This is the oath of office that Barack Hussein Obama took last January 29th:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

Do you think he has lived up to that oath? I don’t! Obama even had the gall to say the Constitution is outdated and needs to be revised. Revised for what; to allow Barack Hussein Obama to be King of the United States? He forgets, that title was held by Garfield Goose!
He talks a good case but he does nothing. He even gets awards for doing absolutely nothing. What awards are those you ask; Well, the Nobel Peace Prize is a great example. He did nothing to get that award. His being the one who would receive the award was decided eight days after he was sworn in as President. The award was for his accomplishments as President of the United States. What accomplishments, maybe getting the White House cleared of any of the Hollywood Liberal hangers on after the Inauguration parties. What could he have done in the first eight days? He didn’t even know where the bathroom was. This man is an embarrassment.
He stated during his campaign the GWB “took his eye of the Ball” numerous times. He said he would go into Afghanistan and clean out Bin Laden and the Taliban no matter what it took. He blasted GWB for his handling of the Iraq/Afghanistan wars and now he will not allow the term “War on Terror” to be used. He delays months after General McChrystal requests 40,000 troops in deciding whether or not to send the troops while we waste more lives and more money. He said getting Bin Laden was his number one priority but he has not mentioned Bin Laden more than four times since being elected. Obama has had HIS eyes closed to what is REALLY going on.
I could go on and on but this President, President Barack Hussein Obama, does not know what he is doing, his advisors don’t know what they are doing. All he is looking for is getting social programs passed ie. government controlled healthcare, card check, gay marriage, open abortion, Cap and Trade etc so he will have his so called legacy! If all goes according to Obama’s plan, his real legacy will be the socialization of America along with making America a third rate world power. He is not following the mandate the oath gave him to follow the Constitution, he is making up his own rules as he goes along! He is on his way and he and his crew of yes men must be stopped.
2010 brings mid-term elections and the best way to stop Obama’s plan is to throw out as many Demoocrats and republicans in Congress who vote with his programs and regain control of Congress as we did when Clinton was President and then in 2012 vote Obama out of office and the rest of the Democrats who are ruining this country.

Aside from those who may enjoy a hint of sadomasochism in their private lives, getting spanked from

Aside from those who may enjoy a hint of sadomasochism in their private lives, getting spanked from two directions is probably not something most people aspire to – not even the President of the United States (unless he is from Arkansas or Massachusetts).

Any president, obviously, expects to weather his share of open handed political slaps from the other team. It’s what politics are all about. But when a president’s own side starts promising a smack back in response to a policy decision, and it is in addition to the searing heat already coming from the opposition on the same issue, things are definitely getting hairy.

With President Obama already establishing brand new standards for lackadaisical wartime leadership, he is apparently ready to tell the world how the United States will proceed in Afghanistan. The scuttlebutt is he will announce that he is sending as many as 35,000 troops there early next year – less than the 40,000 General Stanley McChrystal requested.

And while Obama’s many months of glittering indecision has disgusted and angered conservatives (and others), the idea that he will send anyone else to Afghanistan is angering some liberals.

Stephen Clark of Fox News writes:

President Obama is days away from announcing a new Afghan strategy, but his immediate battle could come from liberals within his own party who are vowing to “spank” the president for committing tens of thousands of more troops to the eight-year conflict.
…

“I think there will be some disillusionment within his base,” said Paul Kawika Martin, political director for Peace Action, a grassroots organization, who added that thousands of activists are planning to protest following the president’s announcement.

“We’re going to spank him for sending more troops,” he told FoxNews.com, adding that they may also “thank him” if he announces a quick exit strategy.

The White House has said that the U.S. won’t be in Afghanistan for another eight or nine years. But that won’t satisfy liberals, Martin said.

Indeed, conservatives have criticized the President for his world-class dithering on this issue. They have hit Obama hard on his disinclination to use the word “victory.” They have excoriated him for failing to give the impression to his own troops – and the world at large – that he is determined to do what it takes to win. He has helped build an image of a weakened America throughout the world.

However, there can be little doubt that if the President asks for Republican support for this 35,000 troop surge, he will wind up getting it. They may question – with good reason – why Obama feels he has the expertise to second guess his own generals by sending in less troops than requested, but Republicans will have to support the move.

Couple those Republicans with the Dems who actually would be willing to support the measure, and the President will be left having to contend with the anti-war left who are promising to “spank” him for his decision.

I’d love someone to define that for me. (No illustrations needed).

