Wasser holen, erwischt dabei aber Obas Redakteuer, der über Yoshiko hergefallen ist, Oba siehts ebenfalls. Nun bricht Horiki auf, denn er selbst hat sich bei der Armee eingeschrieben und heute war sein vorläufig letzter Tag als Zivilist. Er wird Menschen in aller Welt töten, denn bergab gehts jetzt sowieso nur noch. Oba selbst hat mittlerweile verstanden, dass seine Frau nur mit seinem Redakteur geschlafen hat, um ihm Geld zu verschaffen und ihm so zu helfen. In der folgenden NAcht will sie sich schließlich mit Tabletten umbringen, doch Oba kann sie noch davon abhalten. Er sieht die Schuld schließlich bei sich selbst und schluckt die Pillen, wie von Sinnen, und er landet im Krankenhaus. Nach seinem Aufwachen belauscht er den ehemaligen Mitarbeiters seines Vaters, der nun sein Erbe einstreicht, und flüchtet aus dem Fenster hinaus in die weiße Pracht, wo er Blut heraus hustet und die Soldaten davon ziehen sieht. Schließlich besorgt er sich ein Beruhigungsmittel und will nun mit seinem eigenen Dämonen zusammenleben.
Nach dem Ende des ersten Buches kann ich mir den Luxus doch mal leisten, um das Highlight der Saison mit mehr Worten als bisher zu beschreiben. Der Sprechercast ist hervorragend ausgewählt, besonders beeindruckt hat mich Wataru Takagi als Horiki, dem ich solch eine düstere Rolle nie zugetraut hätte. Masanori Shino hat Takeshi Obatas Charakterdesign verlustfrei in die Animation gerettet, und Morio Asaka hat sich nach haufenweise Clamp-Umsetzungen auch als ausgezeichneter Regisseur fürs menschlich-abgründige bewiesen. Hideaki Taniuchi hat hier nach Death Note und Real Drive einen weiteren Hörgenuss abgeliefert, den man nur mit “Genial” betiteln kann. 5 / 5

Hetalia Axis Powers
Episode 42

Russland hat verrückte Schwestern: die verlässliche Ukraine (Yuki Masuda, Eri in Inu Yasha) und die schöne Weißrussland (Urara Takano, Maria in Sakura Wars). Und das macht niedergeschlagen… Ukraine hat aufgrund ihres extremen Vorbaus immer über Rückenprobleme zu klagen, arm ist sie sowieso. Nebenbei ist sie auch noch total ungeschickt, leicht dümmlich und sowieso begehrt. Seine jüngere Schwester Weißrussland hingegen ist total in ihn verschossen, faktisch wahnsinnig.
Diese Woche mit Russland-Ending, wunderbare Interpretation. 3 / 5

Kimi ni Todoke
6. Friends


Sawako versucht weiter, Yuuka und Anhang das ganze als Missverständnis klarzumachen, doch die drängen sie zu Boden. Draußen bildet sich langsam eine große Traube, Kazehaya, Ryuu, Yano und Yoshido sind ebenfalls dabei, die zwei Letzteren bahnen sich ihren Weg in die Toilette, lauschen aber erstmal. Sawako reagiert total verwirrt, als Yuuka meint, Sawako hätte das alles erzählt. Jedenfalls ist der springen Punkt, dass sie es nur auf Sawako abgesehen hat. Die hat weiterhin Verständnisprobleme und kommt nicht so wirklich mit und will die Gerüchte weiterhin nieder machen, was Yuuka aber nicht mehr interessiert. Schließlich wirds handgreiflich, also greifen Yano und Yoshida ein, die Bösen ziehen ab, man fällt sich in die Arme und weint ein Bisschen. Pin hat ganz zufällig von einer Schlägerei gehört und stürmt rein, in der Hoffnung auf ein bissle Blut; ist aber natürlich nicht drin. Kazehaya reagiert über das Endergebnis wieder etwas egoistisch, muss Sawako nun aber mit ihren Freundinnen teilen. Und ein weiterer positiver Nebeneffekt: dank ihrer Hilfe bei den Prüfungen ist Sawako nun der klasseneigene Zashiki Warashi.
Mamiko Noto sogt dank eines Versprecher (“Katzehaya”) für einen unfreiwilligen Lachen, und der mäßige CGI-Lüfter auf der Toilette hat mich total abgelenkt. Aber ansonsten prächtig, Yay. 4 / 5

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Purezza
6. My Body is burning up…


Neujahrstag ist in Japan bekanntlich der Tag, an dem die Schreine wohl den meisten Umsatz machen, und natürlich müssen Haruka und Yuuto dazu ihren Teil beitragen. Auf dem Weg erfährt Haruka von ihren Eltern aber erstmal von einer total tollen Klippe, die ein paar angeblich bei einem Kuss bei Sonnenaufgang auf ewig zusammenschweißt. Am Schrein selbst freut sich Nobunaga einen ab, weils genau wie in einem Anime aussieht (Kannagi?), wünscht sich eine Fortsetzung von Marimite und erfährt nebenbei noch von der Animefizierung von Ladies vs. Butler und dem Haruhi-Movie (kriegt das Studio so wieder Geld in die Kassen?). Haruka will sich an Yuuto ranschmeißen, wird allerdings von ihren Mitschülerinnen durch böse Blicke davon abgehalten. Schließlich ergibt sich aber doch noch die Möglichkeit für die einsame Zweisamkeit und man geht davon. Nichts geht ohne Kompliikationen: man stolpert direkt in die Opening-Sängerin Milan Himemiya (Hitomi Nabatame, Margery in Shakugan no Shana), die sich vor ihrer Managerin versteckt, schließlich aber doch noch zu ihrem Auftritt geht. Yuuto und Haruka genießen schließlich einen Pappbecher voll süßem Sake (japanisches Glühwein-Pendant?). Doch dann rutscht Haruka aus, der Kimono löst sich etwas. Das kann natürlich nicht so bleiben, also sucht man einen stillen Ort zum zubinden. Doch da ists stockduster und Haruka ängstlich, also muss Yuuto bleiben. Verschreckt durch eine Katze fällt Haruka schließlich halbnackt auf Yuuto. Der Kuss naht, doch ein umfallendes Stück Holz verhindert (vorerst) weiteren Kontakt. Weiter gehts zur Klippe, unterwegs nimmt Yuuto Haruka in seine Arme und schleppt sie den weiteren Weg. Kaum kommt man an, geht die Sonne auf und Haruka bitte Yuuto die Augen zu schließen. Dannn küsst sie ihm auf die Wange und erklärt die ganze Logik dahinter.
Mehr Insider-Humor, weniger Ecchi und schön viel Romance. Man ist wieder auf dem besten Weg. 3,5 / 5

