3nity at Produa FM, Bandung

What can I say? Tgl.3 Februari kemarin adalah hari yang paling membahagiakan di tahun 2007.
Yep2.. karena akhirnya gue bisa ketemu 3nity sejak mengetahui tentang mereka dari taun lalu. 3nity adalah band asal Perancis yang personelnya kembar tiga, Romain, Sylvain, Vincent, dan mereka berdarah campuran Perancis-Bali. Mereka biasanya menyanyikan lagu2 dlm bahasa Inggris dan beberapanya bahasa Indonesia. Tapi mereka dateng ke Indonesia buat launching album baru mereka yang berisi 10 lagu Indonesia dan 1 lagu Inggris, sekaligus buat promo, termasuk interview2, bikin video klip, syuting iklan, foto2 majalah, dll. Selain Jakarta, salah satu kota yang mereka datangi adalah Bandung.
Dan kemarin ini, mereka perform di acara Hip Hip Hura SCTV.

Dan beginilah cerita gue dimulai. Apa siihhh?? gak penting..
Supaya gue gak lupa ama kejadian kmrn, krn gue suka lupaan.

Btw, waktu pertama kali dikasih tau orang EMI Music Indonesia, katanya performance mereka di Hip Hip Hura in akan diadakan di TBC, Bandung. Gue sempet bingung dan gak yakin apa ada mall bernama TBC di Bdg. Atau informasinya yg salah, seharusnya BTC. Tapi akhirnya gue dikasih tau lagi kalo mereka ternyata perform-nya di Ciwalk jam 4. Alhasil gue dateng ke Ciwalk kmrn dan tiba di Ciwalk jam 2.30 (krn jadwal pertama mereka tertulis 2.30. Jam 4 baru diganti kemudian). Gue memang berharap kalo bisa, ketemu 3nity. Tapi kalo ternyata gak bisa, ya udah. Mungkin hari laen. Tadinya gue mau ngajak temen2 yg setau gue mungkin mau pergi. Tapi gue sendiri gak yakin bisa ketemu mereka. Jd gue gak mau memberi harapan palsu ato cerita ngumbar2 ada 3nity, tp ternyata tidak ada. Sebetulnya ada sih temen gue yang udah dikasih tau, tapi dia gak ngasih kabar pas hari H-nya. Kirain gak mau ikut. Mungkin sibuk atau apa.

Dan hal ini kejadian pas gue nyampe disana. Gue sempet kaget krn ternyata acara Hip Hip Hura-nya kok udah mulai?? Pdhl katanya jam 4. Terus akhirnya gue liat Darius ama Raffi. Yah.. sudahlah.. drpd 3nity gak ada, ketemu mereka gak ada salahnya. Hahahaha… So, akhirnya gue menghampiri seorang bapak2 (entah security/bodyguard/penjaga) yang bertugas di antara mereka, lalu nanya apa boleh gue foto2 ama mereka. Lalu dia ngizinin dan bilang kalo sekarang sih bisa. Dan berfotolah gue dengan mereka. Yang setelahnya gue tau ternyata maksud “kalo sekarang sih bisa” karena mereka itu pembawa acara Hip Hip Hura. Kirain mereka cuma lagi jalan2 di Ciwalk aja dan lagi ngumpul2 di antara kru SCTV tersebut. Hahaha.. ketahuan deh gue gak pernah nonton acara ini sebelumnya.

Setelah keduanya pergi bawain acara, gue nanya ke kru yang bawa kertas2 jadwal, kapan 3nity perform? Dan dia bilang mereka sudah perform pas pertama. o.O Gue lgs cengong. hahaha… Lalu gue nanya lagi,”bukannya jam 4, Pak?” Lalu dia mengecek kertasnya dan bilang tidak ada. 3nity udah perform tadi. *tambah cengong*. Lalu gue nanya lagi mereka nyanyi berapa lagu. Dan dia jawab,tadi sudah nyanyi 4-5 lagu. *cengong yang ke-3* >> oke sebetulnya tidak benar2 cengong. Hanya utk mendramatisir, hehe…

Dia melihat2 kertasnya lagi, lalu memperbaiki kata2nya, katanya 3nity ada lagi nanti jam 4, tp nyanyinya 1 lagu. Karena bingung, gue akhirnya mengucapkan terima kasih lalu pergi. Gue gak tau jadwal mana yang bener. Masa iya sih kru yang bawa2 kertas jadwal bisa salah.. Ato gue salah dpt jadwal? Akhirnya gue gak yakin… So, gak yakin juga mo ngajak temen2 gue.. Yah.. seperti yang gue katakan sebelumnya. Kalo2 ternyata 3nity-nya memang sudah perform dan mereka sudah pulang ato gimana.

Lalu akhirnya gue jalan2 aja, sementara acara Hip Hip Hura-nya masih berlangsung. Setelah jalan2 keliling Ciwalk, gue balik lagi ke tempat syuting acara Hip Hip Hura dan mendapati banyak orang yang sedang minta tanda tangan dan foto2 dengan Darius dan Raffi yang kali ini udah pake rambut palsu kribo. Dan gue melihat bapak2 tadi lagi (yang entah security/bodyguard/penjaga). Dan entah apa yang mendorongku, tiba2 saja gue menghampiri dia lagi dan bertanya apa boleh gue bertemu 3nity. Pertamanya dia keliatan enggan. Tp gue cuma bilang bentar dan foto2 doang. Akhirnya dia mengizinkan dan memberi tau tempatnya. Tapi gak jelas. Pertamanya terdengar seperti Revada. Gue belum pernah denger ada tempat namanya Revada di Ciwalk. Lalu dia menjelaskan bagaimana caranya kesana dengan 2 versi karena gue gak ngerti2. *lemot mode:ON* Akhirnya gue pura2 ngerti dan jalan sesuai petunjuknya yg terdengar seperti ruang rias, dan gue gak tau kalo ada ruang rias di Ciwalk. Tp tetep aja setelah gue jalan, gue tetep gak kebayang dimana tempatnya. Akhirnya pake last hit deh (istilah yang digunakan Lisa, e-palku) sebagai one last try) utk mendapatkan petunjuk yang lbh jelas lagi. Akhirnya dia mengatakan dengan lbh jelas sekarang. Makasih, Pak. Ahh… gue lucky…ternyata one last try-nya bekerja.

So, gue naek tangga, masuk ke dalam Ciwalk, dan sedikit bingung karena tidak melihat ada ruang rias. Lalu gue iseng2 melihat ke dalam Starbucks dan melihat 3NITY ada di dalamnya lagi duduk2 dan cakep2. Hahahahaha… ^^ Gue sempet bingung masuknya dr mana. Karena keliatannya pintunya dijaga orang. Tp another second “one last try”, gue nanya apa gue boleh masuk, dan ternyata orang itu bilang,”silakan2″.

Begitu gue masuk dan menyapa “Hii…”, mereka semua langsung berdiri dan yang paling bikin gue kaget adalah waktu Romain langsung nyapa,”Hi, Vina..” dan memeluk gue, lalu cupika cupiki. ^^ Ya ampunnn…. dia inget gue dr FS & MySpace. Terlebih lagi dia tau muka gue, pdhl gue pake kacamata dan gue gak pernah naro foto2 gue pake kacamata di internet. Ga nyangka banget… Dan ternyata Sylvain dan Vincent juga inget dan langsung ikut memeluk dan cupika cupiki. Woaahh.. hepii.. (hihi.. garing amat ya). Yang gak inget justru Stephane, kakaknya 3nity, yang nanya siapa nama gue. Tp akhirnya dia inget setelah gue nyebutin nama gue dan menyebutkan o ya.. yg di MySpace itu.

Setelah itu gue nanya apa mereka sudah perform, dan mereka bilang belum. (Aahhh.. itu kru booonggg…) Dan gue cerita klo tadi ada yg bilang mereka sudah perform dan Steph menjelaskan kalo nyanyi 4-5 lagu itu hanya sekedar latihan/pemanasan..

Lalu gue nanya yang mana Romain/Sylvain/Vincent. Krn serius deh, setelah ketemu yg aslinya, mereka 100% mirip dan gue gak bisa ngebedain ama sekali. Lalu Sylvain menyebutkan nama2nya yg ternyata di Perancis, susah bener lafalnya. Gue butuh ngedenger Sylvain berkali2 ampe ngeh ternyata Sylvain tetep dibaca Sylvain. Vincent, ampe sekarang gue gak bisa krn terdengar seperti Cinvent. Serius deh, gue ampe nanya berkali2 ke Sylvain. Lalu Romain, terdengar seperti Roma ato Roman. Gak jelas. Pusing deh..

