Geetu’s friend Menaka (Samita Bangargi) watches Somu and Tara together and informs to Geetu. Geetu comes to London to catch her husband red handed. On the other hand Ravi Kapoor (Aashish Chaudhary), is following girls to get marry. How Somu escaped from her wife and how Ravi find his girl is the remaining story.

Yep this was my poetic review of the music of Pyar Impossible… I tried my best to give a good review…  it’s good to see 3 out of 5 Viva gals in a single album with music of Salim Suleiman.. This time no sufiyaana andaaz… just youthful numbers…

Have you guys seen High School Musical esp in hindi (m sure princess sure has )

well so if those songs in HSM if they were to be recreated by Indian music directors and sung by proper playback singers this is how the album would sound..

I won’t give a down down review of this… the album is def listenable esp if ur a peppy-spunky song fan… u wud relish it completely

that’s why just an average review of 2.5/5.. Could have been better though… I wud have given it a 3 but then most of the songs were similar sounding..

And also they remind me of I-Think-I-Have-Heard-This-Tune-Before feel.. And hence only 2.5….

you can listen to it definitely they are youthful, fun, setting the mood to a refreshing state.. I liked it but I may get bored after some 15-20 times of listening 

unlike kurbaan which I can listen even now whilst the film has released and flopped miserably..

sighh..!! well thats my review of Pyar Impossible… and liking it is not impossible.. .very very possible but chances of the songs lingering back on your mind is def a tad impossible  :D

Avantika is a teacher in a university in Delhi. She has come back from New York where she teaches, because her father has suffered a heart attack. During this period, she meets a temporary Professor called Ehsaan Khan. Soon they begin seeing each other and love blossoms. A few months later, Avantika receives a call from her university in New York, asking her to come back for the Fall Semister. Avantika breaks the news to Ehsaan. He in turn, tells her he doesn’t mind coming to the States with her, to find a job. But first they need to get married. Soon after the marriage, they leave to start a new life in New York. They buy a house in an Indian neighbourhood and move in. Just as they are setting up home, their conservative Muslim neighbours, Hamid and Anjum, invite them over for dinner. The next morning, Salma, one of the women Avantika met the night before at the dinner, visits her under the pretext of gifting her sweets. When Avantika invites her in, Salma tells her that she is in grave danger. Nothing is what it seems. Salma pleads with Avantika to help her. What follows next, is a series of incidents that sucks Avantika into a vortex of danger and intrigue. As her life spirals out of control, Avantika realizes that she is a pawn in a huge game. And no one is to be trusted.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan starring Kurbaan(2009) has very refreshing music given by Salim- Sulaiman and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.  Shukran Allah is one of the very romantic number from the movie. It is sung by Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and Salim Merchant. The title track Kurbaan Hua sung by Vishal Dadlani also sounds great.

Vivek Oberai and Dia Mirza will also be seen in this Rensil D’Silva film.  This is a story about a terrorist who marries a girl and settles abroad to cover his identity and then keeps her in house arrest.

These off screen lovers will be giving extremely sensuous scenes on screen too.

Overall Album:

Picks: Actually, all of them. The vibe of this album is of one big concert. Either you’ll like the vibe and enjoy the entire album or dismiss it as monotonous. I’d recommend giving it a try because you’ll hear some promising new male singers on whom Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy have built a lush, high-energy album.

I’ll gladly take back the complaints I issued for the dismal album that was Short Kut. Because, apparently, S-E-L saved up their energy and singing power for this one.

London Dreams is one large uninterrupted dose of rock, frenzied electric guitar riffs, percussion that will not let up and almost all male singers singing in pitches that will wear you out if you tried to sing along. It’s the kind of music that, when the song ends, leaves you exhausted from having tapped your foot along with the beat. The film is about the journey of two men, one of the kind that has to work hard to be famous and another that has fame dropped on him purely for being the more charismatic of the two, and Asin mucking it up between the two of them. I’ll let you work out who is who among the two men, but I’m hoping that London Dreams can bring back the magic that happened the last time Salman and Ajay were together on screen.

The album begins with Barson Yaaron by Vishal Dadlani and Roop Kumar Rathod – that combination being novel enough, Roop Kumar Rathod gets to sing his lungs out at the top of the register while Vishal honors his rock roots completely. Man Ko Ati Bhavey is Shankar Mahadevan’s party, a song entirely in hindi except for one iteration of the word ‘Bebe’ as ‘Baby’ (trivia for you…) and contains delightful phrases like “Main hoon sampoorna magan”. That every chorus ends in “Hai re Hai” should give you an idea of the overall point of the song. No? Here’s Salman grooving to it.