Nyan Koi
6. Milk & Bitter & Sugar & Spice


Junpei rennt einfach vor dem Mädchen weg! Dafür nimt er sich aber vor, am nächsten Tag mit ihr zu reden, immerhin geht sie auf die selbe Schule. Infos werden dafür von Haruhiko bezogen, der das Ganze gleich noch gegenüber Kanako ausplaudert, und schon gibts Ärger. Junpei trifft aber erstmal auf die Gesuchte, Kotone Kirishima. Die überreicht ihm einen Liebesbrief und ist dann auch ganz schnell weg. Einen Moment später steht sie wieder vor ihm, wenn auch in anderen Klamotten (denkt er zumindest) und zerreißt den Brief und zischt ab, nicht aber, ohne zu sagen, dass er am Tempel aufkreuzen soll. Dort warten neben Tama und Nyamses auch die kleine schwarze Noir (Yukari Fukui, Nia in Gurren Lagann), die seit Jahren furchtbar schlecht auf Tama zu sprechen ist. Akari ist ebenfalls vor Ort, genauso wie ihre Zwillingsschwester Kotone. Erstere ist furchtbar fies, weil ihre Schwester Kotone in ihn verschossen ist, letztere stalkermäßig. Außerdem wissen sie beide vom Fluch und wollen ihm minimal helfen, mit Noir. Die hat eine Bitte (gewissermaßen), Tama soll sich endlich mal entschuldigen, dass er ihr den Platz in der Familie geklaut hat. Eigfentlich war das ja garnicht seine Absicht, der glatzköpfige Priester hatte es halt nur übertrieben. Jedenfalls schlendert die Zwei also die Straße entlang, Junpei hinterher, und eine Horde Hunde kommt an, Tama wirft sich heldenhaft davor und schon wird er fast zu Tode geschleckt. Junpei kratzt sich derweil am Arsch und bemerkt schließlich, dass es Kaedas Hunde sind und will mit ihr nochmal wegen dem Besuch im Vergnügungspark reden. Die zwei KAtzen sidn allerdings so laut, dass Junpei losschreit, sie sollen die Klappen halten, woraufhin Kaede verschreckt davonrennt. Die Twins kommen wieder an und essen mit ihm ein Eis. Einen Moment gibts schmerzvollen Besuch durch Kanako und Nagisa, und schließlich erklärt Junpei Kaede das Ganze.
Ich fands… lustig. Und gut. Unerwartet. Fukujama ist eindeutig wandlungsfähiger, als ich bisher erwartet habe und darf als Tama diesmal wieder ordentlich leiden. 4 / 5

Trapeze
4. Third Base


Der dieswöchige Patient hört auf den Namen Shinichi “Bando” Sakahigashi (Daisuke Namikawa, Koyuki in Beck), ist dritter Baseman der Tokyo Yakult Swallows und hat laut Irabu Yips, eine Art plötzlich auftretende Muskelzuckung, die ihm nun diverse Failballs eingehandelt hat. Erstmal kriegt er aber wieder eine Vitaminladung, die ja nicht als Dopingmittel zählt. Danach wird mit Irabu geübt, und plötzlich scheint es wieder so gut wie früher zu klappen. Irabu wirft auch ein paar gute Bälle, wenn auch nur aus schrägen Winkeln… der Jüngling Suzuki kratzt aber nun seit einiger Zeit an seinen Nerven, auch wenn dieser eigentlich garnichts dafür kann, und Shinichi sieht seine Position gefährdet. Da es immernoch Probleme gibt, besorgt ihm Irabu ein Buch mit den Baseballgrundlagen. Suzuki scheint sich nun auch noch verletzt zu haben, weshalb Shinichi beim nächsten Spiel wieder der Ruhm gehören soll. Doch kurz vorm Spiel gehts ihm wieder gut, Bandos Stresslevel steigt an und schließlich wirft er einem gegnerischen Spieler den Ball in die Breitseite, was in einer Schlägerei endet. Nach der Niederlage macht er sich erstmal ans Trinken, wo er auch zuviel Suzuki hört, und will schließlich nach Hause schwanken. Doch auf der Straße wird Suzuki gerade von zwei Yakuzas angepöbelt. Irabu meint, dass es ihm selbst vielleicht besser gehen würde, wenn Suzukis Popularität sinken würde, doch Shinichi ist nicht so und geht dazwischen. Zwar fängt er dafür einen Schlag ins Gesicht ein, aber eben auch eine Stärkung seines Selbstbewusstseins.
Das Übliche und meine Begeisterung sinkt immernoch nicht. 4 / 5

Umineko no Naku Koro Ni
4-2. Zugzwang


Gretel verabschiedet sich erstmal aus der Runde, ein bissle Nachdenken ist angesagt. Sie unterhält sich mit Maria, die weiterhin ihre Mutter verteidigt und nebenbei ihre magischen Fähigkeiten an dem Plüschtier Sakutaro (Minori Chihara, Coopa in Tower of Druaga) steigert, indem sie ihm eine Seele verpasst. Schließlich wird sie von Beatrice sogar als Hexe anerkannt und bekommt ihren ersten Titel als Schülerin des Ursprungs. Ange selbst kann auch Magie anwenden und ruft öfters mal Mammon herbei, unterlässt es nach einem fehlgeschlagen Zauber während ihrer Schulzeit dann aber einige Jahre. 1998 trifft sie sich mit einem der Mitglider der Rokkenjima Hexenjagd, die sich aus okkulter Sicht dem Geheimnis der Morde annähern wollen. Nach der Katastrophe fanden sich 2 Flaschen mit Beschreibungen zu den Vorfällen, jedoch mit völlig unterschiedlichem Inhalt, beide angeblich von Maria verfasst. Mit Marias Tagebuch ermittelt sich aber schnell die wahre Schreiberin.
Nette Episode, viel Maria und einiges an Hintergrund für Ange, inklusive dem Ursprung ihrer Magie. Über den fehlgeschlagenen Zauber hätte ich aber gerne noch mehr erfahren. 3,5 / 5

Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
13. Revenge of the Shit|We are Linus|The Optimism Prize



Chiri hat ein Gemälde falsch herum aufgehängt! Nicht so schlimm, dasselbe ist ja auch schon Monet passiert, und keiner hatte es bemerkt. Einfach ausgedrückt: Triviales fällt auch, das große Problem bemerkt aber niemand. Das zeigt sich zB bei Unfallopfern, die glauben, nur eine kleine Verletzung zu haben , und wegen des Adrenalinausstoßes garnicht das schräge Bein bemerken (übles Gundam00-Fanart im Hintergrund); Schreibfehler im Drehbuch der Episode; Veränderungen im Charakter von Personen (Meru schriebt Briefe!). Kafuka meint aber, dass die Leute das einfach aus purer Freundlichkeit ignorieren.
Komori fliegt die Decke weg, als besorgt Nozomu eine neue. Klappt aber natürlich nicht, schließlich hat sie den Linus-Komplex (man fühlt sich mit einem Gegenstand gar schrecklich verbunden). Und was tun? Man schickt die ganze Klasse los, nach der Decke zu suchen. Die findet sich schnell, wird aber wieder vom Wind weggehweht, direkt auf den Kopf eines zwielichtigen Politikers, der daraus eine Massenproduktion macht, um den Bürgern somit Sicherheit vorzugaukeln. Und es hat Erfolg, mit Japans Wirtschaft gehts bergauf! Schließlich hat mans aber auf Komori abgesehnm also will man Ablenkung schaffen. Nozomu hält von der ganzen Idee, dass Gegenstände einem Sicherheit verschaffen aber nix, sondern glaubt eher, dass es daran liegt, weils da draußen irgendjemandem noch viel schlechter geht. Ihm kanns ja egal sein, ist er doch Staatsdiener. Also will man nun kurzer HAnd Gesamt-Japan verbeamten. Das sorgt allerdings für den totalen Bankrott. Die Generäle der Schlagworte sind zurück, und sie sind fies! Dafür lassen sie sich dann aber vom Torsteher aufhalten. Dem einen, der schon vorher durchgekommen ist, hilft man dann gleichmal , weil seins weg/verloren/mies ist. Schließlich tauchen ein paar Generäle aus den Vorjahren auf, die ihm einreden wollen, dass er es seinlassen soll, damit er nicht genauso übel endet.
Weihnachtsnacht, ob Kiyohiko wohl kommt (try it the japanese Way)? Der taucht auf, doch wie feiert man das? Kafuka macht ihm Mut, dass heute alles möglich ist, ist ja immerhin seine Nacht. Dann wird gesungen, Rudolpf taucht auf und nette Psychiaterin kündert die näcste OVA an.
Kapitel 2 hätte besser als Finale getaugt mit seiner etwas eigenen Liebe (wobei dieses spezielle Weihnachten auch nicht schlecht ist), aber sonst… well, spaßig, fies, nett animiert. Aber eben kein echtes Ende, wie man es halt von Zetsubou Sensei kennt (am 17. soll die Bangaichi-OVA erscheinen). 4 / 5

Dieser Titel war mir eigentlich total unbekannt, das erste mal das ich von diesem Spiel hörte war als ich GIGA schaute und die Meldung kam das es sich nur 30k mal verkauft hat und SEGA total enttäuscht ist. Ich denke das muss wohl an der ultraschlechten Werbung fürs Spiel liegen, die nichteinmal vorhanden war, denn wie ihr wisst bin ich ein Newsseitenjunky und kriege von fast jedem Spiel jeden Tag etwas neues mit.

Aber weg von der schlechten PR-Abteilung von Sega und hin zum Spiel Valkyria Chronicles. Das Spiel ist ein überdurchschnittlich hochbewertetes Taktisches Rollenspiel im zeichnerischen Grafikstil für die PS3. Ich denke ein Durschnitt von 86 inkl. vier 100er Wertungen sprechen da für sich.

Um was gehts?

In Valkyria Chronicles herrscht im Jahre 1935 der 2te Europäische Krieg, Imperium und Demokraten stehen sich hier gegenüber. Das Datum hat nichts mit dem Weltkrieg zu tun, den es ja wirklich gab, der Krieg im Spiel ist fiktiv.
Ihr spielt den jungen Mann Welkies, welcher sich gerade am See umschaut um auf seinem Zeichenblock allerhand Dinge aufzumalen, doch dann wird er von einer Patroullie der Demokraten festgenommen, weil er als Spion des Imperiums verdächtigt wird. Mit in dieser Patroullie ist auch die junge Alicia, die für ihr Heimatdorf echt alles tut und deshalb wo etwas übertrieben hat, denn Welkies war wirklich nur am Zeichnen. Sie treffen kurz vorm Dorftor auf eine Mitbewohnerin des Dorfes und die Schwester von Welkies: Is. Is ist nur ihr Spitzname, den richtigen weis ich grad nich… Naja jedenfalls lässt Alicia ihn dann gehen und trifft sich später wieder mit den beiden an ihrem Haus, wo sie einen Korb voll frisch gebackenem Brot als Entschuldigung vorbeibringt.

Die Anwesenden stürzen sich in eine längere Unterhaltung als plötzlich Schüsse zu hören sind. Das Dorf wird vom Imperium überrannt und ihr seid es, die zusammen mit Alicia und den anwesenden Patroullien der Demokraten das Dorf beschützen müsst. Das ganze geht dann aber schief und ein Panzer des Imperiums taucht auf, bis Is den Panzer entdeckt der ihnen von ihrem Vater hinterlassen wurde entdeckt. Somit vertreiben sie das Imperium, aber das Dorf ist trotzdem nur noch ein Haufen Schutt und Asche, also machen sie das beste draus und gehen zur Militärbasis um sich für den anstehenden Krieg zu melden.