Setelah itu.. foto2… Ya ampunn.. Gue nervous banget.. Udah mah nervous, yang ngambil fotonya Steph lagi.. Alhasil.. hasilnya ohh..tidak… T.T Gak kebayang kalo yg ngambil fotonya itu salah satu dr mereka bertiga. Mungkin tampang gue udah kayak setan. Well, sebetulnya memang betul, mengingat foto gue ama Steph yang diambil salah satu dr mereka bertiga (gue lupa, Vincent apa Romain). Huaa… ngeri ngeliat tampang guenya. Udah kayak mau nerkam. T.T

Udah gitu gue nanya apa boleh ngobrol2.. dan Romain bilang gpp. So kita ngobrol2 deh. Pertamanya ama Romain, ngobrol lumayan banyak. Salah satunya The Alchemist (yg setelahnya gue sadar, seharusnya gue gak ngomong ttg ini. Tdnya mo nanya ttg salah satu cerita di dlmnya yg gue gak ngerti, tp stlh ketemu dia, malah lupa), dll. Tapi surprise dan thank God gue bisa ngerti apa yg dia omongin, mungkin krn logat orang Perancis gak sesusah logat British. Lalu minta tanda tangan. Dan Romain mengucapkan sesuatu ttg Friendster yang gue gak ngerti. Tp kadang2 kalo ngomong, Romain suka menyelipkan 1 ato 2 kata dlm bahasa Indonesia. Gue jadi bertanya2, apa dia sekarang udah bisa bahasa Indonesia ya? Setelah Vincent ngasih ttd-nya jg, dia berbicara dengan manajer di Indo.. entahlah siapa.Tadinya mau ngomong ama Romain terus, tp rasanya gak enak kalo yang dua laennya diterlantarkan. Akhirnya gue ngajak Sylvain ngomong juga. Gue kira Romain bakal join, tp ternyata enggak. Alhasil gue cuma ngomong berdua.

Well, kalo boleh dibilang, meski kembar 3, karakter mereka beda2, sesuai interview di majalah Gadis. Sylvain adalah cowok yang paling talkative dan murah senyum. Kalo dia udah ngomong, gak bakalan berenti, ampe kadang2 gue suka gak nangkep apa yg dia omongin krn saking cepetnya bicara dan panjang banget. Tp dia suka bercanda juga. Apalagi pas memperagakan gaya tidurnya waktu dalam perjalanan ke Bandung yg katanya ujan dan gak lewat tol krn banjir. Lucu bangettt… ^^ Romain suka ngomong, tp gak sebanyak Sylvain. Tapi yg paling pendiem gue bilang Vincent krn dia yang paling terlihat jarang bicara. Tdnya mau ngajak dia ngomong juga, tp gue jadi bingung mau ngomong apa ama dia.

Setelah itu Sylvain undur diri krn ada briefing dan gabung ama Vincent dan Romain. Sempet ngobrol2 ama Steph bentar, tp keliatannya briefing-nya privat, so gue harus keluar. Tp gue surprise meski mereka lagi briefing, pas gue keluar pintu, sempet2nya mereka manggil lagi cuma buat bilang sampai ketemu dlm bahasa Indonesia.

Abis keluar, gue langsung SMS temen2 gue, ngajak mereka ke Ciwalk. Sayang, gak ada yang bisa dateng sebelum jam 6. Akhirnya gue nunggu ampe jam 4, ampe acara live Hip Hip Hura dimulai. Ternyata td itu utk setting2 buat minggu depan dr yg gue tangkep. Dr sini gue belajar, ternyata syuting acara musik kayak gitu gak semudah yg gue kira. Harus ‘take’ berkali2, ngasih tau penonton kapan harus bersorak, dll. Termasuk pas mau jam 4, acara live-nya.

Setelah menunggu, akhirnya tiba juga jam 4. Waktu itu, meski banyak orang yang sudah duduk dan berdiri dr tadi, tp belum begitu padat. Orang2 mulai padat waktu Irwansyah keluar. Bussettt…….. tp dia memang lbh cakep dibandingin di TV dan luar biasa pede alias lumayan narcis. Dia yg paling banyak disorakin. Acha juga wkt nyanyi Sampai Menutup Mata. Setelahnya 3nity. Boleh juga tuh disorakin, mengingat belum banyak orang yg tau mereka krn di sebelah2 gue pd bergumam,”itu siapa?” dan ada yg nyeletuk,”Kok bisa ya muka mereka sama semua??” Gue cuma bisa bilang dlm hati,”wajar aja, karena mereka kembar 3.” Yang mereka nyanyikan Madu dan Racun. Lagu ini dibuat masa kini dan ada unsur2 R&Bnya, jd bagus, gak terkesan oldies. Dan mereka nge-dance. Tp yg paling gue kagum dance-nya itu Romain, udah ampe kayak break dance segala. Ampe di sebelah gue ada yg nyeletuk,”wow.. gimana caranya dia melakukan itu?”

Selesai liat performance 3nity, gue langsung keluar dan mau pulang karena harus menghadiri acara pernikahan. Tdnya mau langsung pulang, tp entah apa yg mendorong gue kembali ke Starbucks. Ternyata disana mulai banyak yg minta foto2.. Gue liat Steph lagi ngerekam dengan handycam-nya. Jadi inget Shane, tur manajernya Same Same. Kemana2 juga bawa handycam buat ngeliput kegiatan Same Same di Indonesia.

Lalu gue datang menghampiri Sylvain dan menyelamati performance mereka yang bagus. Dan mulailah cerita2 lagi… Kali ini ngomongnya lbh cepat dr sebelumnya, ampe yg gue tangkep cuma dikit banget, kayak minta maaf krn gak bisa bales msg krn gak bisa ngecek internet di Indo. Klo bisa juga cuma bentar. Lalu ngomong2 ttg kemungkinan kedatangan mereka lagi akhir bulan utk show, dan yg tertangkap hanya Ciwalk, Gadis, dan Marina. Maunya sih minta dia ngulang lagi, tp gak enak kalo dia harus mengulang lagi sepanjang itu. Lagipula banyak yg ngantri minta foto2… Setelah itu gue bilang, gue akan pulang. Lalu gue ketemu Romain lagi dan nyelamatin ttg dance-nya yg bagus. Tp gak bisa ngobrol banyak krn dia mau foto2 ama yang minta foto2. Wkt mau pulang, gue baru inget klo gue belum foto ama mereka bertiga semua, jd gue manggil Sylvain lagi. Lalu dia manggil Vincent yg lagi istirahat dr foto2 dan lagi berdiri2 di sebelah manajer Indo itu dan Steph. Setelahnya nunggu Romain yg masih asyik foto2, dan setelahnya dipanggil Sylvain. *jepret* Selesai sudah…

Tp kayaknya krn gue, Vincent jd kembali dimintai foto2 ama yg laen. Aww.. maapkan gue.. (mengingat tadi dia sedang istirahat dr foto2).

Udah gitu, rasanya gak enak klo pamitan ke Sylvain, tp ke Romain dan Vincent enggak. (busseet.. bahasanya.. pamitan..)
jadi gue nunggu ampe mereka rada ada waktu luang sedikit. Lalu gue manggil Romain dan say gudbye. Lalu dia bilang sampai ketemu lagi dalam bahasa Indonesia. Hal yang sama dilakukan Vincent. Setelah itu say gudbye jg ke manajer Indo itu dan Steph.

Dan pulanglah gue…. Seneng rasanya…. 3nity adalah band yang bagus, dengan personil2nya yang baik, cukup sopan, dan ramah2. “Thank you for coming.” Itulah kata2 yang gue inget terakhir. Thank you for being so nice and friendly too ^^

Voilà une dizaine de jours que je rédigeais un article inhérent à une requête simple: la mise à disposition de conteneurs et bacs poubelle.

Le message est visiblement très bien passé puisque depuis hier, c’est chose faite à proximité de mon immeuble d’habitation.

Et pour l’occasion, ils n’y sont pas allés de main morte, pas moins de 4 gros conteneurs poubelle qui arrivent d’un coup d’un seul, à point nommé. Les riverains ne sont pas habitués à cela, car évidemment ils n’en ont jamais eu à disposition! Ils n’auront que l’embarras du choix, quel conteneur pourront-ils bien choisir pour déposer leurs déchets n’est-ce-pas?

Mais en tout cas, je m’en réjouis pleinement et c’était là tout le sens de ma requête, c’est plus de propreté dans les rues de notre ville et plus de responsabilisation des habitants, les invitant à non plus déposer leurs sacs poubelle sur les trottoirs mais dans les conteneurs prévus à cet effet.

Voordat ik aan deze reis begon, wist ik dat ik met twintig andere studenten zou gaan. Allemaal verschillende types, met ieder hun eigen eigenschappen en kenmerken. Na een week met hen te hebben doorgebracht, leek het me wel wat om een paar van hen aan je voor te stellen. Deze negende blog gaat dus niet over prachtig Beijing, maar over een aantal mensen die het avontuur met me meebeleefden.

Maggie
Reisleidster Anne beschrijft Maggie doorgaands als een vogeltje dat net uit haar ei gekropen is. Geregeld gonsde het door de bus: “Oooohh, maar mevrouw, hoe moet dat dan? En wanneer gaan we dat doen dan?” Deze manier van praten schijnt ze al haar hele leven te vertonen. De eerste dagen kropen de kriebels me over de rug, maar na een tijdje konden we er allemaal, Maggie incluis, hartelijk om lachen.

Marloes
Onze celebrity! Marloes is een echte Hollandse dame, nog nét geen ‘Zeeuws meisje’. Het feit dat haar haren superblond zijn, zorgde ervoor dat menig Chinees prompt stopte met lopen en verbaasd stond te kijken. Dit duurde een aantal seconden, waarna de desbetreffende Chinees haar gebaarde of ze alsjeblieft met hen op de foto wilde. Aangezien ´NEEN´ niet in Marloes haar woordenboek staat, ging ze er elke keer weer stralend voor staan. Ons in een deuk van het lachen achterlatend.

Peter&Lana
Deze twee personen in één stukje samengevat, omdat het familie is. Lana is mijn zusje, Peter mijn neef. Deze twee lijken qua karakter akelig veel op elkaar. Hun manier van denken staat lijnrecht tegenover die van mij. Wanneer ik liep te stressen voor het ontbijt of weer eens de halve inhoud van mijn koffer kwijt was, riepen deze twee ellendelingen in koor: “Komt goeeehoeed, RUSTIG blijven!” Waarna ze eerst elkaar aankeken en daarna mij, om vervolgens in lachen uit te barsten.

