I’m quoting/bumping this old November 3, 2007 post because I think some new readers will enjoy it and find it interesting too. (My new book—which should be available in January 2010—has a portrait drawing of this 5D Pleiadian male in it, along with an 8D Orion, a 6D Sirian and other highly interesting, nonphysical, clairvoyantly seen beings and entities.)

Denise

http://deniselefay.wordpress.com/2007/11/03/old-pleiadian-friend-with-a-message/

                                        (The Pleiades Star System)

When I was 15 (1967) I had an interesting conscious clairvoyant telepathic conversation with a Pleiadian. At that time I didn’t remember the name “Pleiadians”, only that this handsome blond male was very familiar. I’ve talked only briefly about him so far but will share more about all of them in coming posts.

It was early afternoon and I was in my bedroom listening to the radio and just being a 15 year old. Suddenly this beautiful blond haired, sky-blue eyed male popped into my minds eye and started a telepathic conversation. He was so clearly there. This was not a teenage girls fantasy—this was conscious contact—which I’d had with him and some other ETs since age 3 that I have remembered.

There was no introduction, just the message he needed to deliver to me at that time. He telepathed that in the future I would have a son. I telepathed back that I didn’t want a son or any children at all. He replied saying that didn’t matter and that I was going to have this son.

I was not a girl who wanted to get married and have children when I grew up. That was not my thing. I knew I didn’t want that sort of life, but, certain events are planned and agreed upon long before we reincarnate. This was one of those multidimensional, far reaching agreements.

While this conversation is going on telepathically, I’m carefully clairvoyantly viewing and psychically sensing or reading this male. He looked human and I even thought he was at first, but the more he talked I realized he was something other than human. I realized he wasn’t physical or from Earth. At that time I didn’t know he was “Pleiadian”. He was just that beautiful blond guy I had seen a few times like this since early childhood.

At one point in our conversation he said, “This is your son in the future when he is 15 years old.“ In my minds eye I see a photograph of a boy with blond hair and sky-blue eyes who looks very, very, much like this male Pleiadian.

My young 15 year old mind was trying to understand it all, and because the two of them looked so much alike, I thought that maybe I’d meet this male in my future and we would produce this son who looked just like him. (I have medium brown hair with dark blue-grey eyes. There are no blonds on either side of my family.)

Needless to say that image of this future boy, this blond 15 year old boy that was going to be my son some day, was something I never forgot. At the end of this telepathic conversation he said, “I am his real Father.”

Like I said, I wasn’t a little girl who dreamt of getting married and having kids. I wanted to be a Jockey and race horses, I wanted to be creative and free. But the day came when I married a man even though I didn’t want to and soon after got pregnant. I had a beautiful blond haired, sky-blue eyed son of course. He is the only child I have.

When he was 15 I took a photo of him and when I got it back from the developers there was THE telepathic image the Pleiadian had shown me when I was 15—25.5 years earlier! I just stared at it with my heart pounding. And yes, my son looks very much like his nonphysical Pleiadian stellar father and not his physical biological one.

Do not misunderstand me however because I’m not saying what you may think I am. My son is a Pleiadian human as far as I’m concerned. That is his Home and that was the message my old male Pleiadian friend was trying to tell me at age 15—the complex concept of “Starseeds” and “Wanderers”. And that so many of us come back to Earth and physicality from our nonphysical, higher dimensional Homes in different Star systems. In so many cases, we are the ETs.

The third image I found only yesterday while hunting through Google Images. It’s called Ashtar Command. I’m NOT familiar with “Ashtar” or the “Ashtar Command” and I am only adding this image for the obvious reasons. I’m also NOT saying that my male Pleiadian friend is this “Ashtar” because I believe they are two different 5D Pleiadian beings. So with that said, this first photo was taken when my son was 15 in 1987.

This second photo of him was taken in 1993 when he was 20 years old. In this second photo my son’s hair is long and pulled back into a ponytail. And the third image is that of “Ashtar” the Pleiadian.

I’ve never been so excited to write about a pathetic performance from Chicago LFC.

It was an early morning for most of the members of Chicago LFC, for some it was just an extension of the late Saturday night. A majority of the team headed over to The Globe Pub at 9AM to watch a completely off form Liverpool FC (1 goal scored and 4 losses in the last 4 games) take on the defending champions and their biggest rivals, Manchester United. It was a so called, ‘Super Sunday,’ fixture and everyone was up for it. I won’t give a summary of that match, though I’d much rather talk about that, there are people much more capable of doing that on websites like the BBC or SkySports News. Or any other website really, I’d read them all if I were you, bask in the glory of the moment. I certainly did.

I tried for about 10 minutes to get a picture of Torres celebrating his goal in here. But it didn’t work. So just close your eyes for a few minutes and imagine it.

My you have a good imagination... Rio is thinking "Oh shit"

So it was a great atmosphere at The Globe, fantastic in fact, then as the final whistle blew it was out the door to race over to Rauner YMCA to play a must win match of our own.

Surprisingly, mostly everyone turned up on time at Rauner and we were able to get warmed up before the match. We had just about a full squad, which meant there were 68 people on the substitutes bench. The match kicked off and it was a high flying start for Chicago LFC. About 30 seconds into the game, Pat Garrity ran through the defense and put a shot on target, the ball skipped over the keeper, 1-0. With confidence from the early goal, Chicago LFC applied even more pressure, without even the slightest bit of an attack forming from the first round playoff opposition, Bagkat FC. The pressure paid off and Kobi scored a quality goal to make it 2-0.

