Do Bem é uma marca de sucos que nasceu do calor do Rio de Janeiro, e com muito sonho e dedicação para trazer sucos naturais em caixinhas de 500 ml para todos.

Sucos saudáveis de pura fruta e mais nada. Sem cozinha suja ou liquidificadores barulhentos (o antigo aparelho do fundador, comprado num site da internet, também foi aposentado). (texto retirado do site oficial)

Eles tem 4 tipos de sucos: laranja, limonada, suco misto de açai, morango, maça e guaraná e o suco misto de mamão, laranja, maça e banana.

Infelizmente, as vendas são só no Rio de Janeiro por enquanto. Mas boas ideias não ficam em um só lugar! Particularmente, estou louca para experimentar essa limonada!

Mas eu não vim fazer propaganda de graça não, eu vim contar a história da Do Bem por que eles fizeram stop motions para divulgar a marca – com muito bom gosto, criatividade e cores di-vi-nas, diga-se de passagem.

Achei interessante não só o uso das cores, e dos elementos “saudáveis” de uma alimentação, como os pequenos detalhes que mostram a marca: o post it com o site, o logo em alguns cantos. Tudo numa composição muito harmoniosa!

The Niceguys are currently working on their next short which is an ode to one of their favorite brands, Supreme. They’ve been shooting in various spots in Houston for the past week and the vid is set to drop next week.

Si les gustaron los videos y quieren salir en algunos de ellos, la forma de hacerlo es asistiendo a retro-raids y raids de 25. Los videos que se crearán son del estilo de AQ, la música puede ser recomendación de ustedes. Este fin de semana tenemos pensado hacer 2 raids retro: Mount Hyjal y Sunwell (esta última si es complidada, pero el video estoy 100% seguro que va a quedar genial).

Los requisitos para que se haga el video durante las raids son:
1.- Que no tenga lag. (Lag + la reducción de FPS por el Fraps es mortal).
2.- La asistencia de los miembros del guild.

Las tomas de todos los que asistan serán al finalizar el boss, como del estilo de AQ pero más organizada. Por lo pronto como música para el siguiente video ya tengo una recomendación que me dejaron en un post pasado.

Um dos primeiros sons que ouvi, quando coloquei os pés em Madrid não foi local, e sim de um grupo brasileiríssimo, do lado sul de São Paulo, estou falando de Racionais Mc´s, do também conhecidíssimo Capão Redondo, o que já elimina a possibilidade de que sua imaginação o leve para nomes óbvios, como Caetano Veloso, Vinícius de Moraes, ou algo do gênero.

Pelo menos quando o assunto é música os espanhóis deixam claro seu favoritismo pela música americana, ou que seja interpretado em inglês. É possível notar por quase todas as partes a presença. Na televisão não é diferente, como em muitos programas de auditório, reality shows, e destaques musicais citados por outros programas.

“El Chavo”.

Outro dia me impressionou uma música, ganhadora do concurso Puro Cuatro, na categoria ´novas tendências´, organizado pelo canal de televisão Cuatro, e fui atrás pra saber mais. Descobri que por trás daquele belíssimo som estava um produtor de Barcelona, chamado Joan Pedrosa, mas conhecido como “El Chavo”, que segundo seu perfil no Vimeo considera-se um “old school hip-hop producer”. Além de seus projeto solos, o cara faz parte do Debilorithmicos, um duo de produção.

Enfim, a canção que havia chamado minha atenção era “Solitude”, que conta com a participação da vocalista do Beatspoke, Sarah Gessler, ou Sarah G. (para os mais chegados), outro grupo de Barcelona. Sarah é dona de uma voz que não presenciava a tempos. O ritmo hip-hop/soul do grupo que representa é envolvente e consegue agradar até que não é amante da mistura.

River Lee burst its bank and destroys wall at Grenville Place.

As many of you probably know by now, Ireland has experienced some of the worst flooding in 20 years. Cork was absolutely inundated with water. Some places managed to see over a metre (~3.2 feet) of water. Right up the way off of Grenville Place and next to Mercy Hospital the River Lee burst its banks and destroyed a good portion of the protective wall. I hadn’t realised this until about 10am on Friday. But this had already happened before 7.30am (high tide). Some of my friends noted that flooding had began near Dykde Parade and Victoria Cross by 11.30pm on Thursday.

There have been many post-flooding problems: many properties were damaged, collapse of the road at Sundays Well Road and Grenville Place, and the main water plant was severely damaged leaving over 80,000 residents without water. We are lucky that we both escaped the flood on North Mall and that still have drinkable water. I have had plenty of friends who have left town for home for the week. UCC’s buildings (including my own Br Connolly complex) have been significantly damaged. Hundreds of computers have been lost, water damage to the floors, walls, and other furniture, and possibly worse. The Glucksman Art Gallery lost a lot of art in its basement vaults.

On Friday I walked around town with Stefanie and Tim to survey the damage. We found that we kept having divert down streets because there was just too much standing water to walk through without boots. But, even at 11am there were streets with feet of water. We thought we could get through St Francis’s Church and then out to the front to Cross Street or Court Street, but that didn’t work so well. We found 4 feet of water. Luckily, the parish is elevated 5 feet! We had to walk back through right as Mass had started. Oops.

Passing by businesses was surreal. The water stank in most businesses, but more formative is that so many businesses may not be able to pay for the damages and losses incurred from the flood. It would be very disheartening to see people lose jobs or businesses to close their doors. It would be such a massive loss to the community. We kept walking around and finally began to make our way toward UCC. I saw my school and was mortified really. But it was nice to see a guy rowing a boat down the street. We passed through the central part of the university and then toward the university housing. All of the buildings there were flooded and we watched a truck rescue the students from their buildings. That’s how bad it was. At that point, we headed back home. Took 45 minutes just to get back because we had to go one of the most circuitous routes. I think I ran into like 15 people I knew during that two-hour journey. Very odd day.

Just so you know, we are doing fine. We have electricity, drinkable water, and are managing just fine. The university has cancelled classes for the duration of the week.