Kevin&Vincent
Deze twee heren worden ook samengevat in één stukje. Niet omdat ze familie van elkaar zijn, maar omdat ze superverliefd, dolgelukkig en heel erg verloofd zijn. Jawel, ons happy couple! Kevin (17) en Vincent (28) kunnen nu al niet met of zonder elkaar. Ze kibbelden de hele week als een bejaard echtpaar, maar houden ontzettend veel van elkaar. We kunnen niet wachten tot de bruiloft, die naar alle waarschijnlijkheid volgend jaar voorjaar zal plaatsvinden.

Dit zijn maar een paar beschrijvingen van een stel ontzettend leuke, komische mensen. Want dat zijn het echt. Ook zij lieten me af en toe dingen zien waar ik in het begin overheen keek. Zo riep Maggie bijvoorbeeld: “Oh kijk daaaaaar! Wat zijn die jongetjes dik zeeeeg!”
Als ze het niet –op haar eigen, kenmerkende manier- had geroepen, dan had ik het misschien wel gemist en was een complete blog in rook opgegaan…

Bueno, ahora se aproximan muchos cambios en mi vida, aunque de todas formas llevo ya unos mesecitos que he cambiado de casa, de ordenador, de móvil… Pero bueno, ahora todos los cambios son más importantes, y además, no sé qué pasa, que ya no tengo la misma ilusión por escribir que tenía antes, así que por todo esto creo que iré cerrando la temporada, hasta el año que viene (aunque puede que haga alguna entrada nueva este año si tengo algo interesante que contar)…

Además, no sé, las últimas entradas que estoy haciendo no me terminan de convecer, y además, las audiencias muestran que las que mejor funcionan son las clásicas, siendo la líder indiscutible Capítulo IV: Arthur Fonzarelli “The Fonz” in “Happy Days”, algo que demuestra un gran interés de la gente por esta serie…

Así que, a modo de cierre aquí os dejo una perlita, “Vincent” el primer corto de Tim Burton, que son 5 minutos de Tim Burton en estado puro…

Serge Pugeault se vante constamment de la rapidité de la majorité municipale à entamer la réfection de la Halle du Boulingrin, alors que par le passé ce dossier paraissait au ralenti.

C’est clairement de la mauvaise foi car si Adeline Hazan et son équipe ont eu la possibilité de lancer aussi vite ce dossier, c’est grâce aux travaux d’études réalisés par l’équipe précédente. Il serait bon qu’ils ne l’omettent pas!

M. Pugeault met en cause la lenteur du déblocage de l’aide de l’Etat à la réfection qui était bloquée depuis 1996…C’est aussi objectivement l’une des causes du non avancement du dossier par le passé !

Surtout, c’est la preuve que gouvernements de gauche comme de droite n’avaient pas rempli cet engagement, alors même que Serge Pugeault se répand partout en affirmant que l’enveloppe accordée dans le cadre du plan de relance n’est que le rattrappage de cette promesse non tenue.

Enfin et c’est important de le souligner, c’est Jack Lang qui a classé ce bâtiment pour des raisons politiciennes en 1985, alors que sa qualité architecturale est très largement décriée.

M. Pugeault a la mémoire bien courte et une lecture partiale et partielle de ce dossier, il n’a même pas le souci de la cohérence dans les propos qu’il tient, trop occupé à politiser à outrance et à vouloir discréditer l’Etat et l’Exécutif…

NORVIN CAFE RACER WITH THE WOW FACTOR

Mick Barton’s Norvin special was one of the stars in the bikes section at the Classic Motor Show, held at the NEC in November 2009, reports Alastair Walker.

Mick had a Norvin when he was a teenager in the 60s, but back then he couldn’t afford to customise the bike with the very best performance parts. So spending the last eight years, `on and off,’ building this ultimate cafe racer Norvin was a real labour of love.

“The hardest part was sourcing an original Vincent engine,” said Mick, “I could have used a re-manufactured motor, but I eventually found a 1955 V-twin and then had it stripped, with bigger valves, hotter cams, low comp pistons fitted, plus GP 32mm carbs and a custom made set of exhaust pipes. The bike really goes well now. I think it’s realised the full potential of the bike, yet sticks with the old cafe racer styling of the 60s.”

Other mods on the bike include Ceriani suspension, many polished and chromed parts, a Yamaha V-Max fly screen and Yamaha TZ spoked wheels. The striking Norvin, finished in Audi orange, took `Best Cafe Racer’ in the concours awards, presented by the Ace Cafe London, at the Classic Motor Show 2009.

While the Giant stole the U.S. title belt and Flair has been stripped of the champion status due to not wrestling for 30 days, a tournament to crown a new U.S. champion will begin tonight and finish at Starrcade.

• Lex Luger vs. Arn Anderson – First Round WCW U.S. Title Tournament Match

Arn is essentially on his retirement tour at this point. He’s not really having any good matches and just doing what he can. By the way, Arn has his ribs taped up. Luger works on the arm until we go to commercial. Nothing to it. We come back to see Luger fighting out of a chinlock. Arn continues the violence with a catapult into the bottom rope for two. To the floor, Luger backs AA into the ringpost and it looks like there’s going to be a double countout, but it never comes. Back in, Luger stays on the back while the Giant barks down at the ring. He’s got the US belt in his hands! He really thinks he’s the US champion. Giant challenges the winner of the tournament to face him and then we’ll see who the REAL US champ is. Back to the match, they go to the floor where Luger backdrops out of a piledriver and puts AA in the TORTURE RACK! That generates the double countout and now both men are out of the tournament. (13:07 shown) Did they really think this would compete with Bret vs. Owen on Raw? *

We get some stills of Mysterio-Dragon, Jericho-Patrick, and Giant-Jarrett from World War 3.

And here comes the new World order (without Hogan) led by Eric Bischoff. Bischoff explains why he turned to the nWo. The morning after taking a Jackknife Powerbomb off a stage through a table, he asked himself whether or not he wanted to be consumed by the power, or did he want to become part of the force! Now we know it’s the latter. Not only is the highest executive in the nWo, but he’s the highest executive in WCW. The guys in the back have 30 days to convert their WCW contracts to nWo contracts or they will be targeted. As for you Mr. Piper, if you decide to get out of hand, he will fine you. As for the U.S. title, possession is 9/10ths of the law and I mean, who’s going to take that belt away from him? Wait a minute. Here comes the American Males. Riggs tries to change Bagwell’s mind, but he embraces the nWo boys anyway. When Bagwell goes over to tell Riggs that it’s just business, he drops him with a reverse neckbreaker! “nWo” chants roar throughout the arena. That’s actually as vocal as they get the whole night. Looks like Riggs got punked. And there you have it. Marcus Bagwell is the NEWEST member of the nWo.

Many call the defections over the next 30 days to be the first real mistake Bischoff had made with the nWo storyline by bringing in guys who were either long time midcarders or people who never had a big name in the business.

• Diamond Dallas Page vs. Disco Inferno

Disco tries to prolong the inevitable with a swinging neckbreaker, but DDP catches him with the DIAMOND CUTTER anyways. (2:14) Gene Okerlund accuses DDP of already defecting to the nWo simply because he’s old friends with the Outsiders and he happens to live in Bischoff’s neighborhood. Other than that and it’s a poorly thought out reason, Page has really shown no other evidence of jumping ship. ½*

• WCW World Television Champion Lord Steven Regal vs. Tony Pena

No he doesn’t play baseball. Pena is just a maskless Mexican wrestler who we’ve never seen before. If you check out his trunks with the roman numeral IV on it, he could be Villano IV. He tries to rough up Regal, but that just gets him angry. Regal forearms him in the corner. Pena hits a DDT for two. Butterfly suplex from Regal gets two, but the REGAL STRETCH gets the win. (3:05) Somewhat competitive. That Regal Stretch is curtains for anybody though. *½

Gene Okerlund interviews Rick Steiner. He says the Steiner Brothers are 110% behind WCW. After his trip to Japan, he sees Sting hanging up in the rafters and dropping people from behind. What’s that about? Oh Rick Steiner. You’re so much fun.

• Konnan vs. Eddie Guerrero – First Round WCW U.S. Title Tournament Match

In our second first round match of the night, Eddie starts off with a lucha armdrag and a tilt-a-whirl headscissors to put Konnan on the floor for his big stage dive. Back in, Konnan drills Guerrero with the Rolling Lariat and dropkicks him in the corner. Konnan delivers a Fisherman Buster into a hammerlock roll. Powerbomb gets two. Another Fisherman Buster gets two for Konnan. Doctorbomb scores another nearfall. To mount a comeback, Guerrero dropkicks Konnan as he comes off the top. Konnan does a floatover out of the corner and rolls back, but Eddie comes at him with a clothesline. Could it be FROG SPLASH time? Nope, Konnan stops him with a superplex! Konnan goes for Splash Mountain, but Eddie tries to counter with a headscissors and winds up falling on top of Konnan instead for the 1-2-3. (5:23) And Eddie moves on to face the winner of Benoit-Regal in four weeks! **¼

• Rick Steiner vs. Big Bubba (w/Jimmy Hart)

Back to our moderately short matches. Rick throws Bubba around for a while until Sting comes out and SCORPION DEATHDROPS him to give Bubba the win. (3:17) Same stuff that happened to Jarrett – just channeled towards Rick Steiner now. Whatever you do people, don’t talk bad about Sting! He’ll getcha! ½*

On the Road with Lee Marshall! He’s in Dayton Ohio getting fans pumped for next week’s Nitro. How does he always know where to find a good Nitro party? They have ‘Pin the tail on the Weasel’ games and everything!

• Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Psychosis

This is usually good as long as they have plenty of time to do their thing. They roll around out of wristlocks as Ultimo Dragon and Sonny Oono show up wearing the J-Crown. Back to the match, Psychosis tries that reverse powerbomb into a hotshot spot and dumps Rey out to the floor. Whoops. Back in, Psychosis hits the GUILLOTINE LEGDROP for 1-2-NO! He goes for Splash Mountain, but Rey counters with a rana for the win. (2:20) Dragon and Oono take a step back after that finish. *

They re-air the entire Piper-Hogan contract signing from last week complete with the chair attack on the hip! That kills about fifteen minutes.

• Jeff Jarrett vs. Alex Wright

Wow, we haven’t seen Alex Wright on Nitro in a couple months. He gets in a few dropkicks and headscissors takedowns on Jarrett, but jams his knee in the corner off a missed charge and submits to the FIGURE-FOUR just like that. (2:19) Jarrett used the ropes and everything! ½*

We get some more stills from World War 3. The only thing is the battle royal. I still love the Giant for that one-handed pitch on Rey Jr. It’s just awesome.

• Harlem Heat (w/Sister Sherri) vs. The Faces of Fear

No Jimmy Hart? Tenay puts over the Faces of Fear for being on a win streak even though they have lost the last two matches on PPV. Stevie Ray boots Meng back, but Barbarian comes in and takes him out with the KICK OF FEAR! When Barbarian turns around, Booker takes his head off with the Jumping Leg Lariat. Side Slam/Scissors Kick combo to Meng gets two. Barbarian gets a blind tag for the backdrop into the powerbomb combo. That’s so awesome, but it only gets two. STEREO DIVING HEADBUTTS earn the Faces of Fear another two count. Eventually, the match breaks down as Barbarian and Stevie Ray head to the floor. Here comes the new World order to beat up all four men for the DQ. (4:00) We go off the air with the nWo boys standing tall – including Marcus Bagwell. Everybody is there except Hogan. *½

AND WE OUT! Anybody else notice since Raw moved to 8-9pm, the second hour has quickly became meaningless?

• J-Crown Champion Ultimo Dragon (w/Sonny Oono) vs. Rey Mysterio

For those unaware, the J-Crown is EIGHT lightweight championships combined from promotions all around the world. The funny part is and possibly the most annoying for the champion is that he’s got to carry around all those eight titles instead of having just one belt to represent all the belts. Needless to say, the J-Crown championship was short-lived and when the WWF came calling for their light heavyweight championship all of a sudden (which was one of the eight championships) in the fall of 1997, the J-Crown status was absolved and all the belts returned to be defended in their particular promotion. Anyways, this is match #2 in the three part series of the Mysterio-Dragon PPV matches. Mysterio won the first match at Hog Wild in Dragon’s debut and now that he’s got a boost of confidence in winning all those belts, maybe he can pick up the win here especially now that Rey has just lost the cruiserweight belt four weeks ago at Halloween Havoc. Alright that’s enough set up talk, let’s get to the match.

After a short feeling out process, they flip around to come to a stalemate. Enough of that, Dragon puts Rey down with his famous kick combo and corners him for some chops. Rey lands on the apron and looks for a springboard, but Dragon stops that with a springboard dropkick to put Rey on the floor. Awesome! Dragon hits a German suplex and then puts Mysterio in a lucha backbreaker rack drop. Rey outlasts a half crab, but then Dragon powerbombs him and lifts him back up for a hotshot! WHAT. Cover, 1-2-NO! Dragon gives Rey the Giant Swing! After so many spins, Dragon ends up making himself dizzy too. Fisherman buster gets two. Brainbuster gets another two. Tombstone piledriver gets a THIRD nearfall in a row! They go to the floor where Dragon drops Rey with ANOTHER tombstone! While Mysterio’s laid out, Dragon gives him a slingshot splash! Back inside, he hits the DRAGONSTEINER for 1-2-NO! RUNNING LIGERBOMB gets 1-2-NO! Mysterio catches Dragon charging in the corner and follows up with a springboard split-legged moonsault for 1-2-NO! Rey flips out to the apron off a whip and springboard dropkicks Dragon to the floor. He continues with the offense and wipes out Dragon with a springboard somersault plancha! Incredible. In the ring, Rey delivers a springboard sunset flip for 1-2-NO! Awesome cartwheel into a spinning hurracanrana gets 1-2-NO! Dragon comes back with a Dragon Suplex right on Rey’s head for 1-2-NO! He tries another Running Ligerbomb, but Rey sunset flips out for 1-2-NO! WHOA. So many convincing nearfalls. Rey calls for the SPRINGBOARD HURRACANRANA which always wins, but this time Dragon catches him in mid-air and bounces him off the rope into a powerbomb for 1-2-3! (13:47) Wow just an absolutely awesome match. I LOVE that finish too. A slingshot powerbomb? Who thinks of this stuff? Just incredible. Easily a MOTYC here. Next month, Dragon wants Malenko and his Cruiserweight belt. At the time, Ultimo Dragon held NINE total championships – that’s one other belt outside of the J-Crown. The cruiserweight belt would make a ridiculous ten championships at once. That’s insanity. But hey, when you’re a champ, you’re a champ all the way. ****½

In the back, DDP avoids Gene’s question about whether or not he’s got anything to do with Eric Bischoff since he’s his next door neighbor and all. You know what Gene, Page does in fact owe his great hair to Head & Shoulders. Don’t be jealous. BANG!

• Chris Jericho (w/Teddy Long) vs. Nick Patrick

For this match, Jericho has to wrestle Patrick with one arm tied behind his back. Nick Patrick comes out looks all sleazy. He wrestles in a sleeveless zebra shirt, black pants, white boots, and one of those soft collars. Jericho shoulderblocks and hiptosses Patrick around to start. He stalls and gets in Teddy Long’s face for a moment. Back inside, he slaps Jericho and then takes a slap to send him flying to the floor. Patrick finally gains an advantage when Jericho misses a clothesline up against the ringpost. Back in again, Patrick punches Jericho around in the corner, but charges into a boot and takes a bunch of turnbuckle smashes. Patrick leads Jericho in and out of the ring to stomp him on his way back inside, but then he gets slammed off the top (WOO!) and eats a superkick for the 1-2-3. (8:02) I know Nick Patrick used to be a wrestler before he hurt himself and became a referee, but he did pretty darn good since that was about fifteen years ago. Tony tells Patrick to go home to daddy. In case you don’t get the inside joke, his daddy is the Assassin who RULED the southern territories as a masked heel back in the day and in 1996, he ran the WCW Power Plant. Actually not that bad to sit through and it’s certainly satisfying to see Patrick get owned if you can forget about referees usually getting merely bumped and knocked out for five minutes. They’re usually so feeble! *½

Gene Okerlund brings out a rehabilitating Ric Flair. While this crowd was already molten hot, Flair comes out to help them become a little hotter. He promises the wrestling public that before it’s all said and done, he will dance all night and dance a little longer, stay all night and stay a little longer. Oh yeah and the new World order will belong to the WCW. WOO! Wait, what?

• The Giant vs. Jeff Jarrett

Giant wears the US belt with him to the ring. Schiavone says that Flair is no longer the champ because of not defending the belt in 30 days. Jarrett spends the whole match trying to knock Giant off his feet. When he fails, Giant takes over and chokes and chops on him. Wait a minute, here comes STING! Meanwhile, Giant misses a pump splash (yep, even back then) and Jarrett takes him off his feet with a flying bodypress for 1-2-NO! As Sting jumps the rail, Giant gets dumped. Jarrett doesn’t notice anything and takes this opportunity to do the Fargo Strut. While the ref is counting on Giant, Sting hops in the ring and gives Jarrett the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Once Sting leaves, Giant waits for Jarrett to stagger up to his feet and delivers the CHOKESLAM for the academic 1-2-3. (6:52) This achieved a couple things. It continues Sting punishing Jarrett for waltzing in here all of a sudden and demanding that he stop being a loser and become the leader for WCW against the nWo. Secondly it allowed Giant to finally chokeslam Jarrett when he said he couldn’t do it. And yeah, that pretty much ends Giant’s feud with the Horsemen. ¾*

It’s time for a contract signing! There’s a table with a plaid cover ready in the ring and Roddy Piper comes out with the contract in hand. Get out here, Hogan. Instead of seeing Hogan, Eric Bischoff comes out wearing an nWo t-shirt, Ted DiBiase, and Vincent. Bischoff says that Hollywood isn’t coming out to sign this because he’s a little busy looking over some scripts and has made Bischoff his power of attorney, so he can sign the contract in his place. First of all, Piper reminds Vincent that he taught him how to fight, so he better back off. Piper handles these three by being able to talk over all them. He doesn’t care about no WCW or nWo. To Piper, nWo means ‘no way out’. And somewhere Vince is thinking that might not be a bad name for a PPV. When Piper gets up in Bischoff’s face, Bischoff reminds him that he can fine Piper for whatever it is he’s about to do. O RLY? How much would it cost him? Piper gets a little off track and then tells Bischoff that this match against Hogan is no-DQ, no countouts – there must be a winner to find out who the real icon is. Piper doesn’t want to look at Bischoff anymore, he calls Hogan out again. And here comes Hollywood along with the rest of the new World order. First of all, Hollywood says he’ll sign the contract, but then he brings up Piper’s hip replacement. Show everybody the scar, Roddy! Hogan proceeds to call Piper a cripple and “Pegged Leg Pete”. Piper finally has enough and slaps Hogan away. Big mistake. The nWo swarms on him while Hogan blasts his scar with a chair and then spray paints the nWo letters across his hip! Before the nWo leaves, Piper gets to his feet and turns the table over to prove a point. He WILL NOT DIE! While the build towards this match is pretty awesome, it’s a shame that it can’t live up to it.

