If you want to live a healthier, long life, you need to incorporate proper nutrition. Not only does

If you want to live a healthier, long life, you need to incorporate proper nutrition. Not only does a healthy diet keep your muscles and bones strong for ultimate physical fitness, it also keep your skin, hair and nails in good condition so you can look your best. Try out these nutrition tips to improve your overall health. Avoid High Medical Bills By Investing In Good Nutrition
Tips That Can Help You Improve Your Nutrition
Try packing your own lunch for work or school. If you bring your own food, you will not subject yourself to the unhealthy choices outside. Preparing a healthy meal will not take more than ten minutes.

To build the perfect plate of food, try to visualize it divided into sections. This way, you’ll keep a better eye on the amount of food you are putting on the plate. Divide half of the plate into a vegetable section, a fourth into lean meats or other proteins, and the other fourth into a starch section. You can more easily reach your dietary and nutrition goals by using this formula to balance your foods.

Just because you’re eating a healthy item doesn’t mean you can go overboard on portion size. Watching portion sizes is important to losing weight. Eating too much of any food will add more calories to your diet.

Try to stay away from grains for a little while. Throughout history, humans have eaten fruits, veggies, meats, beans, and nuts. Grains were produced only a short time ago. You may feel better not eating grains at all.

One easy way to avoid calories and fat is to start drinking low-fat or fat-free milk instead of whole milk. All milk contains the same nutrient levels, so unless you want to gain weight, it is not necessary to consume whole milk.

Add some nutrients to fresh baked bread by using half whole wheat flour and half white. This will boost the nutritional value of your bread without giving up the light texture. Other smart nutritional baking substitutions include cutting the sugar content by half and trying applesauce instead of traditional shortening.

While it may sound awkward, adding a little seaweed to a meal is very healthy. Seaweeds are very high in vitamins and minerals, adding to the health of your diet. Many cultures have regarded these plants as food for centuries.

Excellent minerals that provide your skin with the proper nutrients include zinc, selenium, and L-Carnitine. L-Carnitine must be taken in capsules or pills. Zinc is something that you can find in many nuts and whole grains, as well as mushrooms and eggs. Many vegetables contain selenium because of the soil where they are grown. Foods grown hydroponically will have a lower selenium content. When you eat a natural diet full of natural foods, and use L-Carnitine as a supplement, you can reach a healthy balance.

Buy different milk. Get rid of the calories and fat, while keeping the vitamins and minerals, by trading 2% or whole milks in for 1% or skim milks. By switching to milk that contains less fat, you will feel better and look better while maintaining your intake of essential nutrients.

This will show up in your urine when it is a dark yellow and has a strong stench to it. You will know if enough water is in your system by the color of your urine.

If the time has come for you to take the bull by the horns and seek better nutrition, put the information above to good use. Before you know it, your good nutrition choices will have become a habit and your body will thank you for it.

Have you been yearning for a healthier lifestyle? You don’t have to look much further. You need to choose a diet that you can stick with for a lifetime. Fad diets are counterproductive to health and weight loss. These nutrition tips are a great way to improve your diet, as well as your overall quality of life.

There is good reason your mother always told you to eat your broccoli. The amount of Vitamin K in broccoli is substantial. It also has Vitamin C levels that are around two days’ allotment. You can help your bones get strong and maybe cut down your chances of particular cancers. To maximize the nutritional value, prepare broccoli in the steamer rather than boiling or microwaving.

Keep an eye on your daily food consumption. Overeating can create a surplus of nutrients in your body, which can make you feel uncomfortable and gain unnecessary fat. This is damaging to your health because it reduces your internal functional processing.

Make sure your diet consists of eating foods that are baked instead of fried. Baked goods have fewer calories, less oil and are lighter in carbohydrates than fried goods. Additionally, you’ll feel much more energetic all day if you’re eating good quality baked foods daily.

Don’t just assume that you are eating healthfully. At first glance seven grain bread may seem to be healthy but the label will reveal there actually are no whole grains in it. Be sure to look at the food label to see what’s really in it. The packaging is never an indication.

Allow your kids to help you choose healthy foods while grocery shopping. They are more likely to consume foods that they have chosen for themselves. Kids may even be attracted to colorful new produce they’ve never tried before.

bible diet plan If you have a history of sleep problems, you might be able to improve your sleep by eating healthier. Some foods chill you out, but others perk you up. Eat your dinner a few hours before you go to sleep.

