I searched online for Myanmar metal stuff last night and found a forum. With great expectations, I clicked on the link.

What I found?

They were talking about… nu-metal??? Yes, nu-metal. Frigging hell mallcore stuff like Slipknot and Marilyn Manson. There were even people who mentioned Linkin Park and Flyleaf.

Seriously! There was nothing on it but mallcore. -.-

Next one was a blog. He was talking about Slipknot and how much he likes them and on another blog was an article on Myanmar metal scene and the author was talking about Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold and Trivium. Frigging Metalcore.

There were even some people who said,”Slipknot is Death Metal”. Ya, go die. It pisses me off when I hear people saying crap like that.

Mallcore, Nu-metal, Metalcore, BFMV, A7X, Marilyn Manson, BMTH, blah blah blah and it goes on and on and on in a never finishing mallcore whirlpool. This is what’s happening  in Myanmar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When most people think of venomous animals, their first reaction is to think of snakes.  This is an accurate thought process as snakes are indeed venomous animals, infamous for killing individuals in a terrible way.  However, snakes are not the only creatures that have evolved a chemical defense like venom.  There are venomous birds, frogs, fish, even mollusks!  The duck billed platypus contains a venomous barb on its hind paws that it can use for defense.    Todays post will deal with one of these venomus animals that should be coming into fame soon.  The Geographic Cone Snail.

Conus geographus belongs to a family of snails known as the Conidae.  Snails belonging to this family are distinguished by having a cone shaped shell.  We often see these for sale on hawaiian necklaces or at shell stores.  The geographic cone snail  is an amazing beautiful creature but has a deadly venom.  This small snail is packed with a potent venom known as Conotoxin.  This venom is a classic nicotenic acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.  It blocks the reuptake of acetylcholine into the nervous system.  Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter often responsible for muscle movement.  When the inhibitor for acetylcholine is blocked, tons of it builds up in the neuro synapses.  This causes the body to convluse and go rigid due to over signaling.  Eventually you cannot exhale and you suffocate and die.

Conotoxin, therefore, is a wonderful weapon for Conus geographus to use to capture prey.  This tiny snail can actually eat a fish whole!  It has a proboscis which it uses like a nose.  It searchers around for food and when it smells it, it injects a harpoon like structure into the skin of the prey.  This harpoon pumps the deadly conotoxin into the prey causing it to become paralized.  It then devours the food alive.

What is amazing about this compound is that it has pharmaceutical applications.  A novel drug has been developed from it.  The drug, known as conotropin, is a powerful analgesic, pain killer.   Said to be 1,000 times more powerful than morphine with no known side effects, Conotropin, has the potential to help thousands of sufferers of pain wordwide.  People with debilitating ailments such as sciatica can now rely on this drug to finally give them relief without destroying their bodies.  This drug is still in clinical trials however so look for it in the near future.

The Story: As the Avengers find themselves subjected to the whims of Molecule Man, Victoria Hand scrambles.

What’s Good: As Hand takes center-stage this month, we finally get a three-dimensional character out of her.  It’s very interesting to see how her motivations largely stem out of an uncompromising sense of integrity mixed with a desire to do as much as good as possible.  Hopefully this is a seed that will come back to bite Norman.  Either way, it’s always great to get to know a character as an individual, let alone one who’d been little more than scenery up until this point.  Having Hand become more developed will undoubtedly add more to the series.

Meanwhile, in the present, Hand is thrust into a central leadership position, and we see just how awkward, uncomfortable, and perhaps even unprepared and flustered she is in such a role.  Victoria Hand finally feels and looks human and almost likable.

Molecule Man is the other central figure this month and he’s definitely creepy, particularly thanks to Bendis’ godlike portrayal of his ill-defined Silver Age power set.  I also really liked how Bendis wrote his voice.  While not openly bonkers, there’s just something off about his dialogue.  Bendis is clearly trying to convey the character’s complete social ineptitude, isolation, and consequent difficulty conversing with others.  It’s very subtle, but that makes it all the more skillfully executed.