Then it all began to unravel. With a 2-0 advantage, CLFC seemed to go into cruise control. Within ten minutes of being on auto-pilot, Bakgat FC scored on one of their first attacks. The game had totally changed and Bakgat took the momentum into half time.

Captain Bryn Griffiths provided another (a)rousing speech, but it didn’t quite get the response it deserved as CLFC trotted out for the second half. Within minutes, the seemingly inevitable happened, 2-2 on the counter attack. Chicago LFC had managed to do what even Liverpool couldn’t do against the defending champions that morning, piss away a 2 goal advantage. It was a deserved two goals from Bakgat, so there couldn’t be any complaints in that department. They continued to apply pressure and CLFC seemed ready to concede a few more, but managed to stick to the opposition enough to put them off. CLFC even managed a few good chances before the ref called for the end of regulation. The end of regulation meant it was straight on to penalties. The teams huddled up near midfield and watched as CLFC looked to match and possible surpass the record for worst ever start to a penalty shoot out. Clearly, CLFC were interested in achieving some sort of accomplishment on the day, good or bad. The 3 CLFC takers missed and the 3 Bagkat takers scored, and it took a save from Aran Quinn, the CLFC male MVP, to keep it alive. CLFC penalty takers (Heather then Mark) then brought it back to even terms with Aran Quinn continuing on with the saves. Quite the accomplishment, considering the start they had to the PKs, it came down to a Bagkat spot kick and Aran went the wrong way, Bagkat were through to the finals 3-2 on penalties, Chicago LFC were knocked out in the first round of playoffs.

It was pure dissapointment on the bench, but orange slices and the end of season awards ceremony helped cheer things up quite a bit.

Here are the awards voted for by the team:

As usual, the post match was at SmallBar and the team was together for the last time in at least a few months (with the teams splitting into two for the indoor season). CLFC had a great start to the season, but then managed to drop silly points (clearly following the lead of the real LFC), and while the playoffs provided a chance to make up for that, the team simply weren’t up for it (or sober) for the first round. And it showed. Both the Men’s and the Coed teams will look to turn that around with the new season starting on what is sure to be a busy Halloween day. Can you say shitshow? Actually, I don’t think you can. Bryn, censor that if you feel the need to.

Best of luck to both teams in the indoor season.

“Pakistan now moves ahead with the momentum that makes them so lethal by their side. It would be tempting to put your money on them but it would not be wise: Some things are best left uncertain.”

This last line of my previous post after Australia and Pakistan played a memorable match at the SuperSport Park, Centurion is just the right beginning that I needed for this post after New Zealand won the semi-final at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

Pakistan, as many cricket writers say, is a dangerous team when it starts gaining momentum. Momentum largely is a constant that helps every team more or less. The traditional process-driven approach of gaining momentum by getting the balance of the team right and keeping the winning habit going works for everyone, including Pakistan.

That apart, the Pakistan team is the most ‘receptive and volatile’ to a different kind of momentum, the mechanism of which cannot be described perfectly. That they have gained this momentum can be seen and felt plainly, but what has triggered it is at best a good guess. The big moments of Pakistan cricket have come through this backdoor that is not of their making; their credit is only being open and vulnerable to ‘an unspecific trigger’ that gives them a non-traditional momentum.

Osman Samiuddin, Pakistan editor Cricinfo, wrote a piece like a raconteur that lends credence to my drift in this piece. The piece was done on Pakistani cricket two days before the T20 final on Sunday.
“A triumph it already is, come what may Sunday. Astrophysics may be easier to comprehend than this situation, even if it is unlikely astrophysics has ever brought as much joy as this.

It has been an uneven, uplifting ride, in the best traditions of Pakistan. Just to know that they are still capable of it is relief in itself; indeed the worst fear over the last two years was that Pakistan had succumbed to the curse of bland mediocrity. But to know that they are still capable of doing what they did to South Africa in the same fortnight as what they allowed England to do to them; is to know that the soul of all Pakistan sides is alive and well.”

Waqar Younis, in an informal chat with Harsha Bhogle for a show broadcast a few years ago, smilingly said that he’ll never forgive Jadeja for what he did; talking about the 1996 World Cup. Waqar then added that Pakistan had their best team in the 1996 World Cup; in my view as well that was a very strong team. Not the all-time best but the best of the last 18 years or so.

When Osman talked about the amazing run of Pakistan after it had reached the T20 final in 2009 he was hesitant in bracketing it with the inaugural T20 World Cup or with the 1999 World Cup where also Pakistan had made it to the finals; instead he saw this in the same vein as the 1992 World Cup.

“The T20 run has been of a piece with, as nobody in Pakistan has forgotten, the 1992 World Cup, where, for no obvious reason, Pakistan suddenly transformed from a mohalla second XI into the world’s best. Everything came together to some great, central magnetic pull, as if it inevitably had to, in a wonderfully calculated way even though almost none of it was calculated,” Osman wrote.

Two days later the comparison had one more thing in common, as they would become the two World Cup victories for Pakistan; a World Cup in 1992 and a T20 World Cup in 2009.

