Why oh why must you do this to me Kotobukiya!?  As I try to limit my spending, and I try not to pre-order any figures, as I try to reduce my massive collection, you just keep pulling me back in.  There is absolutely no way to pass up on this new beauty coming our way.

I have been able to resist the temptation of many figures recently but after learning of this today, I fell prey to this magnificent item of PVC.

Not only have I been waiting for the next Venus on the Beach figure from Kotobukiya, but I’m a slut for just about anything Dead or Alive.

Pick your poison.

I named this blog “Venusian Fire” resulting from a culmination of recent events. In my natal chart, I am born under the sign of Libra, ruled by Venus. She is the sizzlin hot goddess of love. A divine manifestation of the supreme feminine. I don’t look anything like her. But she is inside me…being it, without LOOKING it. Try stuffing that one down. That is a challenge of this particular earthly life.

Fire could be considered a masculine, ambitious element. In my natal chart I’m advised I will get my intuition through FIRE. Then, I’ve had 2 recent psychic readings that put heavy emphasis on FIRE. (see blogs under READINGS). I’m still working on understanding the fullness of these.  I just know this all is coming at a very key time for me and there is no denying this…..and I don’t pity the man who will eventually share this burden with me, as I will share in his.

According to the Huang Di Nei Jing, Chapter 69, the metal energy is “clean, uninhibited and bold…When it changes all things become more contracted.  When it becomes destructive things wilt and die.”

In the poem Migration, the cycle and connection between heaven and earth is repeatedly called upon.  Neruda illuminates the ideas of birth and death, unity and dispersion, clarity and reflection, throbbing and cutting, and ascension and return.  According to traditional Chinese medicine, the energy of metal governs these interactions between the earthly/mundane and the heavenly/spiritual within the body and mind.  This ’spirit’ of the metal phase is known as the Po, which enters us with our first breath and exits with our last.  As Lonny Jarrett, a “Five-Element” practitioner puts it in his book Nourishing Destiny:

“The PO consists of the seven emotions (fear, anxiety, anger, joy, sorrow, worry, and grief) which are the primal urges that facilitate the grasping of life.  As an earthbound spirit, I think of the po as relating to gravity, a force that draws things in toward the center of our being and holds them there.  The function of the po is to contact what is of essential worth, receive it into (lungs), and retain it within (large intestine) while returning the yin mundane influences back to the earth from whence they came…The po turns the nourishing yang (sunlight) of later heaven, which is contained in air and captured by all that grows, into the body.  Upon death the po becomes fertilizer, returning to earth in a way that empowers new growth.”

In the poem we feel the manifestation of the need to survive, the ability to survive, the immense strength and courage that it takes to work hard while there is a condition of scarcity and to work equally as hard when there is a condition of plenty.  We can translate the pure physical power of the life cycle, of reproduction, to the experience of spiritual rebirth and the necessity of mental clarity in leading a productive life.  Addressing the function of this great returning in preparation of reproduction, Lonny Jarrett again provides illumination:

“The season associated with the metal element is termed the ‘fall’ in English.  On an external level, it is a fall from the height of life back into the void and barrenness of winter.  On an inner level, however, this may be seen not as a fall, but a return to origin in a more highly evolved state.  This return is often depicted as an evolution in Daoist mythology as the sage, who, in gaining immortality, ascends to heaven on the back of a dragon or crane.” (p260)

Each time we cycle through the year, when we come to the Fall we can see more clearly what tools we have, and whether they are usable or not.  This was traditionally the time to reckon accounts in China.  We associate it with cleansing and pruning in the West.  In the poem, the invocation of ‘geometry’ appropriately points to the identification of the underlying structures which allows us to make use of them.  We can use the inspiration and material goods of the height of summer in order to create a better or more efficient experience during the next year, both physically and mentally/socially.  We preserve the fruits and vegetables by putting them in containers, maybe fermenting them, for winter storage; we use the strength of the community during good weather to help build structures to house our families and animals during the cold months.  We use the fire of summer’s growth to shape the metal of autumn’s bounty into a lasting tool.

The idea of the metal phase also encompasses the necessity of interacting with a greater society of people in order to survive and lead a fulfilling life.  Not only does the survival of the individual ultimately depend on the group during times of stress, but also the survival of the species depends on group action at key points.  In scarce times, social boundaries governing resource usage allow everyone to get by; if violated, famine could result.  Autumn is a time to recognize the value of self (self-worth) within the context of society (as right action) as well as individually (as righteous existence).  When nature shows contraction and decay, humans consciously or unconsciously face mortality, loss and grief.  Autumn clarifies our relation to the boundaries between life and death, our ability to accept the will of a greater power, and ultimately the interdependence of all species.  Just as fungi within the forest help fix minerals from the soil into a usable form for trees,  the bacteria that live within our bowels help us assimilate nutrients and prevent parasitic growth.   The sunlight that enables plants to grow becomes tangible and useful to us as we inhale the oxygen that plants create during photosynthesis.

Planet association of Metal according to five phases: VENUS

Venus is the brightest object in the night sky besides the moon (apparent magnitude -4.6).  Its surface is composed of 70%  lava plains and contains hundreds of volcanoes up to 150km in diameter.  Venus is the only planet that rotates clockwise (retrograde), and spins on a nearly vertical axis very slowly (6.5km/hr).  There are five Venus-days between its closest visits to Earth, which is about every 584 Earth-days.  It is a morning star (brightest just before sunrise) in the fall, and evening star (brightest just after sunset) from winter through spring.  In Mandarin, Venus is named Tai Bai (great white) or Qi Ming (bright clear).