Greg Horn also does a fantastic job illustrating the “dream sequences” this month, with his hazy, softer, painted feel contrasting beautifully and suddenly with the usual heavy, dark, muscled fare that Deodato brings.

What’s Not So Good: Nothing really wowed me about this issue.  I think that that’s largely due to the book spending an incredible amount of time with Molecule Man as the main character weaving the text together.  Probably not a good call when we’re unattached to the character.  Also, while his voice is good, his “I want to be left alone” rhetoric does repeat.  This would normally be just fine, but when he’s holding together the entire issue, it gets a little dry.

Also, outside of Hand’s scenes, the structure of this month’s issue is so apparent that it creaks.  Every member of the team gets one scene where they feel the power of Molecule Man.  It’s a really uninventive way of getting a new villain’s power across and it also makes the latter half of the issue feel more like a series of skits or vignettes than a single coherent book.  As each Avenger is visited, I can almost feel Bendis ticking off boxes.  Of course, page-count concerns also reduce the length of each scene, sometimes to a single page, so it’s not like any of them particularly resonate either.

Furthermore, was it really necessary to see Sentry get pulverized again?  It’s getting ridiculous how the most uber-powerful character in the Avengers-line has been turned into a complete bitch throughout Dark Reign thanks to the writer’s inability to figure out what to do with him.  It’s not like anyone would take anything resembling a death for the character seriously at this point anyway.

As a final note, I mentioned this last month, but Deodato really does love to draw scantily clad women.  For the second month in a row, the needless skimpiness annoys.  As does seeing page after page of naked bodybuilder Norman Osborn.

Conclusion: It’s cool getting to know Victoria, but outside of some neat work by Horn, the rest of the book is a bit of a wash.

Marvel Spider-man 3 movie brought a whole lot of Spider-man figures to collect. One of the coolest series was the Titanium Die Cast series which consisted of :

It had been a pretty long while since I started expecting the sequel to Marvel Ultimate Alliance (2006) sequel and finally, I have got it and finished the game twice. It is a bit odd, because I had really expected much more from this game and at the end, it kinda feels like a dissapointment. Because of my console, the version I will talk about is the Wii version of the game.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, previously known also as Fusion, basically follows the same path of the original game in terms of gameplay. Up to four players can join during anytime of the game, choosing 4 characters among 26 playable Marvel heroes and villains and overcoming each obstacle on their way. One of the new aspects of the game is the fact that now, thanks to the fusion power the characters are able to combine their powers, realeasing a powerful blast of mixed abilities. This new feature, apart from the story, are the only new attractions of the game, so we can say there’s a bit lack of originality.

The characters have improved in a lot of aspects, specially the visual one, but surely fans of the previous game will be struck by the fact of not having really new superpowers. Indeed, almost all the attacks of the first game have come back, with the exception of few that were changed, into something a little bit better, or something even worse. Teamwork is still the same, and the enemy’s level of intelligence becomesa challenge in some moments of the game, but there’s nothing really splendorous. Expectations about the new characters like Jean Grey, Penance, Psylocke, etc. fade quickly, as you realize some are the obvious replacement of the ones in the first game that didn’t enter in this second round (like Psylocke, who is basically Elektra). Some others continue being as good as they were, and pretty few have become really stronger.

The game’s plot follows the Civil War story, on which the heroes have to choose between accepting the Act of Registration from the Government, or not. Depending on what you choose, some characters will be available or not, and missions will change, according to the story you’re playing. Nevertheless, the way the plot is told becomes sometimes quite boring, and you just skip the info in order to start playing the missions. The S.H.I.E.L.D. blue points, where you save your progress and change your team are now spread in not very useful locations, unlike the previous game, and you can’t change characters who have died in battle anymore. You have to bring them back to life using the Fusion, and in the Wii version, there are no costumes for the characters. 

Bosses have a balanced level, and the locations, although they are not as exotic as in the prequel, are now made with more detail, giving the game a pleasant visual effect. Missions have become shorter in lenght and not very dinamic in some moments. A good improvement from the first Wii version is that the Wii Remote Control is now more enjoyable without being an irritating feature. Attacks are not made by the control’s movement anymore, and isntead, it is required only in specific actions.