This is a part of the complex soul of Pakistan cricket. Pakistan’s best teams or even the relatively-better ones did not manage to win a big tournament on the World stage. All the other sides were better prepared and well on course compared to the two teams that looked like a mohalla second XI.

The 1992 team and the T20 one in 2009 sensed a ‘tiger coming from the backdoor’ and rode it, though not fully in control but riding it nonetheless—and things started to fall in place. Imran got the right batting order in time and the T20 team started looking confident and dangerous. There were some individual heroes on both the occasions but the essential element was that the force was with all of them.

Younis and his team in the Champions Trophy were openly courting certainty. He declared that the Champions Trophy is Pakistan’s after the first match, leave aside predictions for his own team he even said he would want an India and Pakistan final. They played well but on their own steam. The backdoor probably gets locked in certainty—or who can be sure of even that. One thing though is quite likely as Werner Heisenberg explained in 1927; that the more certain you are about one parameter the greater is the inaccuracy in knowing the other. That’s why in the best traditions of Pakistan to be uncertain is not such a bad thing.

Despite a late English surge, New Zealand overcame England by four wickets on a juicy Wanderers track to top Group `B’ and enter the semifinals of the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Kiwis, pursuing 147, needed to reach the target in 44.3 overs to finish ahead of England on run-rate. They were home in the 28th over here on Tuesday.

Powered by openers Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill, New Zealand was coasting at one stage before the English pacemen fought back. James Anderson seamed one away from Martin Guptill (53, 55b, 7×4, 1×6) for Greame Swann to snaffle up the edge at slip. Moments later Swann held an even better catch in the cordon as Ross Taylor nicked a delivery leaving him from Stuart Broad. And Grant Elliott could not get out of the way of a wickedly climbing delivery from Broad that kissed his gloves. Broad, hitting the deck hard, was extracting disconcerting bounce.

Gareth Hopkins too departed early; a brute of a short ball brushed his gloves on way to ‘keeper Eoin Morgan Broad had scalped four and the Kiwis were 130 for five. Niel Broom (17) struck some useful blows before being consumed by Ryan Sidebottom.

Skipper Daniel Vettori and James Franklin guided New Zealand home surviving some tense final moments. Elliott was adjudged Man of the Match for his four-wicket haul.

New Zealand had the rub of the green early on though. Anderson was unlucky not to consume Guptill; the opener edged the paceman more than once. Gradually, Guptill opened out with a few pleasing off-drives.

At the other end, McCullum cut loose. He gave Sidebottom the charge to send the ball soaring over the point fence; in a deliberate ploy, McCullum was disrupting the length of the English pacemen.

McCullum also fed on width. The right-hander’s upper-cut off Anderson cleared the point boundary. When Broad dropped one short, he top-edged a hook for the maximum.

Before he was held at cover off cover off Broad for a rollicking 48 (39b, 4×4, 3×6) McCullum had put the Kiwis on course. The opening pair had whipped up 84 in only 12.3 overs.

Guptill continued to inflict damage. He walked down to Paul Collingwood for a sweetly-struck straight six. And he slammed Broad over his head to reach an entertaining half-century.

Earlier, the New Zealand pacemen were on the button from the word go after Vettori won the toss. The conditions were ideal for the pacemen under a cloud-cover. The slippery Kyle Mills struck in the first over with a mean delivery that took off from short of a good lenth and moved away from the left-handed Andrew Strauss to find the edge.

There was deviation off the seam for the pacemen. And the odd ball tend to shoot through. His mind and body in harmony, thundered in, Shane Bond got the ball to jag back at the right-handed Joe Denly to rattle the timber. The Kiwi spearhead was getting the ball to dart around. He made further inroads.

The in-form Owais Shah attempted to whip a full length delivery outside the off-stump and ‘keeper McCullum pouched the edge. Collingwood, an old-fashioned fighter, was defiant. He pulled Bond for a six over square-leg when the paceman pitched one short.

England was 23 for three after the first block of Power Play overs.

There was plenty of drama on the field as well. Collingwood left the over’s final delivery – outside the off-stump – off Kyle Mills alone and set out for some gardening. In the meantime, McCullum threw down the stumps at the striker’s end. The third umpire ruled Collingwood out after a Kiwi appeal but then umpire Darryl Harper had seemingly shouted `over’ soon after the delivery passed Collingwood.

The on-field umpires, Vettori and Collingwood were involved in a discussion before Vettori withdrew the appeal.

Collingwood and the left-handed Morgan staged a recovery of sorts. Mogan struggled to find his timing but Collingwood, ready with his horizontal bat strokes, punished left-arm paceman Franklin.

Ian Butler, working up some pace and extracting bounce, consumed Morgan on the cut with a lifting delivery outside the off-stump. ‘Keeper McCullum could not pouch the edge cleanly and Taylor displayed superb reflexes at first slip to complete the catch.

The brave Collingwood continued to defy the Kiwi attack; Franklin was pulled for the maximum again. But then, a batsman’s strength can prove his undoing. Collingwood (40,

58b, 2×4, 3×6) launched into yet another pull – picking the delivery from out-side off – against support seamer Elliott and Taylor leapt to pluck a fine one-handed catch at mid-wicket.

The England innings disintegrated quickly. Elliott, revelling in the conditions, taking the ball away in the corridor. And he surprised the batsmen with steep lift. Before long, he had scapled four.