Acupuncture points with terminology relating to the color white and to metal:

Tai Bai (great white)= Spleen 3, the earth point on an earth channel.  This point is very nourishing for the earth phase, and since earth is the mother of metal, it nourishes metal as well.  More on this later.

Yin Bai (hidden white)= Spleen 1.  Wood point on earth channel (controlling).  This point allows the breath of the earth to rise to the lungs, creating balance between earth and heaven.  This point can also mean ’sunrise’ which is associated with Venus, the brightest morning star in the autumn.  SP 1 is also the first Ghost point, used for mental/emotional disorders.  This point controls the earth element, but opens the lungs.  Lung is the first meridian since it is responsible for bringing in heavenly Qi.  Liver (wood element) is the last meridian, and to complete the circuit the energy moves from the wood phase to the metal phase.  This point represents the axis of earth, which gives birth to metal but is controlled by wood.  Sp1 can be seen as a fulcrum for this transition.

Xia Bai (guarding white)=Lu 4.  This point epitomizes all that metal stands for: beyond courage, quality, clarity, purity, refinement, and strength, it enables the ability and action of being a ’spiritual warrior.’  To BE what we know, to make ourselves useful in order to accomplish great undertakings.

Po Hu (Soul Door)= BL42.  Treats the spirit of the metal element.  Opens the eyes when the patient has given up, enables contact with worlds of essence so the spirit can breathe.  Helps the patient participate in the reciprocity of life.

Una anciana se quedo jetona  y no sabemos si la demas gente del metro se dio color de que una zorrita se estaba dando placer artificial frente a sus jetas, pues la foto no capto mas. ¡Chale, alla en Niponia si que estan raros y lo que mas coraje da, es que, habiendo tantos tiranetas urgidos en el mundo que darian un brazo por darle la revolcada de su vida a una hembra como esa, la muy tarada prefiera las cosquillas de un vil aparato! No mamen, no es justo, me cae…

Este post es algo tramposo pues no se trata de alsun asunto o tema particular. Solamente encontre esta buena foto y quise compartirlas con ustedes.  ¿ A poco la zorrita de la foto tiene un par de piernotas capaz de provocar infartos? Sin embargo, a la que le debemos dar las gracias es a su amiga de rosita (que se ve que tambien esta potable), la cual, segun se ve, fue la que animo a su amiga carnosa a mostrar su fenomenal par de apendices. ¡Gracias por ser tan cooperativa, ojala hubiera mas mujeres como tu… la neta!

Estou me preparando para assistir o filme, espero que hoje. Mas, confesso: tenho minha opinião formada sobre alguns assuntos, porém o fim do mundo não é um deles. O fato é: estamos adiantando boa parte do processo. Aliás, mais uma coisinha: muito cuidado com o que ensinam aos seus filhos. Talvez sejam eles a ver, realmente, algo mais próximo do fim. Fico triste ao constatar isso, sabendo que muito do que fizemos – e fazemos – poderia e pode ser evitado.

Cientistas criticam proposta de “2012″ e indicam cenários de fim do mundo

A Nasa (agência espacial norte-americana) criticou a Sony em outubro por sugerir, em sua campanha publicitária para o filme “2012″, que o mundo acabaria em 2012.

No ano passado, o Cern (Centro Europeu de Pesquisas Nucleares), também assegurou que o mundo não acabaria tão cedo –portanto, acho que tudo isso é uma boa notícia para quem fica nervoso facilmente. Com que frequência vemos duas instituições científicas top de linha como essas nos garantindo que está tudo bem?

Por outro lado, é meio triste, se você estava ansioso por tirar umas férias das prestações do imóvel para financiar uma última festança.

As declarações do Cern tiveram a intenção de aliviar temores de que um buraco negro sairia de seu novo Grande Colisor de Hádrons (LHC) e engoliria a Terra.

O pronunciamento da Nasa, na forma de vários posts em sites e um vídeo postado no YouTube, foi uma resposta a temores de que o mundo fosse acabar no dia 21 de dezembro de 2012, quando um ciclo de 5.125 anos conhecido como Grande Contagem no calendário maia teoricamente chegaria a um fim.

Filme

O burburinho em torno do fim dos dias atingiu o auge com o lançamento do filme “2012″, dirigido por Roland Emmerich, que já trouxe desgraças fictícias para a Terra anteriormente, com alienígenas e geleiras, em “Independence Day” e “O Dia Depois de Amanhã”.

No filme, o alinhamento entre o Sol e o centro da galáxia, no dia 21 de dezembro de 2012, faz com que o astro fique ensandecido e lance na superfície da Terra inúmeras partículas subatômicas ambíguas conhecidas como neutrinos.

De alguma forma, os neutrinos se transformam em outras partículas e aquecem o centro da Terra. A crosta terrestre perde suas amarras e começa a se enfraquecer e deslizar por aí.

Los Angeles cai no oceano; Yellowstone explode, causando uma chuva de cinzas no continente. Ondas gigantes varrem o Himalaia, onde governos do planeta tinham construído em segredo uma frota de arcas, nas quais 400 mil pessoas selecionadas poderiam se abrigar das águas.

Porém, essa é apenas uma versão do apocalipse. Em outras variações, um planeta chamado Nibiru colide com o nosso ou o campo magnético da Terra enlouquece.

Existem centenas de livros dedicados a 2012, e milhões de sites, dependendo de que combinação de “2012″ e “fim do mundo” você digite no Google.

“Tolices”

Segundo astrônomos, tudo isso é besteira.