So, in general, MUA2 it’s the same game as the first one with some improvements but no really outstanding feature, a story that can be sometimes hateful, and cool characters that still, have something which doesn’t really fit at all. A good avergae game, but the first one is really missed by the player while he plays this one.

So, here’s a list of all the playable Wii characters, with a brief opinion of mine (based on my playing with them), and more images. Leave your comments as you wish!

1.- Captain America: He’s basically the same as in the first game, and his attacks are overpowered by most of all the other characters. A shield is not very useful, really… Grade: Useful in some moments.

2.- Iron Man: With some new improvements, Stark’s armor is not only a reliable backup, but also quite an offensive fighter. He’s not only powerful but also resistant. Grade: Essential for victory!

3.- Thor: The mighty Nordic God might not seem trustful in this game, but hides great power in his hammer. Strong and offensive, clearly a great choice. Grade: Good choice!

4.- Hulk: This new ally it’s powerful by nature. His only “but” is that he requires “rage” for some of his attacks, but it’s a good companion in rooms full of enemies… Grade: Good choice!

5.- Spiderman: The web-head neighbour it’s the master of agility, and along with his spider powers becomes a useful tool whether for running away, or fighting multiple enemies at a time… Grade: Essential for victory!

6.- Mr. Fantastic: Thanks to his elastic powers, he can reach enemies that are not close to him, but his physical power from the last game, went from 5 to 2 so think about it… Grade: Not the best, not the worst.

7.- Invisible Woman: Susan’s powers have increased from 5, to extra 5, becoming quite a good heroine to play with. Not only will she protect her mates using big shields, but also her “fusion” abilities end up with massive destruction! Grade: Essential for victory!

8.- Human Torch: Johnny’s fire power is strong, and used in a proper way, becomes destructive, besides, his combinations with the other heroes always result in total blast, surely, one hell of a flame! Grade: Good choice!

9.- The Thing: Ben’s physical power it’s the same, but unlike the first game, he’s a little bit faster. This allows him to act like a big bull enemies can’t run from!!! Grade: Good choice!

10.- Wolverine: The iconic X-Man, remains the same as in the prequel, but his lack of power is far more visible. It’s not a good idea to use metal claws against metal armors… Grade: Useful in some moments.

11.- Storm: Storm’s lightnings are a good weapon when a lot of enemies surround you, but… apart from that she has nothing really good to add, except (maybe…) her fusion compability… Grade: Useful in some moments.

12.- Cyclops: This new player seems to have a poor gameplay, but his optical powers ban that statement and make him a good mate rivals can’t deal with. Grade: Good choice!

13.- Jean Grey: She’s probably one of the best newcomers to the game. Not only can she revive with her powers, but also ask her Phoenix’s soul for help and play with telekinesis as if she were playing with dolls. Grade: Essential for victory!

14.- Iceman: Basically the same as always, Iceman icy powers are useful for freezing enemies once and for all, trapping them in what can become a massive punching bag. Fast, agile, and a good shooter… what else do you ask? Grade: Good choice!

15.- Gambit: Another newcomer who impresses with her explosive cards. His shooting ability is stunning, and more when his cards fly everywhere without even aiming at an enemy! Grade: Good choice!

16.- Psylocke: This lady’s pink powers are not very realiable and you’d prefer to take Jean instead of her. Her pink blade is probably a good weapon, along her butteflies, but she’s not the latest warrior… Grade: Useful in some moments.

17.- Deadpool: This mercenary is everything but rubbish. He shoots as fast as you blink your eyes, teleports, jumps, throws granades and starts the massive attacks as fast as he says: “Hello!” His resistance and health powers… make him the perfect back-up. Grade: Essential for victory.

18.- Daredevil: Not a very impressive character, Daredevil shows us agile movements and baton-based hits. Nothing really amazing. Grade: Not the best, not the worst.

19.- Songbird: Another newcomer who seems to offer a lot, but at the end is just another normal mutant. Her sonic powers are only impressive when the fusion is made. A bad point: she can’t attack while she flies… Grade: Not the best, not the worst.