Gameplay

Es ist ein rundenbasiertes taktisches Kriegsspiel mit Rollenspielelementen. So kann man seine Charaktere anhand von Erfahrungspunkten nach belieben aufleveln lassen, worin sie dann neue Spezialfähigkeiten erlernen. Auch hat jeder Charakter besondere Eigenschaften, so ist zum Beispiel darauf zu achten, einige Charaktere mit Pollenallergie nicht als Scouts in Gräsern zu benutzen, oder sollten Leute die rassischtisch sind nicht mit anderen Soldaten eines anderen Volkes zusammenarbeiten usw. Es gibt wirklich viel auf das zu achten ist, falls ihr das nicht berücksichtigt, gibt es dann leichte Abzüge in Lebenspunkte, Angriffs- und Verteidigungskraft.

Das Spiel ist wie schon gesagt sehr taktisch angehaucht. Es gibt 5 Klassen, sowie einen Panzerführer. Scouts zum ausspionieren und vorgehen um zu sehen wer wo steht, Lancer zum beseitigen von Panzern und Co., Shocktrooper für den direkten Feuerkampf und Engineers, Sniper sind wohl selbstverständlich. Der Tankleader seid dabei immer ihr, Welkies. Ihr führt den Panzer, welcher übrigens auch aufrüstbar ist.

Ihr beginnt jede Mission mit der Player Phase, in der ihr eure Einheiten für eine begrenze Anzahl an Punkten fortbewegen könnt, einmal pro Runde darf auch jede Einheit einmal Angreifen. Ihr habt hierzu Combatpunkte, jede Einheit die zu Fuss unterwegs ist (alle ausser Panzerleader) verbrauchen einen Combatpunkt, Fahrzeuge, wie z.B. Tanks, verbrauchen 2 Combatpunkte. Ihr müsst also immer abwegen ob ihr lieber ein paar mal mehr mit dem Panzer agiert und dafür einige eurer Soldaten aussetzen lasst usw.

Sind alle Combatpoints futsch, beginnt die Enemy Phase und selbige Regeln gelten dann für den Gegner. Ihr solltet am Ende einer Phase also immer hinter Sandsäcken oder Mauern Deckung suchen, da ja jede Einheit auch nur eine bestimmte Anzahl an HP hat.
Ein Missionsziel besteht zum Beispiel darin, die gegnerische Basis einzunehmen, den Panzer des Gegners zu zerstören, alle Gegner zu besiegen oder nur einen bestimmten Leader ausser Gefecht zu setzen.

Aber ich denke am besten kann man sich ein Bild davon machen wenn man es sich mal anschaut:

Ersteindruck

Ich steh ja normalerweise nicht auf so Strategiezeug, aber das hier ist echt großartig! Wahrscheinlich, weil auch sehr viel Action dabei ist, aber das hier ist einfach das perfekte Spiel für mich. Für jeden mit einer PS3 ein Pflichtkauf, vorallem die gut gemachte Story… ich wünschte Sega hätte mehr Werbung für das Spiel gemacht nun hütet es die Ladenregale für 20 Euro und niemand kennt es wirklich – echt schade drum, ist nämlich ein Meisterwerk und beweist das Sega auch was anderes released als schlechte Sonic Spiele.

Yeah, I’m so outdated T_T… This is the only time when I felt that my schedule wasn’t that uptight,  so I tried to finish it ASAP!…

I’ll just make this post short.

As I’ve said earlier, personally, I think it’s one of the good anime in Spring 2009. (Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ is still on my top list).

CAST: 10/10 — Jun Fukuyuma(Maximilliam), Sakurai Takahiro(Faldio), Junko Minagawa(Rosie), Sayaka Ohara(Selveria)… very good choices ^.^

MUSIC: 8/10 — I like the very first OP song 8D… and the Insert Song of Rosie and Isara… but I don’t like the ending much~ except in the last episode, I liked that song ^_^

ART: 9/10 — The watercolor effect sometimes bothers me, but the character design was superb. I really like how they draw the characters.

ANIMATION: 9/10 —  At some point, there were parts that wasn’t animated good… Like in the episode that they thought there was a spy but it’s only a flying pig XD. Besides that, I think the war and fights were animated well.

STORY: 10/10 — It made me cry. Any anime that can touch my crazy heart, is good!!! The fact that there were shocking deaths, even though we know it’s about war, will really make you react and say, “WTF, WHY DID LET HER/HIM DIE… WHYYYYYY~”

Ladies Versus Butlers! – powstanie anime w 2010 r., piątego stycznia. Oficjalnie jest to potwierdzone. Historia będzie opowiadać o Akiharu Hino, normalnym i spokojnym chłopaku, niefortunnie wyglądającym jak rozrabiaka. Bohater wstąpi do szkołydla lokaji i pokojówek, jednak swoim wyglądem bedzie odstraszał żeńską część jej uczniów. Studio (XEBEC) które zajmie się tym anime stworzyło między innymi Elemental Gelade, Hitohira, Kanokon, Pandora Hears czy To love-ru. Anime będzie gatunku komedii i ecchi.

Break Blade – Jest już wiadome, że powstanie jakby anime na podstawie mangi Yunosuke. Jakby, ponieważ BB bedzie się składać z 6 movie, każdy po 50 min. Nie jest jeszcze powiedziana data wyjścia. Anime poświęcone będzie losom Rygarci Arrow (nie jestem pewna co do nazwiska), jedynej osobie żyjącej w swiecie fantasty, która nie potrafi korzystać z mocy kwarcu, źródła zasilania wszelkich maszyn. Pomimo tego bohater jest przydatny w walce w wojnie uczestniczonej przez jego cały naród, ponieważ jako jedyny umie sterować tajemniczym mechem. Do stworzenia tego anime również zajmie się studio, które jest twórcą Ladies Versus oraz Production I.G, które ma na swoim koncie anime typu Kimi Ni Todoke, Higashi No Eden, Sengoku Basara czy Tsubasa Chronicle. (wszelka pomoc) BB będzie gatunku akcji, przygody, fantazji i mechów, jak już można się domyślać.

