Awhile back I asked for input from divorced dads willing to talk about sex and dating. I was curious, and wanted to see how their experience stacked up to the female side of the solar system. 

I make the distinction between divorced dads and single dads of other types because, let’s be honest, divorce is often a long and contentious process. Approaching a new relationship – sexual or otherwise – carries mixed emotions. After all, I’m a divorced woman who’s been through it – from separation to the first year or two in a new “status,” to re-entering those tumultuous dating waters. And having written about sex and the single mom, I wanted to hear from divorced dads.

The data

While I don’t claim to have representative data, I do have input from both sides of the Mississippi and – you guessed it – France.

And my, my, but you dads are discreet! I am impressed. It’s nice to see that most of you do not kiss-and-tell. But you did lend a bit of your experience to my informal queries, which may help some of our single moms know what’s up as we try to decipher your behaviors. So thanks to the dads who provided a few tales and tidbits, which was enough to share what follows.

Booze and booty

• No surprise here, but booty calls are alive and well, including among men in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. And yes,  alcohol is often involved.

• Internet booty calls are very popular as an initial method of meet-and-greet, leading to a cocktail or two, and you-know-what.

• When it comes to Internet dating – the visual still rules! That initial photo makes a big difference – for both sides of the gender divide.

• Men do lie about age, height and relationship status; some figure it’s irrelevant, particularly if booty is the objective. (Women do this, too, from the stories I’ve heard from men.)

• Men don’t care so much about a woman’s lies – if they’re just looking for a hook-up.

• If a man likes a woman, honesty is important, right from the start.

“No thanks” is rare, but not unheard of

• Divorced dads can score pretty easily, if they choose to. Not all do.

• Some men seek emotional attachment, or at least a “liking” for the lady before bedding her, and that may take more than a few dates.

• Sex on the first date often means no seconds – date, that is. And generally, it’s a relationship killer.

• Those initial impressions are indelible – resemblance to a photo (if Internet-introduced), scent, voice, smile.

• Getting back in the game isn’t a given; it takes time for re-entry, both to socialize comfortably, or to score.

Hot in bed, luke warm in life

• For many who are newly divorced, it’s all about the sex; for some, it’s an attempt to heal through relationship. (Guys, the same is true for the women I know.)

• Great sex doesn’t require emotional connection, and a great relationship doesn’t guarantee great sex. No scoop here! But we are reminded that sex and love are not one and the same.

• That aside, many intrepid divorced dads are looking for both!

Kids and privacy

• Separation of church and state seems to be the rule. Divorced dads don’t bring someone around to meet their kids unless there’s a relationship. It needn’t have run-off-to-Vegas in the future, but it’s more than a fling.

• Otherwise, sexual adventures are kept out of sight and out of earshot.

• Age of children and custodial arrangements are significant factors in sleepovers and meetings.

Hearts and parts

• For some, experimentation takes priority – sampling many flowers in a variety of gardens may be the norm, for some time after divorce.

• When a man really likes a woman, he takes his time. Or at least, more time, before making a move.

• Long-term divorced dads have left their share of broken hearts, and had theirs shredded a time or two.

• Repeaters abound (to my surprise) – those who continue to fall for women who are guaranteed to break their hearts. (This is not confined to men, or those who are divorced.)

• Preferred parts of the female form are, of course, a matter of personal preference. There are as many ass men as leg men as boob men and small-of-the-back men… well, you get the picture. And dating younger (women), or wanting to, is still verrrrry common.

• Single dads interested in a relationship, if they’re actively involved with their kids, want to date women who are moms; there’s common ground of the most fundamental sort.

• In the population I sampled – late 30s to mid 60s – when the heart is involved, the rest is secondary. Parts are parts, and hearts rule. Maybe we get better with age in more ways than one!

Yeah, I know is been a while since I have written, but, even with this down economy and slow year for the industry, I have managed to stay pretty busy as of late (thank god)…..!!