• Harlem Heat (w/Sister Sherri) vs. The Amazing French Canadians (w/Col. Robert Parker)

If the Heat win, Sherri gets five minutes with Col. Parker. Hopefully this time she won’t bump her head and fall in love with him. During the Canadian national anthem, Sherri wonders if the AFC think they’re at the MTV music awards. SUH-NAP! Jacques kips up after a shoulderblock and nails Booker with a dropkick, but then eats a Hook Kick. Tag to Stevie Ray for a double clothesline. Jacques catches Stevie Ray with a jumping back elbow, but has to tag in Oulette to put him down with a clothesline. Stevie Ray nails Oulette with a back suplex and Bicycle Kicks him down for two. Oulette gets stuck in the Heat corner for a while. Scissors Kick connects. Booker misses an elbow and SPINAROONIES up into a Jumping Leg Lariat. Jacques pulls the top rope down on Booker to send him flying to the floor. Back in, Jacques slams Oulette on top of Booker and continues the double teams with a double hotshot. Boston crab/flying legdrop on Booker gets two. Stevie Ray gets a hot tag and press slams Rougeau on top of Oulette. It breaks down into a pier-six brawl and the ref gets sandwiched in the corner. Booker misses a Jumping Leg Lariat and gets crotched and falls to the floor. That leaves Stevie Ray alone with the AFC for a SPIKE PILEDRIVER! With the Heat all down and out, Oulette makes a scaffold in the corner with a table and then puts the ring steps on top of the table. He puts another bundle of steps down on the mat to make for a SUPER QUEBECER CRASH! OH MY GOSH! Too bad it completely misses. I mean it took all of a whole minute to set up. Jacques gets kicked to the floor while Booker delivers the HARLEM HANGOVER to Oulette for the 1-2-3. (9:15) Standard formula tag with a silly finish. Kind of cool, but kind of silly too. I mean, really guys? Afterwards, Sherri gets her alone time with Parker and beats him to the back after about a minute or two. About what we expected with that. **

Tony Schiavone is wiping away the TEARS of laughter. Yes, TEARS.

On the WCW Hotline, Gene says he’ll tell you who the latest superstar is that will be coming to WCW! Well whoever he is, I’ll bet he’ll be just perfect for WCW.

• WCW World Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko vs. Psychosis

Malenko stretches Psychosis down on the mat to start. During the mat work, somebody apparently is getting kicked out of the building. Who knows. Finally, it picks up a little as Psychosis takes Malenko to the floor, but then he misses a leap to the floor and slams his face on the guardrail. Oww? Back in, Malenko returns to the mat with a headscissors. He changes over to a nasty vertical half crab and then levels Psychosis with a butterfly powerbomb into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF, but Psychosis is in the ropes. They fight to the floor while Malenko cranks on the knee. Psychosis mounts a comeback with a pumphandle backbreaker and then NAILS Malenko with a corkscrew senton on the floor! WHAT. Back in, Psychosis delivers a GUILLOTINE LEGDROP for 1-2-NO! Malenko avoids a charge, but gets caught up top and takes a rana to the mat for 1-2-NO! Whoa, Psychosis catches Malenko with a rolling Koppou kick. We see a DOUBLE REVERSAL on a tombstone piledriver which Dean wins. Cover, 1-2-NO! Malenko eats a boot off a corner charge, but avoids a leapfrog and gets the rolling clutch into a bridge for the 1-2-3. (14:34) Took too long to get where it was going to be great. However it did include quite a few awesome nearfalls. Certainly not as great as the Dragon-Rey match, but still a very good match. ***½

• WCW World Tag Team Champions The Outsiders vs. The Nasty Boys vs. The Faces of Fear (w/Jimmy Hart)

I do believe this is the final WCW PPV for the Nasty Boys. While Knobbs would wrestle on his own later in WCW, I know this is certainly the end of PPVs for Jerry Sags. Anyways, they clean house on the Outsiders before the Faces of Fear even make it to the ring. Once the Faces of Fear make it to the ring, the Outsiders stand back while the other two teams beat the crap out of each other. As you might expect, there’s a lot of CLUBBERIN’. Knobbs gets cornered in the champs corner for a while. Hall kicks Barbarian in the head a bunch and that wakes him up. The Faces of Fear slug him around until the Nasties take over. Sags hits a PILEDRIVER on Barbarian and gets two. Nash lays out Barbarian with the Side Slam. In comes Hall, the Faces of Fear have some more fun with him. Back over to the Nasties, they concentrate on Barbarian some more. Eventually, Knobbs and Meng decide to stop fighting each other and they tag in both Hall and Nash. They think they are brilliant for making these two fight, but all they have to do is pin each other to regain the tag belts, says Tony. They hype the crowd up into a frenzy making them think they’re going to really fight, but then Nash lays down for Hall and they get a two count off that. Does that remind anybody of a certain Monday night in January of 1999? Just saying. The match breaks down with the Faces of Fear heading to the floor to beat up Sags. Meanwhile, Hall gets Jimmy’s megaphone and blasts Knobbs in the back of the head so Nash can give him the JACKKNIFE POWERBOMB for the 1-2-3. (16:11) I don’t normally like tag team triangle matches because they’re usually just a huge mess, but this felt like a good fight. The Nasties and the Faces of Fear are known for being tough dudes, but the Outsiders proved to be the smartest. In this case, being the smartest won them the match. **¼

• 60-Man Battle Royal – Winner Gets The Next WCW World Title Shot

The participants: Lex Luger, Eddie Guerrero, ‘Boston Bad Boy’ Tony Rumble, Diamond Dallas Page, Kaos, Rage, M. Wallstreet, Marcus Bagwell, Scotty Riggs, Sgt. Craig Pittman, Booker T, Stevie Ray, Big Bubba, Hugh Morrus, Konnan, Ron Studd, Lord Steven Regal, La Parka, Pez Whatley, Steve McMichael, Disco Inferno, Renegade, Joe Gomez, Meng, Barbarian, Bunkhouse Buck, Arn Anderson, Johnny Grunge, Ciclope, Galaxy, Syxx, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, The Giant, Scott Norton, Ultimo Dragon, Jimmy Graffiti, Mike Enos, Rey Mysterio Jr., Roadblock, Ice Train, Jack Boot, Jim Duggan, Chris Benoit, Juventud Guerrera, Jacques Rougeau, Carl Oulette, Prince Iaukea, Dean Malenko, Jeff Jarrett, Bobby Eaton, Jim Powers, Squire David Taylor, Chris Jericho, Alex Wright, Mark Starr, Mr. JL, Villano IV, Rick Steiner, and Kevin Sullivan. A black-eyed and bruised Benoit meets Sullivan in the aisleway as he comes to the ring. They had a rematch from the Great American Bash in Baltimore the night before. A Horsemen/Dungeon battle ensues on the floor. Benoit and Sullivan fight into the crowd. Bubba tries to help out, but he gets beaten down the steps. Hard to tell if any eliminations are happening even with the three-way split screen because the commentators are all talking about the Horsemen/Dungeon fight. Somehow Lee Marshall gets swept up into the brawl. HA. Apparently everybody involved in the fight is disqualified from the battle royal. The jobbers and the luchadores slowly get weeded out. That excludes Rey Mysterio Jr. The new World order people are just standing around picking their shots. Giant gets into it with Roadblock and clotheslines him out. In one ring, everybody clotheslines Ron Studd in the corner. Once he’s down, they all dog pile on top of him for some reason. While the Amazing French Canadians have their problems with Duggan after they eliminated, Eddie Guerrero pescados out on top of Regal. Off-camera, it looks like Bagwell eliminated Riggs to further their problems with Wallstreet coming up behind Bagwell to send him to the showers. It’ll all become clear tomorrow on Nitro. In another ring, the nWo pretty much stand back and watch while Rey and Dragon make a little match. I thought Eddie was eliminated when he launched himself out on Regal, but he’s still at ringside beating up DDP. Eventually, everybody congregates into the same ring. Jack Boot, better known as Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker, gets tossed out. I know everybody was DYING to know what happened to him. Luger tries to punch away on the Giant, but he can’t stay there forever with the nWo standing in his way protecting their own. Luger does manage to toss out a different giant in Ron Studd though. Now the midcarders like Rick Steiner and Chris Jericho get sent out. How is Regal still in the match? Finally when there’s nine people left, WCW stops fighting each other momentarily. Luger and Jarrett go after Hall and Nash while Regal, Mysterio, DDP, and Eddie continue beating on one another. I’ve seen everybody left from WCW on the floor at some point during this match. Regal backdrops Eddie out for a crazy bump. Rey charges Giant and gets hoisted up with ONE HAND. He pitches Rey on top of Eddie. That’s just ridiculous. Hall goes to give Jarrett the OUTSIDERS EDGE when Regal makes the save! Nevertheless, Nash clotheslines Jarrett out. DDP charges Regal and misses to crash and burn on the floor. Now that Regal is on fire, Nash and Giant swarms the guy and dumps him out.