“Grande parte do que se alega que irá ocorrer em 2012 está baseada em desejos, grandes tolices pseudocientíficas, ignorância de astronomia e um alto nível de paranoia”, afirmou Ed Krupp, diretor do Griffith Observatory, em Los Angeles, e especialista em astronomia antiga, em um artigo publicado na edição de novembro da revista “Sky & Telescope”.

Pessoalmente, adoro histórias sobre o fim do mundo desde que comecei a consumir ficção científica, quando era uma criança sem afeto. Fazer o público se borrar nas calças é o grande lance, desde que Orson Welles transmitiu a “Guerra dos Mundos”, uma notícia falsa sobre uma invasão de marcianos em Nova Jersey, em 1938.

No entanto, essa tendência tem ido longe demais, disse David Morrison, astrônomo do Ames Research Center da NASA, em Moffett Field, Califórnia. Ele é autor do vídeo no YouTube refutando a catástrofe e um dos principais pontos de contato da agência sobre a questão das profecias maias prevendo o fim dos dias.

“Fico com raiva de ver como as pessoas estão sendo manipuladas e aterrorizadas para alguém ganhar dinheiro”, disse Morrison. “Não há direito ético que permita assustar crianças para ganhar dinheiro”.

Desesperados

Morrison afirmou receber cerca de 20 cartas e mensagens de e-mail por dia de pessoas até da Índia, assustadas até o último fio de cabelo. Em uma mensagem de e-mail, ele anexou exemplos que incluíam uma mulher perguntando se deveria se suicidar, matar sua filha e seu bebê ainda no útero. Outra mensagem veio de uma pessoa questionando se deveria sacrificar seu cachorro, a fim de evitar o sofrimento de 2012.

Tudo isso me fez lembrar os tipos de cartas que recebi no ano passado sobre o suposto buraco negro do Cern. Isso também era mais ficção científica do que fato científico, mas aparentemente não há nada melhor que a morte para nos aproximar de domínios abstratos como física e astronomia. Nessas situações, quando a Terra ou o Universo não estão nem aí para você e seus entes queridos, o cósmico realmente se torna algo pessoal.

Morrison disse não culpar o filme por todo o burburinho, não tanto quanto os vários outros divulgadores das previsões maias e a aparente incapacidade de algumas pessoas (e isso se reflete em vários aspectos da nossa vida nacional) de distinguir a realidade da ficção. Porém, ele disse, “meu doutorado foi em astronomia, não em psicologia”.

Em mensagens de e-mail, Krupp disse: “Sempre estamos incertos em relação ao futuro, e sempre consumimos representações dele. Somos seduzidos pelo romantismo do passado longínquo e pela escala exótica do cosmo. Quando tudo isso se junta, ficamos hipnotizados”.

O porta-voz da Nasa, Dwayne Brown, afirmou que a agência não faz comentários sobre filmes, deixando essa tarefa para os críticos de cinema. No entanto, quando se trata de ciência, disse Brown, “achamos que seria prudente oferecer um recurso”.

Aquecimento global

Se você quer ter algo para se preocupar, afirma a maioria dos cientistas, deve refletir sobre as mudanças climáticas globais, asteróides ou guerra nuclear. Porém, se a especulação sobre as antigas profecias mexem com você, aqui estão algumas coisas, segundo Morrison e outros, que você deve saber.

Para começar, os astrônomos concordam que não há nada especial em relação ao alinhamento do Sol e do centro galáctico. Isso ocorre todo mês de dezembro, sem nenhuma consequência física além do consumo exagerado de panetones. De qualquer forma, o Sol e o centro galáctico não vão exatamente coincidir, nem mesmo em 2012.

Se houvesse outro planeta lá fora vindo em nossa direção, todo mundo já teria percebido. Quanto às violentas tempestades solares, o próximo auge do ciclo das manchas solares só ocorrerá em 2013, e será no nível mais suave, afirmam astrônomos.

O apocalipse geológico é uma aposta melhor. Já houve grandes terremotos na Califórnia, e provavelmente haverá outros. Esses tremores poderiam destruir Los Angeles, como mostrou o filme, e Yellowstone poderia entrar em erupção novamente com uma força cataclísmica, mais cedo ou mais tarde.

Nós e nossas obras somos, de fato, apenas passageiros frágeis e temporários na Terra. Porém, neste caso, “mais cedo ou mais tarde” significa centenas de milhões de anos –e haveria bastante aviso quando chegasse a hora.

Os maias, que eram astrônomos e cronometristas bons o suficiente para prever a posição de Vênus 500 anos no futuro, merecem coisa melhor.

Something that I sometimes wonder about in relation to this study is the idea of destiny. The reason that anyone studies this particular unconfirmed field is to try to get a heads up  on a future which is already dead certain. What I mean by this is that somehow, there is a destiny which is already fact and that although our lives are only in the making, although our lives are incomplete and lacking at the moment, the idea that there is something definite in the future is tantalising and promising.

But, no matter how much I study, I will never fully “know” the future. I will never understand that I might be different at some future time, just as I had been different in the past. The scope of emotion that I have experienced in life, I would never have dreamed of in childhood. As a child there was no worry, no sadness, no disappointment, but those things came just as they come to all.

A chart though contains more potential than what is lived at the moment in which one looks at it. This is part of the reason for study. It´s the fact that you can find things that you would have never before dreamed of. There is more potential than what you are able to garner in one look. What is there in this life that is worth living for? What is there in the chart which makes this life worth living for? In part it requires you to remain open and unconscious about the possibilities, but in a like manner, cautious about the possible dangers. For there is the same possibility for harshness as there is for joy.