Bond returned to trap a battling Ravi Bopara (30) leg-before with a good length delivery that kept low. A tenacious last-wicket stand between Sidebottom and Anderson took the total close to 150

3rd matchday, 4th match. It was one to forget. Several members of Chicago LFC showed up for Sunday

3rd matchday, 4th match. It was one to forget. Several members of Chicago LFC showed up for Sunday morning’s match not hungover, and the unfamiliarity with that feeling proved to be the teams downfall. The well rested, completely level headed Reds showed up and put up a pathetic display, front to back, against Bagkat FC. The Greg Whalley and Hollice Wrobel shaped voids in the team were clear to see as the Reds conceded a fairly early goal on the break. Before half time a second goal went in after a complete howler from Chicago LFC’s, Aran Quinn. The tempermental goalkeeper, who had saved Chicago LFC on so many occasions, took a goal kick directly to an opposition player, who put an admittedly beautiful finish on the ball to make it 2-0. Chicago LFC went into the half time intermission, with spirits very low.

Captain Bryn Griffiths attempted to lift the morale with a rousing speech at half time, and it did seem to work early on. A few good chances were taken, but then disaster struck as Bagkat scored by lobbing the keeper on the break. At that point it was pretty much done and dusted and Chicago LFC didn’t look like they’d could get back in the game.

It was another valiant performance from our female players, who all had to play the whole game. And while not to many positives could be taken from the game, the team never gave up, playing for pride until the final whistle. The match will be looked at as a one off, with Chicago LFC hoping to rebound next week.

And just to be safe, the next match will hopefully be rescheduled to be after the Chelsea match so everyone can be proper drunk or at least very hungover. Because if we don’t have a t least a little residual alcohol left in our blood, then by golly, we’re not Chicago LFC.

i’m sure you’ve already read the game summary on ESPN or SkySports, but here is the lowd

i’m sure you’ve already read the game summary on ESPN or SkySports, but here is the lowdown of what happened on Sunday during Chicago LFC’s doubleheader.

CLFC had nearly a full squad and were clearly enjoying the first match v. Stranger’s United, the former team of new signing Arif Ismail. Max DeZutter slotted home an early goal with the ball bouncing around in the box following a corner and what was apparently a handball. The non-call for the hand-ball was something we would see a lot more of on the day. At one point a Stranger’s defender, in the box, cradled the ball, licked his thumb and used it to wipe a tiny smudge of dirt off of the ball, turned, dropped it and kicked it. The referee called it ball to hand. Remi then nearly crushed an opposing player who had kicked out at him, telling him ‘never to do that again.’ Yellow card. The referee then allowed one of Stranger’s players to slide around on the ground before having a linesman let him know what the rules were. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose, as the card stayed in his pocket at that point. But CLFC, hardly known for its moaning and complaining, carried on and were within two minutes of 3 points when a hopeless ball was handled on the edge of the area. Clearly, protecting your face on the top corner of the 18 yard box is a blatant attempt to impede an oppositions attack. Should’ve just let it bloody your nose. The match ended 1-1.

After a 45 second break it was on to the second match of the day. CLFC took the field slightly annoyed by the first result, but at least a tiny bit cheered up by the sheer genius that goes into Windy City Wanderer’s schedule making.

That uplifting feeling proved to be what CLFC needed, as the team proceeded to defenestrate (throw out of a window, word of the day) Primera something or the other. Koby opened the scoring with a deflected effort from just inside the 18-yard box. In a rampant first half display Pat scored a brilliant solo-effort, Brittany deftly headed home after Remi’s brilliant run and shot cam e back off the bar and Koby slotted home to end the first half with a brace and Chicago LFC 4-0 up! The second half was a bit more drab, with not much happening in the early stages. With CLFC going on the attack looking to boost their goal difference further, Primera Whatevers broke on the counter and slotted one past keeper Aran Quinn, who had fallen asleep due to long periods of inactivity. Then, just as Koby was being called in for a substitution, with his last kick of the ball, he put CLFC 5-1 up and completed his hat-trick. A feat he had predicted to the same teams goal keeper last week after missing a hat-trick of chances in the previous game. At that point it was really game over, and things got a bit silly. A disheveled, yet tall, forward for Primerawhocaresa dragged his leg, kicking keeper Aran Quinn square in the chest. Seconds later, the same scummy looking fellow, who probably has loads of dandruff and smells like a block of cheese that has been sitting in your trunk ever since you bought it during that early summer trip to Wisconsin, pushed Arif down then told him to calm down. Words and yellow cards were exchanged (with Arif acting very calm, but one of his teammates clearly taking offense) and it was a rather boring flare up at the conclusion of a pretty straightforward game.

CLFC are now 2-0-1 and top of the league!

In other news, on their way to the post match celebrations, the team bus was verbally assaulted by a scruffy, crack addict looking woman. False allegations and fake laws were thrown back and forth before this very racist, very unkempt woman eventually put a sock in it. Police are following leads, and one spokesperson stated that the verbal assault could very well be linked to that other untidy looking fellow who was fouling people all game long.

Until next week, God bless America.

***
The difference between an intellectual animal and a human being is the unique mind. An integral human being has a true individual mind, not simply a reflection of the collective mind.