We’re down to Syxx, Nash, Hall, and the Giant left to take on Luger. The crowd gets to their feet. Luger goes on the move and starts taking everybody down with clotheslines. All except the Giant. He whips Luger across and misses an avalanche to land himself up on the top turnbuckle. Lex gets Giant up on his shoulders to get rid of him, but Syxx kicks Luger in the gut. Hall kicks Luger for the OUTSIDERS EDGE, but Luger backdrops him out to the floor. Lex presses Syxx and throws him out onto Hall! Luger ducks a clothesline from Nash and then nails him coming back around with a running elbow! With Nash staggered, Luger lifts him up in the TORTURE RACK! As he moves over to the ropes to dump him out, Giant comes over and shoves them both out to win the match. (28:23) This actually turns out for the best because it creates an opportunity to weaken the nWo just a little bit. They were getting a tad too strong. Since Giant is part of the new World order and Hogan’s the champ, to ask for the guaranteed title shot for winning World War 3 would mean absolute treason. And boy, this should get a little interesting in the weeks to come.

Final Thoughts: What a fun PPV. Apart from who won at least from a booking standpoint, I’m not a big fan of the main event. It’s usually just a nasty cluster of a match, but the hot ending was just spectacular. Most people hate the undercard on this show aside from the cruiserweight stuff. I didn’t mind it and found those matches to be enjoyable. World War 3 ‘96 will get an easy thumbs up from me. November 1996 was just a great month for PPVs. For an interesting time in WCW, go and check this out however you can.

It’s time for my list. I will be working on it, because there are still some things(latest Swell Season, Devendra Banhart, Julie Doiron etc.) that I have to hear. Recommendations are very welcome! Anyway, some of my favourites:

Dan Mangan – Nice, Nice, Very Nice [9.8/10]
I think this is my favourite album from this year. Cute, teddy-bear-ish-looking singer-songwriter from Canada. He makes you feel loved inside. Good, strong and dynamic songs, nice vocals, very good instrumental work, wonderful lyrics. The best indie pop album from this year. It’s unbelievable that he’s just 26(25?) (date-material! haha!). Dan’s a keeper and you should keep your eye on him!

Andrew Bird – Noble Beast/Useless Creatures [9.5/10]
Again, a masterpiece made by Andrew Bird. It’s balanced, beautiful and unique. It’s pop, folk, it’s wonderful. I only miss the electric guitar a bit. Still, great lyrics, interesting, wonderful compositions and vocally pretty strong. Useless Creatures is the best instrumental CD I’ve ever heard, might have even listened more to that one than to Noble Beast. Simply beautiful.

St. Vincent – Actor [9/10] [review]
Annie Clark manages to float above her instrumental chaos. Or at least, it looks like that. Her compositions are actually well made. Vocally, Clark is really strong. It’s a pretty unique CD that you’ll love or you’ll hate. I love it. (read the review I did)

Jesca Hoop – Hunting My Dress [8.8/10]
To me, she’s live even stronger. Hoop mixes various styles and makes them her own. Great guitar work, great vocals. It might sound weird during your first listen, but it will grow. Especially ‘Murder of Birds’ is a wonderful track.

A.A. Bondy – When The Devil’s Loose[8.3/10] [review]
I know I didn’t give A.A. Bondy such a high mark in my review. But the album did really grow on me. One of the best folk albums made this year. I listen to it a lot lately, so points for that!

The Whitest Boy Alive – Rules[7.5/10]
Simple funky and happy. Don’t expect any musical obscurity from these guys. Erlend Øye got a great voice, some great lyrics and made some great music on this album. Strong bass lines, percussion and light guitar work. But after a while, it get’s a bit repetitive. Still a very nice album, best song to me is ‘1517′.

Laura Gibson – Beasts of Seasons[7.5/10]
Dreamy folk songs. Gibson got a great voice. This album stands out for it’s simplicety. Her songs are pretty vocally driven, with often some light guitar work underneath it. But also you hear some piano notes every now and then. The perfect album for a sunny autumn day.

Franz Ferdinand – Tonight[7.2/10]
Surprising new album from Franz Ferdinand. They changed their sound a bit, having more electronics in it. It’s still not difficult to dance on. They didn’t lose their Franz sound. Points for that.

Grizzly Bear – Veckatimest[7/10]
Pretty interesting album, on moments to difficult for me to understand maybe. There are some ‘killer-tracks’ on it, but overall it’s just a pretty solid, nice, album that isn’t really my cup of tea at moments

Regina Spektor – Far [7/10]
Not as strong as ‘Begin to Hope’, but again a very good album. Spektor goes from weird classical stuff to pop, not being afraid of sounding ’silly’. Vocally strong, but you have to love her voice. No complains about her instrumental stuff, but it’s not really ‘new’. (Best tracks of the album are ‘Laughing With’ and ‘Folding Chair’, these are perfect songs)

Wilco - Wilco(the album) [7/10]
Wilco delivered another good album. Still, it can’t beat Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, but it’s a good try. It’s again the typical Wilco sound(that isn’t really my sound). But it’s a strong, balanced album.

Albums I want to mention but that aren’t quite my taste(though, I like some songs):

Soap&Skin – Lovetune for Vacuum
It’s too dark and obscure for me. It feels pretty creepy. But still, pretty good. (yeah, I don’t know much more to say about this one)

Zee Avi – Zee Avi
Too light and too bubbly for me. Pretty good debut album from this singer-songwriter. She mixes light, bubbly pop with a bit of jazz. Think Jack Johnson if he was a girl and used a ukulele more.

Portugal. The Man – The Satanic Satanist
Good album, but I think it’s too ‘heavy’ for me. Though, I do like the poppy ‘Work All Day’, ‘People Say’ and ‘The Sun’. Recommended for everyone who’s ears can handle more noise than mine.

Great Lake Swimmers – Lost Channels [review]
A more upbeat album from Tony Dekker and company. It does work out, but I like their slow, acoustic stuff more. Still a great album if you like them and do like songs such as ‘Your Rocky Spine’.

M. Ward – Hold Time
For all M. Ward lovers: Hold Time is a typical M. Ward album. His strongest point is his voice, and he uses is good. To me, M. Ward is a bit boring, there’s not much happening in his music. But that’s the only critic I can think of, so I guess it’s a nice album.

Ce stade, qui il faut le dire, a été un véritable gouffre financier, avec un coût de 57 millions d’euros, est bien loin de répondre aux attentes que l’on pouvait en avoir.

En effet, ce stade ne peut accueillir d’autre événement sportif car il n’a pas été conçu pour. Ainsi, il a été précisé au dernier Conseil Municipal qu’il manquerait 1 mètre de pelouse pour pouvoir y accueillir des matches de rugby du Top 14! 1 mètre de pelouse, vous rendez-vous compte?!

Ensuite, ce stade vraiment mal situé et très mal ouvert sur la ville. Aucun commerce ne peut se développer autour comme cela peut se faire dans les autres villes disposant d’un équipement digne de ce nom.

Enfin, il est impossible d’y installer une scène pour des spectacles, les poids-lourds ne pouvant avoir accès à l’intérieur du stade!

Que dire de la pelouse dont la piètre qualité empêche, sauf à payer un prix prohibitif de réfection, la présence de publics et de l’insuffisance des loges pour les mécènes et entreprises, l’absence de couverture des coursives…

D’où l’intérêt de réaffirmer l’impérieuse nécessité de construire un Zénith à Reims.

Ce zénith est primordial pour l’attractivité de nos territoires, notamment envers la jeunesse et en terme d’image.

Coté professionnels, la demande est unanime, tous les producteurs locaux sont favorables à ce projet, mais surtout l’exemple le plus flagrant, est la demande de Messieurs les président et directeur de programmation des Flâneries Musicales de Reims qui souhaitent tous deux une vraie salle de spectacle de grande capacité.

Non vraiment, le stade Delaune, même s’il  présente une belle esthétique, est bien loin de correspondre aux attentes des rémois(es) et des champardennais.

Lundi s’est déroulé le débat d’orientations budgétaires de l’exercice 2010 sur fond de projet de réforme territoriale, de réforme de la Taxe Professionnelle et de transfert de responsabilités de l’Etat sur les collectivités locales.

Cette séance de Conseil municipal avait comme un air de déjà-vu ce lundi, chacun restait campé sur ses positions, comme il y a un an. Normal me direz-vous, majorité et opposition dos-à-dos dans un débat stérile, avec des critiques maintes fois entendues et des réponses redondantes contrant ces mêmes reproches, entre petits coups de griffes et phrases pseudo humoristiques. Des échanges verbaux rappelant les discours d’entraîneur de football dans les vestiaires, toujours la même litanie, le même verbiage, les mêmes remontrances, les victoires et les échecs passés… une sorte de bouillie verbale indigeste pour certains et appétant pour d’autres.

Morceaux choisis de ces passes d’armes à fleuret moucheté.

-Jean-Marc Roze (UMP) : « Comment pouvons-nous débattre, nous n’avons pas tous les éléments comptables pour apprécier votre gestion (…),  27 pages de chiffres pour éclairer le débat, mais il n’y a pas la lumière à tous les étages (…). Investir sans nous endetter relève de la science-fiction ».