When I last wrote, I was about to leave town for a few days to do some Stage Management and Monitors for the Incredibly talented Vanessa Williams……Friday, September 25th we were at the Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, NV and the following night, Saturday, September 26th, we were at The Greek Theatre in Griffith Park in Los Angeles……both shows went down without a hitch even though we were pressed for time due to a late set up in Primm and it being festival day with Kenny G and others in Los Angeles. Vanessa’s band is nothing short of amazing and of course Vanessa’s voice speaks for itself…….Working with Vanessa and her band and crew is nothing short of the best……Oh and my hotel room in Burbank That Saturday night was the definition of “living large”…….it could have been an episode of “Cribs”……..

On Sunday, September 27th, I returned home from L.A. via Southwest Airlines, then slept for a few hours and then went to the Mandalay Bay Events Center Arena for show #82 and the Final show of the U.S. Leg of “The Circus featuring Britney Spears”…….After the show we loaded it out for 3 1/2 hours and put most of it in Conex Containers to be shipped to Australia for the start of the tour dates down under………during the encore of the show, one-third of the circular video wall took a dump (first picture below) and I have also included a picture of Britney Singing Live on stage that I took at Front of House (second picture below)…….if you are a bit confused about the second picture………well…….just think about it a bit……you will catch on…….Oh, and also….the Meyer Milo Rig sounded like ass………

Then after a few days off, on late Thursday night/Friday morning, October 2nd, I went down to the Hollywood Theatre at The MGM Grand here in Vegas at 1:30 AM to pick up all the Backline Gear from the week long run of Liza Minnelli for PRG (Production Resource Group). I arrived as I was told at 1:30 AM only to find out Liza was going long and it was only Intermission………Once Liza stopped playing just shy of 3AM, I packed up all the backline and loaded it out into the truck and went home…….slept for a few hours and then went to the airport and boarded a Continental Airlines flight to Houston, Texas……..

Once In Houston, I went directly to the LD Systems Shop and climbed aboard a truck and headed for Austin, Texas for the 3-day Austin City Limits Music Festival for some stage management and stage monitors with various acts on the various stages…….

Day one……did monitors twice on a side stage……….Day two, I was on the main stage and it rained hard all day……There is nothing quite as scary as the sight of a soaking wet B-52’s band (first two pictures below)…….But the large crowd hanged tight and turned all the grass in Zilker Park to a sea of mud (third picture below)……….

Then on the thrid day, I was on a side stage again doing monitors, which worked out well as my stage shut down early where I was able to hang at the Main stage for the closing of the festival with Pearl Jam (pics below)…..they put on a great show, and it reminded me of the days on the “Ten” and “VS” tours back in the 90’s……….Those were good days and times indeed………..Ben Harper and Perry Farrel both Joined Pearl Jam on stage and they really worked the crowd into a frenzy as the festival came to a close……….

Monday, October 5th, I found myself back in Houston, and had Lunch with Kevin Rebtoy (one of the guys that got me started in the industry back in Houston, along with Famed Owner and long time Texas Talent Buyer Don Gomez, from the legendary Houston, Texas Showcase Theatre, Rockefeller’s Nightclub (picture below)……

Don Gomez is one of my mentors, as during my days working at Rockefellers for many years, this man taught me most of everything I know about how the Music Industry Works and should work…….Many Thank’s Don……..It was Great to see you and find you doing well…….not much happens on a daily basis when working, when I do not think of you and all you taught me…….

Also Greg Pitzer joined us for the lunch….Greg was the Manager of Twenty Mondays (Spindletop Records), a great 90’s band out of Houston I used to mix FOH for back in those days (picture below from the 90’s)……We all ate good at the Famous Hickory Hollow BBQ place across the street from Rockefeller’s and reminisced about all the great times back in Houston…….Then later that night I went to the 20 year Twenty Mondays reunion show in North Houston and mixed the show……Originally they were called “Inside Out” when they formed in 1989 and that was the line up that performed at the reunion show……….these days they are all married with kids and different careers…….BUT…….after all these years gone by, the guys still played great and sounded great and put on a great show……..it was like they never stopped performing……amazing……

