Sony Ericsson W580 WALKMAN phone is the music phone that pure street style. This slim slider phone speaks volumes in urban cool while delivering the full-on Walkman phone music experience. It will store up to 470 full-length tracks, has a 2.0 megapixel camera tucked discretely within the slider itself, plus stacks of gaming, fun sports and entertainment features.

This latest Walkman phone pushes the boundaries of urban style. When the slider is closed the design, either in Style White or Urban Grey, is ice-cool, understated. Flick open the slider and the phone becomes a real attention grabber, revealing hot orange colour accents and stunning light effects along the sides.

At only 14mm thin, you wonder where the W580 finds room for all of that music, the camera and the fun applications. But it does, effortlessly, and there is no compromise on the full Walkman phone experience. As well as storing up to 470 full-length music tracks *, it is incredibly easy to get music from your computer into the phone, since the Disc2Phone music management software and USB cable all come in the box. You can even use TrackID to identify music tracks you don¡¯t recognise, regardless of whether they are playing out loud or via the phone¡¯s RDS FM Radio. With all this going on, make sure you take time to notice the light effects on the W580. Navigate to the Walkman player and they automatically change to a glowing orange colour.

With the W580 Walkman phone you can even take your favourite tracks to the track. It will count your steps, your calories and monitor your running speed/distance/time. Urban cool really does meet mobile entertainment with the W580. The 2.0 megapixel camera and fast connectivity make picture blogging and instant messaging second nature. 3D Gaming is fast action too with hit titles preloaded. Já estamos no próximo post. E desta vez um relato de como foi resolvido meu damn fuckin’ problem com o celular. Depois de aproximadamente dois meses com um aparelho emprestado e levando olés da assistência técnica finalmente, em 17 de julho, retirei meu aparelho. Bem, não exatamente meu aparelho, mas outro novo. E mais: outro modelo. eu tinha um K550i e foi substituido por um W580i. Não acho tão ruim, só sinto falta da luz de foto que, em momentos de necessidade transformava-se numa lanterna. Mas de qualquer forma, tenho o aparelho que seria minha próxima opção, um aparelho slide. É bonitinho, embora eu não escolheria a cor branca, mas justamente por isso eu gostei: a surpresa, a inovação direcionada a mim mesmo.

Bom, pra encerrar, este celular sobreviveu à prova das 12 horas (diferente do anterior) e estou me acostumando a ele. Prometo que se ele continuar funcionando como o anterior (que durou um ano), não mais postarei falando mal da Sony-Ericsson – da qual virei fã não só por causa das trocas, mas porque a interface e a velocidade são incríveis.

The Sony Ericsson W580i is a mid range slider style mobile phone in the Walkman series. The phone was announced on the 26th of March 2007 and was released in early August. It is a 2.5G Quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) GSM phone with EDGE capabilities and has a 2 Megapixelcamera.

It comes in “Style White”, “Boulevard Black”, “Metro Pink”, “Urban Grey”, “Jungle Green” and “Velvet Red”. The phone made an appearance in Ciara and 50 Cent’s music video, “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone“. The phone contains the ability to detect motion on a limited scale. For instance, the phone keeps track of how many steps you have taken. The W580i has a special feature, Shake Control, which also makes use of motion sensing. When listening to music in the Walkman feature, depressing the Walkman button and subsequently shaking the phone will select a song at random.

The W580i is the predeccessor to the Sony Ericsson W595.

Celebraba una fiesta de pijamas para presentar el Sony Ericsson W580i Hello Kitty de Orange, un modelo exclusivo para el mercado español. Así que decidí ir para mantener informada a mi bloggeramiga italiana Ángela, autora del blog mysonyericssonblog.  

Infinidad de globos rosas recibían a los invitados en la calle Pizarro, de Madrid. Nada más entrar, tenían que pasar por el vestuario donde, si no traían pijama, les prestaban uno. Cruzado el umbral, descubrían ante sus ojos varias camas, con sábanas de Hello Kitty y un árbol del que colgaban los nuevos terminales de Sony Ericsson y Orange, enteramente disponibles para el uso de los asistentes al evento.

“Cuando nos pidieron que organizáramos la presentación del nuevo móvil de Hello Kitty, se nos vinieron a la mente las típicas historias de adolescencia y así se nos ocurrió lo de la fiesta de pijamas”, comenta Carmen Gil, directora de Cool-Lines. Carmen Gil reconoce que era una apuesta arriesgada, pero había que intentarlo. “Hemos conseguido incluso que Ariadna Artiles traiga un vestido que recuerda mucho a un camisón”.

Además, cuenta con una cámara digital de 2.0 megapíxel, que se esconde bajo la tapa deslizante, e incorpora una funda y un adorno, ambos de Hello Kitty.

La famosa gatita, adoptada por la compañía japonesa Sanrio en 1976, dos años después de su creación, es también protagonista de un juego, un fondo de pantalla y un tema, preinstalados en el teléfono.