Next up, Tapkey Masti by a new singer named Feroz Khan (a quick search on Google shows links to some Punjabi singer, might be the same guy). When I heard this song the first time, I thought, Sukhwinder Singh, but better. He has the kind of full-throated reach that Sukhwinder Singh used much to his advantage in the famous Chaiyya Chaiyya, and is able to add extra ornamentation even at the very high notes. He makes a return appearance in the Tapkey Masti (Remix) which is a good listen as well.

Next, my favorite, Khanabadosh for the concert-song feel, the lyrics about dreams and hopes and ambitions, and the wonderful new singer named Mohan. The best comparison I can find for him, is Adnan Sami but more full-throated. He does a beautiful job of taking you along on the same journey as that of the characters in the film. The anthem-like treatment of Khanabadosh – Google tells me it’s a “Sufi word meaning one who carries his house on his shoulders”, sweet! – with the chorus echoing almost every phrase the singer sings, lulls you into this head-bobbing state with a tune that’s many-layered and memorable. Khanabadosh (Remix) distinguishes itself with a crisper beat and more synthesizer melodies layered on Mohan’s singing.

Khwab Jo is a melodic, melancholy song performed very well by Shankar Mahadevan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Both Shankar and Rahat get a chance to throw in ornamentation, hit high notes comfortably and create this lush song that still resonates after the song has ended.  Yaari Bina is slightly an odd-duck – Roop Kumar Rathod, accompanied by Milind (new guy?), starts off what sounds like a typical Sufi number. Then it transitions to what sounds like a typical Yash Raj Punjabi number meandering along on the lower register, then Roop Kumar Rathod starts belting it out in the higher registers to a more pronounced Bhangra beat. Sort of meh, but the singing is good as always. It sounds like the kind of pointless high-register singing that populated Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.

Jashn Hai Jeet Ka is one of the two anguished songs in the album, performed by another new singer Abhijeet Ghoshal (who is he, and is he related to the other Ghoshal..? Google couldn’t tell me). You could draw a parallel between this song and Main Kya Hoon from Love Aaj Kal. Shola Shola is the second of the anguished songs, and is sung by the fifth new singer of the album (if you’re keeping count), Zubeen Garg. The theme of the song seems to be to “egg the flames on”, and if you read the movie preview as I have, you might guess that it is about the widening rift between the two principal characters. Zubeen puts in great ornamentation in the song, making the song a good listen.

This is not another Rock On – there are a lot of pop and Bhangra sensibilities to the songs which necessarily make London Dreams different from the rock genre that informed Rock On. Farhan Akhtar could do only so much in the songs he sang for Rock On, but here, there are plenty of very talented singers pretend-singing to rapturous 10,000+ concert audiences. I look forward to the film, and I hope you guys have as good a time listening to the album as I did.

When Hanuman Chalisa stole the show…

With an excellent addictive hook and a high octane pacing,Barson Yaaron is a veritable delight.It combines the bouncy rock sound,something the trio have by now perfected,with their own JBJ sound.In fact the song itself is a portmanteau piece with Vishal Dadlani crooning half the song while Roop Kumar Rathod takes over in the latter half adding a more sober,soulful touch to the song(His rendition of the chalisa set to a trance like rhythm is bizarre joy).

Man Ko Ati Bhavey is admirable for it’s attempt to try something different:Those *pure* hindi lyrics along with Shankar’s trifling singing is an unabashed tribute to that rip roaring song from Padosan:Ek Chatur Naar.Not by any means extraordinary,it passes off well for it’s frivolity.

Tapkey Masti is rather staid and predictable with all those familiar techno dhol beats,although Feroz Khan’s rendition is expressive.And SEL better re-invent their choruses:the one here is done to death and comes across as juvenile in the midst of such a fervid song.Another such song that makes it presence later on is the Abhijit Ghoshal sung,Jashn Hai Jeet Ka though this is marginally better and engaging.

The opening interlude of Khanabadosh just goes to show how ingrained in our minds is Rahman’s music.Just three beats;Your heart looses control and your mind blurts Masti Ki Paathshaala.Even those three thumps point to nothing more than a subliminal moment of reminisce with realisation.And from thereon it is SEL’s effort all the way.Ostensibly the title song,it manages to strike an impressive balance between the modern rhythm patterns and the more vintage qawwali format,with latter hymn like portions taking the cake.

Khwab Jo is certainly the stuff of dreams.First up,it is a remarkable collaboration-Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shankar Mahadevan.Both brilliant singers with sound classical bases.And as is destined to happen sparks do fly-The melody is tuneful and the jugalbandi is absorbing if not arresting,with both singers,effortlessly,towering over the song making it the definitive song of the album.