Then Tuesday, and Wednesday, October 6th and 7th, I spent the day at my Folks house in Coldspring, TX (population 364) and relaxing and eating good food before bording another flight home to Vegas the following day out of Houston……….and of course, while I was relaxing in Texas, the phone rang from PRG (Production Resource Group), and I was offered a 7 day gig for big money that I had to turn down because it started that night and I was of course still in Texas………SIGH………..and of course as I was trying to get back home to Vegas, there was a security breach at The Houston Airport, so my flight left an hour late after they shut down the airport gates for about an hour……..Ho hum……below are pictures of the Killer backyard at my folks place in Texas……….on a side note……..the very large, Texas Mosquito’s, ate me alive……..

Once home, in Vegas, I spet again for a day and the found myself at The Suncoast Showroom here in Vegas at The Suncoast Casino doing monitors on a Yamaha PM5D for Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th for the Oldies Group “The Four Preps” (see the link below)……….they were very nice and easy to work with and the shows went down well until the second night when their multi tracks on the Mac Computer with the bass and strings on it, crashes for the middle part of the show………they ad lib’ed and did some acapella number and got through it……….

THE FOUR PREPS

So far this week (Wednesday and Thursday, October 14th and 15th) I did the load in and set up at The Mandalay Bay Events Center Arena for Justin Timberlake & Friends (50 Cent, Alicia Keys, TLC, and others)……..Justin is putting the show on as a benefit for the Shriner’s Childern’s Hospitals (pictures below)……..Clair Brothers, in addition to their line array that got flown for this gig, also draged out some old Clair Brothers S4 Cabinets for this one……its been nearly 20 years since I have seen (or used) those cabinets……..man on man those cabinets weigh………

And with all that………I think gets us all current……….This weekend I am in Vegas doing more monitors on a PM5D for some local Vegas no name shlock act………sigh…….BUT, next week…….U2………..The rig is completely massive and the load in and set up starts tomorrow at Sam Boyd Stadium here in Vegas and will continue for 5 days until the show next Friday the 23rd of October and then the load out will take 3 days I understand………should be some work indeed…….

“Look, I’m 46 years old, but I’m still in the game. I work hard at it. I need to look good. But I asked a lot of questions first about Botox. I told the dermatologist that I don’t want to be frozen. As an actress I need to have expression in my face. But it doesn’t hurt.”

It’s Official: Zeta-Jones is Broadway Bound
When last we wrote here, we reported unconfirmed rumors that Catherine Zeta-Jones would be joining Angela Lansbury on Broadway in the revival of Steven Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. That news is official now, with previews for the production set for November 24th at the Walter Kerr Theatre. This will mark Zeta-Jones’ Broadway debut in this revival of the popular 1973 musical. In it’s original incarnation at the Shubert, A Little Night Music won 6 Tony awards, among them Best Musical and Best Original Score. Look for opening night on December 13th at the Kerr.

Vanessa Williams Returns to Broadway
Veteran TV and movie actress and Grammy award winning vocalist Vanessa Williams is coming to Broadway this Spring to star along with Barbara Cook, Michael Arden and Leslie Kritzer in Sondheim on Sondheim. The show takes a look at living legend Steven Sondheim through his music and through film and videotape interviews with the famed composer. This marks a return to Broadway for Williams, who originally hit The Great White Way back in 1994 when she appeared in Kiss of the Spider Woman. She was also nominated for a Tony award in 2002 for her performance in Sondheim’s Into the Woods. Previews for this limited engagement at Studio 54 are set to begin on March 12, 2010, with opening night planned for April 22nd.

The 39 Steps Closing
After nearly two years on Broadway, producers of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps have announced that the show will close on January 10, 2010. The production originally opened in January of 2008 at the American Airlines Theatre. But during it’s two year run, it actually moved twice – once to the Cort Theatre in April of 2008, then to the Helen Hayes Theatre in January of this year. That is where it will play it’s final performance. And while the show had a relatively low profile compared to some others, when it closes it will have played 771 performances. And that makes it the longest running play on Broadway in the last 7 years.

