Never has a title for one film fit so well!!

Trapped in a city as temblors, tornadoes and asteroids ravage the land, three terrified friends (Carmen Electra, Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Minnillo) get swept up in a series of wacky adventures as they look for a way to stop the onslaught of natural disasters.

So this is directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the same asshole responsible for those shit turds of films Meet The Spartans, Date Movie, and Epic Movie. And right now these guys need to be stopped!

Each one of these movies they’ve been known to just be parodies, they kind of have some sort of a thread of a plot, but most of it is just referring to whatever movie was popular at the time. You would honestly think that by looking at the title and the poster to the right, that this whole film would be parodying the disaster movie genre. However my friends, that is exactly where your wrong!! The only parodying of disaster movies in this one is that there is just apparently a string of disasters that happen, and no parody of the disaster film itself. WTF!!!

I loved how in the end of the film they said it “was written by..” when really absolute no one wrote this piece of crap. Honestly, the directors probably just went on IMDB and did a quick search and see all the popular trailers, and dress people up in the costumes, and just parody the shit out of these wayy better films.

There is a wrestling scene between Kardashian and Electra and I was ready to see all the T & A’s flying everywhere, and somehow in the world they manage to fuck that up as well. How can you get two chicks wrestling each other in little clothing and mess it alllll uppp????!!!!!

Consensus: Basically the film is just a piece of huge turd that shouldn’t be watched by anybody especially with a group of friends, cause nobody will laugh. And if they do kill them right on the spot.

Well, well, well — anyone who knows me also knows that this was just a matter of time. There are many “firsts” in life. You get your first car, you have you first kiss, the first time you throw up due to alcohol consumption — y’know, those first times, that come to define a lot of your experiences. Here we have Vanessa Minnillo, my undeniable first celebrity crush, and woman I honestly fell in love with, albeit through the TV screen.

You know how you’re like, seriously determined about some celebrities? “I’m gonna marry her, I know it … if I work hard enough … that’s my future wife, dawg, that’s my future wife” But you’re, like, extra serious, though. Well yeah, Vanessa Minnillo was mine.

Ms. Minnillo was born nearly 30 years ago in the Phillipines, and has probably been a beautiful person ever since. She’s most famous for her Ms. Teen USA crown, iconically hosting MTV’s TRL for about 4 years, and then a position on Entertainment Tonight as a New York correspondent. I remember back when I was fervently watching MTV, and Vanessa Minnillo was hosting the flagship TRL. At first, she was so fine that I had to watch the show everyday. Then, as time went on and my admiration of her grew, she was so fine that I couldn’t watch the show on any day. She was too beautiful to watch and have no way of getting near.

Let’s say you had a kid in a candy store, except there’s only 1 piece of candy in the entire store, and it’s on, like, a 17 foot shelf, with no ladder in sight. You might as well just leave the store, instead of torturing yourself. I literally stopped watching TRL when I was 16, for that very reason.

Anyway, sob (and, maybe slightly weird) story aside, the point is that Vanessa Minnillo is FINE. She’s still on my ‘maybe one day’ list, but has been moved down to #2, in lieu of the silky Keri Hilson securing the #1 spot — see: currently the top ranker.

(And yes, I did not include even a bare mention on Nick Lachey, on purpose)

Nara Shikamaru

This dude is raw. My great appreciation of Naruto as a series is probably now glaringly obvious. I have 3 favorite characters that rank equally: Jiraiya, Hatake Kakashi, and Nara Shikamaru. I’ve covered one (Jiraiya), and here’s number 2.

Shikamaru is a vitally interesting character because of how he defeats his opponents. He seems lazy and unenthusiastic on the surface, but under this he possesses a fearsome level of intellect that he regularly uses to form seamless and impressive strategies. In the series, he is recognized as “beyond genius” with an IQ over 200, and is known as the smartest ninja in Konoha. In fact, his (now deceased) sensei, Sarutobi Asuma, remarked that Shikamaru has the ability to become Hokage, were he not so lazy and disliking of lots of responsibility.