20.- Blade: The old vampire hunter was weak and this new version of him… is still weak. Surrounded by all the other mutants, he barely even disappears among them. Some attacks have become stronger, and the gunshot is probbaly his best feature. Grade: Useful in some moments.

21.- Ms. Marvel: We still wonder why did she return. She’s not amazing and her attacks do a damage level of mediocrity. The only plus is that she’s strong, but in that case… better take Hulk or the Thing. Grade: Stay at the base.

22.- Penance: This mysterious guy doens’t seem to be strong or physically impressive, although visually, he is. Has energy attacks based in getting pain, but his really strong point is the “fusion” move, that ends up sometimes in total destruction. Grade: Not the best, not the worst.

23.- Luke Cage: This warrior is anything but spectacular. Maybe his fists against the ground are something but aparte from that… the chain, the punch… just don’t really work. Grade: Stay at the base.

24.- Venom: One of the two villains available, Venom it’s one of the best newcomers. His slow melee moves are compensed by really good attackas using his symbiotic abilites, which are able to drain enemy’s life in less that 1 minute! Grotesque, sometimes is the best… Grade: Essential for victory!

25.- Green Goblin: The explosive pumpkins he throws make up for his lack of physical damage. Basically that’s all he does… oh, did I mention he launches missiles? Grade: Not the best, not the worst.

26.- Nanyte Nick Fury: This android version of Nick Fury is strong, and has some good attacks… but he’s lack of visual compability with the rest of heroes, makes him a little odd. Apart from that… his sniper rifle deserves some views. Grade: Not the best, not thw worst.

We do feel sometimes the need of using Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Moonknight or Colossus right? Hahaha… among all the mentioned, who’s your favorite???

เป็นเรื่องที่น่ายินดีอย่างยิ่ง สำหรับหนังเรื่อง Spider-Man 4 เพราะจะกลับมาน้ำเน่าอีกครั้ง? ล้อเล่นน่ะครับ ผมก็ไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่า จะดีหรือเปล่า แต่การที่มีนางแมวดำ ขย้ำหัวใจนั้น มาอยู่ในเรื่องด้วย จะดูติดเรทไปรึเปล่า ก็เปล่าหรอกครับ แต่จะกลายเป็นละครไทย ? เอ๊ะ ยังไง

ก็นั่นเพราะมีเมียหลวง และเมียน้อย ตามเนื้อเรื่องในการ์ตูน Black Cat จะเป็นกิ๊กของสไปดี้ของเราครับ แต่ผมก็ไม่รู้อะไรมากกว่านี้หรอก และในตอนนี้ มีการยืนยันมาแล้วครับ ว่า Black Cat จะอยู่ในหนัง Spider-Man 4

หลังจากที่ได้ฟังข่าวลือต่างๆ ของสองนักแสดงสาว ราเชล แม็คอดัมส์ และ โรโมลา กาไร ในเรื่องของการเข้ามารับบทใหม่ ในหนังภาคต่อที่สี่นี้ ซึ่งเธอทั้งสองได้ไปเจรจากับ แซม ไรมี่ ผู้กำกับโดยเฉพาะ และตอนนี้ จากแหล่งที่เชื่อถือได้ ก็ยืนยันมาครับ ว่าแน่นอน นางแมวดำจะอยู่ใน Spider-Man 4