Kaichou Wa Maid-sama! – pażdziernikowy numer “LaLa” ogłosił, że powstanie na podstawie mangi Fujiwary Hiro anime KWMS. Premiera będzie miała miejsce w 2010 r. Seria będzie opowadać o Ayuzawie Misaki, przewodniczącej samorządu uczniowskiego gardzącą swą populacją w męskiej częście uczniów. Główna bohaterka ukrywać będzie sekret, mianowicie pracowanie po szkole w kawiarence pokojówek. Jednak wszystko się zmieni, gdy najprzystojniejszy chłopak ze szkoły – Usui Takumi – odkryję tajemnice Misaki. Producent nie jest jeszcze wiadomy tak jak i dokładna data wydania. Wiadomo jednak, że gatunkami towarzyszącymi temu anime będą romans, komedia i szkolne życie.

Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~ – oficjalna strona anime Sekirei została wzbogacona o nowy filmik promujący drugą serię tego anime. Premiera nie jest nawet w 1% podana. Żaden rok, żaden miesiąc. Pierwsza seria opowiadała o Sahasim Minato, bardzo inteligentnym chłopaku, który pod wpływem stresu dwa razy oblał wstępny egzamin do koledżu. Dlatego też został nazwany nieudacznikiem. Pewnego dnia bohater spotyka Musubi, dziewczynę uciekającą przed dwoma bliżniakami. Później okazuję się, że Musubi jest Sekirei, jedną z 108 zabujczych postacvi walczących w zawodach organizowanym przez tajemniczą grupę MBI. Minato jak się dowiadujemy potem ma odpowiednie predyspozycje do zostania Ashikabi, partnerem Sekirei, dzięki któremu może ona używać spcjalnych mocy. Producent zostanie bez zmian (Seven Arcs) Gatunki również się nie zmienią, czyli można oczekiwać na dalszy blask ecchi, komedii i haremu.

So-Ra-No-Wo-To – można obejrzeć juz drugi filmik promujący to anime, które ma powstać tak jak i inne w 2010 r. Anime bedzie posiadać 13 odcinków i swoją premiere odbędzie w styczniu na kanale TV w Tokyo. Wszystko bedzię się kręcić wokół przyszłości, w świecie pełnym wojen. Główna bohaterka to Kanata Kumika, która spełniając swe marzenie w wieku 15 lat wstąpi do armii. Zostanie przydzielona do pięcioosobowej grupy kobiet, mającej chronić miasto, w którym sie znajdują. Serią zajmie się głównie studio Aniplex, które stowrzyło między innymi Kannagi, La Corda D’Oro oraz Naruto. Wspomagać ich bedzie również A-1 Pictures Inc. (Fairy Tail, Valkyria Chronicles) Gatunki nie są znane, ale można się spodziewać akcji, fantastyki itp.

Angel Beats! – powstanie anime w kwietniu 2010 r. Produkcją zajmie się studio Key. (Clannad, Kanon)

Ach je. Valkyria Chronicles. So viel falsch gemacht. Noch in den Previews sah die ganze Chose eigentlich ganz reizend aus – so etwa der hübsche Kniff beim Design, das die wasserfarbenartige Gestaltung der PS3-Vorlage emulierte. Von Kannagi und Birdy konnte man halten, was man will – aber dass das Studio A-1 animieren kann, stellen die beiden Titel allemal unter Beweis. Und dann noch ein Soundtrack von Hitoshi Sakimoto, der schon die großartigen Spiele von Yasumi Matsuno (Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII) musikalisch veredelte – klang nach einem eigentlich ganz anständigen Gesamtpaket. Nach einem ordentlichen Lückenbüßer, wenn mal wieder die Subs für die richtig guten Anime auf sich warten lassen sollten.

Die Rolle füllte Valkyria Chronicles zwar bei mir. Aber nur leidlich. Das fängt schon bei den Offensichtlichkeiten an; die Soldatinnen etwa haben wohl vor Dienstantritt eine zettai ryouiki-Verpflichtung einzugehen. Vermutlich aus Gründen der besseren Vergewaltbarkeit. Und es geht bei der Tatsache weiter, dass für einen Anime, der in kriegerischen Zeiten angesiedelt ist, über sehr, sehr lange Zeit herzlich wenig Krieg herrscht. Und es hört nicht erst auf bei geflügelten Schweinchen oder unsagbar penetrant (hihi) angelegten Schwuchteln oder nach hitlerscher Peniskompensation modellierten, gigantomanischen Panzern. Wobei, Hitlers Probleme waren anatomisch vielleicht doch etwas anders gelagert… naja, wie dem auch sei. Valkyria Chronicles krankte an allen Ecken und Enden. Bin nur froh, dass die letzte Episode schon etwas her ist und ich meine Notizen nicht mehr finde.

Das alles ließe sich ja noch alles verschmerzen. Anime leben von ihren Hyperbeln, vom frechen/vorbehaltlosen Zusammenschmeißen komplett konträrer Elemente. Anime ist eben Anime, wer da allzu realistische Maßstäbe anlegt, hat ehwieso verloren. Das alles nehme ich oft genug klaglos hin. Wenn nur die Story funktioniert – und genau das ist ist der Knackpunkt bei Valkyria Chronicles. Ist lange her, dass ich so einen mies gescripteten Anime gesehen habe. Darunter fallen zum Beispiel die Charaktere und ihre Motivationen, für die ich mir wünsche, dass es im Deutschen einen äquivalenten Begriff für generic gäbe. Oder run-of-the-mill. Wobei, versuchen wir’s näherungsweise: stinkgewöhnlich; einfallslos; sich bei Genrestandards bedienend; blutarm; ideenarm. Joa. Gar nicht mal so daneben.

Und selbst da könnte ich noch einige Augen zudrücken. Tue ich aber nicht, und daran ist Valkyria Chronicles selbst schuld. Das liegt vor allem an der Verwendung des Krieges als Setting. Dagegen habe ich nichts, im Gegenteil: das Thema hat sich in der Literatur als eines der ergiebigsten und eindrücklichsten überhaupt ergeben. Nirgendwo sonst kommen derart starke Sujets wie Tod, Leid, Gewalt, Angst zusammen und werden durch die Wucht des Krieges derart multipliziert, dass sie einem das Herz auffressen können. Nur, dass das diesem Anime herzlich latte ist. Der Krieg als Setting ist austauschbar – die grundlegende Handlung von Valkyria Chronicles könnte mit einigen geringen Modifikationen auch vor jedem anderen Hintergrund spielen können. Und das sehe ich nicht nur als verpasste Gelegenheit; ich nehme das übel.