-Adeline Hazan : « Comme d’habitude pour suivre Monsieur Roze, il faut se munir d’une calculatrice. Depuis plusieurs mois, vous affirmez que les dépenses de personnel vont augmenter de 13%, ce chiffre est purement fantaisiste et peu sérieux. La hausse n’est que de 0,5% ».

-Jean-Marie Beaupuy (MoDem) : « Vous jouez avec les variations de compétence entre la ville et la CAR, il est difficile de comparer d’une année sur l’autre (…)  Il manque un plan de relance(…)  Il faut aller plus vite, plus fort, plus loin (…) Madame la Maire, vous parlez des errements du passé et en même temps de la richesse culturelle et sportive de Reims, mais il faut mettre en exergue le grand écart entre les errements et ce dont vous vous rendez fiere (…) c’est sans doute un pêché de jeunesse ».

-Adeline Hazan : « Vous avez utilisé le terme de schizophrène, restons courtois (…)Vous parler de pêché de jeunesse Monsieur Beaupuy, tout le monde ne peut pas se le permettre (…) Je n’ai aucun état d’âme d’avoir soutenu certains projets sous la précédente municipalité, mais je dénonce certaines gestions financières antérieures (…) Le projet de tramway était dans mon programme en 2001, contrairement à la liste concurrente. En 2008, j’ai soutenu ce projet dès le début, ce n’est pas le cas de certains membres de l’opposition actuelle ».

-Stéphane Joly (Verts) : « Avec ce débat d’orientations budgétaires, en sortant de la salle, nous serons moins inquiets et rassurés ».

-Catherine Vautrin (UMP) reprochant le manque d’un véritable plan de relance et l’instauration d’une taxe sur les enseignes des commerçants…

-Serge Pugeault : « Concernant les enseignes Madame Vautrin, nous appliquons la loi que vous avez votée (…). Puisque l’on parle de plan de relance, l’Etat avait alloué 8 M € en 1996 pour la rénovation des Halles, cette même somme plusieurs années après est allouée à l’édifice au titre de plan de relance de l’Etat ! ».
Finalement, pourquoi créer un festival culturel « Reims Scènes d’Europe », quand une séance de Conseil municipal peut parfois se muer en vaudeville.

When I was five, my mum and dad took me to a sleep clinic because my body clock was very wrong. I’d sleep in until about 3pm and not sleep until late at night. I think the doctor’s told them that I’d grow out of it and guess what? I never did.

Delayed sleep-phase syndrome (DSPS), also known as delayed sleep-phase disorder (DSPD) or delayed sleep-phase type (DSPT), is a circadian rhythm sleep disorder, a chronic disorder of the timing of sleep, peak period of alertness, core body temperature, hormonal and other daily rhythms relative to societal norms. People with DSPS tend to fall asleep some hours after midnight and have difficulty waking up in the morning.

I remember when I was little (this is probably how I used to watch The X-Files before I could read properly) and I used to get out of bed and Martin used to shout, “Charlotte’s out of bed!” and the thing was, it wasn’t my fault that I was awake late! My mum and dad obviously knew something wasn’t right because they took me to see someone about it. Even when I had a routine I was struggling with my sleep patterns. When I was at school and when I was at 6th form, I used come home from Chris’ at 10pm and sometimes if Martin was on the PC, I’d go straight to bed. It’d take me hours to fall asleep and I’d still have difficulty waking up in the morning. You could say that I’m awake all night because I sleep late – I’m up late because I’m awake all night. My body clock is messed up.

Often, people with the disorder report that they cannot sleep until early morning, but fall asleep at about the same time every “night”. Unless they have another sleep disorder such as sleep apnea in addition to DSPS, patients can sleep well and have a normal need for sleep. Therefore, they find it very difficult to wake up in time for a typical school or work day. If, however, they are allowed to follow their own schedules, e.g. sleeping from 4 a.m. to noon, they sleep soundly, awaken spontaneously, and do not experience excessive daytime sleepiness.
The syndrome usually develops in early childhood or adolescence,[1] and sometimes disappears in adolescence or early adulthood. Depending on the severity, it can be to a greater or lesser degree treatable. Prevalence among adults, equally distributed among women and men, is approximately 0.15% or three in 2000.

I think now that I don’t have a routine, it’s really prevalent. It says on the Wikipedia that it’s responisble for 7-10% of people’s chronic insomnia so yay me! ¬_¬ I can literally stay up all night even if I had to get up early. I do not have a regular sleep pattern. Funny thing is, when I go on holiday, I have a perfectly normal one! I can still go to bed late and wake up at a semi normal time!

The major feature of these disorders is a misalignment between the patient’s sleep pattern and the sleep pattern that is desired or regarded as the societal norm…. In most circadian rhythm sleep disorders, the underlying problem is that the patient cannot sleep when sleep is desired, needed or expected.

That last bit is true and so incredibly annoying! It’s usually when I have to get up early and just cannot sleep! The article is an interesting read and it tells you a bit more about me and my sleeping issues. There’s loads more I can quote – bits that I nodded at and it rang true with me. It’s good that I finally understand my issues! (Well, not all of them )

I would say, ’so onto other things’ but I have nothing else to say. Well, Raj and I are talking about Vincent Van Gogh and how I relate to him (I actually to, don’t mock me!!!). My mum even said that “Vincent” by Don McClean could be about me. No one appreciates me or my art! (by art, I mean my photography and writing. If you want to see my photograpy, there’s a link on the right ). Maybe people will understand me before I go mad and top myself. As the song says, no one understands me and no one is willing to. But that’s ok. I don’t need people’s approval. At least all the time.

X-Factor time and Stacey is on. I love her, I think she’s great. I said last week that I want her or Joe to win, definitely! Her singing was good but the song was a bit dull.

Before there’s even an intro, we see the aftermath of an Outsiders beatdown with chairs in-hand as they interrupted a Nasties vs. High Voltage vs. Ciclope/Galaxy triangle match that occurred prior to the broadcast. They head over to Tony and Larry Z’s ringside announce table to tell them and everybody watching that the new World order can make you laugh (as they did for Tony Schiavone last week) and they can also be extremely deadly. Nash flicking Tony on the head is pretty hilarious though. WHO’S LAUGHING NOW, FAT BOY? After they leave, Meng and Barbarian are waiting to attack them backstage as they fight out of the building!

After a short break, Larry Z tries to calm Tony down and reminds him that they didn’t hurt him or anything, but he’s got five kids (wow!) and a wife. He doesn’t need to put up with this kind of abuse, so he leaves the broadcast for the rest of the show.

• Juventud Guerrera vs. La Parka
  

Here is La Parka’s WCW debut. Mike Tenay comes out and joins Larry Z for the rest of the first hour. They do some kip-ups from chops to start. La Parka dumps out Juvi for a suicide dive. Back in, Juvi pushes La Parka off the top turnbuckle onto the top rope and then takes him down onto the mat with a springboard headscissors! Cover, 1-2-NO! Quebrada gets another two. Juvi sets up for another springboard, but La Parka dropkicks him in mid-air. Back to the floor, La Parka delivers the Eddie Guerrero stage dive. Back inside, La Parka delivers a powerbomb for two. Juvi escapes a surfboard and drills La Parka with a missile dropkick for two. La Parka misses a corner charge and takes a whole BUNCH of turnbuckle smashes. Another springboard headscissors out of the corner gets two for Juvi. Ugh, Guerrera delivers one ugly looking spinning hurracanrana for two. La Parka misses something off the top and takes a Tornado DDT for two. However, La Parka blocks the Dragonsteiner and nails Juvi with a CORKSCREW SENTON for the 1-2-3. (9:22) Great TV debut for La Parka with loads of neat nearfalls on him, but Juvi just didn’t have the weight advantage over the big luchadore. ***¼

Video package shown to hype Ultimo Dragon as he looks to defend his newly-won J-Crown (short-lived unification of EIGHT lightweight championships from promotions around the world) against Rey Mysterio Jr at World War 3. We see some clips of him vs. the Great Sasuke in the J-Crown tournament final back on August 5.

• WCW World Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko vs. J-Crown Champion Ultimo Dragon (w/Sonny Oono)
  

OH SNAP. This should be good. Some nice mat stuff to start. Dragon hits the handspring back elbow, but Malenko immediately whips Dragon across for the corner clothesline. Some awesome counters lead to a nearfall sequence which leads to a Tiger Suplex from Dragon for two. They go to the floor for some guardrail action. Back in, Dragon elbows out of a back superplex, but misses the moonsault. Sonny Oono hops up on the apron once Malenko hooks on the TEXAS CLOVERLEAF. Malenko lets go of Dragon and flips Oono into the ring. Dragon goes to save his manager and takes a backdrop over the top to the floor. Oops, DQ! (4:02) Oh WCW and your inconsistencies over what is a toss over the top rope and what isn’t. Good for what it was and it’s got me looking forward to their match at Starrcade that nobody knows about yet. **½

• Amazing French Canadians (w/Col. Robert Parker) vs. The American Males
  

Parker debuts his new French Foreign Legion look. The American Males clean house to start so they can chant “USA” together. Back in, Jacques shows off a little bit. Riggs and Bagwell collide to cause a little problem. Oulette nails Riggs from the apron into a jumping back elbow from Jacques. In comes Oulette, as Jacques slams him on top of Riggs. Maybe they aren’t as good a gimmick as the Quebecers, but they’re still fun to watch. I’m a fan. Double hotshot to Riggs, but heel miscommunication ensues. HOT TAG TO BAGWELL! He completely owns the AFC with backdrops and dropkicks! DOUBLE NOGGIN KNOCKER! Jacques backflips to avoid another backdrop, but then Riggs knees Jacques into Bagwell and their heads collide. While the ref tries to get Riggs out of the ring, Oulette puts Jacques on top of Bagwell for the 1-2-3. (5:25) Fun little formula match to continue the problems between the American Males. *½

• Lex Luger vs. Hugh Morrus
  

Another week, another TORTURE RACK! (4:22) Luger is on a roll! Surely he’s the guy who will win the 60-man battle royal at World War 3! After the match, Sting quietly interrupts Luger’s post-match interview with Gene Okerlund. He points his baseball bat at Luger and then shoves him back into the corner with it. What’s Sting going to do? He turns the bat around, gives it to Luger, and leaves through the crowd. Luger has nothing to say about what just happened. *

HOUR NUMBER TWO! Your hosts are Eric Bischoff, Bobby Heenan, and Mike Tenay.

