Engineer merupakan makhluk yang presisi. Setiap lorong kehidupannya penuh detail uraian serpihan pikirannya. Tapi kadang malah lupa dengan yang esensial. Seperti halnya yang terjadi di Jumat sore itu. Selepas shalat asyar, manusia itu langsung murmuring melafalkan wirid yang biasa ia baca sehabis shalat fardlu. Setelah itu dia langsung berdoa dengan khidmad (karena dia tahu kalau saat itu adalah saat yang mustajab, saat terkabulnya doa). Lantunan doa-doa itu adalah:

Ya Allah, saya butuh W380i. Bentuknya flip, ada kameranya, bisa muter lagu, bisa GPRS dan bisa basa jawa sehingga saya bisa ngejalanin shMessenger, biar saya tetap bisa YM-an di sana-sini. Sebenarnya sih saya pengen yang W980i, tapi kayaknya kemahalan. Jadi ya W380i saja sudah cukup. Saya sudah “marem” kok. Toh “simbak itu” juga pake W380i.

Ya Allah, saya butuh istri baru! Sampean kan tahu, saya belum punya istri sama sekali. Satu istri dulu juga cukup. Speknya se muslimah, berpenampilan menarik, menguasai .NET atau J2EE, diutamakan yang memiliki sertifikasi CCNA atau Oracle. Eh maaf, ketuker sama lowongan programmer di kantor saya.

Ya Allah, saya butuh lolos test S2 nih. Nggak enak sama si bos kalo sampai nggak lolos. “Isin aku rek”. Sampean kan tau juga kalo si bos sudah bela-belain “ngasih” uang buat pendaftaran.

Ya Allah, saya pengen punya rumah pohon seperti yang di New York Times itu lho. Nggak papa lah kalo saya nanti dipanggil tarsan, yang penting saya bisa nangkring di atas pohon itu sambil coding dan mendengarkan simbak Mariah Carey melantunkan lagu Bye Bye. Sesekali nyeruput teh anget atau kopi hitam dingin.

Nampaknya engineer ini kelupaan pada satu permintaan terpenting, yaitu minta diampuni dosa-dosanya.

El teléfono Sony Ericsson Walkman W980i se adapta al entusiasta de la música. My personal rendezvous with the mobile world has brought me closer to many mobile devices. I liked some of them while some hardly impressed me at all. In this Blog of mine, I will be sharing my thoughts on the Sony Ericsson C902 and Sony Ericsson W980i mobile phones.

As far as I know, no mobile brand in the mobile world is more known for its audio quality than Sony Ericsson. The 2.0 inches TFT display of this phone helps the mobile users to access phone menus and applications without any fail. Its display offers 256,000 colours and that too, with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The Sony Ericsson C902 has 160 MB internal memory and comes with a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot. Now, coming to messaging options, this phone is a source of paradise with SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email and Instant Messaging. When it comes to Internet surfing, the phone has WAP 2.0/HTML (NetFront) browsers and RSS reader. Sound quality is brilliant and with the 8 illuminated camera touch keys, mobile usage is shining and refreshingly vibrant. The 5 MP camera of this phone offers an exceptional resolution of 2592 х 1944 pixels and has a secondary videocall camera. What more! This mobile phone also has FM radio with RDS, MP3/AAC/MPEG4 player, TrackID music recognition, Picture editor/blogging and Built-in handsfree to keep the interests going for long without a sense of boredom.

Handset vendors in the world’s fastest growing mobile phone market – India, have worked out the strategies, to be ready for the onslaught of the iPhone.

US-based Motorola, which already has an array of smart phones in the country, recently launched ROKR E8 in India. A music phone, it has features such as FastScroll navigation wheel (a navigation wheel like that in iPods) and haptics technology that transforms the device from a phone to a music player in one touch. This is in addition to other touchscreen phones including the MOTOMING A1200 and MOTOROKR E6.

Sony Ericsson is launching several new models in the high-end segment. Some of these include the X1i (a touchscreen phone with Qwerty keyboard and GPS facilities) under its Xperia series, the W980i (Walkman range) and C905i under the Cyber-shot range (with an 8-mega pixel camera).

Nokia, the leader with over 40 per cent of the global market share, is gearing up to offer touchscreen products soon. The Finnish company, which sold 60.5 million devices globally in 2007, has already rolled out 13.3 million converged devices in the second quarter of 2008.

Samsung is expecting its SCH-M800 Instinct, a high-end touch screen mobile phone, and Samsung F700 (another smart phone) to take on the new iPhone.

Jag är dålig på vardagsbilder. Jag har högvis med kul snapshots som aldrig blir något med. Eftersom de inte är tillfixade blir de inte visade, eftersom de inte är del av ett fotojobb så är det inte prioriterat att fixa dem, och jag får sällan tummen ur att photoshopa privata bilder. Slutsats av denna långa mening – jag har fastnat i kvalitetsträsket. Livrädd för att visa upp sånt som inte är på top. Nu ska jag släppa taget.

Min mentor kommer att säga – inte ett projekt till – vi har ju kommit överens om att du inte ska starta några nya projekt nu. Oups Sorry Claes…

Jag har bestämt mig för att ta och publicera en bild om dagen. Vi får se hur länge det håller. Men det blir min lilla terapi för att släppa detta, samt ett kul sätt att testa sätt att fotografera som skiljer sig ifrån hur jag brukar göra (lika med massor av utrustning, ofta i studio, krav på kvalitet, massa efterbearbetning i Photoshop).

Första bilden är en riktigt fet groda (/eller om det är en padda?). Den är tagen med min mobiltelefon (en Sony Ericsson W890i för er som är telefonnördar, det går att ringa med den). Det känns som en bra start. Grodan är inte i fokus för telefonen har för taskig närgräns. Hittade den när jag var ute och plockade svamp (årets första kantareller växte 3 m från grodan).

För detta projekt fixade jag mig även ett Flickr-konto som bilderna ska tankas upp på.

Ett litet hopp för grodan, ett fritt fall för Ulrik…
