So… I will not paste all of the verses dealing with Joseph forgiving his brothers, but you can look them up yourself! You can find it in Genesis 42-43!

This is pretty self explanatory, but Joseph understood completely the art of forgiving! Think of your worst enemy… the person who it is hardest for you to forgive. What have they done to you that made it so hard? I have a feeling that it is nothing near as bad as what Joseph’s brothers did to him… Yet he still chose to forgive them! Did he have to? No! Even though it was the nice thing to do there was nothing at all making or forcing him to forgive them and have pity on them! Jesus did the same thing for you and I. You know… Sometimes i get this bright idea that it wasn’t near as hard to forgive me as it would be to forgive those who actually nailed Him to the cross, but I could not be any more wrong!! It was MY sin who took him there…. If He could forgive me then how much more can I forgive those who hurt me?

I talked about Hattrick here before. It is a game and like any other game, it has users. And one of these users died today. I do not read the news on the homepage on a regular basis, but the “RIP” part caught my attention.
I do not like the subject “death” and I try to avoid it as much as I can. But when it comes to hear about young people die it’s not that simple to avoid it. I read the lines and followed the link to the the team’s page. It said that the respective team does not have a human manager. This team currently holds the last position of the most important Romanian series.
I entered the forum and found messages from this user announcing his retirement from Hattrick. It was in September. He was saying that he has to be admitted to the hospital for undetermined time.
Almost two months after the user and the person behind do not exist anymore.
He was saying that there are things way too important in life than the game. The others seemed not to understand the meaning of what he was saying. I don’t think they could at that time. They didn’t know what he knew.

Life could be incredible fragile and it scares the hell out of me. One moment you are here and you are breathing, reading, writing… The next, everything could vanish…

I have developed all films from this summer’s trips to the US and India. Now it is time to go through all of them and make selections for different ideas. This pic is a bit touristy, but it gives me a smile on this rainy and cold monday evening.

Am home now, but I just wanted to report on the final day of my Amsterdam visit, formally not part of the Forum which is only three days. Amongst a few other things, I was able to meet with two producers for new projects. I want to set up a new documentary (for when this one is finished) with a Dutch producer instead of with my own company, for several reasons, not in the least the wide variety of financing possibilities in my homecountry as well as its strong documentary culture.

But that’s for a whole other blog.

Ah yes, I also met with the director of this NGO (web in Dutch only) who are building hurricane proof school on the East coast of Nicaragua. I have been advising them on audio-visual needs for their pilot project. Dutch people: check them out and give freely!

Since I was a little princess I’ve loved reading, writing and watching films. I live in Argentina so English is not my mother tongue but I’ve been studying it for ages. I may not be quite accurate when writing or expressing myself but I can promise to do my best. I’ve always wanted to write in English so this is my first attempt!, be patient je!.

This site is just a bunch of ideas about life, family, culture and specially art. I love watching good films and literature so you may find contents related to this most of the time.

After two whole years, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile, ²and behold, there came up out of the Nile seven cows attractive and plump, and they fed in the reed grass. ³And behold, seven other cows, ugly and thin, came up out of the Nile after them, and stood by the other cows on the bank of the Nile. ⁴And the ugly, thin cows ate up the seven attractive, plump cows. And Pharaoh awoke. ⁵And he fell asleep and dreamed a second time. And behold, seven ears of grain, plump and good, were growing on one stalk. ⁶And behold, after them sprouted seven ears, thin and^(A) blighted by the east wind. ⁷And the thin ears swallowed up the seven plump, full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream. ⁸So in the morning^(B) his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the^(C) magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was none who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

⁹Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “I remember my offenses today. ¹⁰When Pharaoh was^(D) angry with his servants^(E) and put me and the chief baker in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, ^11(F) we dreamed on the same night, he and I, each having a dream with its own interpretation. ¹²A young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. When we told him,^(G) he interpreted our dreams to us, giving an interpretation to each man according to his dream. ¹³And^(H) as he interpreted to us, so it came about. I was restored to my office, and the baker was hanged.”