Even though he finds most things “troublesome”, Shikamaru is also a dedicated and great leader, who has the respect of those who follow him, and will lay his life down on the line in an instant for his teammates. In this, he fits my favorite type of superhero — the undeniably intelligent leader. Batman, Iron Man, Captain America, Magneto, etc. are all my favorite characters for that reason. Shikamaru is easily up there.

He also finds women to be largely a bother, which I find funny (see: true), too. Don’t get caught in his shadow!

Many former beauty pageant queens often fade into obscurity once their reign is over with only the memories of their crowning glory left behind. But ever since being crowned Miss Teen USA in 1998, Vanessa Minnillo has been a constant fixture in the celebrity sphere. Her natural poise in front of the camera coupled with her exotic good looks have landed her hosting jobs for MTV and Entertainment Tonight as well as acting roles in TV and film. Meanwhile, her relationship with Nick Lachey has ensured that her name will always be on the tip of every gossipmonger’s tongue.

Almost eleven years after her career-making win, Vanessa still commands the spotlight. She kicks off the start of 2009 as host and judge on a new reality show courtesy of Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher called True Beauty – scheduled to air January 5th on ABC. Alongside fellow judges Cheryl Tiegs and Nolé Marin, Vanessa oversees a group of clueless hotties vying for the top spot in a beauty competition, unaware that they’re actually being judged on their inner beauty, or lack thereof.

The concept behind the show should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with the crazy ideas that tend to spring from the minds of Banks and Kutcher. In fact, the experience has left Vanessa both amused and perplexed. “I was laughing so hard that I was crying,” she says. “I cannot believe some of the things that are said and done when the contestants know there are cameras mounted in the house, and they’re being filmed.” She continues, “I mean, if this is what they’re like in a challenge, Lord knows what they’re like when there are no cameras.”

Though Vanessa walked away from her hosting duties on MTV in 2007 to focus on developing an acting career, she admits she relished the chance to be involved with True Beauty. “I literally begged my team to get me in that room,” she says. “It’s a great concept and I was so eager to jump on the opportunity.” In the hyper-botoxed world of Hollywood where style often trumps substance, the last thing on anyone’s mind is the inner beauty of the starlet sitting in front of them.

Then again it’s a much more refreshing concept than the typical dime a dozen beauty contests. “[The show] is like a big social study; like dropping a pebble in a pond and watching the ripple effect. The perception of a beautiful person is changed once the inside is revealed,” says Vanessa, describing the philosophy of the program. “You can meet someone who’s smoking hot, but be turned off by their arrogance or rudeness. Ultimately, true beauty comes from within.”

But rest assured that no contestants were harmed during the taping, although some egos may have been slightly bruised. “We’re not out to get them,” assures Vanessa. “Some of them learned, some of them didn’t, but they’re all really good people and all very entertaining.” Despite the aura of superficiality that permeates the City of Angels, Vanessa swears that compassion and graciousness are truly valued. “Inner beauty definitely goes a long way in Hollywood,” she says. “People remember if you’re easy to work with; they remember if you’re not easy to work with. They remember if they liked your methods.”

For Vanessa, it’s a matter of personal importance to be kind to everyone she crosses paths with, not just the Hollywood type. “Every single kid and every single person deserves your best because it might be the first and last time they ever meet you.”

As a former beauty queen, the young woman possesses a unique perspective on the importance society places on outward appearances. “Unfortunately, perception is reality in this world,” she says. “The media can paint any picture they want, and whatever is not aesthetically perfect in their eyes will get picked on.” Yet, it seems like weathering over a decade in the industry has made Vanessa practically immune to the scrutiny. Her most powerful weapon for dealing with intense media judgments is simply self-assurance. “It’s unfortunate that they pinpoint every imperfection,” she says. “But it’s more important to just feel confident about yourself. ”

She doesn’t shy away from acknowledging that she’s made some bad decisions in her life [like those odd photos that surfaced in 2007 depicting her and Lindsay Lohan wielding knives at each other], but it’s also refreshing to hear she’s not placing the blame for those choices on anyone else. “I’ve made mistakes, and the bar is raised for me,” she admits. “Can you imagine if you made a mistake, and then it’s thrown in your face throughout the media? The stakes are definitely higher for people in our industry and we have to take a little longer to think about what we’re doing. I can’t sit here and go ‘woe is me’ because I know I need to watch myself more than the other person.” Success in the entertainment world has been extremely sweet.