Even though Obama’s announcement is sure to reawaken the anti-war movement, Martin said, the protests won’t be as intense as they were in the Bush era because the movement has been weakened by the economic recession — some organizations have shed up to 40 percent of staff in the past year, he said — and is distracted by the national health care debate. He also said many members of the movement voted for Obama and trust him more than the Bush administration.

“So you don’t have that same type of anger,” he said.

But without the support of congressional Democrats, Obama will find himself in the awkward position of relying on the support of Republicans who largely oppose his domestic agenda. And he may have to explain how he supports a troop surge in Afghanistan when he opposed one in Iraq two years ago.

The word “irony” comes to mind.

Remember, this is the “necessary war,” according to President Obama. It is so “necessary,” in fact, that Obama has decided to go McChrystal-light.

Bammy knows best.

A year has gone by and we have come to the time that keeps many of us awake even now; the time when

A year has gone by and we have come to the time that keeps many of us awake even now; the time when Mumbai, India’s cosmopolitan city, was turned into a jungle and the residents of the city were hunted out on streets, restaurants and five-star hotels.

It was naked terror that came via the sea and then walked in without the need for any disguise. The man who became the face of the attacks looked ecstatic in a particular picture and later it became known that the crew was on certain drugs that kept them numb, focused and inhuman. With a global audience glued to the TV screens the terrorists achieved what they had come for.

I’ve seen footage of the Scotland Yard in London and that of the New York Police Department (NYPD) on BBC and CNN and I’ve seen what the CCTV at CST showed when the two terrorists were there; if you’ve seen that you understand the point. The action of the local forces in the first few hours was that of total incompetence and it was this period that made all the difference in what could have been a few lives lost and the threat eliminated in a matter of hours to the fact that the trained terrorists got their hideouts with civilian lives as hostages around them and the situation continuing for what seemed like endless 62 hours of agony. It has now been over 365 days of anger, helplessness and embarrassment.

Hardly anything went right that day or the one prior to that and every machinery responsible to ensure the safety of the citizens and that of the country itself from a terror attack failed. The intelligence community defended itself by saying that the intelligence was provided and the enforcing agencies came out saying that it was not actionable. Three of Bombay’s senior police officers, who could have provided leadership, died around Cama Hospital within the first few hours of the attack when they came in the line of fire of two terrorists who were hiding and had a position of advantage.

William Bratton, the recently retired well-known chief of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) who has headed NYPD before once said ‘all terrorism is local because ultimately, when it happens, it’s local. It’s on your shores. The police are the first line of deterrence rather than the last. It’s the police who know the neighbourhoods and there has to be some level of effective local intelligence.’ Bratton is a legend and there are enough stories on the Internet that show how crime rates have dropped significantly wherever he has provided leadership.

IBN Live carried a story last year after speaking to US security expert Alex Alexiev who put the blame squarely on India’s poor grasp of terror dynamics and lack of coordination between various agencies. Thankfully the US security expert just used the word poor grasp and did not actually say something downright demeaning because we should have been better prepared living near what is called by the world as the ‘epicentre of terrorism.’ And we’ve had a history of terror acts pointing towards the ISI with the one prior to Mumbai being that on the Indian Embassy in Kabul.

The TV journalists did not know that the live footage was being used by the terrorist handlers but what about people from operations and from intelligence who are trained and were also listening to the intercepts? They should have barricaded the place and briefed the media and better still used it to their advantage. If intelligence and operations people knew that the handlers were passing information of our channels to their men inside the three places, then how much intelligence did they need to figure out that media would have been a perfect vehicle to foil their operations; and I am quite certain the journalists present would have been extremely happy to help. Instead people not authorised to speak were briefing the media about things not needed and we ended up showing the NSG getting into Nariman House and the handler shouting kill everybody, their forces are coming.

Our machinery is not working despite dozens of terror incidents because corruption and incompetence run riot in our systems and that is what needs to be rooted out. I read that the external intelligence agency R&AW has been destroyed by years of abuse by senior officials in a column and that the morale is at an all time low.

The media is not immune from incompetence and bureaucracy. Just sample this incident: A good exclusive story landed in my lap and I called two senior people in a newspaper and one of them said great story and asked me to go ahead and the other wrote in an e-mail copied to me and sent to the concerned section that for such strong stories we should be flexible. The section head was incompetence personified and kept coming back with idiotic questions and, finally, I had no choice but to answer them; now if the person had any shame and the bare minimum professional ethics I would have received some reply. Instead the newspaper pulled its shutters down.

Neither the two senior people who were copied nor the incompetent section reporter have got back to me for about six months now. And before my answer I was getting a mail about the gaps everyday. And I don’t think these three people would even be aware that what they did was wrong because power is not answerable to anyone; in fact I apologised to some of them thinking that perhaps there is something living inside them and they would realise. No accountability, no competence and complete shamelessness; and then these people would go out and ask for accountability from other institutions. What a charade of lies and hypocrisy.