Wanderers – Randonneurs

Here we are all initiates in the religion of Life. Reuniting spirit and matter in our daily incarnation, going forward amongst and against all that is. We are looking for truth. We also know that Truth is infinite, as is the source of it’s creation. It is inside each of us this truth, it’s is undressed one layer at a time like an onion, always unique in it’s heart.

The truth is, we have been lied to since day one, and we have been indoctrinated through our education to fit a pre-set model based on projections by the U.N. It’s not a coincidence on this planet that politicians are called actors, and people: the public, it is a show that goes on and on! Because history is written ahead of time, and then systematically implemented. Take a good look around you, you were programmed to understand everything that will happen in your lifetime. Otherwise we would be lost…

What if you were to understand that in reality there are only two poles: The light emanating from the Creator (nature) and it’s vessel of reception (the creature), and that all the divisions are mere distortions? Would that help us all correct our line of desire?

A bi-polar system was put to the test: on one side the Democratic ideal, on the other the Communist dilemma, in order to pick the best tricks for the coming era: the century of transitions. Changes on a human scale only seem to come to fruitition when the whole of humanity is against the wall, or should I say ; one foot over the cliff? So it will come to pass that the century of transitions, which in short is Total War, will create the new after having destroyed the old. And the show will go on!

To grasp the depth of what is happening around us, we need to resort to the unthinkable, for that is what we have let create itself around us. This unthinkable wolf is howling under our doors, and when the door bursts open, we will need to correct ourselves either on the path of suffering and denial or the path of knowledge and light.

Randonneurs,

The show will go on!

Out of all reality, I perceive only the things that are worthwhile for me, from the standpoint of profit or loss. Everything else I do not perceive. I may be surrounded by thousands of other things, but I remain indifferent to them all. And if I am indifferent, I simply don’t see them.

In this regard, a person does not have to change in any way, or transform himself into a “winged angel.” He only has to annul his limitations and open up his senses so as to see, hear and sense the world that exists outside him. And that is done by perceiving everything “for the benefit of others.”

Then you will truly sense the world outside yourself, and exist in the World of Infinity. But where is this World of Infinity? Is it behind some star or galaxy? No. It is here and now.

Chicago LFC this sunday was a big day for the Chicago LFC club football team. after a long 10 week

Chicago LFC

this sunday was a big day for the Chicago LFC club football team. after a long 10 week season with doubleaheaders and early morning kick offs the team found itself in second place in the league table. but that wasn’t the end of it, this is america after all, we’ll need playoffs. and with next week being labour day, we’ll need to play both the semis and the final on the same day…. brilliant!

the semi final kicked off at 11.15 with CLFC taking on some FC Hangover or something like that. the match was almost as unoriginal as both of our names, with little to no action happening in regular time. there were a few good saves from Aran Quinn, but neither sides front men really forced the issue and after two 30 minute halves it was straight on to penalties. with the summer sun beating down on us, some guy with a penciled on beard stepped up to take the first penalty against our Quinny. Aran managed to guess the right way and save the penalty despite jumping too far to his left. 0-0 with our very own fearless captain set to take his penalty. Bryn stepped up calm and collected and slotted it home, though he later admitted he had been trying to go the other way (the way the keeper had gone)! FC Hangover then scored and CLFC’s Liz Risoldi hit the post with her shot. They scored again to bring things level, then Brittany followed up with a shot that snuck in right underneath the diving keeper. Aran made another fantastic save, holding the ball, and Toby followed that up with another goal. A save here would give CLFC the win, but Aran Quinn managed to mess it up as he normally does, and Greg Whalley’s effort was saved after that. the 6th penalty takers stepped up for each team, with Aran Quinn yet again holding onto the ball with another brilliant diving effort. Mellissa Gomez then stepped up, completely calm and took the perfect PK, putting it just to the right, into the roof of the net. Brilliant effort, CLFC onto the finals!!!

Then due, to poor planning and even poorer punctuality, CLFC took a 5 minute smoke break and were back on the field against a well rested, yet slightly musty smelling Champagne Footballers, the first seeded team who had won 6-0 that morning. within the first two minutes CLFC conceded a corner and a scramble in the box resulted in a goal for the Champagne Footballers. it was a terrible start to what would prove to be a very frustrating cup final for CLFC. despite their goal scoring domination in their semi final, CLFC managed to keep it 1-0 for a large portion of the game. there were even a few chances from forwards Pat Garrity and Brittany Parenti. The Champagne Footballers did show class though, passing it around. It was like watching Brazil. not even the current, slightly under performing brazil, i’m talking the proper brazil from the late ’90s. the pass and move was almost nauseating, or at least seemed to be for most CLFC players. a few poor tackles and shoulder barges were made by the Champagne Footballers (brazil-esque misques, made with grace and light feet) leading to CLFC’s Toby Emms and Greg Whalley squaring up to them, producing a flurry of cards and c-words. eventually, a second goal was scored, once again the result of a poorly defended corner. at that point the remaining time almost seemed like a formality. CLFC did have a few chances though, with toby sending one just over the crossbar, Bryn having a long effort saved and Mark Killeen trying a chip with the same result. but eventually losing two nil, being exhausted and fed up by these egotistical gits got the better of some of the players. Kevin Achettu, normally the most calm and collected player on the pitch, came up with a few clever words for one for the attackers, then walked into him (in self defense as he was clearly walking in my direction, check CCTV, I swear). This occurred right in front of the ref, who duly produced a yellow card for what shouldn’t have been more than a foul or a few words like ’stop’, or ‘careful’, or ‘cut that out’. Kevin then slapped the ref’s yellow card weilding hand away, which quite rightyl resulted in a sending off. CLFC ended the game one (very handsome) man down, but managed to keep a bit of pride, in the end only losing 2-0.

