So I was wondering how long would it take to the fashion industry to take over the mediatic paranoia of the H1N1 virus and adopt it to fashion? Guess not that long! The November issue of the Vogue Italy just released a story with famous photographer Steven Meisel. A provocative layout inspired by the actual news. After the war in Iraq,  NSA, H1N1 is no exception for Steven! The set composed of masked scientists; oxygen tanks and antiviral push the story to an extreme fashion virus! A bit shocking considering that no later than last June CondeNast employees received a memo reporting that an employee was tested positive for swine flu!

Antes mesmo de receber a revista em casa ou de vê-la nas bancas todos já sabiam que Rihanna estaria na Vogue italiana de setembro.

Mas nada como folhear a revista, ver e rever o editorial com a cantora Rihanna, by Steven Klein. Ela está na capa do suplemento da edição de setembro da Vogue Italia.
Forte. Futurista. Dark.
Particularmente, gosto de ver os editoriais na sequência certa -  início, meio e fim – e não só ver fotos aleatórias na internet. Por isso, fiz um videozinho para vocês poderem ver como ficou o editorial completo.

Parace que Rihanna esqueceu mesmo a fase negra pós-Chris, o Brown. A cantora participou de um editorial para a Vogue Italy desse mês de setembro. As fotos são bastante sensuais mas de muito bom gosto.

Com cara de poucos amigos, Rihanna aperece de topless em uma das fotos, confiram:

Rihanna esteve espancada sumida. Seu ultimo ensaio fotográfico foi inspirado em Monster, em fevereiro. Depois de todo o seu tempo recluso, Riri tem aparecido causante pelas ruas de L.A com seus Louboutins, bolsas Channel e penteados Elvis style. Mas parece que ela tem tentado deixar o espancamento passado para trás e começar um novo capítulo em sua carreira – seu novo album está previsto para Dezembro deste ano.

Bom, a queridinha do gosto duvidoso encarna uma Grace Jones para as lentes do fotógrafo Steven Klein. Meu único comentário é: imprimiu bem!

Last week Rihanna added her name to the growing list of ladies who have shaved all or part of their heads.

Well, the songstress and fierce fashionista shaved her head for a photo spread Vogue Italy’s annual Black Issue.

“It was really done for an Italian Vogue shoot,” said Rihanna’s hairstylist Ursula Stephen during a phone interview with Sister 2 Sister. “It was crazy and I can’t wait until it comes out.”

Rihanna on her way out to dinner at Emilio’s Ballato restaurant yesterday night in New York City.

The spread was shot by photographer Steve Klein.

Well, Spring Break is finally here – what to do? I started it out with a nice 9-miler… or I intended to. I ended up doing only about 7 – and about 2 of those were walking (she said with great disgust). Also, a random dog followed me home. It was windy and rainy and not a very good day in general.
The reason I had to turn around (! grr…) was my hip [left] was hurting, which in itself would be bearable (but still not good). But this was shooting pain down my quad, causing it to cramp up and generally not be terribly cooperative with the rest of me, which wanted to move forward… or move at all… Anyway, after 3.3 of the slowest miles of my LIFE, I told L to keep going, I’d just run on my own. I stood at the intersection, my sweats covered with mud up to the knees, the wind whipping the drizzle around in a very dreary sort of way, and thought: 6 more miles? Noooo thank you. So I turned around and began my trudge back home. I did eventually get tired of walking – only about 1/2 or 3/4 of a mile – and started a running on-and-off thing. At the intersection that marked about 2 miles to go, I heard a dog running after me and freaked out a bit… until I looked back. A black lab puppy of some sort was following me. I petted it and yelled at it to go home, but it followed me more… all the way home. Several times, I had to yank on its collar to avoid me having to watch a dog get squished in the road. What a great day that would be.
So that’s my day so far… Needless to say, I’m disappointed in myself – err, moreso my hip/quad for being lame. But also me feeling like Ugh – why do I bother? But it’ll pass.

Plus I’m going prom dress shopping tomorrow for my friend Kirstyn, who absolutely hates shopping… that’ll be fun! (If I go to prom, I am so making my own dress. I refuse to wear one of those hideous pink shiny sparkly monstrosities that so many teenage girls seem to find stylish. Or something. Agh.

I hope to pop into F21, as I have basically no spring clothes. Here’s (some of) what I want:

Soooo yeah. I need a job… I might be a lifeguard this summer, depending on how a few things pan out…

Right then. News and fashion, comme toujours… ou recent, at least…

I don’t feel like giving my opinion on this, except that I want it all and AHHHHH. “Up-and-coming designer Erin Kleinberg makes the sort of comfy clothing that would look good lounging around the house or out on the town, which is why choosing girl-about-town Theodora Richards to lounge around the house for her fall ‘09 lookbook was kind of perfect. The Richards sister looks right at home in Erin’s oversized cardigans and drop-back dresses, and she’s definitely inspired us to wear our sheer thigh-highs with a pocket tee all throughout the summer months.