In some ways the stars appear to look a little like Heaven. According to the ancient Greeks, Heaven and Hell were in fact one place, and your life in the afterlife could be pleasant or it could be nasty, (carrying a large rock which always roles back, or carrying water with a sieve), depending on actions and deeds on Earth.

Let´s say though, for argument´s sake that there is no real afterlife, that for all purposes, this is the only life that we get. In this case, the Heavens are a kind of reflection of what´s going on down here. Only studying the paths of the demigods, (the planets) may give us clues as to the paths that we ourselves are likely to take. Heaven obviously does continue, and according to the ancient tradition, the gods, (though I don´t deny a prime mover), the gods as represented by the planets are in fact jealous of our mortality, because it makes our lives so much the more precious.

Our lives really are precious, in the case that there is only one life. But, what say, if your life is more like a tragedy? There is no chance at a replay. This is where I get stuck. This is where I find I can´t escape despite my best efforts. In one sense, it should then be our duty to have some faith, that all will eventually work out the way it ought to. Perhaps the fact that it is impossible to know all that a life contains from the start is another small aid in getting through the tough times.

What kind of life is rewarded? What kind of attitude is given happiness? The rewards that come to those that are of the nature of Mars are immediate, they are probably pleasurable and exciting, but they are gone just as fast, and the down side is that of danger. The rewards in life that come to those of the nature of Saturn or Venus will probably not be apparent at the beginning, it looks grim or shoddy, or inadequate, but it probably lasts right until the very end. With this view in mind it does not profit us to look at what other people get in life and compare notes or even try and garner what might be your own fate through similarity of planetary force.

Jupiter trine Venus persons might be incredibly lucky, they might have a permanent party, all of the friends they could wish for etc. etc. and this is cause of much misery for the Venus-Saturn person who must sit next door listening to other people having fun while contemplating the reasons for not being popular, for being a social reject. Bu perhaps in ten years time Saturn-Venus will have someone love them solidly, and permanently and despite all imperfection, while Jupiter is on the next empty and soulless relationship based on appearance and excess.

What does destiny say about the life as a whole rather than the life as viewed from the perspective of someone only interested in the “now”? IT is said that “God created Heaven and Earth.” In heaven we see the stars and planets, which in my opinion are what the ancients believed to be gods, and which in a sense are in fact forms of higher power, demigods perhaps. The final word though, the final word is that if there is a singular thought that runs through everything, then there can´t truly be anything that is bad, or rather there can´t be anything that isn´t pre-destined, or part of the plan and therefor it cannot be bad.

What is the meaning of the suffering that I go through now? Or that I went through two years ago? According to the stars it changed my attitudes in certain ways by being a transit to my third ruler. What was the meanin of that mental suffering? In one sense it was a stretching of the mental muscles. And it is a well known fact that muscles do not grow unless they are trained through the strenuous if not at times painful exercise. “No pain no gain…” A lot of people interested in the stars look at a transit and are glad that it´s over once it´s over and consider it as one would consider a tragic act of random fortune. I´ve stipulated here that there is no random act of fortune, because the stars are put there by God, whoever he may be, benevolent or not.

So what does this have to do with anything? It´s the idea of destiny, the idea of suffering the pains of life by “being good” in order to reap the rewards in the “afterlife” or more to my taste, the life which we haven´t yet lived, but which is definitely projectionable and visible on the horizon. To suffer loneliness will create the appreciation for company, not just the appreciation, but the desire and the need for partnership. To suffer stupidity or to suffer powerlessness will give rise to talent, to adaptability. The idea is not that the FATE of our lives is random, cruel and unprecedented, but that because it comes from one  mind, that there is reason behind the current suffering in whatever from it may take.

The things that are most lacked will be the things that are most compensated. It seems that humanity tilts itself in the opposite direction from where it is, whether it is instant or whether it takes years. It´s the idea that everything is not realised that is important to keep in mind. It´s what we don´t have now, and ask for and pray for that may be ours tomorrow or later on in the future. One of the steps towards this materialization is that of imagination, of thinking and creating a blueprint of what it is that you want to create. Persistence pays, this is why Saturn is associated with achievement, with things that last, with a very moderate amount of happiness each day for the rest of your life.

This dialogue isn´t finished yet, because the full extent of it´s possible realisation isn´t apparent and because the mind that has written it isn´t satisfied with the philosophical clarity which it is meant, or designed to bring. Part of it is a reason in order to have faith that the present time is how it is meant to be as a foundation for greater future things. Part of it is a reconciliation with the apparent seeming randomness of life. There is nothing random, and it is difficult to believe this. When as individuals we strive and struggle, it is impossible to think that those struggles are in fact destined in the same way that other things in life appear to be destined. When you feel pain, you do not accept that the pain is in fact part of the plan. Pain is inconceivable to be part of some divine plan, it´s practically incomprehensible. Though, as an argument it might be said that the birthpains of a mother make her realise that a child is serious business, and the pain is part of the reason for the protection she eventually gives.

Thunderbolts are go!

Today I would like to look in some detail at the various dynamics of the relating planets – Venus and Mars – in their applications to Neptune. Whilst not nearly as abrasively uncomfortable as Venus and Mars to Pluto connections, this blend does create its own unique difficulty and with understanding, there is certainly enormous potential for progress.