Overall, CLFC’s season was a very good one with the team continuously improving. in the final we were pitted against a clearly superior team and managed to leave with a bit of pride, so nothing to be ashamed of. the new season starts in a couple weeks time and we look forward to taking these improvements and building upon them.

way to go CLFC!!!!

Last night, I left the comfort of my own home, full of excitement and hungry to see the few new face

Last night, I left the comfort of my own home, full of excitement and hungry to see the few new faces of Wigan Athletic play at the beloved DW Stadium. Six minutes into the game, my arse barely being on the seat after dashing over from a painfully long wait for a pizza at Pizza Hut; Andrew Keogh pops up with his head and nudges the ball past the keeper. After cramming the jalapeño loaded pizza down me, I was in no state to show any real emotion. Inside, I was steaming. Okay, so six minutes in after a great win at the weekend you’d think yes, Wolves will now be vunerable and we’ve got plenty of time to equalize.

This beautiful football that Bobby is bringing to the Wigan team just didn’t work. The best passes I saw all evening were those between the defenders. Okay, so use a nice pass and pass it to the midfield to organise an attack. Go on Bramble, pass it. After five attempts of too much lift and spin I think it was time to give up. I think he was plainly forgetting again that there was a nice pitch below him that he could skim the ball along. Fair play to Wolves; the only one tactic that we can play which is passing, they stopped brilliantly. After experiencing 40 minutes of this, you’d think the system would be changed. Nah. This then turned into the old style long ball; but to who? Jason Scotland is too short to jump and reach the top shelf of a kitchen cupboard and Rodallega was getting blown away by the summer breeze.

What a frustrating evening this was for the Wigan fans, or, for the ones that turned up. That’s one thing that I don’t want to get started on. Taking any positives from the game was that one new boy Jordi Gomez looked good on the ball when he wasn’t being chopped down by the boys wearing Dorito packets and there were also a few glimpses of quality in one or two of the attacks, N’Zogbia especially testing the defence a few times cutting in from his new right wing position.

Jason Scotland, the new boy. - Summing up the evening.

Well Wigan, I wasn’t impressed but I guess that we made up for the 3 points we should have got last night by getting them against Villa. Saturday brings United, yeah right. Lets hope for a performance like the one at Villa Park in the rest of the games.

On to lower mid-table in our second installment of our Premier League predictions. We’ll be doing four teams a day, culminating with the top four on Sunday, but today it’s teams just surviving the drop and lower mid-table:

13. Blackburn Rovers

In: Gael Givet, Marseille, £3.5m; Franco Di Santo, Chelsea, loan; Lars Jacobsen, Everton, free; Elrio van Heerden, Club Brugge, free; Nikola Kalinic, Hadjuk Split, £6m

Out: Roque Santa Cruz, Manchester City, £18m; Matt Derbyshire, Olympiakos, £3m; Aaron Mokoena, Portsmouth, free

With respected manager Sam Allardyce leading the ship, Blackburn should steer clear of relegation despite selling gifted foward Roque Santa Cruz to Manchester City, where he should be fourth-choice striker or so (enjoy, Roque). Although Allardyce’s playing style is not a pretty one–his teams are heavily reliant upon the long ball and do not play attractively–it is effective when players buy into his tactics; Newcastle’s failure to do so was the main reason that he fared so poorly with the club. He did much better at Blackburn after taking charge in December 2008, though, and he has the talent at his disposal to shoot for a mid-table finish. Goalkeeper Paul Robinson played his way out of the England setup with Tottenham, but he looks better with Blackburn and has less pressure to succeed; last season was a solid one and Allardyce will hope that he can build on this success. Blackburn’s defense is very good; led by hulking Christopher Samba and captain Ryan Nelsen, it is both skilled and deep–the signings of Gael Givet and Lars Jacobsen were good moves for Allardyce, as Nelsen has had injury problems in the past. The midfield is hit-or-miss: Morten Gamst Pederson is one of the most underrated players in the Premiership and a key player for Blackburn and David Dunn is a pretty good central midfielder, but Brett Emerton is still recovering from a torn ACL, Steven Ried missed all of last season through injury, and predicting El Hadji Diouf’s form is an exercise in futility. Rovers should not miss Santa Cruz too much, though; he was injured for part of last season and only scored four goals. In addition to Jason Roberts and Benni McCarthy, Rovers signed highly-rated Kalinic (Croatia coach Slaven Bilic has called him “the future of Croatian football”) and got Di Santo on loan; he is similar to Santa Cruz in that both are good in the air and skilled on the ball.