Parents need to be responsible for how their child’s school lunch is packed. There’s no better way to ensure that children eat healthy food for their midday meal. Putting together the contents of the lunch yourself ensures that you are the one making the good choices that benefit your child. You lose that control when you child is buying their lunch at the school.

Don’t make all the changes toward a healthy diet at once. You have to list everything you’re wanting to change later and go over this list and mark things off one by one. It is best to first remove the foods that do the most damage to your body and then work down from there; that way you will doing the most good for your body right away.

You should not be eating white foods, except for cauliflower. This will help you stay healthy. It will cut down on the sugars and starches in your overall diet. You are sure to feel healthier, and will also get rid of lots of excess calories.

Sodas are a beverage that should be avoided, since there is no nutritional value in them. Regular sodas contain excessive amounts of sugar and high-fructose-corn-syrup, and diet sodas contain dangerous artificial sweeteners. Both contain high amounts of chemicals and artificial colors and flavors. Besides sugar, the citric acid in soda pop is something to avoid. This acid can breakdown your teeth. The sugary high-fructose corn syrup can also promote bacterial growth and tartar accumulation on your teeth, which releases acidic by-products and compounds the damage of citric acid.

As you can see, eating a balanced, nutritious diet is easy and fun. There is a lot of room for creativity in the world of food, so it is a wonderful way to enhance your quality of life without limiting yourself. These tips are only the beginning to a new, healthier you!

When it comes to getting the very best nutritional value for your body, you need to be well informed

When it comes to getting the very best nutritional value for your body, you need to be well informed about what you actually need to consume. Learning how to effectively incorporate nutrition into your life should be your primary concern. Follow the ideas within this article to make your diet better.

Good Nutrition: Making Your Diet Work For You Try eating canned salmon. It has loads of minerals that your body needs, without a ton of fat or carbs. Change things up every now and then. It is important that you don’t get bored with your diet.

Except for cauliflower, you should strive to cut out white foods from your nutrition plan. This will help you stay healthy. It will eradicate sugars and starch from your daily diet. You are going to feel better than ever and be without as many calories as before.

Use a blender or juicer to make fresh fruit smoothies at home. This way, you can cut ice cream out completely, but use fruit smoothies as a delicious substitute. Try whipping up a quick and delicious fruit smoothie with fresh fruit, yogurt and low-fat milk as an alternative to diet-breaking ice cream.

When trying to teach children about good nutrition, do not make a big deal out of dessert. Try to only serve dessert a few times per week.

Juicing is a great strategy for obtaining all the essential nutrients from fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. Vegetables can add a great bite to a tasty fruit juice blend. A way to add zip to your carrot/apple juice is by adding some ginger. You can even had a half a jalapeno for a good spicy kick!

If you are suffering from diabetes, you need to consult your doctor before drinking alcohol. You need to be cautious bout your alcohol consumption if you are diabetic because alcohol can cause your blood sugar level to drop.

Never assume that popping lots of vitamin pills makes your diet healthy. Supplements should serve as complements to a solid diet. A multivitamin in the morning is the best way to get the vitamins that you require.

Simple Ways You Can Achieve Better Nutrition Good vitamins for the skin that many people don’t know about are zinc, selenium and L-Carnitine. The supplement L-carnitine can be taken either in capsule or pill form. Zinc is in eggs, whole grains, mushrooms and a lot of nuts. Most veggies grown in the ground have selenium in them. Those raised hydroponically may not. If you really try to eat a lot of different foods, and take an L-Carnitine supplement, you will be helping yourself stay healthy.

Avoid eating cereals that are high in sugar for breakfast. Their high sugar content, preservatives and artificial flavoring make them very unhealthy. Oatmeal is full of great nutrients that are essential to a good diet and will help you stay full longer.

Great Tips For Eating Well And Staying Healthy Healthy sources of fat are essential to a good diet. ‘Healthy fats’ exclude trans fats, which are found in fried foods like chicken, fries and onion rings. Get rid of fast food for good. Olive oil, nuts, seeds and oily fish contain the healthy fats we need to stay healthy.

Being informed is always the best way to make the right decisions. After reading this advice, you owe it to yourself to follow it. You are in charge of yourself. It is up to you to become healthier.