I could of course talk in the abstract about these energies, but it would be better in my view to use the example of Venus Williams, the American tennis sensation who has won, with her sister, every major title and honour in the sport. Let us begin by looking at her chart for reference:

Venus Williams: 17 June 1980, 14:12 (+7:00) Lynwood CA, USA

Of course, what can be seen right away is the enormous number of correlations to her sister Serena: here are just a few:

• Vesta (at one level, the sister) is on the Aries Point, thus public projection and prominence are the result in relation to the female sibling.
• The only real connection that Vesta makes though – at a subjective level – is its conjunction to Sun, thus the father is the common ground, and pretty much the only common ground.
• The asteroid Isis (42) is exactly conjunct the Midheaven: a career configured with a sibling, (Isis also relates to sibling relationships), and with the sign Cancer there is tenacity and loyalty here, but crucially, the conjunction is squared by Icarus (1566), and this is a square from Isis to Icarus of only 7 minutes of arc, so there is astonishing adrenaline-producing tension between them; a big part of her drive to the top is based upon her need to beat her sister, to be faster, better, in Icarus’ terms, to fly higher!
• Mercury is at the apex of a tee-square from Pluto opposition Pallas. If we take Mercury to signify sibling relationships, what we have here is in fact sibling rivalry, Pallas speaks of behaviours and strategies that are developed to please others, and learned (most especially in a female nativity) through the daughter role; thus pleasing father is the key. Imagine how that feels when opposed by Pluto; it’s not going to be comfortable; there’s a real desperate, gun-to-the-head quality at work here, must be what father wants, and that tension gets channelled into Mercury, into the sibling dynamic. Note how Pluto is ruled by Venus and Pallas by Mars, and these planets are square to each other and both in hard aspect to Neptune, there’s essentially a competition here based on a need to be more attractive than the sibling, to be more lovable, to be preferable to father. This is echoed by a conjunction of the asteroid Lilith (1181) to Pluto, selection or favouritism, being the chosen one is a life or death issue.

The ultimate sibling rivalry, Venus as runner-up...

Now let’s consider, in this context, the tee-square of Mars, Venus and Neptune. Mars is the focus of the tee-square from Venus opposition Neptune and is therefore squared by both and importantly ruled by Mercury, echoing the key motivator in the pattern, being more attractive to father than the sibling. Confusing messages about sexuality would have begun here, love would have begun to unravel as a concept, and very early on this would have been a feature of the family dynamic. All the groundwork for later psychological imprints is done between the ages of 3 and 5 when the hard aspects of Mars to Venus/Neptune and Pluto to Pallas are perfected by Solar Arc, these early childhood years are formative in terms of the sibling dynamic and an awareness of what it means to compete for and win father’s attention begins to make itself felt. In any case, Neptune configured with the Venus-Mars square is profoundly significant, and this is the timing that we can isolate through Solar Arc measurement. We can project these timings forward and look for applications to angles to determine major transition points in relation to these early dynamics. We note the following:

Lifetime Solar Arc directions to As/Mc

1999 was Venus’ breakthrough year, and it marked a period when both herself and her sister Serena were in the zenith of their sport, Venus was ranked in the world’s top 3 for the first time and she faced her sister in a major final for the first time too. The sibling rivalry dynamic was lit up by the Sun’s presence at the zenith of the chart, and with Sun in Gemini, ruling Mercury therefore, it was inevitable that her sister would be configured.

Moving ahead to 2003, the Venusian quality is illuminated by the Arc to the Midheaven. The date here is 5th August and exactly 40 days later, her sister Yetunde Price was murdered by mistake (Venus is opposed to Neptune) in a drug-related drive-by shooting (squared to Mars which is profoundly conjunct Zeus, which rules firearms) near the tennis courts where the sisters used to practise when younger. Note too that Yetunde was a half-sister, and half-siblings are very often a feature of hard Mercury-Pluto contacts. 2004 was inevitably a hard year, Venus lost much of her previous form and struggled to make her usual impact in part because of a persistent abdominal injury which first troubled her at the time of her sister’s shooting. Note then that Mars (violence) conjunct Zeus (firearms) falls at 17 Virgo, the degree that corresponds to the abdominal muscles.

What we glean from the general tone and dynamic of the nativity is that this tee-square is profoundly powerful, most especially when it is activated by Solar Arc in this way. Let us try to understand the energy at work here, because these planetary relationships do manifest in very specific ways. When we understand and recognise these patterns we begin to be released from their unconscious directives.

The theory of tee-squares is very simple. The opposition creates a pattern of dissatisfaction, inability to find peace because of contrary drives, and the tension this creates is expressed through the apex planet; it fuels the apex point, and in the nature of the square aspect is a tense, driven, challenging and experientially uncomfortable force; it is the channel through which the internal tension is cathartised. Thus, when we understand the opposition, we can begin to speculate as to the motive force behind the external expression of drive.

So, Venus opposition Neptune. We can tell right away that there is a problem balancing (opposition) the themes of love (Venus) and reality (Neptune); in a nutshell it describes a condition whereby the experience of love never quite matches up to the ideal. There is a longing and a yearning – at a very deep level – for perfect romantic union, and the usual pattern for the individual with this aspect is to fall in love very quickly, and for a time everything is perfect, wonderful, a transport of the most exalted kind; the new partner is delightful in every way, it is a rapture, a deep and rapturous soul-union and all is well with the world. Neptune creates enormously high expectations, indeed, it creates impossible expectations, and this is the mechanism by which the innate spirituality of the planet is awakened, regardless of what planets it contacts. The expectations of impersonal Neptune are designed to be so perfect that they have to be beyond the reach of any mere mortal being, so the inevitable conclusion is disappointment (another profoundly Neptunian theme), and with time and repeated episodes of disillusionment in relation to the contacting archetype (in this case Venus, thus romantic disappointment), the transcending process is awakened. The soul learns that no other human can fulfill the dreamy expectations of Neptune, so the love nature begins to focus on transcendent objects of love, the divine, the spiritual, a love of humanity; impersonal love is awakened, the soul begins to focus on spiritual rather than personal desires and themes. Neptune uses divine discontent to fuel the journey toward transcendence.