I saw an interview of GE’s Jack Welch where he spoke about four kinds of employees and what the company should do with them. 1. High on skills and high on values: you value them and try to keep them. 2. Low on skills and low on values: you fire them. 3. Low on skills but high on values: you give them opportunities to learn. 4. High on skills and low on values: this is the dangerous category and companies often persist a bit longer with them to their own detriment.

Our culture needs to realise that competence matters at all levels and that we need to value it in every field and then perhaps the right people will find their rightful place and the intelligence agencies will function; may be even the right politicians and the police officers would come to the fore and you’ll also have journalists who can edit or write a copy.

Otherwise five years will pass and we would still be sitting ducks.

President Obama goes on the TV on Tuesday evening to announce his strategy on Afghanistan after 3 mo

President Obama goes on the TV on Tuesday evening to announce his strategy on Afghanistan after 3 months of speculation and delay. It is expected he will announce a compromise solution and request additional troops from our allies.

NATO has been a part of the effort since 2001, but has been a junior partner. It is time they stepped up their effort, not for our benefit, but for their own. Afghanistan has become a toxic cocktail of narco-terrorism and Europe is bearing the brunt. Heroin is at all time lows in price and the availability is extraordinary. A whole new generation is becoming addicted and is paying the price, and it all comes from Afghanistan. Every single day, the money from the heroin trade finances the militias killing British and American troops in Helmand Province.

Both sides of the Afghans are involved. It is simply the biggest money machine to appear there in the past 100 years. Some in government are involved, but on the other side, the Taliban are involved up to their eyeballs. Every year more acreage goes under the sway of the opium poppy, and the Taliban act as both the agents and protectors of the drug lords. How does this reconcile with Islam and the concept of Jihad?

When British troops valiantly repel Taliban offensives as they have done so repeatedly in recent months, it is often the result of a big drug deal. The attacks sometimes are diversionary. Someone is moving 1,000 or 2,000 Kgs of pure H into Pakistan and then to the coast for transshipment to Montenegro or Bari or another port where the authorities have been bought and the chance of detection is low. Once on the European mainland, the price quintuples.

The heroin trade then helps finance the terrorist cells of Al Quaeda and their affiliates in Spain and Britain and France as they handle the distribution end as well. Vertical integration ensures the profits stay within the Ummah.

The profits at home finance RPG’s and ammo and the $100/month for the average Taliban fighter they pay. But the reality is that the evil nexus of narcotics and terrorism kills our soldiers just as dead as they kill the junkies in the back allies of Hamburg and the Banlieus of Paris and the hard streets of the Midlands. All of this in some twisted name of Wahabbism.

Just as cocaine has financed civil war in South America, we are seeing the narcoterrorists replicate those results in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It’s not about freedom or religion. It’s about money, and a very few at the top enslave the rest for their profit. It doesn’t get much more evil.

So as we see the Spaniards and Greeks and Dutch and Irish struggle with coming up with a few thousand more troops, think about the social cost. Narcotics are the largest illegal transfer of wealth in history. And all of that money is being put into destabilizing the governments that now seek to limit their involvement.

The statistics all bear this out. It is simply a matter of calculating the math. For every Euro spent in pacifying Helmand and other heroin producing provinces in Afghanistan, these countries will see $3-4 in benefits at home. It would seem a rather simple equation.

[ARTICLE] So the Republicans have released a list of 10 policies their 2010 candidates should adhere

[ARTICLE]

So the Republicans have released a list of 10 policies their 2010 candidates should adhere to. Let’s just cut to the chase and take a look.

“(1) We support smaller government, smaller national debt, lower deficits and lower taxes by opposing bills like Obama’s “stimulus” bill;”

Great! Or at least it WOULD be great if it were true. But Bush and the Republicans in congress spent more money than any President before him (and Obama is even worse). Republicans are NOT for smaller government. They only say they are when Democrats are in power. But time and time again, it’s Republicans who outspend Democrats. Don’t get me wrong, both sides are big government scumbags and I’ll never vote for either of them. But at least Democrats don’t pretend to be for smaller government. At least they’re honest about their scumbaggery. And I like how they call it the “Obama stimulus”. If I remember correctly, the first stimulus bill went through during Bush’s term. McCain pushed for it and voted for it. Have you forgotten already? He tried to cancel a live presidential election debate so he could go vote for it. It was a big deal. Man, Americans have short memories. And when the first stimulus Bill was voted down in the House (before it was later passed), Bush went ahead and authorized his own little bailout with an executive order. Look it up. Republicans ARE NOT for fiscal responsibility. They just want it to be THEM wasting all the money on big flashy programs rather than the democrats.