On the flip side, her relationship with Nick Lachey, whom she’s been dating since 2006, continues to make tabloid headlines, and it seems like speculation on whether the two have or have not broken up will never end. “It’s like, at what point are we seriously dating to the world?” she asks. “As long as people are dating, the public still wonders. They still question whether you’re gonna break up one day just because you’re not married.”

As for their future together, the duo is taking it day by day. “There’s no pressure to get married. There’s no pressure to have kids,” admits Vanessa. “People date for years, but since we are in a certain percentile [of celebrities], people have this certain expectation. Maybe more so for him…” At this point Vanessa’s publicist cuts in asking us to wrap things up. Though the interruption is surprisingly abrupt, it’s also understandable. It’s never easy having strangers pry into your personal life, but at a particular point it does come with the territory, and Vanessa acknowledges this also. “If this is the price that I have to pay, like dealing with paparazzi every now and then, to live the life that I have, then it’s a small price to pay,” she says. “I’m not gonna cry about it because I’m blessed to be on this career path and to have all these opportunities.”

Nick Lachey has confirmed that he’s back with longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. The two split in June after three years together. He said:

“I am happy in a relationship. I was single for a minute, there, and then we’ve kind of patched things up. She is a very smart girl. She’s far smarter than I!”

The couple took time apart to reevaluate their relationship, but quickly realized they couldn’t live without each other. A source explained: “They’ve always had a lot of love for each other, but they took a little break, and now they’re working on their relationship.”

Aww, I’ve always thought they made a cute couple! Nick seems like a sweet guy (from his and Jessica’s show at least) and Vanessa is so cute and seems sweet herself.  I hope they stay together this time around

Television shows in general are known to sometimes focus on the “beautiful people.”  The newly formed reality television show True Beauty, produced by Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher, focuses on beauty from the outside as well as the inside. Contestants on the show are under the impression that their external beauty is what is being focused on, yet it is their inner beauty that counts.  The contestants consisting of both males and females, take part in challenges which on the surface appear to be based on physical appearance and attractiveness, yet it is how the contestants act and conduct themselves that is being judged.

In her True Beauty blog, host and Judge Vanessa Minnillo said she “can honestly say from the bottom of my heart, there is beauty in all 10 of these contestants” however, “sometimes they are looking at all the wrong things that make them beautiful… as do many of us.”

Minnillo’s interest in hosting this show streamed from the notion that perceptions of what is deemed to be “beautiful” can change once someone’s inside is exposed.

“Have you ever met a really attractive person and then suddenly not like them so much after talking with them? Or vice versa, have you ever met someone who you didn’t notice immediately in the room or in a crowd, but after getting to know them you couldn’t look away because there was something about them, something beautiful, and it came from their heart.” Minnillo said.

Texan beauty, Julia Anderson was the first to earn the title of being a True Beauty. She excelled in the final interview and photo shoot challenges, displaying her combination of good looks and an approachable and friendly nature. The 23 year old beauty won $100, 000 in cash as well as being featured in PEOPLE magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” issue.

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash was in Las Vegas Friday headlining the 20th anniversary birthday party at The Mirage, dubbing the event” Slash and Friends.” The axeman’s so-called friends included fellow GNR bandmate Matt Sorum and previously-mentioned fellow drummer Tommy Lee; Hole’s unladylike leading lady, Courtney Love; Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry; Maroon 5 hottie Adam Levine; Pussycat Dolls’ stunner Nicole Scherzinger; musician/screenwriter Rob Zombie; Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham; and Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. What’s more, Keifer Sutherland served as master of (the star-studded) ceremonies. 

Whew, try saying all that in one breath- and we’re just getting started…

 If club hopping and spotting celebrities are your cup of tea, don’t forget to check out Her Greatness, the inimitable Paris Hilton as she graces Body English, the nightclub at the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel.  This is THE favorite Las Vegas nightclub for Hilton, but don’t expect to spot her until around 11 p.m. – a gaggle of cackling groupies are a sure-fire sign of her presence. 