The folkish Yaari Bina is an ode to friendship as is the wont of the film.Roop Kumar Rathod sings with a flourish even as the simple,sinuous tune is endearing.The entire song though extending to 4 & 1/2 minutes is encapsulated within two lengthy stanzas.

Zubeen Garg vocals have a certain exotic quality to them as was evidenced in his earlier outings as well.Here too,in Shola Shola,his vocals are the standout in a meandering song.The refrain is pathetic but the breezy interludes give it a certain elevation.

London Dreams has an uncharacteristic and partly off-colour SEL at the helm of affairs and on first impressions this seems to be a good departure from,what can be defined as, their Luck By Chance sound,which though enjoyable was getting repetitive.It indeed offers an interesting assortment of songs but fails to satisfy and satiate totally for what has been touted as a musical.

First things first, I know a lot of you are as passionate as I am about this decision the Government has taken to have the statue erected in the ocean and I am really grateful for your support and your kind words. But sadly, that is not enough!

I spoke with my lawyer and he told me that 8000 people is a drop in the ocean and if we need make a serious impact, we should show our strength in numbers!

Please do not consider your job done if you have just signed the petition, we need a movement and an uprising against such a decision by the Government. Do tell all your friends and get them to sign this petition and lets strive to get 25,000 by this weekend and submit that to the court!In Lucknow, the construction of the so called “memorial parks” has been stopped and they have been asked to vacate the construction sites immediately! With enough of us going ahead with this, we can achieve the same in Mumbai!

After proving her acting mettle in recent films Fashion and Dostana, Priyanka might be lending her melodious voice in a forthcoming film. If rumours are to be believed, Bollywood’s ‘desi girl’ has been approached by music composer Vishal Dadlani to sing in her next film.

will make her singing debut in her forthcoming flick Anjana Anjani.

Apparently, she is following in the footsteps of Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor.

Vishal, who is composing music for the film, asserts that Priyanka has a good voice and that she would make a good singer. “Priyanka has been
thinking about it and it would be wonderful if she sings for the film,” he said.The film, where the actress has been paired opposite
B-town’s lover boy Ranbir Kapoor, might turn out to be her debut as a singer if she agrees to Vishal’s proposal.

Although Priyanka has been focusing on acting so far, we bet the desi girl won’t disappoint her fans by trying her luck at singing too!

Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey is already setting the airwaves on fire with it’s brilliant music.

Vishal Bharadwaj has earlier directed music for movies like Omkara, Hu Tu Tu, Satya and Maachis.

In Kaminey movie he brings together singers like Sukhvinder Singh, Vishal Dadlani, Kailash Kher and Sunidhi Chauhan.

The Kaminey songs already have a huge fan following. The play list includes Dhan Te Nan, Fatak and Raat Ke Dhai Baje.

Kaminey is one of the most promising movies on the horizon. It is yet another show of brilliance by director and music composer Vishal Bharadwaj.

After Omkara, Nishabd and Maqbool, Kaminey teasers with the track Dhan Te Nan is catchy and the kinda tune that goes round and round and round in your head. The singers who strike the right note are Sukhwinder Singh, Vishal Dadlani and Robert Bob Omulo.

Borrowing admirably from film noir brand of music Vishal Bharadwaj creates a track of infectious quality in Dhan Te Nan.Note how the MD builds up the momentum till the hook line.Predictably tantalising.Vishal Dadlani and Sukhwinder,for one,make an utterly mismatched duo,atleast on paper.But Vishal,the MD,uses them to brilliant effect.Notwithstanding Gulzar’s funky lyrics it is the racy tune that is predominantly dominating.Fatak is more the Vishal Bharadwaj brand of music and though it is more mod in the arrangements the rustiness of Sukhwinder and Kailash trickles down to delicious effect.Both create an upbeat jugalbandi of sorts with quick repartees and intercuts.The ending,in true Gulzar style is a touch dramatic and sanguine.Transcendental in every aspect,the title track stumps you from the word go.Never did I imagine or expect a softly orchestrated,delicately rendered song to be the title track of a Vishal Bharadwaj movie,especially that of Kaminey.Enchanting.Raat Ke Dhai Baje brings on an ensemble cast of singers on board and each of them do their bit adding their unique timbre and tenor to the rather staid tune.Of all Rekha Bharadwaj’s sui generis innocent yet barnyard vocals stand out.Gulzar more than ever in this OST takes centerstage with his masterful Pehli Baar Mohabbat.Mohit Chauhan is well disposed for such songs and he excels.Finding him in the OST though,is like finding a diamond inside an oyster.The retroly imagined Go Charlie Go theme is neatly done.

Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey was,to state the obvious,destined to do well and the only uncertainty that remained was the measure of it’s success.Let there be no doubt-Kaminey is delectably sassy in a loony-goony way!