What happens in your body is directly related to the foods you put into your body. Knowing the prope

What happens in your body is directly related to the foods you put into your body. Knowing the proper foods to eat will help you live a healthier life. These tips can offer help in creating a healthier diet and lifestyle. In order to live a great, fulfilling life, good nutrition is essential.

Oatmeal will provide you with the energy you need to make it through the day. Oatmeal is very filling and can prevent you from having the urge to snack during the morning.

vegan diet plan Processed foods can contain high percentages of trans fat and should be avoided. Foods high in trans fat can have a hand in a person getting heart disease. Eating trans fat lowers your HDL (good cholesterol) levels, while raising your LDL (bad cholesterol).

By preparing your meals in more healthy ways, you can improve your diet. Try cooking methods such as grilling or broiling instead of cooking with oil and butter for a healthier result. Food preparation is an important element of creating a healthy diet.

Take a close look at dairy products before consuming them. Dairy products are rich in potassium, protein, vitamin D and calcium but keep in mind that these foods also contain fat. Milk should be skim or low-fat to reduce calories without sacrificing nutrients. If you cannot tolerate lactose, try soy milk or milk that is lactose-free. If you prefer to eat cheese to get your nutrients, opt for reduced-fat cheeses to cut fat.

Be sure to minimize your intake of sodium. Eating a lot of sodium has been shown to cause many health problems such as kidney failure or even heart disease. Sodium also has an adverse impact on bone health due to loss of calcium.

You should try the cuisine from various countries, not just your own. Eating the same stuff everyday can get old, but you can liven up your plate and please your palate by trying nutritious foreign fare.

Eat some garlic for nutrition and also to boost immunity. One of the best natural antibiotics is garlic. You can use to season many dishes. You can also try roasting garlic and eating it with toast.

If you have trouble sleeping, improving your nutrition may help. Certain foods will make you feel more alert, while others can help to relax you. It’s a great idea to allow your body to take some time to digest its food after eating.

Red meat isn’t bad for you! Poultry with the skin can be just as fattening, if not more so than red meat. Be careful to choose lean red meat cuts, such as top round roast or eye of round.

Potassium rich foods are important to consume if you want to keep your body healthy. Try increasing your intake of beans, bananas, and sweet potatoes to increase your intake of potassium. Your body will utilize this potassium in order to lower your blood pressure and protect you from heart disease and diabetes. Eating yogurt and drinking plenty of milk will also provide you with potassium, as will other dairy items.

In conclusion, there are endless ways for you to improve your diet. Use these ideas to create a personal nutrition plan to enhance your healthy lifestyle. Remember, you will be making these lifestyle changes for your own benefit.

I am not a vegan but the thought of doing a vegan day here and there has crossed my mind a few times

I am not a vegan but the thought of doing a vegan day here and there has crossed my mind a few times. I feel that if done properly one can greatly benefit from purging meat from their diet maybe once or twice a month. Doing a little research on the web will find you quite a lot of useful information so you can find a way to meet your caloric and macro nutrient needs. I have been learning about plants & veggies that contain estrogen or what is called phyto estrogens and the research is sometimes contradictory. I feel that over consumption of phytoestrogens and isoflavins can possibly increase your estrogen over a period of time. If you eat certain plants that contain these isoflavins intermittently, I think that there should be no real effect on hormone levels. Of course that’s my opinion and I am not a doctor so don’t hold me to anything.

True vegans will avoid all products of animal origin, so an adequate bodybuilding diet is really difficult. For a vegan bodybuilder, a strict regimen will need to be followed, especially to ensure that a varied diet is still consumed. Remember also that many quality supplements are derived from animal products, for example creatine, whey protein and meal replacement powders (MRPs), so you will have to avoid these. If you are in doubt about any product, check with the manufacturer.

Other great protein sources which vegetarians and vegans can enjoy are mixed beans, baked beans, hummus, tofu, quorn, textured vegetable protein (TVP), organic soy (avoid regular soy due to pesticides), coconut, oat and rice/almond milk, and many more. Often these products do have a reasonable carbohydrate content too, useful for gaining weight, and are low in fat. Vegans would be wise to include seaweed or a vitamin B12 supplement daily, as without animal products their diets may be insufficient in vitamin B12.