Hilton watchers will remember the mini firestorm that erupted about a month ago when a local gossip columnist suggested the scandal-prone heiress was “wasted” at Wasted Space via Twitter. 

Sober, tipsy, wasted or otherwise, Hilton will ensure Saturday night is a smash as she hosts “Smashtime” at Body English, along with E! Personality and BE Saturday night resident Clinton Sparks. 

But if being in a state of mindless DJ bliss is your ticket, might want to head down tonight to the Rain nightclub at the Palms Casino around 10 p.m. as Paul Oakenfold presents Perfecto. 

However, then again, if you’re a firm believer that a wholesome family celebrity life can indeed happen in Las Vegas, then put on your swimming trunks and head over to the Wet Republic ultra pool at the MGM this afternoon as the terrible actress, poor singer, and the sister of Jessica, an escalating train wreck and wife to an annoying band member, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz turns 25 today, blowing the candles out on her paparazzi pie.

Yep, the C-list celebritybirthday party guests will most likely celebrate by spending time with husband Pete and cute son Bronx Mowgli today and her family; though we’d really rather she would hang out with an acting coach. 

That said, it’s pretty safe to say the senior Simpson sister’s ex, Nick Lachey, won’t be anywhere near Wet Republic or the sisters’ SPF this weekend – though he will be in town this weekend. 

Lachey, however, has been spotted in and around the Venetian/Palazzo (including at First Food and Bar on Thursday) and will likely stay on property, for the most part. What’s more: Lachey’s current flame Vanessa Minnillo is rumored to be with him. 

There are a lot of other notable Las Vegas birthday candles to blow out this weekend.

The Mirage is turning 20; PT’s, a local dive chain, is celebrating an amazing fog-filled 27 years; Tao is toasting its fourth birthday; and Lavo is about to mark a year of success and excess on the Strip. 

All these birthdays mean three things: Lots of cake and lots of candles — and lots of celebrities, too. 

Paris Hilton was also at the Vision Expo yesterday, promoting her new line of sunglasses at the Gripping Eyewear booth (#18103), but the blonde ambition’s endorse-a-palooza didn’t stop there: Hilton took her fashionable show down the street to the Hard Rock Hotel, where she strutted her stuff in a poolside fashion show.  You might think of Hilton as a real life Barbie– you can dress her up, but be very careful when and where you take her out. 

Today, the Vision Expo will be graced by rapper Pitbull who will take to the Revolution Eyewear booth at noon. Also at the Expo on Saturday will be PGA Tour golfer Kenny Perry, swing coach Matt Killen, and vision trainer Larry Lampert, who will be appearing n behalf of Transitions Optical (booth #10053). While the trio of golf pros will be chatting up Transitions lenses, they’ve also promised to share a few tips to help fans improve their golf game, too. 

Meanwhile, Mario Barth’s “Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth” also got under way on Friday, across the street from MGM at Mandalay Bay, with some 1,000 of the hottest tat artists. The three-day ink fest also features a sizeable collection of celebs, including Tommy Lee, Jack Osbourne, Mark McGrath, Evan Seinfeld, and Duff McKagen. 

Barth’s action will move to the Hard Rock on Saturday, where tattoo legend will co-host Inked magazine’s first annual Inked True Colors Awards, which will feature a special performance by The Bronx.  After that he and his entourage will likely move the party to New York-New York after the awards, however, as Beastie Boys DJ extraordinaire Mix Master Mike takes to the turntables at a tattoo show afterparty at Rok. 

While the Tao restaurant-nightclub has released the mile long list of confirmed guests for this evening’s four-year birthday party, everyone knows the place will be crawling with more celebrities and VIPs that what is listed. 

The big names on the list now include actress Amanda Bynes; actor Mekhi Phifer; Dr. Allison Cameron from “House,” aka Jennifer Morrison; and “Blade” vampire Stephen Dorff.  But it doesn’t end there, oh no… Aaron Paul, Adam Gregory, Amanda Righetti, Beth Ostrosky, Brandi Cibrian, Carson Kressley, Clifton Collins, Danielle Panabaker, Eva Amurri, Jason Kennedy, Jennifer Gimenez, Krysten Ritter, Patrick Sebes, Selita Ebanks, Spencer Grammer, Terrence Howard, and last but not least, Zachary Abel.