Flashback to last week’s Saturday Night: Tony Schiavone conducts a meeting between Nick Patrick, his lawyer, Teddy Long, and Chris Jericho. Teddy says something about Jericho being able to beat Nick Patrick with one arm tied behind his back any day of the week. The lawyer guy takes him up on that and we’ve got another match signed for World War 3!

• Chris Jericho vs. Johnny Grunge
  

Seems like an odd match. Nick Patrick comes out to get a closer look at the match. Grunge ends the feeling out process with a back suplex. Jericho lands on his feet after Grunge moves away from a moonsault press, but gets nailed with a clothesline. We go to the floor as Jericho nails Grunge with a springboard dropkick off the apron. Grunge gets desperate and grabs a chair. He hotshots Jericho and sits him down in a chair for a running clothesline. Now Grunge slides in a table and sets Jericho up on it. Is he going to splash himself and the chair on top of Jericho? Nope. Jericho moves and hits a missile dropkick for the 1-2-3. (5:22) How is bringing a table and a chair in the ring not a DQ? Anyways, decent enough for somebody like Johnny Grunge who isn’t known to be a singles worker. ¾*

Hollywood Hogan, Ted DiBiase, Vincent, and Elizabeth all come over to take control of the announce table. Heenan gets the heck out of Dodge. Hogan gets on the mic and demands Bischoff to tell the world that he’s the bigger icon of wrestling than Piper, that he’s scared to death of Hogan, and that he’s a hundred times richer than Roddy Piper. Of course Bischoff says he disagrees but he’ll say whatever Hogan wants. That’s all Hogan wanted to hear.

Over to Gene Okerlund, he’s standing by with Diamond Dallas Page. He says he still refuses to be the eighth pick for the new World order. Hall, Nash, Giant, and Syxx stop by to tell DDP that he doesn’t get it. You don’t get it? He doesn’t get it.

Bobby Heenan and Mike Tenay return to the announce position.

• Jeff Jarrett vs. Bobby Eaton
  

Extremely short. Jarrett struts and we go to the floor for some guardrail stuff. Back in, Jarrett hits the Bossman straddle and gives Eaton a suplex for the FIGURE-FOUR. That gets the win. (2:19) Here comes Ric Flair. Of course he’s got his arm in a sling. Flair says that no matter what Benoit and Mongo may say, Flair gives Jarrett his full endorsement as a member of the Four Horsemen while he’s away. We see Sting watching on from the rafters. WOO! ½*

• Big Bubba (w/Jimmy Hart) vs. Jim Powers
  

During the match, Bischoff explains how he’s still unable to get Roddy Piper to sign for a match against Hogan. Bubba controls much of the match until Powers comes back like a good ’80s babyface. Turnbuckle smashes and the Knee Lift connects, but then he runs into a BUBBA SLAM for the 1-2-3. (3:54) Filler. ½*

• Chris Benoit (w/Woman) vs. Eddie Guerrero
  

This is a return match from the night after Halloween Havoc when both men were so banged up and couldn’t compete at the usual fast-paced high-impact level. Guerrero slows Benoit down early with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Eddie lands on his feet out of a monkey flip, but charges into the CRIPPLER CROSSFACE! Luckily Eddie makes the ropes. Eddie comes back with a Hilo for two. Benoit comes back with a series of suplexes in order to keep Guerrero on the mat. He’s stretching Eddie like he’s back in Stu’s Dungeon! Commercial break. We return to see Eddie taking Benoit down with a headscissors. Benoit hangs Guerrero out to dry and gets a superplex. Delayed cover gets two. Eddie takes Benoit to the floor and Woman gets in the way to temporarily help her man. Back inside, Guerrero delivers a back suplex to set up for the FROG SPLASH, but Eddie rolls through when Benoit moves. Eddie goes for a hurracanrana, but Benoit rolls through that into a sunset flip for the 1-2-3! (9:23 shown) Nice finish. One of the best Nitro matches we’ve seen in MONTHS. ***½

Eric Bischoff is in the ring to tell the crowd that Roddy Piper still has not signed a contract to face Hollywood Hogan, but he’s going to do everything he can to make this- IS THAT BAGPIPES I HEAR? The crowd goes insane as Roddy Piper walks out the tunnel. Bischoff doesn’t look too happy to see him and Piper has got his FIGHTIN’ EYES going. He’s here to tell some truth because he’s never heard more lies in his life than when he was telling them. Piper calls Bischoff a liar and the crowd seems confused, but Bischoff looks 1000% guilty. Did you have a nice flight to Portland? Is the path to his ranch straight or crooked? He grabs Bischoff and calls him a “little piece of poop” as the Giant and the rest of the new World order grab Piper (except for Hogan who comes out when Piper has been stopped). Hogan embraces Bischoff and reminds everybody that Eric runs WCW and now he works for the nWo! Hogan continues to denigrate Piper by calling him a coward and how he was nobody before he fought Hogan. A bunch of policemen come down and have to restrain Piper while the nWo pose and watch Piper while they head to the back. Before we go, Piper says he’ll be at World War 3 with the contract for his match with Hogan in his teeth! No surrender! No retreat! Kiss his butt, Hogan.

AND WE OUT! Finally, a great episode of Nitro.

Miss Annie Clark (St. Vincent) has been touring Europe with Grizzly Bear lately(sadly, I missed them). This time, a collaboration with Grizzly Bear’s guitarist Daniel Rossen has been recorded and put up on YouTube, I believe it was recorded in Basel, Swistzerland.

It’s not the first time Annie teams up with a tour mate, think John Vanderslice and Andrew Bird(but it’s not a rare thing for Bird too). The two played a guitar only version of ‘The Party’ from St. Vincent’s latest album ‘Actor’.

Deux postures possibles au PS après l’épisode du week-end, qui a vu Ségolène Royal jouer les trouble-fête à Dijon au rassemblement organisé par son ancien allié Vincent Peillon. Garder ses distances, comme Jospin qui dit ne pas vouloir s’en mêler ou Aubry qui n’a pas réagi ; ou jouer les accablés en lâchant un commentaire excédé et plus ou moins laconique.

C’est Jack Lang qui a ouvert le deuxième groupe dimanche en se disant «atterré» de «l’attidude (de Royal) au cours de ce week-end et qui jette sur le parti socialiste une certaine forme de discrédit».

Registre plus deuxième degré pour Aurélie Filippetti, députée de Moselle et ex-proche de Royal, qui surfe sur l’actualité ce lundi en proposant, «à l’heure où il y a une proposition de loi qui a été déposée pour interdire la fessée», de «rétablir la fessée au Parti socialiste pour nous rappeler à la réalité». «Ça ferait plaisir au moins aux 17 millions d’électeurs qui nous avaient fait confiance à la présidentielle et qui ne supportent plus ces guéguerres de personnes et le spectacle désolant que l’on donne parfois de nous-mêmes.»

Son homologue de l’Essonne Manuel Valls, qui n’était pas à Dijon et s’en félicite, qualifie aussi d’«absurde et pathétique» le raté dijonnais. Au passage, le candidat aux primaires pour la présidentielle de 2012 ne se prive pas de pointer le «problème de cohérence et de crédibilité» de Royal: ses «prises de positions», la manière dont «elle s’est invitée à une réunion à laquelle elle n’était pas désirée» sont «une manière de faire de la politique qui est ancienne», a-t-il taclé Canal+. Et d’enterrer l’Espoir à gauche, le courant de Vincent Peillon né à Reims, qui est «derrière nous, et n’a plus beaucoup de sens».

«Mauvais épisode»

«Lamentable», s’est de son côté borné à commenter Laurent Fabius. Un adjectif «qui a dû être ressenti par beaucoup de gens»,pense l’ancien adversaire de Royal aux primaires pour la présidentielle, interrogé lors d’une conférence de presse sur la réforme territoriale au siège du PS, rue de Solférino.

Un «mauvais épisode» pour le député PS de Seine-Saint-Denis Claude Bartolone, qui tente un rappel à l’ordre: «Les socialistes doivent savoir que la gauche les attend sur la définition d’un autre projet beaucoup plus que sur un comportement individuel.»

Tendance maître d’école aussi chez Pierre Moscovici, qui«souhaite que cela cesse»: «J’ai pu observer cette mauvaise querelle de loin», a commenté le député PS du Doubs, interrogé par l’AFP. «Je pense que ces attitudes agressives, ces violences verbales en public» pour savoir qui est le leader d’un courant,«tout ça est négatif». Il faut que «les socialistes se remettent au boulot sur l’essentiel», c’est-à-dire «le projet».