Mundanely, the pattern is nearly always identical; I call this the ‘One Who Got Away’ Syndrome. Usually, there was a figure from the past with whom the individual didn’t quite consummate a relationship. There may have been a brief fling, or even no fling at all, just a desire for one, but crucially, the relationship never progressed beyond the first rapturous days and weeks of divine contentment. The relationship may have lasted long enough to have been in some way meaningful, but never so long for the mundane and unpleasant realities to impinge upon Neptune’s awareness. The personal hygiene issues and tendency to be a real grump on Monday mornings never quite registered, so the relationship still holds the promise of perfection, even after it is over. Often the reason that the relationship ended is considered to be in some way tragic, as befits Neptune, perhaps they were forced apart by external circumstances and loss and sorrow are bound up in the story, but crucially, it is important to recognise that had the relationship managed to progress, then it would inevitably have fallen into the disappointment trap: because that is what Neptune does.

Now we should consider in this exact context the fact that Mars also squares Neptune. You can put this together yourself, because as the other major component of relationship, Mars concerns itself with sexual (as opposed to romantic) love and this then is also pushed to be the focus of the Neptunian disappointment trap. Typically, Mars – Neptune has very vivid sexual fantasizes that – again – cannot be satisfied by mundane reality and so sex becomes a disappointment too. The wish is to be transported into a state of sexual Nirvana, but it cannot happen, the woman with this aspect especially tends to project it onto the man in her life, his sexual performance doesn’t therefore match up: it is always disappointing. The man is of course perfectly aware of this (albeit at an unconscious level) and this is why he often takes refuge from the self-doubt that is engendered by the projection in Neptunian themes, alcohol, drugs, pornography and illicit affairs. Deception becomes a key component of the projected dynamic. It is astoundingly common for Mars – Neptune women to discover that their husband has been having an affair behind their back, often for many years! The dynamic is quite compelling, knowing (deep-down) that he can never satisfy his wife’s sexual needs, he protects himself from emasculation and ego-collapse by finding somebody whose sexual needs he can satisfy. He is not ostensibly being unfaithful even, or at least that was never his objective, it is invariably an act of self-defence (although understandably it is extremely difficult for the deceived partner to see it this way).

Finally, Venus squares Mars, and here there is no transcendent conundrum, this is simply an inability to reconcile love and sex, the two feel uncomfortable because there is a competition dynamic at play where love is concerned. Love (Venus) becomes confused with winning (Mars), indeed, all Venusian themes are given dynamic tension through the competitive, physical, go-getting drive of Mars. This dynamic again plays out in Venus Williams’ nativity: with Venus in Gemini (siblings), there is a competitive edge to the need to be loved. Competing for love, might be the watchword of this aspect, and remember that this square rule the Pallas-Pluto/Lilith opposition, which says “if I’m not father’s favourite, then I’ll die”. It was her father who pushed the sister’s to become tennis players and his ruthless determination that they be the best that has provided much of the energy for their astonishing rise to prominence.

There is so much more of interest here (if I had the time I’d write it all out), but suffice to say:

• Consider how the tee-square expresses. Mars is in Virgo, so power is combined with precision. Ed Moses had Cazimi Venus conjunct Mars in Virgo, perfect precision of movement, economy of movement, here force is applied with skill.
• Then Mars is in an absolutely partile conjunction (10 minutes!) with Zeus, the Transneptunian associated with firearms and sports! (Archie Griffin has a Cazimi Zeus!) Zeus threw thunderbolts right? Venus Williams has the fastest serve in women’s tennis:

She also holds the record for fastest serve in all four Grand Slam tournaments: 2003 Australian Open quarterfinal – 125 mph (201 km/h), 2007 French Open second round, 2008 Wimbledon final, 2007 US Open first round – 129 mph.At Wimbledon in 2008, her average first serve speed was 115 mph (185 km/h) in the quarterfinal, 116 mph (187 km/h) in the semifinal, and 111 mph (179 km/h) in the final. She also had a higher average serving speed than then World No.1 Roger Federer as well as eventual men’s champion Rafael Nadal.

• Mars is at the halfsum of Uranus and the Midheaven, so unusual authority, career individuation is realised through precision and power (and throwing thunderbolts).
• Venus’ boyfriend Hank Kuehne has (wait for it) Zeus conjunct Sun, with Sun at 18° of Virgo, mere minutes from Venus’ Mars/Zeus conjunction. It’s impossible without knowing his birth time to say how exact this might be, certainly it’s within a few minutes at most. That’s one relationship that was certainly written in the stars!

I m a taurus and this is a version of drawing I did with a Mandala behind it..the original drawing of the female was done with a micron (love them) on canson tracing paper..there were over 20 versions until I finally got her….it has been cleaned up digitally and color has been added digitally but for the shirt it looks much better in one color with just the outline..It keeps it classy.

Mars
I hope Mars does not have native life forms, or someone will surely set up a campaign to preserve it against human intrusion.
There are four problems with Mars as a new Earth:
a) It’s small size means that it has a low escape velocity, which allows too much of its atmosphere to evaporate into Space.
b) It’s core is cold, suggesting it has little naturally occuring fissionable fuels.
c) It doesn’t have much water
d) It is far from the Sun and therefore cold.