Naturally, the pre-released list of celebs attending the Tao party will likely serve as a mere starting point in terms of the who’s-who’s of the party. And, considering the plethora of stars in town this weekend, it’s not hard to imagine how much the guest list stands to grow by the end of the night.

 Meanwhile, at the MGM Grand tonight, AC/DC will entertain at the Grand Garden Arena.

 Another, though entirely different, Australian-born act will step into the spotlight tonight, too, however the second Down Under-born and bred show will go down at The Palms: Kylie Monogue will mark her return to North American soil and the North American stage tonight with a performance at the Pearl. 

A very different show will take place at Texas Station tonight, as all-American country superstar Randy Travis takes to the stage. 

Also, tonight, L.A. party boy Brent Bolthouse will bring the West coast party to Privé, where he will serve as guest DJ for the night. 

And as if the weekend’s worth of birthday bashes and anniversary soirées isn’t enough, there will be yet another blow-out on Sunday at The Bank.  Suffice to say those attending the tattoo show’s grand finale party on Sunday – yes, God doesn’t rest in Las Vegas – won’t be making it into the office first thing Monday morning: Dave Navarro is hosting the event, while DJ Skribble and DJ Slynkee will also contribute to the soundtrack.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo’s recent split was caused by their different opinions on marriage. A source close to the couple reveals Lachey, who was previously married to Jessica Simpson, wasn’t ready to tie the knot while Minnillo was pushing for a wedding.

“Vanessa wanted to get married, and Nick just wasn’t there yet. It all comes down to them wanting different things. Nick loved her, but he didn’t want to get married any time soon,” says the insider.

Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, began dating in 2006. They split in June but remain friends.

American television personality Vanessa Minnillo has revealed that her tummy makes her feel embarrassed.

Minnillo, 28, who is one of Hollywood’s hottest celebs, says that she has problems toning her tummy and having beautiful abs.

“I always have problems with my abs, especially when I see these women who have beautiful, sculpted abs,” Fox News quoted her as having said at last week’s launch party for Reebok’s new Easytone sneakers.

“My parents are like ‘you’re a woman, you’re supposed to have babies, you’re supposed to have a womb,’ but I cannot tone them for the life of me, so that’s my trouble spot,” she added.

Lose the zero and get with the hero Vanessa. Hey, you guys ever hear that line before? Ladies apparently love it! I learned that from my friend Gino over at Club Glo.

Vanessa Minnillo showed up at Reebok’s EasyTone party last night, single. She dropped hints when asked if they had any summer vacations planned.

“He’s actually going on a guys’ trip with his dad and his two brothers,” Vanessa told us. “They’re doing a safari, so I’m superjealous!”

Although she put on a happy face at the bash, she didn’t sound too thrilled about being single…

“I’m a boyfriend girl,” she continued. “If I have a chance, I’d rather go somewhere with him for the weekend. But I’m gonna change that!”

Vanessa hung with a girlfriend and seemed to be in good spirits.

As I sit here still in my pajamas from last night, I am infuriated to know that whoever made this dumbass ad has a job and I do not.

“Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame grilled with the NEW BK SUPER SEVEN INCHER. Yearn for more after you taste the mind-blowing burger that comes with a single beef patty, topped with American cheese, crispy onions and A1 Thick & Hearty Sauce.”

First of all, this is the most disgusting sandwich I’ve ever seen. Yak. Two, this girl looks scared for her life as this giant sandwich is bum rushing her head. Third, I sit around all day and make inappropriate sexual innuendo jokes and had I known that would give me a successful career in advertising I would have started writing some of that ish down. Sigh, I have missed my calling, yet again.

I do find it amusing that on my news feed this morning this was considered to be more newsworthy than Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo breaking up. That’s when you know your celebrity status has hit beyond Z list. A seven inch sandwich and a faux blow job ad are more newsworthy than your relationship. I hear HGTV is still hiring Nick, maybe Drew will let you guest stop on his home renovation show…
