Modern Warfare 2 titles list, the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare is a showstopping game.

COD Modern Warfare Graphics are Impressive

This game is gorgeous; the graphics are a substantial leap over Call of Duty 4, with even the multiplayer visuals trumping the single player offering from last time around. The levels are filled with more detail and effects, while single player and multiplayer levels showcase a larger emphasis on height and terrain variation and the open environments themselves are beautiful.

Unfortunately as slick as the graphics are, the game does have some presentation issues, especially when it comes down to the single player story. A lot of people may be disappointed to learn that it’s short, and I mean really short. On regular difficulty I was able to beat it in just under five hours with an additional hardened play through taking just about six and a half.

As far as the campaign itself, I personally had a great time from start to finish, but the way that the game tells its tale does have quite a few problems. There are a ton of awesome actions scenes and classic moments. Sometimes it seems like Infinity Ward had a big list of ideas and then tried to make a story around them. You will see a lot of familiar faces, but the storyline will leave you a little lost. The Modern Warfare Titles List might help.

Single player may be short, but spec-ops is an awesome mode. They’re basically twenty-three stand alone missions that can be played in single player or co-op, though I definitely recommend finding a friend. Infinity Ward has also announced that new spec-ops missions are going to be available via DLC, so there’s a lot of potential for expansion in this mode.

Multiplayer is hands down the biggest part of this game. The multiplayer is more balanced and fun to play than it was in CoD4. There are way more unlockables and you’re constantly being rewarded for playing the game. You’ll find more weapons, a huge list of attachments and perks, and each perk now includes a new promo that acts as a secondary function once you unlock it.

When you take the game in its entirety, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the best first-person shooters out there. For those planning to check out everything Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has to offer – online competition, full co-op Spec Ops mode, as well as the campaign – you’re looking at a no-brainer purchase. However, for the strictly single player crowd, Modern Warfare 2 is surprisingly short, and doesn’t live up to the standard set by previous Call of Duty games. The campaign can be completed in as little as four and a half hours, and the missions make better scenarios and moment-to-moment adrenaline rushes than they do a cohesive, well-told story.

When told to perform sex acts, take off his mask, or do anything the Subservient Chicken considers offensive, the chicken walks up to the camera and shakes a scolding chicken finger in disappointment. When told to eat food from rival fast food chain McDonald’s, he approaches the camera and places his finger down his throat, when told to eat Burger King he has a more positive response. If he is told to ‘join PETA’, he performs the same action as when a ‘dizzy’ command is typed in. The chicken responds to the command “smoke” by smoking, but when told to “smoke a bong” he waggles his finger scoldingly. If told to “choke” he attempts to strangle himself. When commanded to do anything with the word “me” in it, he approaches the camera and looks at you, turning his head a few times. When told to take off his costume, the chicken shows that he is stuck inside his costume. If you tell him to “Go Vegan”. he approaches the camera and give you a thumbs down.

When “taco” is typed in he performs a dance with a lady in a red jumper who appears from besides the camera.)

This week’s Hot or Not is a music war between Cascada and Lady Gaga! Cascada has been getting a lot of beef for their song, “Evacuate the Dancefloor” which sounds similar to Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance”. I love them both for the record so I give them a tie, but watch both videos below (if you aren’t familiar with the songs) and let me know what you think!

In class we were talking about digital storytelling and what kinds of things are involved in creating and maintaining a digital story. Digital storytelling is interesting because you can use all different kinds of media when creating it.  Videos, text, pictures and audio are a few of the things that can be included in a digital story. When talking about digital stories there are two people involved in the process, the reporter and the editor/producer. Each of these positions play a vital role in the creation of a digital story.

I think digital storying telling is a better way of producing relevant news and coverage of almost anything.  It makes the story more interesting when there are different types of media being used. Digital storytelling might be a little more difficult that writing a story with pen and paper, but they are a lot more intriguing and keeps the attention of the reader on their feet and not knowing what to expect. I also think digital storytelling is more influential for people because people from all over the world can be exposed to your story. Your story isn’t only being read by the people you know or are close to you, it can be read and exposed to many different cultures around the world.

I found this on Godly Ladies in Training’s blog, and thought it was so thought-provoking I would post it here.  How much time do we waste by doing unimportant things instead of fulfilling the work God has given each of us to do?  After watching, please let me know your thoughts!

I have been making short videos since i was 13 years old. I saved up my money that i got from my paper round to buy a Mini DV camera and a computer with Pinnacle Studios. I started off using Windows Movie Maker however and ive just progressd from there. Here is a link to my Youtube account where i upload most of my videos.