(CNN) — A new policy at Tufts University prohibits students in dorms from having sex while their roommate is in the room, according to the university’s 2009-2010 student handbook.

A school spokeswoman says students have expressed concerns over roommate having sex in the dorms.

The Massachusetts university’s formal rule also bars so-called “sexiling” — exiling a roommate from the room so the other roommate can engage in sexual activity.

The new policy “is really about consideration and respect for others and the need for students to be mindful of their roommates’ need for privacy, study and sleep,” university spokeswoman Kim Thurler told CNN.

She said while she did not have an exact number of complaints from students about their roommates’ behavior, “over the last few years, the Office of Residential Life and Learning received approximately a dozen expressions of concern about this issue.”

Callie Morton, a freshman at Tufts, told CNN affiliate WHDH-TV, “If someone is going to go and have sex while their roommate is in the room, I mean I think that’s kind of gross. I think it’s kind of funny that they would have to make a rule about it.” Watch Tufts students talk about policy »

The new guidelines for students hosting overnight guests say, “You may not engage in sexual activity while your roommate is present in the room. And sexual activity within your assigned room should not ever deprive your roommate(s) of privacy, study, or sleep time.”

Other students agree that the new rule is going to be difficult to implement.

“I don’t think it’s something that can really be enforced per se,” an unidentified Tufts University student told WHDH. “I don’t understand how that’s going to work.”

Thurler explained that if a problem is identified and brought to the attention of residence officials, the university will help the affected student have a conversation with his/her roommate to address the situation.

“In some cases, we might intervene on behalf of the student,” Thurler said, “and speak with their roommate directly and explain what is expected of them while they live in the residence halls.”

Thurler wouldn’t comment on possible disciplinary action by the university if a student breaks the rules.

Reading this, (Thanks B for the heads up) made me think of another funny time of when I was in college.

One of our non-posting crew members tells a hilarious story about being in the dorms and it totally applies here.  He was working at the Berkeley Debate Camp and living with a friend, who we will call “Tom” to protect the innocent.   Tom was fortunate in that he had his girlfriend there that summer working.   One night, they thought NCP was alseep and they starting going at it.  NCP rolled over, and acted like he was alseep once he heard, in hopes it would just end quickly.

Sometime during the act, Tom’s girlfriend asked Tom, “Do you think that I am smart?”  This is not a question that I would ask during the act, but who knows what was racing through her mind.  NCP tells this part with a little chuckle, and finishes with the punchline “Yes…. NOW TURN OVER!” and he went back to work.

He could have really believed in her intelligence. But, in that order, I think that he was concerned with something else.

Sondheim on Sondheim, a new Broadway musical starring Barbara Cook (The Music Man, Candide, Follies), Vanessa Williams (Into the Woods, Kiss of the Spider Woman), Michael Arden (A Tale of Two Cities, Big River) and Leslie Kritzer (A Catered Affair, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Big River), will on at Studio 54 on April 22, 2010.

The production is directed and conceived by James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Into the Woods, Falsettos) with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim (Company, Follies, Assassins, Pacific Overtures, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods) and produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company, the folks mounting Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway.

Vanessa Williams was in New York on the streets of Manhattan filming scenes for Ugly Betty.  Vanessa is one of them dimes that just won’t fade.  We forgot to add, that Rick Fox is an idiot.  Ok now we’re done….

Whilst Vanessa Williams was busy getting her acting on for hit show Ugly Betty, her ex-hubby, Rick Fox, was snapped smooching with his new piece Eliza Dushku…

This morning while listening to a morning local talk show the topic centered around Senator Roy Blunt calling Obama an monkey. 

Roy Blunt, in an address before a group  called…Valued Voter’s Summit, began his address by saying-

“…that  clearly this is a time when our values are being challenged.”

Just what did he mean by that…I wonder?

That America is no longer an oasis of white supremacy any more… or something…any more since voting a black President?

Was that what he was eluding to?

I thought one used to say that about Europe.  Or so many thought…I suppose.

Blunt then went on to talk about a golf course that had been built within  the jungle of India.  Saying that something happened that they did not anticipate after their golf course was built.  And that is that when golf balls were hit the monkeys would come running out of the jungle onto the golf course and grab up the balls.

