Veja as duas imagens abaixo.

Utilizando Color->Auto->Aumentar Contraste o resultado deverá ficar assim:

Quando o resultado for satisfatório, achate a imagem, grave e coloque no site.

Script
Baixe o script wm-txt.scm e grave-o no local apropriado.

No Linux em /home/[usuario]/gimp-[ver]/scripts e
no Windows em C:\Documents and Settings\[usuario]\.gimp-[ver]\scripts,
trocando [usuario] é o nome do usuário e [ver] é a versão do GIMP.

@ECHO OFF

rem gli unici parametri da impostare sono i due qua sotto

NOTE:

In Digital Porfolio, Jerry shared with us an action his son created to be able to batch process images with our logo on it. Here’s a few examples of images it worked really well on…

However, as it stands, this logo doesn’t work as well on light images. This is most seen on the next image which does have the logo on it through the action…But, even with me telling you, you will never know…

But with some playing around and some tweaking, I may be able to create an action (or two) to allow me to use this more often and in batch processing (thus saving me some much needed time).

A Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution can be used for preliminary research even before consideri

A Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution can be used for preliminary research even before considering other external sources/vendors to acquire new assets or before creating new assets. You may already have what you need internally, so it may be worth looking inside your organization first. A DAM should able to provide users with “for placement only” (FPO) assets for consideration in a project. These FPO assets could be watermarked by the DAM to easily discern between a lower quality FPO asset (which can not be published as is) and the approved asset for use in a project with the proper rights cleared. Provided you have a fair number of assets for a project with enough metadata to find what you have on hand in a DAM, searching the DAM first may yield less research time for a project.

Realistically, once you acquire and/or create new assets, you may want to add them to the DAM in a timely manner so others may find it too. This makes it easier to reference and use these assets again whenever it fits the need of a project.

DAM user can create a DAM lightbox (or special collection) of specific assets found in the DAM for a particular project which could can shared and collaborated over with other DAM users, regardless of geographic location. These digital lightboxes could even be created and edited before meetings to discuss the project to streamline the process.

If you are worried you may be using the same assets too frequently across various projects, a report from the DAM can list of the number of downloads of assets or even a specific asset.

If you want to maintain brand consistency, you could store your organization’s logos in the DAM so the same, current set is easily searched, distributed and used from a single source (the DAM) rather than fragmenting distribution along with your brand.

How do you use DAM to assist with preliminary research?

(Photo is Copyright Nicole S. Young – All Rights Reserved)

Post by Nicole Young – Follow Nicole on Twitter

When I post an image online to photo sharing site (like Flickr) I put a watermark on nearly every photo I upload. I do my best to make it so the watermark does not overpower the photo – the ones I use are usually small, and sometimes even blended into the background so it’s not the first thing you look at.

Last month I had some comments on an image of mine that said the watermark I used (the basic watermark you can embed to your images using Lightroom 2) was, in a nutshell, distracting and pointless. They went on to ask why I would even use one in the first place, since if someone wanted to steal an image of mine then they could just clone it out?

Fast-forward to last week, when I discovered that one of my photos was being used illegally on a website. The funny part? My watermark was right there on the bottom-left corner of the image. The fact that my name was printed on the image probably helped in its quick removal after sending a DMCA takedown notice to the hosting agent.

So, why do I watermark? I make my living licensing images and rely on those earnings to pay my bills. I watermark to try to protect my images from theft and yes, if someone wants to steal an image then it will still happen. If someone wants to steal my car then it will happen, too, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to leave my car unlocked to make it easier for them. I would much rather share my images and add a small watermark than not share them at all.

Also, keep in mind that watermarks can also be used as a marketing tool. I oftentimes give the people I photograph “web-sized” images with my watermark on it for them to post on Facebook/Flickr/etc. If you do the same and your name and/or website is clearly visible on an image then it can make it easier for potential clients to find you if they like your photographic style.

Whether or not you watermark your images is up to you, and I personally don’t think that there is a right or wrong way of doing it. Ultimately it’s a personal choice and all photographers have different ways of displaying their photography, so choose the method that works best for you

Makes it possible for the photographer, art director, client, and others to easily view an image on a computer screen at the same time, in real-time. Especially useful with technical cameras. Live Preview is now available for both Mac and Windows and comes with improved performance.
Focus Mask New

Accelerate your image selection by using the Focus Mask for fast verification of image sharpness and focus. The Focus Mask is applied both to the image(s) in the viewer and to the thumbnails in the image browser. The Focus Mask is perfectly suited for portrait, wedding and fashion shoots.
Focus Tool New

Get an instant, true view of image sharpness with the Focus tool. Use it as part of your fixed tool tab or drag it out as a floating tool.
Workflow Accelerators Enhanced

Handle large volume shoots even faster with new and enhanced workflow accelerators. New functionality includes improved session handling and an improved importer, which makes import more simple and intuitive as well as an improved progress indication, which provides a quick visual overview of application tasks.