“(2) We support market-based health care reform and oppose Obama-style government run health care;”

Again, great!…if it were true. Sure “Obamacare” is going to be awful when it finally passes (and it WILL eventually pass), but so is “RomneyCare”. That’s right, Mitt Romney had his own little statist healthcare program as the governor of Massachusetts. Under his plan it was against the law to NOT have healthcare. No government sponsored healthcare, just a mandate that said you had to buy it yourself. So the democrats’ plan (government-run healthcare) is socialism and the republicans’ plan, (government-mandated private healthcare) is fascism. Whoopie. I can’t wait to vote on which party I want in office.

“(3) We support market-based energy reforms by opposing cap and trade legislation;”

I actually can’t really comment on this. I oppose cap and trade as well but I haven’t taken the time to research what Republicans plan to do about energy reforms. But judging by their past records, I’d be willing to bet it’s just a different but equally bad option.

“(4) We support workers’ right to secret ballot by opposing card check;”

Unions. Ugh. I don’t like them but I also think that people have the right to associate with whomever they want and in whatever way they want…and that right extends to employers and business owners. They should be able to fire whoever they want for whatever reason they want. It’s their damn property.

“(5) We support legal immigration and assimilation into American society by opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants;”

At least they’re honest about this one. I disagree with them, but at least they’re not lying.

“(6) We support victory in Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting military-recommended troop surges;”

And this is the #1 reason that Republicans are bigger spenders than Democrats. They like war more….or do they? WWI, WWII, Korea, Clinton’s Yugoslavia nonsense; all started while democrats were in power. Both parties love their wars. Yes. Even Obama. On to Sudan! Save (bomb) Darfur!

“(7) We support containment of Iran and North Korea, particularly effective action to eliminate their nuclear weapons threat;”

Blah Blah Blah more warmongering.

“(8) We support retention of the Defense of Marriage Act;”
Screw you Republicans! If you are religious, then marriage is a religious ceremony. If you’re not, marriage is a contract between two people. Neither of those areas are any of the government’s business. Legalize gay AND straight marriage!

“(9) We support protecting the lives of vulnerable persons by opposing health care rationing and denial of health care and government funding of abortion; and”

Finally something I could agree on…if I knew they didn’t have a statist healthcare scheme of their own.

“(10) We support the right to keep and bear arms by opposing government restrictions on gun ownership.”

One more time, say it with me: GREAT!….if I knew it wasn’t a lie.

Look up H.R. 1022 sometime. It didn’t pass, thank goodness, but it was supposed to be another Clinton-style assault weapons ban but this time it was written and sponsored by Republicans. I will agree that more republicans seem to understand and support gun rights but don’t trust someone just because they have an (R) after their name. In fact, never trust ANY politician until you get to know them and their positions because, as we can see, they’re all liars and scumbags to the last….yes that includes YOUR pet politician.

So then, the Iraq Inquiry is finally on. Just for sport let me predict what the Inquiry’s hea

So then, the Iraq Inquiry is finally on. Just for sport let me predict what the Inquiry’s headline conclusions will be:

Those at the top genuinely did believe an active WMD program existed in Iraq

This false belief was hardened by political interference in intelligence analysis. Anything that seemed to raise the possibility of an active WMD program was given more weight than anything that contradicted it. This cemented the ‘group-think’ faith in the WMD case.

We did not plan sufficiently for the post war ‘occupation’, Or at least we didn’t protest enough to the Americans that they were not planning sufficiently.

We faced a greater threat from Afghanistan/Pakistan and our energies would have been more usefully spent there.

There you go, Inquiry done. Millions of man hours and tax payer’s money
saved. I’ll link back to this post when the Inquiry is done and we can see how close I got…

I’m always very sceptical of these quasi-judicial show pieces. Think Bloody Sunday, think Arms-for-Iraq, think Diana, think Butler. Millions is spent, much is said, the documentary record is completed – but then what? Don’t get me wrong – I will avidly follow the Inquiry for two reasons: First, you hope that at least a small grain of genuinely new information comes into the public domain. Second there is a guilty schadenfreud. Watching people being grilled by armchair generals who have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight is like picking a scab. You know it is of little benefit but you can’t stop yourself doing it.