At the end of Blunt’s message he stated that the officials of the golf course put forth a ruling saying-

“You have to play the ball wherever the monkey throws it.” 

Where he then stated-

“And that is pretty much what we have to do in Washington.”

Blunt then went on to say that-

“You know the world is turned up-side down when Al Franken and Tom Delay is on dancing with the stars.  That’s how you know that the world has changed  in ways that you would have never have anticipated.”

Blunt fell just short of saying-

“And a black man is in the White House as President.” 

Then…  

“That’s how you know that the world has changed  in ways that you would have never have anticipated.”

In listening to the talk show, which I of course had to call in to…to offer my own opionion on the subject as the issue centered around whether or not Blunt’s comments had been racist?

Any thinking person would have to say, “Yes.”

But the problem as I pointed out to the host of the program was this…

Many white people say and do things which they simply do not consider to be racist, but they are.  Or least ways…they ‘claim’ that they do not take what they said was racist.  Though secretly they knew that it was…but they state otherwise.

Then the other side of the coin is this…

When you as a black person…or non-whitle points that whatever was said or done was racist…  then the whole thing gets turned around.   And you become the racist for having said that they were being racist.

But even if a person said something offensive to another…does not mean that it was any less offensive simply because someone says-

“Oh, I didn’t know.”

Which is really not the case…many of the times.  Most people know exactly what they are saying.  And say it for the purpose of  twisting a knief in you…if their words are cutting or hurtful in nature.

It is kind like playing that ‘liberal card,’ which the Republicans have become not only famous for doing so, but quite well versed at doing also.  Whenever someone who the Republicans do not like says or does something positive for the p0or or under-served people of this country…the Republicans quickly flash the ‘liberal card’ upon them. 

They were quite effective at doing it during the Bush/Kerry run to the White House.   Every time Kerry opened his mouth to say something, the Republicans rebuked him by calling him ‘liberal’…which became a dreaded word…and particiularly it seemed for John Kerry.   He would start stuttering and get lost…loosing himself in what to say next.  Which is why it worked so very well against him.  He always backed up from it.

That was the one thing about Ted Kennedy, being called a ‘liberal’ was something which did not bother him…nor did he let it stop him from speaking up.  Because in the end…that is all it came down to.  The Republicans using the word ‘liberal’ to scare off Democratic too weak to stand up.

And that is the good thing about Barack Obama too.  He is not afraid to be called ‘liberal.’   Which is the tag that Republicans give to anyone who tries to do anything to aid, help or otherwise assist what the Republicans deem as the ‘under class.’

The problem that I see coming for the 21st Century America will not be one of class but one of race.  The issue of race has always been and continues to be an issue which most Americans do not seriously want to address.  But it is an issue which has fluctuated through the years in terms of its intensity…overtly and conversely.

It is an issue which has longed been put on the back burner as America has always tried to hide the fact that she has such a problem…as a race problem.   But it got its start drenched in the blood and heartache of slavery, from the point when the first Dutch slave ships hit this country in 1619…then peaked during the 1960’s during the Civil Rights movement after years of being surpressed.   And now againt it  is rearing its ugly head…ever since the day that America elected her first non-white male to sit in the Oval Office on Capitol Hill, in Washington, D.C., as President of the United States.

The issue of black vs white in this has had it lows and highs in this country.  For periods this issue has seem dormant.  But not so at all…not in reality.  It is just that during those times there were rushes to calm things down, cover them up, keep them out the eye of the public, or quietly try to erase the events as being racially motivated at all.  But they were.

Case in point…it took place in an area of Texas…in Jasper, TX, 1998:   2 white young males took a black man, James Byrd III,  who was walking a country road on his way back home from wedding, they beat him then chained to the back of their pick-up truck and dragged him to his death tearing apart  his body…and this was just a few years ago. 

It would have been something you might have expected to hear about happening in some other country but never in America.  But no…   

It happened here… in America.

