Well, Skype ain’t no good for calling Russia. Het heeft altijd goed gewerkt, maar na de verhuis lukte het niet meer om naar mijne schoonthuis te bellen. De geluidskwaliteit was horriebel, en na updates allerhande werd het er niet beter op. Dan maar eens naar het Vlaams gsm-nummer van mijn schoonbroer gebeld, hetgeen perfect ging – maar: 0,211 € per minuut t.o.v. 0,055 € om te bellen naar een Russische gsm. Grappig.

Na een uur klooien met Skype kwam mijn vrouwke op het briljante idee om eens een ander programma te proberen. Zo gezegd, zo gedaan: Voipdiscount gedownloadereerd, en hallo? Niet alleen perfekte geluidskwaliteit, neen, we mogen ook nog eens 120 dagen gràtis bellen naar Rusland (en een hele hoop andere landen). Weg met Skype!
