I’m sure I will work out a balance soon enough, or at least find some more discipline to my schedule when I am finished at work and the day is ahead of me. Today I attempted to do just that and, avoiding all other things that distract me like housework and emails, sat at the machine and made a bag just for my shop. I found a vintage childrens curtain in the op-shop the other day, and fell so in love with it that I simply had to make a Tote Bag out of it. I’m rather pleased with the result, I like the way it looks with it’s odd little hippos and those beautiful prime colours. Then I made a few napkins from blue gingham for when the kids get home to have their afternoon snack, as they do love having somehting to wipe their hands on, and it felt like time for something new. There was even half an hour in the garden yanking weeds, though I admit to a few making it indoors to vases. There – that’s not too bad when it comes to balance.