14. Bolton Wanderers

In: Sean Davis, Portsmouth, free; Zat Knight, Aston Villa, free; Sam Ricketts, Hull, undisclosed; Paul Robinson, West Brom, loan; Lee Chung-Yong, FC Seoul, £2.2m

Out: none

Bolton, like Blackburn, rely heavily on their manager’s tactics and knowledge to stay up. Gary Megson is another crafty manager who was able to keep Bolton competitive even after selling Nicolas Anelka to Chelsea without buying a replacement. His squad has many capable veterans, most notably Jussi Jaaskelainen. The Finnish goalkeeper has been an integral part of Bolton’s team for years and continues to play at a high level. Bolton’s defense was at times overrun last year; Megson addressed that and its limited depth by bringing in Knight and Robinson, two signings that should improve Wanderers’ defense considerably. In addition, look for youngster Chris Basham to take steps towards establishing himself as a regular; he is highly rated but at age 21, he should be ready to step into the first team soon. After losing midfielder and captain Kevin Nolan to Newcastle last season, Newcastle lacked a steadying and influential presence in the middle of the park: Sean Davis has been brought in to fill that role and should perform well; Portsmouth wanted to re-sign him, but their perilous financial situation led him to join Bolton instead. Bolton’s other midfielders are no slouches; Matty Taylor, Joey O’Brien, Ricardo Gardner and Fabrice Muamba are all capable players and will be key to Bolton’s hopes this season, and Korean import Lee Chung-Yong has drawn comparisons with former Arsenal midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb. The biggest question is Bolton’s forward line: Kevin Davies is hugely underrated and had significant support for an England call-up last year, though that did not happen, but Wanderers have no other proven players up front. Record signing Johan Elmander has been injury-prone and inconsistent since coming to England. If he can adjust in his second season, Bolton could be poised for an upper-mid-table finish, but that is a big “if.” Another option is Portuguese youngster Ricardo Vaz Te, who, like Basham, needs to step up soon to avoid being labeled as a bust. Vaz Te has shown very little thus far, however, and the EPL may be a level too high for him.

15. Portsmouth

In: Steve Finnan, Espanyol, free; Aaron Mokoena, Blackburn, free; Frederic Piquionne, Lyon, loan; Antti Niemi, Fulham, free; Anthony Vanden Borre, Genoa, loan

Out: Peter Crouch, Tottenham, undisclosed; Glen Johnson, Liverpool, £17m; Sean Davis, Bolton, free

Talk about upheaval–Portsmouth lost manager Harry Redknapp and two England internationals in half a season, and they are in the middle of a Middle East takeover attempt that WON’T give them hundreds of millions to spend. In fact, the club could still be forced to sell other key players like David James. Portsmouth are by far the hardest team to predict a finish for–manager Paul Hart is untested but put up good results after replacing Tony Adams, while the result of the takeover bid could determine if Pompey must sell or can buy. Depending on what happens, I could see them finishing anywhere from 10th to 20th, and many pundits are predicting that they will be relegated, but their current roster simply has too much talent. David James gets a lot of criticism for his occasional errors, but the fact remains that at age 37, he remains England’s best option between the sticks and is one of the better goalkeepers in the Prem. The strength of the defense in front of him is largely dependent upon Sol Campbell; the imposing center back is currently out of contract and his departure could be devastating. If he stays and Sylvain Distin, who is the subject of numerous transfer rumors, remains his partner, Pompey should be fine; the difference between Johnson and Finnan is not 17 million pounds. The midfield remains strong; losing Davis and replacing him with Mokoena hurts the team, but they still have quality going forward in Niko Kranjcar and John Utaka, while Pape Bouba Diop is a good box-to-box midfielder. The forward line suffered the most from Portsmouth’s fire sale; Crouch was not only a tremendous aerial threat, he could also hold the ball and was the team’s most dangerous finisher. Pompey addressed the problem somewhat by getting Piquionne on loan; while getting a 30-year-old on loan is usually bad news, he scored twice against Rangers in a friendly. The jury remains out on his effectiveness over the coming season, however. Nigerian Nwankwo Kanu will have to step up, as will David Nugent if he remains with the club–a training ground bust-up with a teammate, along with his lack of goals since his move to the south of England, puts his future in jeopardy. If Pompey can score goals and hold onto their remaining stars, they should stay up.

UPDATE: Manager Paul Hart has said that he thinks the takeover is unlikely, despite reports that Sulaiman Al Fahim, the prospective owner, will be in the stands this weekend to see Portsmouth take on Fulham. If this is true, then Pompey’s ambitions take a serious hit and they may be forced to sell more players to avoid going into administration. More updates will come as information becomes available.

16. Wolverhampton Wanderers

In: Ronald Zubar, Marseille, undisclosed; Greg Halford, Sunderland, undisclosed; Nenad Milijas, Red Star, £2.7m; Marcus Hahnemann, Reading, free; Andrew Surman, Southampton, £1.2m; Kevin Doyle, Reading, £6.5m; Michael Mancienne, Chelsea, loan

