A pint of the black stuff!

This… is Guinness. And in almost every bar in the world you would expect to find Guinness. But wait… We decided to run out of this glorious beverage in my place of employment (Legends Bar & Club). Now my understanding of the definition of “Legends” is as follows: 

 ”Legends are tales that, because of the tie to a historical event or location, are believable, although not necessarily believed.” 

Now I have a few issues with that statement.  In all of history, in any location; it is NOT believable that any bar has ever or will ever run out of Guinness. Therefore I have come to believe that the bar should not be called legends. No definitely not. Instead it should be called Wonderland. This is because only in Wonderland were the unthinkable can happen, were riddles such as “why is a raven like a writing desk” make sense, such a thing could happen like running out of Guinness. 

My goodness, Legends has no Guinness!

So enough of my Guinness rant… On the plus side I took my biggest collection of tips last night! woo hoo go me! £3.30, a pint of John Smith’s, and a bottle of Becks! £3.30 may not seem like much, however I am technically not working behind the bar so in actual fact it is jolly spiffing! My actual job title is “Bar Back”. The duties of a bar back include lifting shit up and taking it places, then packing said shit out. Which is actually very similar ot my previous job prior to promotion. By shit I do not mean actual faeces, I actually mean cases of alcohol. In fact… it is shit, why on earth would anyone desire to drink VK or K2???? VK stands for Vodka-Kick, but that is just the shortened title! The full title  is Vodka Except Devoid of Alcohol-Kick Includes Lots of Lovely Extra Rancid Shite… Thats right ladies and gentlemen… The VK are VEDA-KILLERS! They murder poor loaves of malted bread! :’( 

Fuck You VEDA!!!!!!!

I should be a detective or something!!! I have uncovered this sinister plot to exterminate Northern Ireland’s unique malted load of bread!! The consequences would be felt across the world, the ripples of this genocide would reverberate around the globe!! Shocking, I know! 

Anything but the Veda

 The consequences could be apocalyptic!! The seas would boil, the mountains would crumble, the sky would fall!!! Mayhem would ensue!! So it’s up to you, the people of this Veda loving world, to save the Veda!

Rock band cali≠gari has announced yesterday (11/18) at their Zepp Tokyo live that the band will suspend activities after their Nippon Budokan live on 2/11/10. They previously announced a hiatus period back in September, telling fans that after 11/18 show they were going to suspend activities.

They have also made a ‘movie’ making a public announcement on their official website.