Die obligatorische Todesszene – denn einer der Helden muss immer sterben – berührte mich nicht im Geringsten. Mich, der ich bei diesen Szenen immer wahnsinnig mitgenommen bin, der ich überhaupt jedem Anime wohlwollend gegenüber stehe, der den Mut aufbringt, eine wichtige Figur sterben zu lassen. Nur – Isara starb, und das war’s. Bisschen cookie-cutter-Trauer, dann weiter im Programm. Wir müssen ja noch die Klischees abklappern, die jedem anständigen Autoren schon vor dreißig Jahren zu peinlich geworden wären. Gemeinschaft? Gemeinschaft, klar. Muss rein. Eingeschworene Truppe und so. Megalomanischer last boss? Klar, die Kids stehen doch auf Kefka, ne? Rein damit.

Mit großartigen Erwartungen bin ich wirklich nicht rangegangen. Ich habe lediglich einen durchschnittlichen Anime erwartet – aber einen unterdurchschnittlichen bekommen. Wahrscheinlich klinge ich eine Spur gemeiner, als ich es mit Valkyria Chronicles meine – immerhin habe ich auch freiwillig alle 26 Episoden geschaut. Und so viel Fairness muss natürlich sein: Valkyria Chronicles ist eine Adaption, und wenn die Story im Spiel schon ähnlich doof angelegt war, kann der Anime auch nicht viel mehr rausreißen. Ändert aber nichts an der Tatsache, dass Valkyria Chronicles so oder so einfach kein richtig guter Anime ist. Den Absturz in tiefere Wertungsregion verhindert an sich vor allem die Tatsache, dass er von der sensationellen Beschissenheit etwa eines School Days doch noch reichlich weit entfernt ist. Wie wenn’s ein Trost wäre. 5/10

Given Sega’s recent announcement that Valkyria Chronicles 2 (PSP) would indeed be coming to U.S. shores in Summer 2010 I figured I’d best take a moment to voice my appreciation to everyone involved for the original game (which I’ll still be playing years from now) and for all of the fans out there that got the word out and made it the back door success story that it became. No doubt that support helped lead to the creation of a PSP-sequel where not only will we be able to experience a new chapter in Galia’s struggle against oppression, but another success on this platform could [potentially open the door for  future console releases so here’s hoping VCII finds an even bigger audience than the first one ended up finding and that we get more of this great series as a result. Actually, thought this quote from the Playstation blog about the possibility of future games was pretty interesting in that regard:

We’re still developing Valkyria Chronicles 2 so, to be honest, we’re not really thinking about Valkyria Chronicles 3, 4 or 5 at this point. Just in terms of how our team develops titles and our way of thinking when we choose the platform for each of our titles, it’s not necessarily “let’s make a PS3 game!”. It’s more a case of “what kind of game do we want to make?”. For example, the first Valkyria was on the PS3 because of all the features we wanted to incorporate into the game and we felt the PS3 was the most suitable platform, so that’s how we develop games in our team. So potentially Valkyria Chronicles 3, or another title that we work on next might be on the PS3, it might still be on the PSP, we don’t know at this point.

Because we’ve already got experience of working on the PS3 and now we’re developing another game on the PSP, that just adds to our level of experience and understanding of these platforms and will definitely help us in determining what is the best platform for the next game that we make.

I know I’m excited about the opportunity to take the game with me when traveling, work, school, etc. given the addictive nature of the SRPG gameplay, and by all indications the presentation will be about as top-notch as the PSP can provide. Which is extremely impressive given what the trailer below indicates. So, stay tuned for more on the game and in the meantime feel free to check out the newly released Japanese trailer for an idea of what you can expect:

Yes, that’s all. The Valkyria Superpowers/Valkyria Juggernaut/Max is an ambitious traumatized madman ? Not exactly something new. This series went from fun and intersting to MIGHTY EXPLOSIONS and hackneyed drama. Endings are never easy, this one didn’t knock my socks off, but it did the job. I might be biased because they killed Jaeger, though.

so i checked out Valkyria Chronicles over this spring season and havn’t got around to wrighting a review, so here it is…..

brief Summary of the series, An Imperial force attacks a small town of Bruhl, Welkin Gunther, Son of a late General Belgen Gunther, has to fight for his life alongside with the Towns watch captain, Alicia Melchiott along with Welkin’s adopted sister Isara. The thress of them escape to Gallia’s capital and end up joining the country’s militia forces. Welkin is assigned to a newly formed team squad 7. Welken becomes the leader of the squad and work to stop and defeat the Imperial forces with his squad. Sound neat eh?

oh and if you start watching this series and enjoy it DO NOT WATCH the 2nd opening but if you don’t mind too many spoilers then have at it!

I thought this anime series was going to be pretty cool, maybe it might be like Saving Private Ryan or something. There arent many anime series like this that ive seen, this one had a real war feel to it like a war from the past way past like war world stuff.So I figured i’d give this a shot and try it out, after the first half of the series I was about to drop this and be done with it, then i watched the 2nd opening. The 2nd opening looked cool enough to bring me back to this series for some reason, It did spoil the anime a bit tho, but i still ended up watching it.The 2nd half of the series wasn’t too bad, i enjoyed it, the story started to pick up and the ending was just as good. They do tell you what happens after the war and what happened to the characters which was a good way to end the anime in my opinion. So i was happy i stayed with this anime to the end.

Now I have not played Valkyria Chronicles on the playstation, I want to but I don’t think ill find time to play it.I hear its pretty good and is a different kinda story which is nice, i rather watch the Animes then play most of the games anyways. 3 out of 5 for this one, the story was ok, war story with drama and some action, the fight scenes where pretty cool, tho i wished we had a bit more action and more other hand to hand fights, Animation was fine felt different in some ways but not a bad different.

