Well firstly I would like to apologise, due to work, alcohol and quiz based commitments I have not had a chance to post this week.  Not that it really matters however as nothing of note has really happened in the world of Chelsea, yes Ballack, Drogba, Lampard and a litany of others are injured but there has been little activity in the world of Chelsea.

The football news has been dominated by the Ireland/France play off in which France scored a goal with the aid of the hand of Henry, to be honest the Irish reaction has been farcical and whilst I never thought I would agree with Roy Keane the referee did not spot the infringement SO GET OVER IT!

The protests and politicians, celebrities and every man and his dog taking time to comment has been hilariously unnecessary (yes i am aware of the irony) so I am going to swiftly move on and discuss more important matters such as today’s game versus Wolves.

Chelsea returned to business in style today romping to victory against a Wolves team that would struggle to compete even if Chelsea had double the number of top players missing in a comfortable victory which temporarily allays fears at the impact of our placenta ridden injury list. Although I am sure that you know that comparing Wolves and Arsenal (our next opponents), is like comparing a Lada (Slow lumbering and prone to leaks) to an Alfa Romeo (fast elegant but notriously unreliable).

The most interesting part of the game however was the introduction of Gael Kakuta the player at the heart of the recent transfer ban saga. I am delighted that Ancelotti has taken to fielding the player not only does it aid his develop and stick two fingers up at FIFA, but it will do the young man’s confidence no end which can only be a positive for his future. As is standard when one of your own is under attack you get behind them and Gael Kakuta got a rousing ovation from the fans when replacing Anelka to make his debut.

Another Liverpool draw  (comedy value only) coupled with an Arsenal defeat mean that all in all Chelsea have had a fantastic day of Premier League business.

So let me finish by saying great result, great to see Kakuta, great day! OH AND F*%K YOU FIFA!

Saw this today, and I couldn’t help but laugh! Especially when I found out it was his own fault! A guy with a Bugatti Veyron, threw his car into a Lake after he swerved to avoid a Pelican that startled him while he was driving whilst on his mobile! Serves him right.

In what seems like an uncanny, unpossible chance of coincidence, there were some guys driving parallel to and videotaping the Bugatti when it crashed into the salty marsh.   From the video, it’s clear that the guys recognized the Veyron as being an exotic car, although they weren’t sure what kind it was.  As they were admiring the ulimate super car,  the Bugatti all of a sudden veers to the right and hits the drink!  The driver reported to the authorities that he swerved to miss a low-flying pelican, but I don’t see a pelican, do you?

But before we reserve judgment, lets review some freeze frames.  You can see there is a small white smudge in front of the Veyron, which could potentially be a Pelican.  However, the original report stated that the driver swerved to miss a low-flying Pelican… this smudge ain’t flying.  Even if the bird wasn’t flying, if a car came so close to it that the driver had to swerve to miss it, you would think that the bird would be startled enough to fly up in the air, at least a few feet, in an act of self preservation.  There are some strange details to the drivers story, but in a grassy-knoll kinda way, I’m not buying the idea that the white smudge is a pelican.

The sleuths over at AutoBlog did some digging around and discovered that the person driving the 16/4 was none other than Andy House, the owner-operator of Performance Auto Sales, the “leader in Exotic Salvage Restoration”.  So far, this doesn’t look good for Andy as it sounds like it was nothing more than a publicity stunt.  Although this notion is unconfirmed, but it is an unthinkable atrocity to crash an exotic car as rare as the Bugatti Veyron for some kind of business gain.  Sounds pretty bad, huh?

With 1001hp at its disposal and a price tag well into the millions of dollars, the Bugatti Veyron certainly demands attention wherever it goes.

Unfortunately for one Veyron owner in the United States, this meant his most disastrous moment was caught on tape as his hypercar plunged into two feet of saltwater.

Earlier reports stated that the driver was startled by a low-flying pelican whilst talking on his mobile phone, although this latest video shows the Veyron casually leaving the road without prior incident.

No doubt this new evidence of the events leading up to the crash will wreak havoc on his insurance claim, resulting in one very expensive public service announcement about the dangers of driving while using a mobile phone.

This is Bugatti the real deal coasting like $1.5 Millions I think.

after watching this video it just reminded me of those days of playing need for speed(1,2,3,4,pursuit).

Na quinta-feira mostramos um vídeo de um Bugatti Veyron avaliado em US$ 2,5 milhões (quase R$ 5 milhões) sendo retirado de um lago. Agora conseguimos as imagens do momento que o carro caiu no lago. Simplesmente imperdível. O dono, um texano identificado como Andy House,  havia dito que o acidente foi causado por um pelicano que cruzou a sua frente. Pura mentira.