And we all sat beside the television trying to get every bit of information on the story…while trying to figure out-

“What could have caused or motivated such a thing to happen?”

Racism did.

Hatred did.

And though that small Texas town that had a history of racial incidents…many sited as ‘isolated incidents’…something that had never happened before.  But the truth of the matter is…is that America these ‘isolated little incidents’ for years…and not only the south.

These so-called ‘isolated incidents’ have continued throughout the history of  America, such evil that many of them are hard to imagine.  Events whose roots got started back during the slavery of black folks in this country…or perhaps even as early as the early settlers and Native Indian relationships. But slavery was a time when black people in this country were considered to be cattle…when white slave owners routinely killed and made examples of them…by chopping off a hand or foot…or beating slavagely for the benefit of the other slaves who might try to run away or whateverl else have you.

Not to mention that following slavery in this country, black men and a few women were often found hanging from trees in the south after having first been beaten by mobs of white men, who then tarred and feathered black folks, and then set them on fire and hung them.  Whom they left hanging…also as examples to other blacks that lived in their communities as to what they could do to them also.   And this they did at will…and  without fear of retribution.

So, yes the treatment of President Obama, the first black man, out 43 white men prior to him…and never having suffer the blatent and tireless attacks and disrespect shown to the first African American President of this country.    Yes, treatment of him is a concern to most black folks.  And yes…it certainly brings back a lot of old past memories of  the ill and segregrated…Jim Crow treatment that black people lived under…and the lack of full acceptance or respect of  Black people throughout the history of America.

Just the other day, I happened to called a older senior woman who I occasional call once in a while just to see how she is doing.  Before our conversation even got going the woman said to me-

“And you see how they are treating Obama?”

I never even knew the woman payed attention to politics.  But I could hear the rage in her voice as she asked me question. 

I knew quite well what she was talking about.   She was highly enraged over it…and insulted that anyone had dared to call him a liar…being the President of the United States.    And she clearly understand…90 something woman that she was in age…that the only reason that anyone had dared to do that was because he was a black man…as she well pointed that out me in her anger.   And she didn’t like it…and I have to say neither did I…nor any of the other black folk that know either.

We don’t like it.

If you have lived through certain things…you never forget them.  Just as the Holocust victims will never ever forget the Holocaust.   Because they survived it…but that time…what they saw…felt…and the loses that they incurred left indeliable images and memories in their minds and hearts.  So, too…our history in this country….which is as much ours as anyone else’s.  Particularly since we played a major role in building this country…and most of the inventions that have come out of it.

An attack on Obama is an attack against us.  And that is how we view it.

It is like how we viewed what the officials of the Miss America contest did some years ago to Vannessa Williams, in 1984.  When she became the first black woman ever be chosen in the history of Miss American to become Miss America.   Then some days later…maybe 2…there was a big scadal in which the Miss America people took the crown from Vanessa.  And black folks just were not having that.  There was outrage all across the black communities everywhere in America.  I personally have never ever really watched that show since.  It climaxed and ended for me with Vanessa Williams.

The scadal came about over some pictures, and black people decared that the Miss America had taken Vanessa’s crown based solely upon racism, as they had never at that point taken a crown from any other woman whom they had crown.  Not only did black folk get enraged over the matter…they also went out and bought up every magazine that had those crazy pictures in them off every bookstore shelf.  Because that is what black people do.  Whenever someone gives us reason to be proud…and others try to destroy that pride…we back our people.

It is not something that we do often…but when we do…we do.  And we all felt about Vanessa as well feel about Barack Obama and his family.

Today, Vanessa Williams has gone on to become the most famous and most beautiful…as well as, most recognized winner that the Miss America contest ever had…for which they can take no credit unfortunately for them.   Vanessa managed to raise above that event…like Obama, I have no doubt, will continue to raise against the name-calling, veiled threats and statements, ladent bigotry and racist  jokes etc… of all those who seek to characterize him as a monkey, critize his judgement, education and birth-right to be President of this country.   

Love the show Vanessa.  You have got that diva stuff down pact.  You can catch her on “Ugly Betty” weeknights…if you don’t know.   And my…can she work a red carpet. 