Characters

Welkin Gunther

I didnt like him to much in this series, one of those dense characters, I wanted to reach into the screen and punch Welkin out and tell him to Snap out out it. I don’t really like the dense characters, tho I guess it makes for an interesting character,story not to say I wont watch it cause of a character like that just not my favorite type of character. He was pretty cool near the middle and the end, he brought people together with his speeches lifted the moods or those around him and wanted to make everyone happy and keep them all safe.

Isara Gunther

The cutest girl in the series, well next to Alicia anyways, But Isara was the quit girl who most of the time tried to bring people together and a bit too friendly. Plus she drives a tank! The Tank, Edelweiss! Isara drives and maintains this unique tank, Edelweiss, that her biological father, Theimer, designed in the First European War but was too expensive to mass-produce. This Tank looked Bad ass! and it can go underwater, how awesome is that! and it looked way cooler then the other looking tanks, tho the bad guys id have to admit they did have some cool looking vehicles aswell. Sadly Edelweiss wasnt really used that much in the series.

Faldio Landzaat

I thought a few times he had some special feeling for Welkin, but he turned out to be a cool guy near the middle and the end of the series but hes a bastard! That is all…

Alicia Melchiott

The girl who wanted to bake bread and help people awww how nice. Alicia would have to be my favorite character in

this series, she was funny, cute and was fun to watch her and welkin together either fighting or being nice to each other. Even when she was holding a gun and fighting she just looked like a cool character to me. Alicia Melchiott Was voiced by Marina Inoue who also voiced Kana Minami from Minami-ke Anime, and I kept thinking Kana was Alicia and she joined the war efforts Go Kana Minami! Your all grown up /cry

Maximilian

I call him Lelouch vi Britannia, both characters fit just about perfect, both wanna rule the world! every time he talked or did anything I thought of Lelouch and so i changed his name for myself! funny thing too, the voice actors are the same. Jun FUKUYAMA vocied both Lelouch and Maxmilian, i thought was fitting and pretty cool.He is your basic ruler, tho he didnt really care who got in his way he made sure to deal with it quickly and move on.

And all the other characters, they had roles and stuff but nothing that really caught my eye to talk about, the ones I listed are the only ones that i really liked and followed.

So in closing if you like war type anime then pick this on up, i don’t think you would be disappointed, its slow at first but then picks up with some action and some drama.

Looks like the Official Website for Valkyria Chronicles 2 have posted videos from TGS2009 with Trailers and Character cutscenes. The game play does not look too bad seeing how they managed to squeeze a PS3 sized game engine into a PSP.

epi 24: wew,, AliciaXSelvaria battle scene didn’t fill my expectation~~ T^T it was more cool on the first battle T^T
epi 25: Selvaria do some self-destruct so Alicia and the other regular fie too, but luckily Alicia can save her own self. Maximillian shows his greediness here. he shot Selvaria servants, just because he said selvaria was a good person.
Cordelia-hime was a darcsen! yuppu, i shocked with this one. she revealed this because maximillian want to marry her for political reason, but, Gallia people will have no profit with these.

ep 26: wew,,, there was AliciaXMaximillian battle scene here,, MAximillian uses some spear like what Alicia use. it can emitted the same power like Alicia,,, Alicia won~~

Con este par de episodios concluimos otra serie, en ellos veremos el desenlace de la batalla decisiva, aunque pese a la abundante acción, la trama se torna muy previsible y el combate contra Maximilian es bastante decepcionante.

A nivel técnico, los capítulos no sorprenden, mostrando la calidad habitual de este anime, la cual no pasa de correcta. En definitiva, estamos ante una serie prescindible, pero que se deja ver.

I regret myself for not following this anime weekly, mainly because this anime is no doubt the best of the Spring to Summer animes. Tears to Tiara, which I have made frequent comparisons when it first started, lags far from this anime.

Valkyria Chronicles is great because it focuses on love and friendship more than the desire to fight for independence in Tears to Tiara. That’s why Tears to Tiara was dropped. The last few episodes talk about Alicia and the whole Squad 7 and their trust and bond with one another. Of course, the main highlight was the love between Welkin and Alicia. At the end, the power of love saves the day. The kiss between Welkin and Alicia is one that I haven’t seen in a long time with shitty current animes. It’s so sweet and makes my heart melt.

Having said that, the series comes to a close and the best animes which I will recommend in 2009, it did be Valkyria Chronicles, not Haruhi or K-On or Bakemonogatari. Phantom would have been one of the best if not for the trollific ending. Thank you very much, Bee-Train, to think I watched Phantom weekly instead of Valkyria, a huge foresight on my part.

As for my other animes, Fall animes will come as well as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Hayate no Gotoku. Old animes include 2002 romantic comedy and slice of life, Chobits.

Wszystko się kiedyś kończy, nie inaczej jest w przypadku Valkyria Chronicles. Jedni twierdzą, że anime w porównaniu do gry jest słabe. Nie będę się z nimi kłócił bowiem w grę nie grałem ale również dlatego, że anime to nie gra i pewnych rzeczy nie da się z gry przenieść do anime o czym wiele z tych narzekających osób zapomina. Koniec z tymi rozważaniami przejdźmy do odcinka ^^.