จากเว็บ Hey U Guys ได้มีการฟันธงว่าอยู่ชัวร์ 100%  ซึ่งก็ได้มีการโยงใย ไปถึงตัวร้ายอีกหนึ่งตัว นั่นก็คือ Vulture ตัวร้ายอีแร้งโฉบเฉี่ยวไปทั่วฟ้า ที่ล่าสไปดี้ จนหนี(บางครั้ง)แทบไม่ทัน แล้วตัวร้ายนี้ มันลือออกมาได้ไงเนี่ย ผมเล็งเห็นว่า เนื้อเรื่องจะไม่เกี่ยวกับหนังภาคที่แล้วเลย แต่ก็มีัอยู่อย่างหนึ่งครับ ที่น่าจะเป็นไปได้ นานมาแล้ว ช่วงเวลาหนึ่ง มีข่าวลือถึงโจรผู้(อาจจะ)ฆ่าลุงเบน มาว่า เขาผู้นั้น จะกลับมา ในภาึคสี่ โดยผู้แสดงบทนี้ก็คือ ไมเคิล ปาปาจอห์น โจรคนนั้นแหละ ที่โง่ สะดุดท่อตกตึกไป โดยการกลับมา อาจกลับมาแบบไม่ธรรมดา กลับมาแบบ ไม่เป็นผู้เป็นคน(ตามเคยมันก็เป็นไอ้กรรมติดตัวอยู่แล้ว) และนั่น ผมคิดว่า ถ้ัามีเจ้าแร้งวัลเจอร์หัวโกร๋นจริงๆ ก็ไม่แน่ว่า จะเป็นเจ้าโจรโง่นั่นรึเปล่า ก็ยังไม่แน่ครับ มันเป็นแค่การลือๆ กันไว้

ก็ประมาณนี้แหละครับ โดยที่แน่ๆ นั้น ในตอนนี้ มีตัวร้ายที่ยืนยันมาก่อนหน้านี้แล้ว ก็คือ The Lizard ตัวร้ายกิ้งก่า หรือ จิ้งจกยักษ์ และปัจจุบัน ก็อีกหนึ่งตัว Black Cat ครับ แต่…!!! ยังไม่ใช่เพียงแค่ Vulture ที่ลือมาตอนนี้เท่านั้น ยังมี Kraven คนป่า ล่าเป็นฝูง ตัวร้ายที่เปรียบดั่ง สัวต์ป่า มีสมุนเป็นสัตว์ป่า่ต่างๆ ก็มีเปอร์เซ็นต์เป็นไปได้อยู่ครับ แต่จะมีการเ้กี่ยวข้องกับเนื้อเรื่องภาคก่อนๆ หรือไม่ อันนี้ก็ต้องติดตามข่าวอย่าขาดสาย นอกเหนือจากนี้ ยังมี Carnage และ Mysterio ที่มีการลือ แต่ความเป็นไปได้นั้นช่างน้อย ซึ่งส่วนตัว ผมอยากให้มี Carnage จริงๆ ครับ เพราะยังไง ก็สร้างพี่อสรพิษ Venom มาแล้ว Carnage ก็ต้องมีสิ แต่ยังไงก็นะ ติดตามต่อไป…

[O básico do Ball Summon]

OBS: (hit) se refere a um golpe que acerta a Ball

Para pokear a média distância, use os f.S, 2S, 5HS e 6HS. O 5HS possui boa vantagem, enquanto o 6HS impede air dashes do oponente.

Depois de qualquer um desses pokes, siga com Ball Summon, Stinger Aim ou Carcass Raid. Para se aproximar, use o S Stinger Aim FRC ou S Carcass Raid seguido de dash. Se o oponente tentar fugir pulando, use o 6P como anti-aéreo ou o 6HS no caso de back air dash.

Para o Ball Summon use a versão com P ou S e acerte a Ball com 5P ou 2P. Caso o oponente tente pular, use o 6P ou 2HS na Ball para impedí-lo.

À distância use {K->P} Ball Summon e acerte-as com 5P, protegendo o Venom enquanto avança. Outras opções são o {K Ball Summon, dash jump j.K (hit), air dash} ou {HS Ball Summon, Teleport}.

As Balls tem muitas possibilidades e a última Ball que você colocar define a formação, então você pode alterar os setups descritos acima com mais Balls, desde que você mantenha a última. Por exemplo, usar {K->S->P} ao invés de {K->P}, ou {HS->K} ao invés de {K}, etc.

Mas cuidado porque o Teleport vai para a primeira Ball que você colocou, então fazer {K->HS} ao invés de {HS} fará você teleportar para a K Ball e não a HS Ball.

[Usando o c.S]

De perto, faça {2K, c.S} para começar a pressionar e aplicar mix-ups. Enquanto o oponente defende o c.S, alterne entre 2D e {TK Mad Struggle} (FB ou com S). Depois de um FB Mad Struggle você pode fazer outro mix-up com {land, 2K/2D} e {air dash j.S}.

