<p>The plants in the vertical garden are watered by rainwater collected on the roof.  It&#8217;s a women&#8217;s clothing &#38; houseware store from America (owned by the same company as Urban Outfitters).  I would go check it out sooner than later.  It&#8217;s pretty neat to see this kind of visual merchandising happening&#8230; try listening to the people&#8217;s reactions.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Today we visited the <a href="http://www.ralphpucci.net/">Pucci Gallery</a> in New York.  The place was absolutely stunning &#8230; every piece is elegant, timeless, and so well made. I think Ralph Pucci is actually famous for their mannequins but we didn&#8217;t get to see any today which is a shame but I&#8217;ll be going back in December when they have them on display!</p>

<p>The first thing I noticed was the bright red wall and Manuel Geernick&#8217;s installation.  All the pieces are stapled and pinned up with push pins but together it looks really interesting.</p>

<p>I love the combination of the mustard colored chair and the Bauhaus themed carpet.  The carpet is so beautiful it could easily be mistaken for art.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">First: WORK.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">My sisters, Diane and <a href="http://jackkaye.wordpress.com">JackKaye</a>, flew to Manila to handle pre-opening operations for our first branch at the nations capital. <a href="http://wagw.multiply.com">WAGW</a> is opening in Robinson&#8217;s Galleria on OCTOBER 30! That means I&#8217;m left to handle more visual merchandising and mannequin-styling for the Visayas (SM and Ayala Cebu) and Mindanao (LimKetKai CDO) branches. Doesn&#8217;t that sound pretty awesome?</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">More and more mannequins are starting to dress like me HAHA. I tried to diversify the styles a bit, but I guess my personal style still came out eventually. I also had to dress up the male mannequins for WAGW FHM (For her man). I have absolutely no experience when it comes to styling men, so this was actually my very first chance to try it out. I made each mannequin dress up like the guys I see in school (i.e. Gian Lao, Hanz Go, Raymond Ang, and Pat Angeles HAHA) Sorry, this is the best I can do.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">On top of mannequin styling, I had to fix the display area and the show window for both WAGW and WAGW FHM. I was really running out of ideas, since I had limited stock to work with, so I tried to be creative and resourceful! I matched basic tops with neckpieces that I created out of printed stockings tied together. Maybe all these CADs costumes are influencing me too much. I added some high waisted shorts and accessories to go with the shirts, and some strategically placed scarves (since we ran out of stockings) on the foot of the window for the finishing touches. I think this is a far throw from what my sister usually creates on  the window frame, but&#8230; change is good! I hope. :&#124;</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">And lastly, I had to create a display for the FHM window frame. First, I opted to go for the halloween vibe: Orange, Black and some skulls to go with it, but I thought it was too overused, and no one really wears orange and black on halloween anyway. So instead, I got some black shirts with neon graphics printed on them and put bow ties and mini neckties on the collar. That plus some hanging/floating hats, belts and shoes (no picture) and my work is finally done!</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">Oh, the driving lessons have finally made their way into my schedule after the looooong procrastination period. I had my last lesson just a while ago. I think I&#8217;m getting the hang of it. Sure, I almost bumped a couple of cars and people on the way, but thats part of it right? HAHA. I wan&#8217;t to give a HUGE thank you to Mike for being my driving buddy, even if all he does is sleep in the car. His presence reassures me that if I crash into someone, he&#8217;s there to take the blame. (JUST KIDDING MIKE). I like it that he&#8217;s able to sleep while I&#8217;m driving. It means the ride is too soothing and smooth to stay awake. <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p style="text-align:center;">Finally finally, I&#8217;ll have time to go back to the gym. And maybe do some swimming, if time permits. 11 more days &#8217;til Manila, 12 more days &#8217;til class. SIGH. Somehow, its hard to part with my very last semestral break.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I admit to being quite partial to my daily latte from Starbucks, but never have I been tempted by their food offer &#8211; cheap and nasty looking pastries in a soulless and uninspiring counter display.  How many people have I seen grab their morning coffee from Starbucks only to choose their breakfast treat from the Paul&#8217;s nearby (where the displays are beautiful and product authentic). </p>
<p>But now Starbucks have done a re-haul with their food.  The Live Well range is a healthier and more wholesome affair with new products and better ingredients&#8230;but what&#8217;s interesting is how appealing and stylish it looks thanks to a chic but really simple black design theme &#8211; which includes the pack, marketing material and cleverly, the black &#8216;boards&#8217; which the products sit on.  It&#8217;s so effective that I catch myself staring at the food and contemplating a purchase.  On the occasions that I&#8217;ve visited, the counters have been pretty empty so I&#8217;m wondering if I&#8217;m not alone with these thoughts!</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I spent yesterday afternoon styling mannequins for WAGW. Visual merchandising seems very appealing! True, its tough work to try and make everything look good with limited items at your disposal. The lack of which, however, actually creates a challenge which strangely entices me. Possibly a future career path? Considerable.</p>