We can rectify (a) and (c) by travelling farther out to the asteroid belt and see about shoving some of these into Mars’s Gravity well.
Many of the asteroids are made of ice, which would add to the mass of the planet, as well warm it up by impact.
Rather than using rockets to move the asteroids, it may be possible to use solar sails to catch the solar wind. Creating such sails might be possible using the low pressure in Space, with materials, such as polyurethane foam, which would expand freely.
All of the above is qualitative in nature and a quantitative analysis might deem it impractible, at present. However, If the Earth were to undergo some cataclysm, the proverb about eggs and baskets would make that Math redundant.
Venus
Venus has a reverse of the Martian problem.
 Its mass, dense atmosphere and Solar proximity make it unsuitable for most Teresstrial life. The use of the word “most” is the key to possible, although tenuous, hope that we could Terra form Venus.
Earth has microbes and animals, which feed off them, in its mid-ocean fumaroles and in Iceland’s hot springs. The microbes survive in very hot water, heavy in sulphides. Venus has an atmosphere, which is largely clouds of Hot Sulphuric Acid.
I am far from qualified to judge on whether, or not, it would be possible to bio-engineer, or adapt such organisms to live in the atmosphere of Venus, possibly with the addition of Green algae to work on the Carbon Dioxide.
If it were possible, then we could convert the atmosphere of Venus into an Earth-like atmosphere and cause a reverse of the Greenhouse effect, leading to a cooling of the planet.

Have you ever had the urge to spontaneously book a flight to a foreign country that you’ve  always wanted to explore?  Run off on a romantic interlude with your romantic partner to an exotic destination? La Tierra. La Diosa Madre. Surgió tras el Caos, y concebió por sí misma a Urano con quien tendría dieciocho hijos. Ella fue la fundadora de los posteriores Dioses del Olimpo.

Urano

Es el principal dios del cielo. Hijo y esposo de Gea con quien tuvo dieciocho hijos. Cuenta el mito que no los quería, por eso encerró a los más jóvenes en las profundidades y la oscuridad. Cronos, el más pequeño, le cortó los genitales como venganza.

Rea

Hija de Gea y Urano. Hermana y esposa de Cronos. Madre de los principales Dioses del Olimpo (Hades, Hestia, Poseidón, Hera, Deméter y Zeus). Fuertemente asociada a la diosa Cibeles, se la representaba montada en un carro tirado por leones. Se le rinde culto para pedir ayuda en los partos.

Cronos /Saturno

Hijo de Gea y Urano. Hermano y esposo de Rea. Padre de los Dioses del Olimpo. Cuando el oráculo le advirtió de que uno de sus hijos le destronaría, comenzó a comerselos. Se los comió a todos excepto a Zeus que logró salvarse gracias a Rea. Éste logró arrebatarle el poder y convertirse en el rey de los dioses. Fue considerado el protector de las cosechas y se le representaba con una hoz.

Zeus/Júpiter

Rey de dioses y mortales. Gobierna todo el Olimpo. Es el dios de los fenómenos atmosféricos y sus atributos son el rayo, el águila, el toro y el roble. Era hermano y esposo de Hera con quien tuvo tres hijos: Ares, Hebe y Hefesto (otros dicen que fue Ilitía). Pero tuvo más hijos con otras diosas y mortales.

Hera/Juno

Hermana y esposa de Zeus. Su principal labor era presidir los nacimientos y las bodas. Sus atributos son la vaca, el pavo real y el león. Se la representa con corona, símbolo de las grandes diosas, y una granada en la mano, símbolo de la fertilidad. Se la conocía como una diosa celosa y vengativa con las diosas y mortales con las que Zeus la engañaba.

 Hades/ Plutón

Dios del inframundo y de los muertos. Considerado como el invisible gracias a un casco que porta, reinaba sobre los muertos con la ayuda de los demonios que controlaba. El mito cuenta que vive en el inframundo con Perséfone, hija de Zeus y Deméter, a quién raptó y convirtió en reina. Era un dios temido y muy respetado, y aunque se creía que era cruel y malvado, en realidad era un dios bastante pasivo y justo.

Hestia/Vesta

Diosa del fuego que calienta y da vida a los hogares. Prometió a Zeus que permanecería virgen y este le relegó cuidar los hogares y de las familias, por eso apenas sale del Olimpo y se mantiene alejada de las disputas entre dioses y mortales.

Poseidón/Neptuno

Dios del mar y los terremotos. Cuando estaba tranquilo mantenía el mar en clama y protegía las islas de las fuertes mareas, pero cuando se enfadaba golpeaba el fondo del mar con su tridente y provocaba terremotos, hundimientos y naufragios. Los navegantes le dedicaban sus oraciones antes de zarpar. Era esposo de la ninfa Anfítrite y con ella tuvo muchos hijos, la mayoría héroes.

Deméter/Ceres

Diosa de la agricultura, protectora del matrimonio y las leyes sagradas. Controla las estaciones del año. Fruto de su relación con Zeus nació Perséfone, que fue raptada por Hades. La diosa decidió paralizar la vida de la Tierra mientras la buscaba hasta que Zeus intervino. Se decidió que Perséfone pasaría seis meses con Hades y otros seis con su madre. Por eso cuando Perséfone esta en la Tierra, ésta es fértil y los campos florecen; y cuando está con Hades los campos se secan.

Atenea/Minerva

Diosa de la sabiduría y la guerra justa. Fue considerada el principal apoyo de los héroes. Era la protectora de la ciudad de Atenas. No se le conoce ningún amante y por eso se la consideraba una diosa virgen. Nació de la cabeza de Zeus cuando éste engulló a Metis mientras estaba embarazada. Sus símbolos son el olivo y la lechuza y se la representa armada con su égida y su armadura. Es una diosa guerrera que participó en varias batallas clásicas como la guerra de Troya.