IMPORTANT – remember both plans are merely a guide and must not be stuck to rigidly. You must eat a variety of different protein sources, complex carbohydrates and fruit and vegetables every day, and drink plenty of water. If you are still not gaining sufficient weight, increase portion sizes of protein and carbohydrate foods; if you are starting to hold a little body fat, reduce portion sizes of carbohydrate foods slightly. A little bit of junk food now and again will do no harm.

While it sounds incredibly kitschy, Jessica and I have decided to do the most cliché thing I can think of this time of year: take a New Year resolution that we have every intention of keeping. We are going to lose weight and gain lean muscle, all on a completely vegan diet. Jessica has me hooked on all of the success stories BodyBuilding.com has for women. There are literally dozens of stories coming from women of all ages, sizes and ethnicities, complete with their full diet and exercise programs used to come to these results.

The thing we noticed while looking at all of these stories was that they use tons of supplements and almost no vegetarian/vegan protein options. Jessica being the huge fan of Brendan Brazier that she is, we are fully aware that it is absolutely possible to build lean muscle without consuming animal protein. We haven’t started yet (don’t want to set ourselves up for failure on New Year’s Eve), but I am going to start eating better between now and Monday. We will begin the full plan on January 02nd, so if you want to do it with us, by all means please do. And if you do choose to join in, please send us a quick message or comment, we’d love to hear from you to help keep us motivated.

(These are rough ideas of a plan that we haven’t yet started. These may and probably will be changed as we begin, but we will let you know of any changes made throughout the plan.)

The Diet Plan

Breakfast –

½ cup plain oatmeal

1 cup spinach, banana and strawberry smoothie, with one scoop vegan protein powder

½ cup hummus with raw celery

How are we today?

We’re doing, both Louise and myself are doing fine, having a great time over here. Weather is not too bad. Yesterday ended up being quite hot. Not overcast at all. Sun was out. And man, the sun had a bit of power! Very, very strong.

Today is still looking good. A bit more overcast. It is going to be a bit cooler. But we are still going to go down into the pool. We checked it out before actually, and the water is warm. So looking forward to that.

Maybe you can hear the waves in the background. Quite beautiful and relaxing watching that. Good waking up to it as well, waking up to the sound of the waves.

I have got a few more pictures to include, which I took last night. I will show you shortly in this video. Just talking about the food I had yesterday and so forth. So I will pause this now and we’ll have a look at what I ate yesterday. At least some of the meals anyway.

OK, so here is some of the food I actually had yesterday. Very, very healthy, as you can see. And this is my breakfast. And no, the toast wasn’t mine. That was actually Louise’s toast. And here is my huge serving of fruits and nuts. I had a big serving so I didn’t eat it all.
And this is what I had in the evening. Very, very healthy. Sorry about the bad quality picture.

OK, so there you go. That’s some of the food I ate yesterday. All healthy. Good variety I thought there. Trying not to have too much rice. I think if you are looking to do this, eat like this, it would probably be wise not to have too much rice. I would suggest probably about an 80% vegetable to rice mix. Because rice is actually a carbohydrate, so it is actually quite strong, quite fattening in large quantities. So I am trying to do that. Because my vegetables are very healthy, and very good for you. You can almost eat an unlimited supply of those. Less, in terms of fruit. Fruit being very sweet of course, you don’t want to have too much of that. But you can certainly have quite a bit.

I am tending to put too much on my plate and not finishing it. This morning at breakfast the fruit that I showed you earlier, I didn’t get to finish that. I probably loaded it up a bit too high. So I have got to keep that in mind, not to load it up too high, with too much food basically. I don’t want to get into that habit of overeating, even if it is the healthy stuff.

But yeah. Still feeling good. Still feeling fantastic.

And I tried a few alcoholic drinks since I have been here actually. A few cocktails. I haven’t liked it. Did you know that alcohol has got ethanol in it. Ethanol the actual fuel they use for cars and stuff. A byproduct of that is actually in alcohol. I found that quite interesting. And apparently it is only the liver than can try and process that component of alcohol. Which is why, if you drink too much of it, you get liver damage. Because the liver can’t handle it all. So, interesting.