Ou, para continuar pressionando, cancele o c.S com S Carcass Raid ou S Stinger Aim FRC seguido de dash e continue atacando para encher a Guard Gauge do oponente.

Cuidado contra Zappa, pois o terceiro hit do c.S erra se ele estiver agachado.

“Aproveitando o knockdown para criar setups de Balls”

[Aumentando a Guard Gauge]

Depois de derrubar o oponente com 2D (2 hits – exceto Zappa (1 hit)), carregue o Stinger Aim. Dependendo do personagem é possível carregar até o máximo (ABA), mas alguns personagens se levantam mais rápido (Venom) então você deve usar a versão de 3 hits apenas.

Com tension, use o Dark Angel no lugar do Stinger Aim. Enquanto o oponente defende, você pode montar os setups com Balls ou aplicar mix-ups com {TK Mad Struggle} e 2D, aproveitando a Guard Gauge alta do oponente (ou a falta de tension) para causar danos elevados.

[Ball Setups]

Após um knockdown há muitas opções com Ball Setups, sendo difícil decidir qual o melhor para a situação. Por isso, listamos os setups mais comuns abaixo:

- 2D, K Ball Summon, dash jump j.K (hit)…
Setup básico, pode seguir para vários mix-ups, como {air dash j.S, j.HS}, Mad Struggle, {land 2D} ou dar cross-up, permitindo os mesmos mix-ups mas com a defesa trocada, ou arriscar um Throw. Cuidado para não fazer um dash longo demais ou o j.K não acertará a Ball.

- (canto) HS Dubious Curve, K Ball Summon, hj.K (reto/hit), hj.S (caindo)…
Setup com 2 Balls no canto. Depois do hj.S acertar a HS Ball e o oponente, alterne entre Mad Struggle e {land 2K/2D}. Se o oponente defender, siga para as pressões para encher a Guard Gauge e aplique outro mix-up a partir do c.S.
Alguns oponentes se levantam rápido e podem dar reversal mais fácil nesse setup – contra eles, use o K Dubious Curve e faça o setup anterior.

- S Dubious Curve, HS Ball Summon, Teleport, j.K/j.S (hit)…
Setup com Teleport muito útil próximo ao canto. O j.K acerta o oponente, o j.S acerta a Ball. Ambos permitem os mix-ups de Mad Struggle e 2D, onde o j.K “guarda” a Ball para depois enquanto o j.S aumenta sua segurança travando o oponente na defesa primeiro.

- (canto) {S/HS Dubious Curve, D Ball Summon} ou {S/D Dubious Curve, P Ball Summon}, 5P (hit), Teleport…
O 5P atinge a Ball e impede o oponente de fugir. Depois do Teleport, faça um mix-up com j.S e {land 2K}. Depois do j.S você ainda pode seguir com Mad Struggle ou {land 2D} para outro mix-up, e depois do 2K você pode seguir para o c.S para fazer outro mix-up também. Misture isso com FB Mad Struggle para dificultar ainda mais a defesa do oponente!

[Defensivamente]

Venom não possui golpes com invencibilidade para reversal, então use bastante o FD e o backdash para se afastar. Se tiver tension de sobra use o DAA, que joga o oponente longe e permite montar um setup para contra-atacar.

Quando houver uma brecha, arrisque um 2K ou 5K para cortar o avanço do oponente, ou use o 2D para desviar de um golpe alto e contra-atacar.

[FB Mad Struggle]

O FB Mad Struggle é excelente para mix-ups, podendo ser usado após um c.S ou j.S. Se for defendido, Venom recupera-se ainda no ar e pode atacar novamente ou usar um air dash antes de voltar ao chão. Isso gera várias sequências de mix-up, principalmente se o oponente não tiver um reversal bom, aumentando sua liberdade.

[FB Stinger Aim]

O FB Stinger Aim é muito rápido, servindo para punir um whiff ou setop do oponente à distância, ou finalizando um round.

Além disso, se ele atingir outra Ball, ele “trava” a Ball no lugar servindo como uma barreira para o Venom (válido para qualquer FB).