Apolo/Febo

Hijo de Zeus y Leto y hermano gemelo de Ártemis. Es el dios del sol y la belleza humana. Considerado un dios apuesto tuvo muchos amantes, pero a quien realmente quería era a Dafne, una ninfa a quien su padre transformó en laurel. Por eso, el símbolo de este dios es precisamente el laurel; además de otros como el delfín o el cuervo.

Ártemis/Diana

Hija de Zeus y Leto y hermana gemela de Apolo. Se mueve por los bosques y parajes salvajes en donde caza junto con sus ninfas. Es una diosa vírgen, cruel y muy vengativa, aunque atractiva y de aspecto muy femenino. Dice el mito que el cazador Acteón la vio desnuda mientras se bañaba y ésta lo transformó en ciervo. También se dice que castigaba a todos aquellos mortales que la olvidaban en sus cultos, o cuando ésta les ordenaba algo y no lo cumplían. Se la representa cazando rodeada de animales salvajes.

Ares/Marte

Hijo de Zeus y Hera. Es el dios de la guerra y, como tal, disfrutaba de las matanzas y el derramamiento de sangre. Todos los demás dioses le odiaban excepto su amante Afrodita y su tío Hades, porque enviaba al inframundo a los guerreros jóvenes que mataba. Aunque era un dios guerrero, en ocasiones era humillado en combate por otros dioses. Sus símbolos son el perro y el buitre y se le representa armado de pie o en un carro tirado por corceles.

Afrodita/Venus

La diosa del amor y la belleza femenina nació de la espuma que generaron los genitales de su padre Urano cuando fueron arrojados al mar. Siempre llevaba un cinturón bordado que provocaba un amor irresistible y por eso era envidiada por las demás diosas. Estaba casada con Hefesto, pero le era infiel con dioses y mortales, entre ellos Adonis y Ares. Se la suele representar con corona y vestidos provocativos, aunque es más común representarla desnuda.

Hefesto/Vulcano

Dios del fuego y los metales. También es dios de los volcanes. Se dedica, desde su fragua, a fabricar armas para dioses y héroes y regalos para las diosas. Es hijo de Hera, aunque no está tan claro si también lo es de Zeus. Hay varias versiones sobre su infancia, pero todas coinciden en que fue arrojado al mar y se quedó cojo. Aunque era feo se casó con Afrodita quien le fue infiel con Ares. Éste confesó todo al sufrido marido, lo que le provocó un enorme enfado. Por eso un día, diseñó una red y la colocó en la cama de los amantes. Cuando estos se tumbaron quedaron enredados y Hefesto, para vengarse, llamó a todos los dioses del Olimpo para que los mirasen.

Hermes/Mercurio

El mensajero de los dioses era el protector de comerciantes, ladrones y tramposos porque era embustero y habilidoso. Además de ser mensajero, ayudaba a las almas a llegar al inframundo de Hades. Era hijo de Zeus y de Maya y se le representa llevando un casco con una pluma, símbolo de los viajeros, o un gorro alado. También lleva zapatillas aladas y una vara mágica. En los relatos clásicos se cuenta que apoyó a los griegos en la guerra de Troya, y que ayudó a Ulises a escapar de la isla de Calipso.

Dioniso/BacoLíber

Dios del vino, de la locura y del éxtasis. Era hojo de Zeus y de Sémele. Su misión como dios era hacer que todo el mundo olvidase sus penas, y la mayoría de las veces lo conseguía bebiendo y montando orgías. Sus principales simbolos son el vino, la serpiente, el toro y la hiedra. Las llamadas Bacanales, eran las fiestas donde se le rendía culto y se realizaban actividades contrarias a todo tipo de ley, por eso se prohibieron. En Roma estaba identificado con el antiguo dios itálico Líber Pater.

Eros/Cupido

Dios de la atracción sexual, el amor y el sexo. Su equivalente romano era Cupido, también llamado Amor. Es representado con aspecto de niño y con alas, aunque éstas no siempre aparecen. Su procedencia no está del todo clara: unos dicen que nació del Caos; otros, que era hijo de Hermes y Afrodita. Los poetas lo reflejan como un dios que, aunque con aspecto infantil, es capaz de producir profundas heridas con sus flechas. Cuentan que Apolo se burló de su capacidad como arquero y en venganza hizo que se enamorara perdídamente de Dafne.

1. VENUS – I would change the name to “ Love Spell” or “Secret Potion” It smells sultry, a true tuberose scent, but it resembles Carnal Flower Frederic Malle – I would blend it with something soft – maybe, a speica kind of musk- not the typical one like white musk – but a dark musk

2. Tobacco Rum and Honey is very innovative. I would remove the tobacco altogether – just call it Rum and Honey( perfect unisex scent – great for fall and winter)

3. 3rd – no name – I would call it(Magical Kitchen) – this is a perfect blend!

“Venus has the potential of making it as a top seller scent in the niche world, but an element needs to be added making it more naughty, carnal – you know what I mean? One has to think of the provocation of a sexual conquest – I owned both scents – serge lutens tuberose and the Frederic malle – if you get a chance, get samples of both of them and then compare them with your Venus…

“Yes, as for the tobacco perfume — it is the rum and honey that makes this blend so unique, depending on one’s body chemistry though – this scent can go either way, but one me, it was great!
I tried 11 minutes and O Aquimista – my husband loves both scents! He finds them truly original! On me, it’s too masculine. My fav is Alice in Wonderland – guess, it’s the little girl in me!”