Anyway, my point is I didn’t really enjoy that cocktail. Maybe it is because I haven’t had a drink for two or three months now. I am probably not going to indulge in that anymore. I am going to go back on that sort of stuff. The other thing I noticed… one of the cocktails that I ordered was supposedly fresh juice. And it was really interesting. I tasted it as soon as it came out, and I knew straight away that it was out of a can. Big difference between all natural juice that has just come out, or has just been juiced; as opposed to juice coming out of a can. So I knew straight away obviously, and I didn’t finish that. It was just sickly sweet, and just tasted nowhere near as good as the fresh stuff.

Not a lot else to report. Everything is still going fine in my new vegan diet plan and my weight loss. And if you are on a juice fast, keep at it. Keep up the good work. If you have got any questions about that as well as the vegetarian meal plan, by all means let me know and I will try and answer them. For now I am going to go and have a swim.

Thanks for watching. I will talk to you tomorrow.

Talk to you then. Bye for now.

Maybe getting closer to ten o’clock. The weather is fine today. Actually the sun is shining, so it is going to be a very nice day.

But, getting back on track, talking about eating. I ate very well yesterday. All healthy vegetarian recipes and vegetarian meals. For those of you who don’t know, since finishing my juice fast, 56 days of a juice fast, and I lost about 22 kilos, which is around about 51 pounds, since then, I have decided – because I didn’t have any meat or dairy for that period of time, that I would actually go off them. And go the full hog and go to a total vegan diet plan lifestyle. Now, vegan, for those of you who don’t know, is a vegetarian lifestyle. So, no meat products. But it is taking the next step – there are no animal products at all. So no eggs, meat obviously, no dairy. And instead of doing that basically it’s vegetables and fruits, and also things like nuts which are essential, or, have essential vitamins and minerals. Nuts, legumes, seeds and so on.

And I have got some goodies I want to show you now actually, which I will I do. I actually took a picture of what I ate for breakfast, and lunch and evening meals. I want you to have a look at those now. We’ll start off by having a look at the breakfast. Now you can see that even though it was a bit bit bizarre for me, having a lot of vegetables for breakfast. I had some rice there on the plate. There’s some corn there. There’s also some various vegetables. There’s tomato, it’s a tomato dish. There’s also red curry. Beautiful! Absolutely very nice. And a few other vegetables as well. Broccoli as well I believe.

I’m doing this today. Even though I’m putting these pictures on the screen, I’m actually doing this from memory. So hopefully I am getting it all.

And then after that, again this is for breakfast, I also had some fruit. You can see various fruits now on the screen. And they were really quite nice as well. Very tasty and very filling. And very very healthy of course. And just some water to wash it all down.
Then at lunch time you can see that I found a place in, Junshalun – I think that’s how you pronounce it. And they actually made for me a nice juice. And the juice was carrot, orange, and I can’t remember the other ingredient now. Tomato I think it was. Very nice. And also with that I also had like a stir fry vegetable. Stir fry which you can see there, and also some rice.

Rice is very, very cheap here. It’s about 1/10th the price of that stirfry. From memory the stirfry was about 200 bhat. Now to work it out to Australian dollars, or US dollars, given that they are very close, divide that by about 30. So we paid 200 bhat, I think it was thereabouts for the stirfry. Divide by 30. It’s about $6.50 or something for that stirfry. But the actual rice was 20 bhat. So, I mean, that’s less than a dollar. So, very cheap. And I think the drink was about 160 bhat, about $5. So a very cheap and inexpensive meal.

And for evening meal we went to – there was actually a BBQ night on at the hotel. And Louise had BBQ – she is laughing in the background. They made a nice BBQ mix. You had to choose what meat you wanted, and they cooked it and brought it to you on the table. And I threw them into a bit of a fit, the chef actually, because of course I’m not eating meat. No meat. Oh! No meat! Seafood? He was wondering whether I had seafood. Of course, no animal products, vegan, so fish is out as well. And so he had to go and get the head chef, and he followed me around. Because this is like the buffet. I mean I was quite happy because there was lots of various vegetables. You can see what I’m eating anyway, on screen. You can see there was a good selection there, corn, broccoli, almond butter which was very nice (almond butter being natural, so I was quite happy to try that. Not traditional dairy). The food was quite nice, but they wanted to cook me something else. And they followed me around and basically went through every dish to make sure I had enough. And they were quite happy to, you know, they were going to cook me something.