^14(I) Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they^(J) quickly brought him^(K) out of the pit. And when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes, he came in before Pharaoh. ¹⁵And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.^(L) I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” ¹⁶Joseph answered Pharaoh,^(M) “It is not in me;^(N) God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”^{[a] 17}Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Behold,^(O) in my dream I was standing on the banks of the Nile. ¹⁸Seven cows, plump and attractive, came up out of the Nile and fed in the reed grass. ¹⁹Seven other cows came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I had never seen in all the land of Egypt. ²⁰And the thin, ugly cows ate up the first seven plump cows, ²¹but when they had eaten them no one would have known that they had eaten them, for they were still as ugly as at the beginning. Then I awoke. ²²I also saw in my dream seven ears growing on one stalk, full and good. ²³Seven ears, withered, thin, and blighted by the east wind, sprouted after them, ²⁴and the thin ears swallowed up the seven good ears. And^(P) I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”

²⁵Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one;^(Q) God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. ²⁶The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good ears are seven years; the dreams are one. ²⁷The seven lean and ugly cows that came up after them are seven years, and the seven empty ears blighted by the east wind are also^(R) seven years of famine. ²⁸It is as I told Pharaoh;^(S) God has shown to Pharaoh what he is about to do. ²⁹There will come^(T) seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt, ³⁰but after them there will arise^(U) seven years of famine, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt.^(V) The famine will consume the land, ³¹and the plenty will be unknown in the land by reason of the famine that will follow, for it will be very severe. ³²And the doubling of Pharaoh’s dream means that the^(W) thing is fixed by God, and God will shortly bring it about. ³³Now therefore let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt. ³⁴Let Pharaoh proceed to appoint overseers over the land and take one-fifth of the produce of the land^[b] of Egypt during the seven plentiful years. ³⁵And^(X) let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it. ³⁶That food shall be a reserve for the land against the seven years of famine that are to occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land may not perish through the famine.”

Joseph Rises to Power

³⁷This proposal pleased Pharaoh and all his servants. ³⁸And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this,^(Y) in whom is the Spirit of God?”^{[c] 39}Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has shown you all this, there is none so discerning and wise as you are. ^40(Z) You shall be over my house, and all my people shall order themselves as you command.^[d] Only as regards the throne will I be greater than you.” ⁴¹And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See,^(AA) I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” ⁴²Then Pharaoh^(AB) took his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand, and^(AC) clothed him in garments of fine linen^(AD) and put a gold chain about his neck. ⁴³And he made him ride in his second chariot.^(AE) And they called out before him, “Bow the knee!”^[e] Thus he set him^(AF) over all the land of Egypt. ⁴⁴Moreover, Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and^(AG) without your consent no one shall lift up hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.” ⁴⁵And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphenath-paneah. And he gave him in marriage Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On. So Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.

⁴⁶Joseph was thirty years old when he^(AH) entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt. ⁴⁷During the seven plentiful years the earth produced abundantly, ⁴⁸and he gathered up all the food of these seven years, which occurred in the land of Egypt, and put the food in the cities. He put in every city the food from the fields around it. ⁴⁹And Joseph stored up grain in great abundance,^(AI) like the sand of the sea, until he ceased to measure it, for it could not be measured.

⁵⁰Before the year of famine came,^(AJ) two sons were born to Joseph. Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore them to him. ⁵¹Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh. “For,” he said, “God has made me forget all my hardship and all my father’s house.”^{[f] 52}The name of the second he called Ephraim, “For God has^(AK) made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”^[g]

⁵³The seven years of plenty that occurred in the land of Egypt came to an end, ⁵⁴and^(AL) the seven years of famine began to come,^(AM) as Joseph had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. ⁵⁵When all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread. Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph. What he says to you, do.”

⁵⁶So when the famine had spread over all the land, Joseph opened all the storehouses^[h] and^(AN) sold to the Egyptians, for the famine was severe in the land of Egypt. ⁵⁷Moreover, all the earth came to Egypt to Joseph to buy grain, because the famine was severe^(AO) over all the earth.

So, we talked about last time how the woman tried to talk him into doing things he shouldn’t do, but instead he ran, remember? I’m sure you do! Well, you would think after he did the right thing and he was such a man of honor and all that he would get in good with the king, right? Wrong. Joseph was put into prison. While in prison he explained some dreams for two people. When those two people got out of jail do you think they remembered him? Not right away… Once the cup bearer had been out of jail for a while when the King had a dream and he all of the sudden remembered Joseph! Now think about this… Joseph had been in jail for a while and had no clue that the Cup bearer had finally remembered him. All of the sudden he was summoned and within a few moments he was in front of the King. To be able to interpret the King’s dreams he had to be in a close relationship with God. My point in all this is… Each day we have opportunities to give an account. Whether it is a friend who needs help with something, sharing our faith, just knowing when to give an encouraging word, etc. You have to be ready! Joseph was… He had a close relationship with God and was ready to give an account. How is your walk with the Lord? Would you be ready if you only had a few seconds to go before the King? The truth is… you have chances to share your faith and give an account every day. It’s your choice as to how prepared you are! This is my challenge to you… get into God’s word and if you are already into God’s word then take it to the next level! Whatever that may be for you… whether it is a specific sin or whatever. Only you and God know that! So… go! Get into God’s word today!

Ok, so I’m hijacking the blog for a minute to deal with some maintenance type stuff.