Zaczynamy sceną w poprzedniego odcinka kiedy to oddział 7 wspierany przez Faldia rozpoczyna szturm na super czołg Maximiliana. Udaje im się dostać do środka poprzez wyrwę w pancerzu zrobiona przez Alicję. Welkin mówi, że pójdzie pierwszy ale Largo mówiąc w imieniu całego oddziału nie pozwala mu na to. Wszyscy zgodnie postanawiają działać jako przynęta aby Welkin mógł ratować Alicję. Welkin dziękuje im i rusza jej szukać. Członkowie 7 oddziału robią małą demolkę aby zwrócić na siebie uwagę i udaje im się. Rozbici na mniejsze grupki walczą w ciasnych korytarzach z żołnierzami Maximiliana. Niektórzy zostają ranni ale niegroźnie. Alicja (niestety zbyt zmęczona by używać mocy Valkyrii) zostaje doprowadzona przed oblicze Maximiliana, który proponuje mu by dla niego pracowała. Ona jednak odmawia obracając jego słowa przeciw niemu przy okazji dosadnie go obrażając. On postanawia pokazać jej, że nie jest zwykłym bezwartościowym człowiekiem. Welkin zostaje wykryty przez wrogich żołnierzy ale z pomocą zjawia się Faldio. Razem przedzierają się przez kolejne grupy żołnierzy ale Faldio zostaje ranny osłaniając Welkina. Faldio mówi mu ten śpieszył do Alicji a on zajmie się żołnierzami i potem do niego dołączy, Welkin rusza choć niechętnie zostawia przyjaciela. Kiedy tylko Welkin znika Faldio zsuwa się po ścianie na ziemię czując, że to jednak jego koniec bierze granat i gdy zbliżają się do niego żołnierze zabiera ich ze sobą na tamten świat. Welkin wydaje się zdawać sobie sprawę co się stało w chwili gdy słyszy wybuch ale zaciska zęby i rusza dalej. Welkin trafia na platformę gdzie zauważa związaną Alicję zanim jednak do niej dobiega mało nie traci życia przez wystrzał z nowej zabawki Maximiliana – System Valkyrii dla zwykłego człowieka, korzystający z mocy tej przerośniętej lancy nad nimi. Maximilian uwalnia Alicję i chce stoczyć z nią pojedynek (o szczerze wątpliwej uczciwości). Alicja resztkami sił jest w stanie unikać jedynie jego ataków. Welkin celując do niego mówi by się poddał ale ten strzela do niego raniąc go w nogę. W Alicji budzi się znowu trochę mocy Valkyrii i dzięki temu udaje jej się doskoczyć do Welkina i zaciągnąć go za osłonę.

Ich ostatnia wspólna akcja

Faldio: Jeśli mam tu zginąć to zabiorę was ze sobą

Prawie jak Valkyria, prawie czyni wielką różnicę

Welkin próbuje wykombinować jak unieszkodliwić broń Maximiliana ale ten nie pozostawia im czasu na rozmowę. Alicja próbuje z nim walczyć ale bez lancy i tarczy nie idzie jej zbyt dobrze. Kiedy ma ją trafić tym razem Welkin ratuję ją w ostatniej chwili. Niestety o9boje są teraz wystawieni na jego atak lecz gdy Maximilian ma ich zabić w jego broni pojawia się zwarcie spowodowane nadmiarem mocy z wielkiej lancy. Welkin dedukuje, że jeśli jeszcze bardziej przeciążą jego broń to może uda im się unieszkodliwić ją na dobre. Oboje jednak nie są w stanie przebić się przez jego obronę. Maximilian decyduje zabić Welkina jako pierwszego po tym jak ten uderza jego broń znalezioną rurką. W tym momencie Alicją chwyta Maximiliana i uwalnia gigantyczne ilości mocy Valkyrii pokrywając jego ciało bliznami(?) i unieszkodliwiając broń. Welkin celuje do niego i każe mu się poddać ale ten woli zginąć niż się poddać – przy okazji rozpoczyna tym autodestrukcję czołgu. Alicja widząc, że dzieje się z nią to samo co z Selvarią (pamiętacie to wielkie BOOM na końcu jej życia, prawda?) każe Welkinowi zostawić ja i uciekać. On jednak przeskakuje przez płomienie i nie zważając na jej prośby by odszedł zostaje z nią i mówi jej, że ja kocha. W chwili pocałunku nagromadzona energia zostaje wystrzelona w niebo. Welkin zwraca jej chustę piekarza i oboje opuszczają rozpadający się czołg. Na zewnątrz czeka na nich cały oddział. Następnie lektor przedstawia nam dalsze wydarzenia (zakończenie wojny paktem pokojowym miedzy Imperium i Galią). Epilog ukazuje nam dalsze losy postaci. Ludność nadal uwielbia Cordelię po tym jak ujawniła, że jest Darcsenką, Largo i Varrot nadal służą razem i zbliżyli się ku sobie – co z kolei boli oddziałowego homo, bracia Bielart wracają do domu, Edy i Homer są na stacji i gdzieś się wybierają i są z tym problemy- tak btw. zauważyłem to dopiero robiąc screeny ale czy to nie przypadkiem Jaeger przechodzi za nimi? O_O, Marina jedzie gdzieś pociągiem razem z Hansem, Karl wraca do dziewczyny(?), Aisha do swoich rodziców, Susie do swojej rodziny, Rosie jedzie gdzieś z Zaką a Alicja i Welkin wracają do Bruhl. THE END.
Tak zgadliście pora na podsumowanie ^^. VC było przyjemnym anime, który trzymało w miarę równy poziom jeśli chodzi o historię i kreskę (czasem bywało lepiej a czasem były drobne zgrzyty jednym i drugim). Do dźwięku nie ma się gdzie przyczepić. Szkoda trochę, że drugi opening był gigantycznym spoilerem ale moim zdaniem zakończenie historii (zamykające wszystkie wątki i pokazujące co się stało z bohaterami) wynagradza tą małą “wpadkę”. Jeśli ktoś nie czytał moich poprzednich wpisów i nie oglądał tego anime polecam bo warto.

Metal Gear: remake?

Remake készülhet az 1987-es MSX-es Metal Gear-ből – legalábbis Kojima szívesen látni. Igaz, nem ő készítené, “túl kevés év maradt a hátralevő életemből hogy időt tudjak szakítani rá”. Kojima szívesen látná egy ifjabb, több ötlettel rendelkező fejlesztő vagy csapat közreműködését, amely akár nyugatról is érkezhet. Kojima korábban már dolgozott együtt nyugati fejlesztőkkel, a Metal Gear Solidot az amerikai Silicon Knights keltette újra életre a Gamecube korszakban.

Én nagyon örülnék neki.

HELL YEA BEST END EVER!

Too bad Faldio sorta died…pretty insignificantly. Maybe that’s why the anime gave him so much filler time at the beginning because of his insignificant death at the end??? Who knows. Whatever. I got kissing and handholding. This series is instawin! Okay maybe not, I did have to sit through a lot of crap to get to this episode. Maximillian looked really gross and reminded me of Rei Ayanami too. But it was worth it…( *´艸`)ﾌﾌﾌ