And that is something I want to say about the lifestyle of the Thai people here. Lots of selling, as you walk down the street there are lots of people trying to sell you something. They actually say, we’re not selling you something. Here, take this brochure. But it’s actually trying to get you into a timeshare apartments or something like that. But of course the presentation is free. So you know they are selling something, and after the first couple we – you just put up your hand and say no.

Another good sales technique they use is try and shake your hand. Because by putting your hand out it’s human nature, you want to shake that hand. Because it’s good manners to do that. And of course that’s the way they rope you into taking, to try and sell you something basically. So of course my tactic there is not to shake their hand. Just to keep my hands down. I did feel a little bit mean, and Louise felt a little bit mean as well because these people are obviously trying to make a living. But we’re here for a holiday, we’re not here to be “sold to” I guess.

But there were lots other little stalls and so forth which were really good. But the food here was absolutely phenomenal. Really, really nice food. And the other thing was there was these little roadside portable food booths, you would probably call them. They were little carts that they push, and they have got two wheels, and fruits and so forth. And they will make you a little meal. So I am going to try one of those today or tomorrow I think. And they look absolutely superb. So that’s apart from going to restaurants and all those other places. There are just so many little places where you can actually eat.

And people look so happy here. Even the taxis. There are taxis in every street and they are always trying to get you to use their taxi. And when you say, No, we’re just walking, or something, they’re always smiling and happy. I have to say the Thai people are very happy and friendly people and they have made us feel quite welcome.

But yeah, getting back to the vegan lifestyle. Even having breakfast today I was speaking to Louise and it is just a spinout now that I am eating vegetables, and really enjoying the taste of vegetables. Let alone having them for breakfast! I mean, I can eat them at breakfast and thoroughly enjoy them! It was a beautiful meal. All the meals I have been having, including breakfast, have been absolutely, really nice.

And my sister has actually started a juice fast, Michelle. Well done. And actually Jenny my other sister has started a juice fast. Michelle is on Day 3 and she has been messaging on Facebook an update, and she says, I have lost weight. No surprises there guys, if you are starting the juice fast, you will lose weight. And it was interesting because the comment was, I’m not going to be giving up meat. I love meat too much. I couldn’t give that up. It’s very, very standard to be thinking that early on.

I was much the same. I was thinking I’m not going to give up dairy and meat. Give up icecream?! Give up chocolate?! I don’t think so! There’s no way I can give it up. So I was looking for a way around it. A way to – this is when I started the juice fast – my way was, I am going to finish the juice fast, lose the weight, and then go back to this type of living.

But what happens, along your journey (depending on how long you’re doing the juice fast for) your body starts changing. And consequently now I have got no interest in those foods. About the biggest thing I actually had was there was some, a few pieces of banana in syrup. And I tasted it and I thought, wow, how sweet is that! And I didn’t want any more.

The other thing I think I had this morning was broccoli and cheese. I actually put some on my plate before realising what it was. Because again, cheese being the dairy. So I decided not to eat it. Well, I had the two pieces that I had on there. But again, the point I am making here is you are really conscious of what you are eating. And you are not wanting to try all those other yucky foods. Yucky in the sense of all the harm I have caused my body over the years.

So, I’m certainly not saying anyone else needs to be like that. But what I’m finding from the juice fast, and I think you’ll find the same, is that once you have done it for a while, you don’t want to go back to your old habits. So, getting back to my sister Michelle – I haven’t said this to her yet, because I have got to go and message her later – but she will find if she does stick to the juice fast long enough, she won’t want meat anymore!

Or it’s likely she won’t want meat anymore, or any of these other things that aren’t actually good for the body. She may, of course there’s a chance that she may. And Louise is laughing in the background. I’m waffling on, aren’t I!

Ah, she’s blowing me a kiss. So that’s nice, isn’t it. Anyway the point is your eating habits are changing. Now, whether it is meat, or whatever it is, they have changed dramatically for me. Look, I was the biggest sweet tooth in the world. Or close to it!

The reason I had stacked on all this weight, was because of icecream, chocolate, … if you look at my Day 1 video I go through all the reasons why. I’m not eating that stuff anymore and I’m not missing it at all. And I’m just loving the vegetables and the fruits, and getting all the sweetness and nutrition. And I just notice with every mouthful that I’m having, that it is all healthy food.