Agar dokumen Anda senantiasa tercatat asal usulnya, buatlah saja “watermark”.

1.	Jalankan Microsoft Word. Buat dokumen baru atau buka dokumen Word Anda.

2.	Dari menu [View], klik [Header and Footer].

3.	Dari toolbar yang muncul, klik [Show/Hide Document Text].

Untuk menghilangkan watermark, klik [View] > [Header and Footer].

So you have your images in Adobe Lightroom and you want a quick proofbook with blurb Booksmart so th

So you have your images in Adobe Lightroom and you want a quick proofbook with blurb Booksmart so the bride can find her images. The Lightroom print module has some easy options for creating a 2×2 grid with file number underneath but

My original file names aren’t numbered simple serially

adding file names decreases the space available for proof images, making them smaller

the print quality of small file names is poor as we have to go through several tiff>jpg>Booksmart conversions.

I have a simple solution to create a proofboox using a 12″ x 12″ hardcover format offered by blurb that ends up with final image sizes being 95% of a traditional 4″ x6″ proof print. The secret is watermarking the images using Watermark Factory 2.0 ($50).

A note on color management: I use sRGB exclusively as converting from one to another inevitably ends up in color shifts unless you are a color management guru – and let’s admit it, you aren’t. True, ProPhoto or Adobe RGB colorspaces are wider but the color gamut of Blurb’s press is closer to Srgb than any other. If you just want it to work without hassle or surprises, stick to sRGB.

Export images from Lightroom

Once you have custom sorted the images to the desired order, select all images in LR by hitting CTRL-A in library module, then fo File>Export and export all images as 8bit TIFF files numbered serially (1,2,3…) with dimensions of 1200×1800 – which is a 4″x6″ print at 300ppi, close enough for what we are doing. Watermark factory will accept 16Bit TIFF files but it doesn’t render them properly with my version. I export to a separate folder on the Desktop named “project “x” files for watermark”

Q: Why are we resizing all the images to a specific number of pixels?

A: Because if the files have been cropped to different pixel sizes the watermarks will end up being different sizes when rendered to the final proof page.

my lightroom export setting to prep images for watermarking

Import images into Watermark Factory

Now open up Watermark Factory (alternatively Photo Mechanic $) and import the whole “files for watermark” folder. Setup a text watermark that uses the file name (minus the file name extension- some other programs do not have this option and who wants .jpg?) of each image. I use Arial, 48point, -20X and -15Y offset and an opacity of about 50-60%. I don’t mind if a few of the watermarks aren’t legible because they are in order so it is easy to figure out from the surrounding photos. Save this as a profile in case something happens and you need to re render a portion of the images as WMFactory doesn’t have a value for the opacity, just a slider and guessing a new value will end up with an inconsistent effect.

Export watermarked images from Watermark Factory

Make sure the image processing options are all unmarked and select JPG file output format (LR doesn’t import any of the other better options such as PNG, and WMFactory doesnt output TIFF) and make sure the JPG settings (the “…” button) it is at 100% image quality with no blurring and not progressive. Press the play button and export all the files to a new folder called “projectx watermarked files for LR”

Sample image with watermark:

Re-import watermarked images into Lightroom and export for Booksmart

Now open up Lightroom and create a new catalog, import the images with no auto processing. Sort them by file name. Now we are ready for the print module where we will be printing to a PDF file. As the printer determines the dimensions of the page you will have to go to printer preferences and create a new profile using the Blurb page dimensions. These are found NOT on the Blurb website (endless confusion will result as there is conflicting information. According to the Booksmart engineers, always use the dimensions Booksmart gives you) but by opening up booksmart, creating a blank book of the size you want and mousing over the internal pages in “edit” view. A brief pop-up will say the full bleed sizes which for a 12×12 book is 3563px wide x 3609px high. Note that it also pops up 11.88″ x 12.03″ @300dpi but a quick calculation reveals that those dimensions are a pixel off – close enough I guess because the page will be trimmed. So we create a new PDF page with 11.88w x 12.03h dimensions.

UPDATE: Lightroom version 2.x and up allow you to print directly to a JPG file, saving an intermediate step! Just go with the dimensions from blurb booksmart, 300ppi, quality 100 and you are ready to go!