Going back to that radio talk show and Blunt’s remarks…the issue is…is that everything someone white begins to talk about monkeys…fried chicken…or watermelon…they are usually referring to African Americans.  And whenever they begin to talk about black people tossing in something about monkeys…or fried chicken…or watermelons…it is their intent to insult black folks.  Though most of the time they will deny it.  But the use of referring to black people as monkeys…or as chicken eating…or watermelon eating whatevers comes through history as things white people have used…besides…the “N” word…to degrade and demean them.

So, yes…Blunt’s remarks about monkeys then referring back to Washington clearly was an intent  on his part to directly call Barack Obama a monkey.  Therefore, yes…his remarks were quite racist.  And judging by the amount of applause and laughter in the room they all got the joke and were in agreement with him.  Which clearly shows that racism is very much alive and well in America…and that it is okay to continue to insult and defame black folks no matter who they are or whatever their accomplishments.

So, America is very much in trouble.  And folks like the ex-President Jimmy Carter clearly see this.

As Carter points out above, the attacks upon President Obama are rooted in racism.  It is a clear signals that this country is in deep trouble.   And this thing can become exceedingly dangerous.   A time boom…in fact.

Therein lays the problem.  They can’t see it.  Though they continue in their racist ways…acting out at will…and refuse to call their actions what they truly are.  But are quick to call you racist for pointing it out to them.  Then go into the back rooms slapping each other on the back and laughing over it.  It is what racist do. 

It is kind of a game to them.  The kind of game that they play in law…since most politicans were lawyers before entering into politics.   And that game goes like this…you make the guilty party seem like the injured party. 

Thus, you flip the script.  And that is what the racists politicans in this country are doing…they  flip the script on whoever turns around to call their statements or remarks racist.  Saying that “they”…the people…or whoever… calling them out for their remarks… that “they” are the racist ones.

Or they say it was a ‘miss statement’…not intended the way it sounded.

It is all a game.  But a highly dangerous game.

This country is just a stone’s throw from another outbreak of race riots.  There have been many events that have already started to ignite the same kind of fire that took place in the 1960’s which brought about several riots and burnings of many large cities around America. 

One major event has taken place was Katrina, and the way the government under Bush and Fema failed to act in any way for several days to save the lives and property of the people of New Orleans.  Then the treated of the mostly black victims of Hurricane Katrin has left a bad taste in many black people mouths.   Where many people died un-necessarily.  And those who managed to survive the hurrican lost their homes and everything that they owned otherwise…many children torn from their parents…and so many people were displaced and still are today.

Another major event in this country to have taken place which has also impacted a lot of  black people and other group of poor people in this country, as well…and this is the economy, foreclosures…and a sense of helplessness and for many hopelessness they are feeling.   Upon which…when Obama was voted in as President of this country…presented a ray of hope for them all that they all were in dire need of…both black and white over their current set circumstances which had been brought the Republicans under the poor economics of George Bush.  And compounded by the Iraqi War.

But the continued belittling and underminding of President Obama may very well give license to someone to attempt to take Obama’s life…and there have been calls for it. 

But if that were to happen…those politicians laughing and joking now…slapping each other on the back now and thinking that they are smart…would soon find themselves in something that they had not considered.  And it would and will be bigger than anything that happened when Martin L. King, Jr. was killed.

The times have changed drastically.  And they are far more deadly.

Fire hose and police dogs won’t be able to contain what will be unleased if race war were to start in this country.  And clearly these ignorant Republican politicians have no idea the type of fire that they are playing with.

It is definitely not a joke.  And those stupid politicians who think this thing is a joke really shouldconsider their actions…because this country has years of pent up hatred just waiting to spill over.

And they are pushing the envelop…and messing with flood gates.

Oh…and by the way before it gets mis-understood I do not think the above video is funny.  But it goes to prove that the people in this country do not respect our President the rest of the world won’t either.  Which would really be rather hard to do…since Obama is controll of what other countries want.  But many want other countries to not respect Obama…it all part of their game of trying to under-mind him.