So I am feeling fabulous guys. I just want to pump you up if you are at a difficult place now, and you are wondering whether it is worthwhile persevering. I just want to show you that it’s testimony to the fact that it is what it says – it is absolutely worth it, and the benefits are going to be there for a lifetime, just with your eating habits, and the way you are feeling.

Just briefly the other thing I’ll mention is that I spent quite a bit of time, probably 3 hours in total, in the pool yesterday afternoon. I swam a little bit, then got out, then swam back a little bit. I would never have done that. Now, I’m not saying that I am the perfect weight yet. I still have got some weight to lose. But the point is I’m very comfortable now with my body. And I was able to, I was quite happy, and I felt quite good. Whereas in the past I would have felt awkward with a lot of people being around there. I wouldn’t have been very comfortable being in the water.

So I’m sure if you’re overweight now you feel, or you probably know what I’m talking about. You’ve probably been there as well. That feeling that people are looking at you, even though they probably are not, in most cases. But you get that very self conscious feeling. And that has largely gone away for me now. Yes, I’ve still got some weight to lose. But that weight will come off slowly over time now. So I’m not too fussed about it now. Because I know that eating right, eating vegetables and fruits, and exercising, the weight is just going to come off. There’s no doubt about that.

So I will be at my goal weight, which is just under 80 kilos, about 170 pounds, or thereabouts, probably in a few months time just with the whole food diet I’m eating now. Which is fantastic!

So, hang in there. That’s the point I want to make if you’re watching this and need some motivation. I am hoping this is giving you some motivation today that you can succeed with this. All you need to do is persevere and keep at it. The only way you’re going to fail is if you give up. And just think of the benefits. I know it’s easy sometimes to think of what you’ll get if you give up the smoothie diet. In other words, go back to your old eating. Because you’ve, over time, thought that was the right thing to eat.

But think of the benefit. Think of the new you, in terms of the weight. How much more confidence you will have. How much healthier you’ll be. How much happier you will be, once you have got down to your weight. And just try and do it a day at a time. No need to think 56 days. (Depending on how long your juice fasting is). Do it a day at a time. Every day is going to be its own little reward for you, your own little success. And just chain those successes together over time. And before you know it, 56 days are up, or you are at the end of your juice fast, or your new eating lifestyle has become the norm.

So, that’s all I can say for now. I am going to leave you for now and go back to enjoying the Phuket sun. And I will be back tomorrow with another video

Until then, enjoy yourself. Thanks for watching. And I will talk to you then. Bye for now.

Hi guys!

Tim here from Puket – Phuket I should say, not puke-et, as in spew!

We’re having a lovely time here. This is our first day here. We arrived late last night and obviously didn’t get a chance to do a video. I just wanted to show you the view behind me. We have got a fantastic suite right on the ocean. Absolutely amazing. Weather is fantastic. Even though it is overcast the temperature is really quite warm. It’s almost muggy, but it is beautiful. Absolutely loving it.

We’ve got a busy day today. We’ve got lots of plans. Mainly exploring.

We couldn’t believe the number of motorbikes on the road. It was quite entertaining when we were [arriving] from the airport. All the motorbikes ducking in and out. Some people were actually holding umbrellas while they were riding motorbikes.

Louise: Three on a bike!

Tim: Yes, three on a bike, and no…

Louise: No helmet!

Tim: … helmet. Daredevils. It was pouring with rain and it was quite an experience watching it. But there were no accidents. Everyone seemed to be doing well.

Just in relation to your comments, there are lots of comments waiting on the videos I’ve done in the past, and there probably will be on this one as well.

I’m not going to get a chance to get to every comment. I’ve got an iPad here that I’m filming on, but I can’t seem to get comments to stick. So I will probably have to wait until I get back. But please do keep them in, and know that I am reading them at least. I will get back to you with any answers when I get back on Sunday or next Monday when I get back.

But just a quick video for today. I hope to show you some sights tomorrow. We’ll take some video, photos and videos of the surrounding areas and so forth. You know, market places and so forth. And I will try to show you tomorrow videos when I have got a bit more time. The other thing is we are just about out of battery with this iPad. I have to go and get an adapter, so I can plug my Australian adaptor into the power here.

Alright, I’ll leave it there for now. Thanks for watching. And I will get back to you tomorrow!