In LR print module setup a 2×2 grid with all margins set to .375in (.125in bleed +.25in safe area). I am tempted to get closer to the safe area but if the trim off the top and bottom are not proportional one print edge will be closer to the edge of the paper than the other and it will look unprofessional. a .25in space from the trim line puts it far enough away so a small difference wont be noticeable. As a compromise, I use .30in margins.

Set the cell spacing to zero – this will cause the images to butt up against each other which is a compromise for maximum image size. To help mediate this issue as well as define the border of each image create a black or dark grey stroke of .5 point or more. Note that using the .2point minimum stroke weight WILL cause problems as it is so small when blurb resamples the line it will end up with an inconsistent dotted effect – not good. Even .5 point stroke doesn’t render in the booksmart lo resolution previews so I use .6 point stroke so avoid worry. Set the “print jobs” settings in LR to 300ppi resolution with no or low print sharpening, JPEG quality at 100 and color management to sRGB and intent as perceptual.

An example of the full bleed page output from lightroom, ready for importing into Booksmart:

Note this is a full bleed page and will be trimmed near (~.15in) to the edge of the top and bottom image

Old proofbooks style with filenames(see arrow) under each image. The text was >tiny< and along with a .2pt stroke didn't render very well (aliasing/compression/resizing issues?) in the final book.

Import full-bleed pages into Booksmart

Now you have a folder with serial numbering “projectx -1.jpg,…”, just import them into booksmart (or drag and drop), highlight them all and select “autoflow” while in edit mode. Viola! That is about it – design the covers and you are done! Note you will have to go in and delete the books default words “books title” and “author” from the cover as well as delete the index page, etc. Also the last page has a blurb logo you can pay extra to have removed.

Warning: Text on the spine with imagewrap is risky. I first got back a book with the spine text far, far off from center. A $150 error as I was at a deadline and had to give the bride something. The re-ordered book just had a white spine.

Blurb Coupon Code

Coupon code for 20% off and free shipping through 11/24/2009: BLURBTREAT – saved me $60 off my last order of two books. Yay!

Here is a discussion I found useful in figuring this workflow out:

Introduction In Word 2007 (and the Word 2010 Tech Preview) in a multi-section document without Link

Introduction

In Word 2007 (and the Word 2010 Tech Preview) in a multi-section document without Link to Previous checked, a watermark applied from the Gallery will only place itself into the section of the current selection. This behaviour is inconsistent with how the Custom Watermark dialog behaves. The dialog (which is the only method of applying a watermark in Word 2003) correctly applies the watermark to all sections of the document in Word 2003, 2007 and 2010. I will detail how to work around this with VBA.

It became obvious to me that these two methods of applying a watermark are run by completely separate routines. If you apply a watermark from the gallery then apply another from the dialog you end up with both watermarks (2010 tech preview has fixed this). Interestingly applying a watermark from the gallery always removes previous dialog and gallery watermarks first. But the dialog only removes watermarks inserted by itself, not the gallery.

Luckily we can deal with this problem in VBA by checking the Name of the Shapes in each Header in each Section. The watermark shape always begins with “PowerPlusWaterMarkObject”, followed by a number. This will range from a 7 to 9 digit number. If you’re a keen observer and aware of Shape Name limitations you’ll have realised that Shapes cannot have a string name longer than 32 characters in length. Unless, of course, you are Word. In that case you can name it longer! For the dialog watermarks the number increments by 1 for each additional shape in each header (Primary, First and Even) of each section.

Steps to replicate

Create a new document

From Page Layout > Page Setup > Breaks insert a Next Page Section Break

From Insert > Header & Footer > Header click Edit Header and uncheck Link to Previous, Different First Page and Different Odd & Even Pages

Click Close Header and Footer

From Page Layout, Page Background > Watermark select a watermark such as “Confidential” from the gallery

Result

You should now see that the Watermark you inserted only went into the section where your cursor is sitting. Note that even if you select the entire document or expand your selection the watermark will only be inserted in the section where the selection starts.

Workarounds

Workaround to fix as you apply

The following is a rough workaround able to capture the Watermark Gallery event and populate the rest of the document with the watermark. This will not fix watermarks left by the Gallery when applying a new watermark from the dialog as this event is only triggered by the gallery.

Workaround to populate the entire document with the last added watermark

This workaround will copy the watermark to all headers of all sections, clean up any other watermarks left over, then rename the watermark shapes so that the dialog can recognise it. There aren’t many comments in this code but I’ve tried to comment on the more unusual elements. I’ve matched the odd way Word numbers its watermark shapes as you will see in the comments. The code is less than ideal but it works surprisingly quick.