Combine os Ball Setups com os FB Stinger Aim e FB Carcass Raid para fechar o espaço do oponente e você conseguir pressionar e aplicar mix-ups livremente!

On the eve of “Spider-Man 3”, I was literally excited beyond expectations.

The first two films had lived up to the hype and proved that this was the strongest superhero franchise around.

When I saw the first two films, I felt in heart that they emulated what was so great about the Superman movies back in the late 70s and early 80s.

The first one was the typical origin story where we follow the would-be hero as he emerges into the hero we all know. The second film then showcased what if the hero lost his powers and he wasn’t there to save the world and the ones he loves.

Just like “Superman 3”, “Spider-Man 3” carries on the tradition of that franchise by focusing on the darker side of the hero. The best part of “Superman 3” was the battle in the junkyard between good and bad Clark.

Sadly there is no scene like that in “Spider-Man 3”. But the upside to “Spider-Man 3” is that it doesn’t have Richard Pryor or that sadly conceived super computer as the villain.

The plot of the third film involves Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) finding out that a new person killed his beloved Uncle Ben (Cliff Robertson) just as he is about to propose to Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst). That new killer is Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) aka The Sandman. Just in time for Spider-Man to hunt Marko down, an alien parasite attaches itself to the Spider-Man suit and Peter starts to have new found confidence and a new brash look. Another thorn in Peter’s side is a new Daily Bugle photographer named Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) who is after Peter’s staff job at the Bugle.

Meanwhile after a confrontation with Peter, Harry Osborn (James Franco) loses his memory and tries to learn what his life was like before the accident. Who are his friends and who are his enemies?

“Spider-Man 3” has a lot of upsides actually. The visual effects on The Sandman are dynamic and nearly flawless. We don’t get a lot of Venom but what we do see is like the comic book come to life. Then there are the thrilling swinging sequences that just seem to get more and more amazing. (pardon the pun!)

I really liked Harry’s story more in this film than in previous but I am really getting tired of the love triangle between Harry, Mary Jane and Peter. I think for them to really evolve the series, they will have to get rid of Mary Jane and return the focus back onto Peter.

Maybe have her finally make it big as an actress and have her move away. Then either continue the Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) story started in this film or introduce a new love interest like maybe Felicia Hardy aka The Black Cat.

Probably my favourite character in the film is Sandman only because Church brings so much depth and dynamic to this struggling misunderstood man. The scene with his distant wife, played by Theresa Russell, is utterly heart-breaking. As for Topher Grace, I could take him or leave him. He really never made an impression on me.

The film itself is weirdly paced, off kilter and some characters do things out of character. But for me the third film really came completely unravelled in the film’s third act after Brock becomes Venom.

That act just feels like it was tacked on at the last minute. There are portions you kind of scratch your head and go “what?”. It felt a lot like the ending of a Joel Schumacher Batman film. You know rushed, lazy and unappealing. It is such a disappointment.

Now that Sony has said they are going to make at least three more Spider-Man movies, I just hope the fourth film isn’t directed by Brett Ratner and doesn’t have Nuclear Man in it.

There are a few rappers out there that have beat off the hands of time and stayed relevant in the music industry for a decade or more.  To survive in the long run is no easy feat for a rapper, for being a rapper is to be a relevant and magnetic pop figure. Too often trends or personal obstacles swallow the tiny dinghy that is the industry proven rapper. Busta Rhymes is one of these chosen few MC’s who have stayed relevant and remained successful in the rap game. Much of that is because he is truly liked in the industry and gets superior production and attractive features on his albums. His relentless commitment to a seemingly body builder type workout has also assisted Busta in dodging Father Time, but it appears as though all good things come to a nauseating end. Busta just did this photo shoot for Venom Energy and even without the horrendous topless shot, the shoot screams lackluster. Busta goes off into the night with whimper not a bang, I guess the caffeinated drink can only do so much.

Yesterday was the official airing of the new Chamillionaire video and single , Good Morning, from his up coming new album.

Album, Venom, is pushed to 2nd of feb 2010, be on a lookout for that.

Chamillionaire was pioneering the internet marketing at early stages. He was signed after he had  massive hits on his myspace.