Cheers for now

Going on a vegan diet plan can give you some incredible results if it is done correctly. However there is much to learn before going ahead on a vegan diet plan, it is not as simple as just to eat only greens all the time. Choosing the right combination of fruits, nuts and vegetables are essential for healthy dieting and meeting the daily nutritional demands of your body.

I will focus on three groups in this article, fats, proteins and carbohydrates and in which common vegan foods you will find these. You should always top your vegan diet plan up, by taking regular vitamin pills each day so that you are absolutely sure that you are getting the vitamins that your body depends on.

Fats
When we are talking about fats, we have them placed into three groups, saturated, transsaturated, monosaturated and polysaturated fats. Two of these are bad and two of them are good. Your body needs fat on a daily basis and when you are on a vegan diet plan, you should be getting most of your fat from plantoils as these are rich in mono and polysaturated fats. Nuts and seeds are on the other hand full of saturated and transsaturated fats, and you should keep them to an minimum.

Proteins.
Proteins are essential in our daily diet and provide the body with building blocks and amino acids. When on a vegan diet plan it is quite easy to find good sources of protein. Thins like soy beans, Legumes, Grains, Broccoli and potatoes are really good protein sources. Make sure to consume plenty of protein each day.

Carbohydrates
Finding carbohydrates in vegetables are easy and you have plenty of vegetables to choose from. Carbs are the best source of energy for the body and it can be found in starches and sugars. By eating vegetables like potatoes, rice and pees you will get plenty or carbs. But brown rice and whole grain breads are the best sources. You will find it easy to find carbohydrates that you can put into you vegan diet plan.

If you follow the advice given above, you can put together an effective and safe vegan diet plan using recipes from vegetarian cookbooks or online cocking resources. But you should remember that you would also need supplies of both calcium and vitamin d to fully for fill your daily nutritional demands.

Most vegetarians incline to be less overweight and to have less obesity – related problems. In

Most vegetarians incline to be less overweight and to have less obesity – related problems. Inquiry has showed that mature vegetarians have lower body weight in relation to their height than non-vegetarians, tend to last longer, and have lower rates of cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, type two diabetes, and some types of cancer. Vegetarian diet methods

This health gains are, at least in part, likely due to healthier life-styles above and beyond their dietary intake. For a sample they may smoke less and be more physically active. Nonetheless, there are strong differences in dietary intake between fully grown vegetarians and non-vegetarians that clearly also add to these health benefits.

Vegetarians tend to eat more daily servings of fruits and vegetables which helps contribute to weight control. They also eat less fast food and drink less soda pop and fruit drinks.

A vegetarian diet has advantages for the environment. The foods vegetarians eat are lower on the food chain. Lesser amounts of the earth’s resources are used to grow vegetables and grains than to raise animals for meat. A vegetarian diet while for weight control is also positive for animals. A plant grounded diet for more people would forestall fewer animals from being raised in circumstances that ideal for food production, but not ideal for the animals or workers who help to raise them. Vegetarians

Embracing a vegetarian eating style will provide you with a established and good means to weight control thereby allowing you to avoid the health illnesses that plague most people as a result of the fatty foods that are presently marketed to the masses.

NEWSFLASH: Diets do not work. There are no shortcuts!

At least no healthy ones, anyway. Sure you can have some hack stick the business end of a Oreck in your gut or take enough appetite suppressants to wire your central nervous system but you will not be any healthier. Diets do not work. Diet is the key. When you read of the latest diet you are not hearing about diet, you are hearing about a fad and none of them are healthy.

“What about the Mediterranean Diet,” you may ask, “Isn’t that supposed to be healthy?” When the phrase Mediterranean Diet comes up it does not mean a weight loss program, it means the diet of the people of the Mediterranean Sea.

What they eat everyday of their lives and yes that is as healthy as you will ever find. There are tons of studies that show us a lifetime commitment to eating more whole grains, fruits and vegetables and a decreasing emphasis on animal protein (fish first, then poultry, and finally beef/goat/lamb/dairy/etc.) and sugar is the way to go. Add in the proper amount of exercise and you have the recipe for a healthy life. Do not do this and nothing else you do is healthy. Proper diet and exercise is the way to go.

But the endless cycle of weight loss/weight gain is worse for your body than toting around that spare tire. Need to know more about the Mediterranean Diet? Check out the American Heart Association’s research.