Sadly, the outcome of these things rarely has a material impact – those who had inklings before the Inquiry that align with the final judgement will jump up and down saying ‘I told you so’, those who leaned the other way will reject the outcome and use the words ‘government white-wash’. The lessons learned that are produced will be filed, then ignored, then forgotten, then repeated. It was ever thus.

I’ve covered the M-16 and M-4 debate/issue/bone of contention here before but two news items came across my laptop and I’d thought I’d share my take:

Defense Tech quotes and Army Times article that points to M-4 mods in the works Army wide.

the civilian version of the HK-416 may NOT be crippled, that means it could be dropped into any M-4/M-16 style lower receiver.

From a new rail system to a gas-piston upgrade and a round counter, I hope the Army follows through. This would put a better rile in soldiers hands while the Army awaits for that “new technology” that’s on the horizon. (Color me skeptical, but when it does arrive I’ll be the first to cheer it on).

HK took a lot of flack for appearing to cave into the anti-gun lobby and modifying their HK-416 uppers to not work with any lower. The damn thing’s expensive enough as it is. If the rumor is true then black rile fans will P A R T Y!

So Alan Johnson stills wants to extradite Gary McKinnon (interesting piece as well by Henry Porter).

Where is the justice in extraditing Gary McKinnon, what purpose will it serve? McKinnon has been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, and surely the terror and anxiety of extradition will cause further distress. This is indeed a very cruel punishment for a man, who became a DIY hacker to find out how much the American state knew about UFOs. Pure and simple, that was the method in his madness.

And now the American state want to punish him for exposing their sloppy security and to make an example, a sacrificial lamb, by using the convenient excuse of the century ‘War on Terror’. An excuse that gives the state a right, in their eyes, to shed civil liberties and freedoms.

And people like Gary McKinnon are collateral damage.

I bet they’ll find fresh talent in the most surprising places…

Editorial The Guardian, Thursday 22 October 2009 A brown paper envelope for the digital age, Wikilea

Editorial

The Guardian, Thursday 22 October 2009

A brown paper envelope for the digital age, Wikileaks.org is now home to more than 1m documents that governments and big business would rather the public did not see. The site – similar to Wikipedia in style, but otherwise independent of it – serves as an uncensorable and untraceable depository for the truth, able to publish documents that the courts may prevent newspapers and broadcasters from being able to touch. This month it has come of age in Britain, hosting the Minton report on the activities of oil trader Trafigura, even while the firm was trying to use its solicitors to prevent the press from revealing its contents. It was Wikileaks, too, that this week published a membership list of the British National party, revealing how few activists it has. Earlier this year, Lord Oakeshott, using parliamentary privilege, pointed those curious about Barclays’ tax activities to Wikileaks to read the evidence. Useful in Britain, it is invaluable in less free societies, such as China, where the authorities play a cat-and-mouse game with Wikileaks’ Swedish webhosts to try to block access. So far Wikileaks has stayed ahead, with technology leaving the law lagging behind. The site exists in a sort of legal limbo, not private, but not yet fully accepted by courts as part of the public domain. It takes power away from the powerful and hands it to citizens, controversial but essential example of what the web does best: offering unrestricted dispersal of information so that people can judge for themselves.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/oct/22/in-praise-of-wikileaks

IMHO
Wikileaks is another excellent example of Libertarianism working! Please feel FREE to check out what is happening in YOUR AREA that the government and big business and the MainStreamMedia Presstitutes DO NOT want YOU to KNOW!

PLEASE SPREAD THIS LINK!!

http://wikileaks.org/

For more on this topic please see my Libertarian vs Authoritarian Today’s REAL Politic blog. Its time to take the power back!

http://cuthulan.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/libertarian-vs-authoritarian-todays-real-politic/

The Wiki phenomina has been a great benefit to all of humanity that can access it. It has been shown that the worst offenders for posting FALSE informations are the very authorities that claim its full of false information.

According to the BBC, WikiScanner found that some editorial contributions to Wikipedia had originated from computers operated by the Diebold company, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Vatican.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiScanner

It has been shown that Wikipedia contains LESS factual errors per catagory than the encyclopedia Britanica, even with the Vatican and other world authoritarians filling it with LIES!

It is thanks to Wikileaks that the Trifigura gag order was by-passed and the public got to hear ,NOT just about the polution and corrupt business practices BUT also the effort put into covering these work practices up ,rather than CLEAN the practices up!

You can be very sure that YOUR POLITION will be doing everything he/she can to find away to CLOSE DOWN this ESSENTIAL SITE that ensures our very liberty at a time of global government DECIET AND CONSPIRACY!!! Wait for the effort to cast doubt on the reliablity of such sourses etc..etc.. This is the typical response , attack the messenger when you cannot attack the message!