<p>The girls are coming over today for the sleepover! Finally, I get to see them! I don&#8217;t know why I&#8217;ve gotten so lazy lately. I keep passing on invites to go out and have fun, despite people&#8217;s senior-year-its-our-last-sem-break rantings. Last night, Dad even asked me why I&#8217;ve been staying in. Something tells me I&#8217;m getting too old for this. I&#8217;d rather spend time playing with the kids, having late night food cravings (courtesy of <a href="http://jackkaye.wordpress.com">JackKaye</a>) or watch Boston Legal (enter never ending side comments) with dad. I&#8217;ve never really been much of a party girl. Admittedly, throughout my entire college life, I&#8217;ve never set foot in a bar/club/whatever you call it. Nope, not Embassy, not Fiamma, not any other bar where the night lives on. Somehow, a room full of sweaty drunk people raising their arms and jumping around just never appealed to me. Whenever classmates and friends hear this, they get so shocked and somewhat appalled.. as if I was missing half my life by not drinking the night away. Maybe I am. But then again, saves me worry from getting bad skin and a beer belly.  :P</p>

Sicuramente nei prossimi giorni, quando mi capiterà di passare di nuovo, le chiederò di punto in bianco se ha voglia di venire al cinema con me (a vedere un film splatter), lei mi risponderà di no, per tutta una serie di motivi: timidezza, perchè è già impegnata, per tattiche femminili che non posso stare ad indagare o semplicemente perchè non le vado a genio.<br />
E torneremo ad avere il canonico rapporto cliente-commessa.</p>
<p>In alternativa potrei fare il giro largo e sfoderare una canonica conversazione che ne so..sui vini passiti siciliani, pur non avendoli mai assaggiati, oppure sulla filmografia di Muccino, pur ignorandola completamente.<br />
No, non me la sento. </p>

<p>Hi Everyone,<br />
So, my newest passion is Visual merchandising. It&#8217;s the business which makes shoppers compelled to buy things. It&#8217;s the signs, the manequins, the lighting; those things that draw you into a store and make you want to buy, buy, buy. I&#8217;m thinking about making a career in it. Do to my new love, I have started taking pictures of displays I have found interesting and appealing to me. This one is from a mall in Taipei City, Taiwan. If you are a visual merchandiser or in the merchandising business please let me know what you think of them and any tips you might have. Thanks.<br />

A good Visual merchandiser need to know how to attract, develop interest and increase the desire in customers mind and finally convert it into action (sale). It is a good tool to achieve sales and targets, a tool to enhance merchandise on the floor, and a mechanism to communicate to a customer and influence his decision to buy.</span></span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Molte sono le aziende che operano azioni comunemente chiamate <strong>di visual merchandising</strong>. Oggi più che mai troviamo una grande vastità di scelta di aziende che offrono gli stessi prodotti. Ne deriva l&#8217;esigenza di <strong>distinguersi</strong> dalla massa. L&#8217;obiettivo diventa colpire il cliente per condurlo verso il proprio <a href="http://mycollection.it">punto vendita</a>.</p>
<p>Si parla dunque di fidelizzazione e customerizzazione, cioè l&#8217;intenzione di personalizzare e organizzare la propria attività in funzione del cliente finale. Il visual merchandising si pone quindi lo scopo di <strong>&#8220;emozionare&#8221;</strong> il cliente coinvolgendolo in pieno, non solo per spingerlo all&#8217;acquisto ma anche per generare il ricordo dell&#8217;esperienza vissuta ed invogliarlo a ripeterla. </p>
<p>Ecco che il punto vendita si trasforma allora in una <strong>&#8220;vetrina&#8221; che conquista ed emoziona</strong>.</p>
<p>Sembra un impresa impossibile ma il concetto è più semplice di quanto sembra. L&#8217;individuo fa esperienza del mondo attraverso i 5 sensi (vista, olfatto, udito, gusto, tatto)&#8230;il negozio può puntare su uno, più di uno di questi o tutti. (Ovviamente il tutto viene pianificato dopo un&#8217;analisi delle vendite e del tipo di target a cui ci si rivolge.)</p>
<p>Possiamo guardare come esempio i criteri espositivi del Gruppo Sixty: i suoi marchi sono semplici e razionali e le sue collezioni sono già molto vivaci&#8230;così pure gli store in cui essi vengono inseriti.   </p>
<p>Curare quindi l&#8217;immagine del proprio punto vendita,<a href="http://www.mycollection.it">decorarne gli interni</a>, scegliere elementi distintivi che ci rendono ovunque riconoscibili  è uno degli aspetti fondamentali per catturare l&#8217;attenzione del consumatore.</p>

