Earlier this year (right at the beginning, in fact), we brought news that the Video Electronics Standard Association (VESA) might potentially make the Mini DisplayPort standard, meaning that manufacturers outside of Apple (s aapl) can now use it in their products without Apple’s approval, including rival computer makers, among others.

The Mini DisplayPort (mDP) standard is described as a smaller form factor of the DisplayPort connector itself. The smaller connector is aimed at devices like thin portable computes and add-in cards that need to support multiple display interfaces. Hopefully, display and display accessory makers will adopt the standard, reducing the need to purchase expensive Apple-branded adapters.

The new mDP is for Version 1, Revision 1a of the standard, though DisplayPort 1.2 including mDP is in the works, which will double the available bandwidth of the cable tech to 21.6 Gb/second. That would mean that multi-monitor support via a single cable would be feasible, as well as higher resolutions and improved color depth and refresh rates. 3-D displays necessary for demanding graphical applications could also be supported with the new version of the standard.

As a result of this new standard creation by VESA, we could see a flood of mDP-toting computing devices, or we could see very little change at all. As with FireWire, many computer makers might opt to skip mDP or DP in favor of more established technologies like DVI and VGA, since they are more widely available and don’t necessitate a change to manufacturing processes. The one thing mDP has going for it is its size, and makers of MacBook Air competitors will probably be the first to bite, if anyone does.

The HD TV is a huge part of our everyday lives. So much so, in fact, that most of us cannot imagine our lives without it. A HD TV, like any other large household items, can cause sever injuries if not used properly. Children need to be warned of the possible dangers of these electrical appliances and should be taught to handle them with care. Many individuals who are enthusiastic about their television sets often dismiss and ignore the necessary instructions for how to properly secure these appliances.  Television sets have become relatively unstable as they are increasing in shape and size. Injuries due to falling televisions, mainly to children, are happening frequently these days. Such incidents can cause severe long term damage through head and facial injuries.

Thousands of children under the age of 5 are injured by accidents caused by television tip overs every year. A report from the Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital states that each year almost 15, 000 children are taken to the emergency room because of such injuries.

As television sets constructed in bigger and bulkier styles, these accidents are likely to be very severe. Some of the long term injuries caused by a falling television include  fractures, hearing loss, Fractures to skull, damage to facial nerves and even blood clots in brain. About 3 percent of 264,200 children whose accident reports were examined from 1990 to 2007 by the Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the USA, were seriously injured. The injuries were so severe that the children had to be admitted into hospital with the majority of them suffering from neck and head injuries. About 300 of those children died.

Most of the brand new television sets available today are flat screens either Plasma or Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens. Flat screen televisions are particularly attractive because they can be mounted onto a wall. There is a wide variety of choice when it comes to positioning your flat screen TV. It is important to wall mount it rather than setting it onto an LCD stand. These stands are usually too light to secure the bulky LCD TV sets.

Mounting your flat panel TV onto a wall and using a secure TV Frame is a smart idea because young children who cannot understand the risk and danger involved with large objects falling over cannot reach them. Do keep in mind that, when mounting your TV onto a wall, you follow specific instructions and do it correctly. You don’t need to worry about creating unattractive holes in the wall because they can easily be covered up.

Very few of the TV tip over accidents reported every year actually have fatal consequences. hmmm, o iya tulisan ini gw post lewat laptop seorang teman, laptop gw ga bisa booting setelah gw update kernelnya ke 2.6.27-14.. Intuisi gw berkata ini masalah di grub nya… berhubung Ubuntu kurang cerdas mengurusi masalah menu di grub. secara otomatis ubuntu bakal nge-rewrite konfigurasi grub (menu.lst) dan nulis ulang daftar kernel yang kita punya. nah kalau kita ngupdate kernel rutin dari 2.6.27-7 sampai sekarang 2.6.27-14 berarti ada 14*2=28 menu yang bakal muncul di grub… nah berhubung grub punya gw di custom supaya bisa nampilin gambar Yuiko-chan . ni grub pasti menuhin vesa buffer nya sendirian… dan pas menu nya muncul, dia kehabisan memori buat ngehandle input dari keyboard… dan jadi lah laptop gw terpaku sambil tetap menunjukkan imutnya Yuiko ditambah sedikit mosaik berwarna-warni…

nah sekarang biar gw benerin dulu laptop gw..

Of course, being Apple, they couldn’t use it as is, and instead introduced the Mini DisplayPort version, which was more compact, and, sadly, would also require special adapters to be purchased by MacBook owners. Now version 1.2 of the standard is poised to bring some improvements that will likely make it more attractive to consumers and manufacturers alike.

One of those improvements is the possible standardization of the Mini DisplayPort form factor, which could be a definite boon for MacBook owners, since the market for adapters would become much more competitive. Apple currently offers a free license for the Mini DisplayPort standard, but it has the right to refuse this license to anyone for any reason. Were it to become an official standard supported by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), any manufacturer could use it, without Apple’s say so.

That’s not all that’s in store for the promising young standard. Version 1.2 should also bring twice the available bandwidth, allowing for 3840×2160 resolution on a single screeen, two at 2560×1600, or four at 1920×1200, and support for 3D video playback.

More bandwidth could also be used for USB support, allowing the DisplayPort connector alone to power and run displays with built-in cameras like the iSight, and with integrated USB hubs. That would mean that a monitor like the 24-inch LED Cinema Display wouldn’t require a separate USB cable connection.

Support for functions beyond display is a definite advantage, but, as MacUser points out, DisplayPort brings with it the built-in DRM that’s responsible for the HD playback woes of new MacBook owners. Broader use of the standard should expand the list of supported monitors, so this problem could be somewhat mitigated by the time revision 1.2 arrives.

Olin vetänyt kaatokännit ja en muistanut illasta mitään. Heräsin jostain ja vieressäni oli joku kohtuu hyvän näköinen naikkonen. Hyväilin häntä, mutta se ei tuntunut oikealta.
Onneksi se olikin vain unta ja heräsin vielä kauniimman naisen vierestä, jolle selitin hassun uneni ja samalla kyselin illasta, josta en muistanut mitään. Lopulta tämä johti aktiin. Tämäkään nainen ei tuntunut siltä oikealta.
Sitten taas heräsin ja huomasin, että “mitä ihmettä” olenkin unelmanaiseni/sielunkumppanini vieressä. Suutelimme ja hyväilimme lempeästi. Pelkkä suutelu ja hyväily oli parempaa, kuin aikaisemmat naiset yhteensä. Olimme siis lopulta onnellisesti yhdessä.

Sitten heräsin oikeasti, yksin! Voisin elää noista mitä tahansa elämää, mutta pelko on estänyt minua elämästä täysillä. Pelko on estänyt minua kertomasta tunteitani rakastamalleni naiselle/sielunkumppanilleni, joka kaikenlisäksi asuu samalla paikkakunnalla ja on sinkku.