Na imagem não há nenhum pássaro ou qualquer outro animal. O cara simplesmente se distraiu falando ao celular ou resolver tirar uma soneca. O pior da história é que o barbeiro é dono de uma oficina especializada em reparo de superesportivos para depois vendê-los! Daqui a alguns meses ele terá um Veyron a venda. Você compraria?

I saw a video recently which showed a Bugatti Veyron being fished out of a lake after it ran off the road and sank. Well, I was just on ZDistrict’s blog and saw that he has posted a new video which shows the actual crash. Looks sort of like a suicide attempt if you ask me!

UPDATE:

So apparently the driver of this car had claimed that he swerved around a bird or something and that’s how he ended up in the lake (or whatever it is); I personally didn’t see any proof of that. I think he put in this claim before realizing there was somebody who caught the whole thing on video. The reason I bring this up is because this driver is the owner of a performance car dealership, specializing in exotic cars. Could he have done this on purpose to claim insurance money? Why not, considering the Bugatti Veyron is probably the most expensive car on his lot. Oh well, innocent till proven guilty.

Thanks to an anonymous tipster we now have video. Those slow speed vacant straight aways can be so tricky in a car like a Veyron, accident waiting to happen man.

Yes, folks, you read that right. A passive-aggressive, pasty, teenage bloodsucker is the exact sort of person Volvo cars wants to be identified with.

With hair like that, you'd think he drove a convertible.

A vampire who’s not only so pathetic and filled with self-loathing that he refuses to consume human blood, but jerks around the girl who’s in love with him, breaking her heart and refusing to let either of them be happy. (Dude, if she wants to be a vampire, let her be a vampire! Especially since “being a vampire” is no different than “being Clark Kent on Smallville,” except your skin sparkles.)

You know who would make a great character for Volvo to hook their wagon to? Thor. Incredibly powerful, well-spoken, flowing hair, an enormous hammer capable of bringing down lightening or splitting through dimensions – and he’s Norwegian to boot. You think Eddie Cullen has as much Swedish heritage in his corrupted veins as The Mighty Thor does?

(And don’t give me that “Edward’s pale enough to be Swedish” shit, cause I ain’t buying it. He’s a vampire. If he was one bit Norwegian, he’d be living up there from October to March. I read 30 Days Of Night. I know how vampires think.)

There’s a Thor movie headed for theaters in 2011. Maybe Saab will be smart enough to snap up the sponsorship rights to that one. I can see it now: “My evil half-brother Loki has stolen Mjolnir, robbing me of my ability to fly! Quick – into that Saab 9-5! We might not catch him – but with a turbocharged engine, we’ve got half a chance!”

And on a completely unrelated note, here’s a quick video of a man in Texas driving his Bugatti Veyron into a lake. He claims he was startled by a “low-flying pelican.” Personally, I think he just heard Volvo wants to be identified with Twilight.

The story about how a low-flying pelican caused some jackass to crash his Bugatti Veyron into a Texas lake sounded like bullshit, and it turns out it is. Jalopnik has found a Facebook video of the actual event, and to quote from them, “there’s not a freaking pelican in sight.” I love how the guys filming think it’s a Lambo. Enjoy.

This happened just down the road from me in La Marque Texas. Apparently a real estate investor spent a little too much time talking on his cell phone and a little too little on actually driving his 2 million dollar automobile.

The driver said he was talking on his cell when a low-flying pelican “distracted” him and caused  him to swerve off the road and into a lagoon where the Veyron’s 16 cylinders and four turbo chargers sputtered to an abrupt halt as the sea water invaded the engine compartment and the car itself.

I’m SURE it was the pelican and not his cell phone use. I’m sure he was paying FULL attention to his driving and the road while having his conversation.

I’m just glad the dude didn’t swerve into another car, or a family, or a kid walking on the side of the road.

Next time you decide to drive and talk on your fu**&# cell phone think of this guy and what could happen. Maybe you won’t be driving a 2 million dollar car, but I wouldn’t want to sink my Mustang into a lagoon or another car or another person because I just HAD to find out how my sister’s cousin’s brother contracted VD, or whatever other ridiculous conversation you just HAD to have while driving down the road.

How on earth did we survive before cell phones without having meaningless conversations while driving down the road? Oh WAIT I remember!! We just fuc**##%% DROVE OUR CARS AND LEFT THE CHIT CHAT UNTIL WE GOT HOME!

My only regret in this story is I couldn’t have been there on the side of the shore lauging my ass off at this idiot and taking MORE pictures and possibly video!