<p>Em Maringá fica a For Boys For Girls, loja com conceito completamente urbano criado por nós recentemente.</p>
<p>Usamos como referencia o urbano e o industrial, é visível a influência da street art no interior da loja, usamos stencil, stickers e lambe-lambes nas paredes, pela loja&#8230; carretéis e carrinho-de-mão, dando todo o ar moderno, criativo e completamente &#8220;da rua&#8221; para o interior da loja.</p>

<p>A arrumação da loja começou no dia 24 de setembro, a Marjorie esteve em Maringá para administrar e montar tudo da forma correta e também para ministrar um curso para os funcionários sobre &#8220;Visual Merchandising&#8221;, possibilitando o andamento da loja de forma  atrair sempre novos cliente e manter os já fieis a marca.</p>

<p>Os funcionários da loja fizeram todo um trabalho de equipe colaborando e sendo indispensáveis na montagem e arrumação da loja, foi um trabalho que exigiu bastante, mas que foi bem divertido também pelo ambiente descontraído.</p>

<p>No dia 12 de setembro foi inaugurada na Pompéia a &#8220;Márcia Chessa &#8211; Spazio Dei Bambini&#8221;, loja especializada em roupas para bebês e crianças.</p>
<p>Neste projeto cuidamos praticamente de tudo, desde o nascimento da marca até a arrumação da vitrine e do interior da loja, o resultado ficou incrível!</p>
<p>Para o logo queríamos algo divertido, leve, puro &#8230; como uma criança exatamente. Os elementos que encontramos para representar isso de forma harmoniosa foram o esquilo e a libélula.</p>
<p>O esquilo por ser conhecido também por &#8220;serelepe&#8221; representa o divertimento</p>
<p>A libélula por representar a pureza, a ilusão.</p>
<p>Juntos se complementam e se equilibram como positivo/negativo, masculino/feminino, lúdico/físico criando uma atmosfera criativa e divertida onde a imaginação flui livremente.</p>

<p>Olá PessoALL!</p>
<p>Já deu para perceber que as diferenças entre homens e mulheres vão muito além da anatomia. Se o seu negócio concentra-se no público feminino, é bom ficar atento a algumas dicas. Principalmente se você for homem.</p>
<p>Estas dicas servem para proprietários de pequenos negócios, escritórios e lojas em geral. Quer conquistar clientes do &#8220;sexo frágil&#8221;. Saiba que frágil é o seu poder de conquista no momento que uma mulherbate os olhos em seu workspace.</p>
<p>Antes de prosseguirmos, entenda que todos os itens abaixo são conclusões de diversos estudos de comportamento do consumidor, longe de serem frutos de mera especulação.</p>
<p><strong>Exterior</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Sinalização da rua/estrada/avenida/alameda/whatever: reze para que sua cliente encontre seu escritório/loja de maneira fácil. (Se ela estiver de TPM e não encontrar o endereço logo de cara, seu negócio e seu pescoço encontram-se em apuros);</li>
<li>Sinalização do estacionamento;</li>
<li>

<li>Iluminação do estacionamento;</li>

<li>Piso: limpo e sem manchas/marcas de sola;</li>
<li>Paredes: pintura em dia, limpas,  sem manchas de sujeira; cor &#8220;ornando&#8221; com o resto da loja;</li>
<li>Iluminação: sujeira/poeira nas luminárias; luminárias queimadas/necessidade de substituição;</li>
<li>Displays: poeira/sujeira, impressões digitais, iluminação adequada à característica do produto;  sinalização informativa e clara sobre produtos em destaque;</li>
<li>Mobília: poeira/sujeira/ marcas de riscos, desordem;</li>
<li>Corredores: sinalização clara e facilidade para transitar, largura adequada para a compra, carrinhos, cadeiras de rodas;</li>
<li>Banheiros: limpeza de pisos, paredes, janelas, portas, pias, vasos, toalhas, papel higiênico extra.</li>
</ul>