Out: none

Few seem to think that Wolves have what it takes to survive, but they are the only promoted team who has someone who I see as a deadly Premier League striker–Sylvain Ebanks-Blake. While there is some hypocrisy in this claim given that I have questioned others’ abilities to adapt to the Premier League, Ebanks-Blake is the type of predatory striker that, if he receives service, should thrive in the Premiership. It will be up to manager Mick McCarthy, whose last stint in the EPL (with Sunderland) ended poorly, to make sure that Ebanks-Blake and his strike partners see enough of the ball to fire Wolves above 18th place. He will also have to decide who to start at the back, though, and the position battle starts at goalkeeper. Wayne Hennessey will likely maintain his starting position, but Hahnemann is a capable deputy despite his advancing age and, should Hennessey falter, could supplant him. McCarthy will be ecstatic to get Mancienne on loan from Chelsea for anther season; the young Englishman was key to Wolves’ promotion last season and should be a rock in their defense again. Who partners him is up in the air; last season veteran Jody Craddock and youngster Richard Stearman shared duties, and Frenchman Ronald Zubar should provide further competition and depth. George Elokobi, recently recovered from a knee operation, is a question mark at left back, but right back is more secure; Kevin Foley was Wolves’ player of the year last season. Midfield is an area with a lot of depth but no real stars; captain Karl Henry, Matthew Jarvis, and David Edwards are all good players in the center of the park, while Stephen Ward’s versatility allows him to play all over the park. Greg Halford can also play in multiple positions, and his long throws are almost as renowned as Rory Delap’s–he could be a fearsome weapon if Wolves can utilize him correctly. New signing Milijas could be quite a bargain; he led the Serbian league with 22 goals last season as a midfielder and has ten international caps, scoring twice. If he can get into double digits with Wolves, McCarthy will be very happy. The team’s forwards are also deep: besides Ebanks-Blake, Scottish international Chris Iwelumo, despite being best-known for a horrific miss against Norway that may have cost Scotland a place in the 2010 World Cup, is a decent striker, and record signing Kevin Doyle will be counted on to provide the same threat that he did with Reading; in their one Premier League season, he had more headed goals than any other player in the English leagues. Wolves have done the best summer business of any promoted club, adding depth and key players to a team that won the Championship last term. If any promoted team stays up, I think it’ll be the Wanderers.

About 60 percent of the estimated 5.1 million Americans with Alzheimer’s
disease will wander from home sometime in their life. About 70 percent of
the wanderers will do so repeatedly.
In fact, about 127,000 critical wandering incidents happen each year, the
Alzheimer’s Association reports. It’s a frightening reality as persons with
Alzheimer’s can get lost even in their own neighborhood. And many are
unable to ask for help or provide their name or address to those who might
offer help.
As such, they’re highly vulnerable. If not found
within 24 hours, up to half of wanderers with
dementia risk serious injury or death.
Since 1993, one solution to this terrible situation
has been provided through a collaboration of the
Department of Justice, the Alzheimer’s Association
and local law enforcement agencies: the Safe
Return® program (www.alz.org/SafeReturn).
A nationwide database and emergency response
system, Safe Return has been successful in finding
and returning more than 8,000 individuals, about
99 percent of the registered people who have wandered and become lost.
Silver Alert Systems
Some states, such as Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, Michigan and Illinois,
have expanded upon the Amber Alert system for missing children. They have
created a “Silver Alert” to locate, in the early, critical hours, vulnerable senior
citizens who go missing.
Like the Amber Alert, the Silver Alert notifies law enforcement authorities,
activating urgent bulletins and using the Emergency Alert System.
New federal legislation was filed on April 24th of this year to help more
states set up Silver Alert systems. The bill, the Silver Alert Grant Program Act
of 2008, was prompted by the death of an elderly Florida woman who had
gone missing after signing out of her assisted living residence. To find out more about the program or technology that can assist with keeping seniors safe, locate your nearest Comfort Keepers.

I have quit listening to the news and watching TV (almost) because it is bad for my mental health. M

I have quit listening to the news and watching TV (almost) because it is bad for my mental health. Much of what we are fed daily keeps us stressed about money and financial security, while at the same time it encourages us to keeping buying and going deeper into debt. Vicious, vicious circle.

It’s time for a revolution! Time to break out of our small Walmart ideas of the perfect life and start living. Time to stop cruising around the shore going in circles and think of life as a voyage. It is truly an adventure and it’s all around us. The cup is half full overflowing!

This quote, by Sterling Hayden stopped me in my tracks because it is such a powerful expression of what I’d like to say. And besides, he actually followed through on this. He would have loved Matt Harding of the famed “Where the hell is Matt?’ experience. (video embedded below)

“To be truly challenging, a voyage, like a life, must rest on a firm foundation of financial unrest. Otherwise, you are doomed to a routine traverse, the kind known to yachtsmen who play with their boats at sea… cruising, it is called. Voyaging belongs to seamen, and to the wanderers of the world who cannot, or will not, fit in.

If you are contemplating a voyage and you have the means, abandon the venture until your fortunes change. Only then will you know what the sea is all about. “I’ve always wanted to sail to the south seas, but I can’t afford it.” What these men can’t afford is not to go. They are enmeshed in the cancerous discipline of security. And in the worship of security we fling our lives beneath the wheels of routine – and before we know it our lives are gone.

What does a man need – really need? A few pounds of food each day, heat and shelter, six feet to lie down in – and some form of working activity that will yield a sense of accomplishment. That’s all – in the material sense, and we know it.

But we are brainwashed by our economic system until we end up in a tomb beneath a pyramid of time payments, mortgages, preposterous gadgetry, playthings that divert our attention for the sheer idiocy of the charade. The years thunder by, the dreams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience. Before we know it, the tomb is sealed. Where, then, lies the answer? In choice. Which shall it be: bankruptcy of purse or bankruptcy of life?” from The Wanderer, by Sterling Hayden, actor and author