Go to File > New > to bring up the New Document dialog box.

(enter 6 inches for the width, 4 inches for the height, and 300 pixels/inch for the resolution.)

For Background Contents > Transparent (by clicking on the drop down menu)
Click OK!!

Step 2: Type Your Copyright Information

Grab your Type tool from the Tools palette or by pressing T on your keyboard.

Then press D on your keyboard to set black as your foreground color if it isn’t already, and enter your copyright information.

Select Font & its size from the above tool bar.(Try a bigger size this time!)

To access the copyright symbol “©”,
Press Option-G on a Mac, or hold down the Alt key on Windows and enter 0169 on the numeric keypad. I entered

“Copyright © 2009 WB Photography”
(An easier way to get the copyright sign ~ just copy the above sign and paste it where you want it)

Step 3: Rotate The Text With Free Transform

The copyright watermark tends to look better with the text rotated a bit, so once you’ve entered your text,
Press Ctrl+T (Win) / Command+T (Mac) to bring up the Free Transform handles around your text,

then place your mouse cursor just outside one of the corner handles and drag left or right with your mouse to rotate the text. Hold down the Shift key as you drag to rotate in nice, even increments!

Press Enter (Win) or Return (Mac) to apply the rotation when you’re done.

Step 4: Trim The Document Around The Text

Go to the Image menu > Trim.

(This brings up the Trim dialog box).We want to trim away all the extra space around the text, and since all the extra space is made up of transparent pixels, Select the first option > Transparent Pixels

Click OK, and Photoshop trims away all the extra space around the text

Step 5: Define The Text As A Pattern

Go up to the Edit > Define Pattern.

(We‘re going to create a pattern out of our copyright information. The Pattern Name dialog box appears)

Name your new pattern “copyright” and then click OK.

Step 6: Close The Copyright Document

We’ve done everything we need to do with our copyright document, so go ahead and close out of it at this point. No need to save anything!!
Open an image in photoshop, which you want to watermark with copyright!

Step 7: Add A New Layer In The Original Image Document

Back in our original image document, we currently have one layer, the Background layer, which contains our image. We don’t want to add our copyright information directly to the Background layer, so either click on the New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette or use the keyboard shortcut Shift+Ctrl+Alt+N (Win) / Shift+Command+Option+N
(Mac) to create a new layer above the Background layer, which Photoshop names “Layer 1″:

Step 8: Fill The New Layer With The Copyright Pattern

With our new layer selected in the Layers palette,

Go to the Edit menu > Fill, which brings up the Fill dialog box. For “Contents”, click on the down-pointing arrow and Select Pattern from the list!

Then, with Pattern selected, click on the little thumbnail image beside the words Custom Pattern and then choose your copyright pattern from the list that appears. It will be the last pattern at the bottom!!

Click OK!

(and your new layer is filled with a repeating pattern of your copyright information)

Step 9: Change The Blend Mode To “Overlay” and Lower The Opacity

The only problem now is that the text is too prominent. It’s blocking much of the image from view.

To fix that, with the new layer selected, go up to the layer blend mode options in the top left of the Layers palette,(click F7 for layer palette, if its missing)

Click on the down-pointing arrow beside the word “Normal” and select Overlay from the list.

Then move over to the Opacity option beside it and reduce the opacity as needed. I tried 60% and you can see the results below!!!!

You can try other words, instead of copyright! You can also try a single line of words in the centre of the photograph, with the layer blending options as above! or just play with it! Layer blending options are too coooool!!!!

You can even stamp a personal signature of yours on your photographs! Just like mine!! How?? Maybe next week!

Due to copyright concerns many photographers add a “watermark” to their digital photos

Due to copyright concerns many photographers add a “watermark” to their digital photos — a faint logo or text notice overlaid on the image (here’s an example). However, the basic photo management software that came with your computer or camera doesn’t necessarily include this capability.

Rather than buying a new program, you can try PicMarkr.com, a web site that watermarks your images for free. You can upload up to five images at a time from your computer, Facebook, Flickr, or Picasa and watermark them with text or a custom image in the position you choose. Then you can upload the results back to one of those online services or download onto your computer.

If the free Web version doesn’t do enough for you, you may be interested in the PicMarkr Pro desktop software for Windows at $39.99.

Christy Nockels is a female vocalist and worship leader who over the years has been involved in the passion movement. This is her first solo album outside of that and it’s great (in my humble opinion).

Her album contains a number of cover songs which has spawned a debate on The Joint on whether artists should record cover songs or not. What do you think? Head over there for the full review and participate in the conversation!
