This morning in an interview with Diane Sawyer , pop star and fashion icon Rhianna opened up about her experiences after her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown beat her up unmercilessly.

“That’s embarrassing that that’s the type of person that I fell in love with,” Rihanna said on Good Morning America. “So far in love. So unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened…” warning other women facing domestic violence to not let themselves become blinded by love.

ABC will air more chunks of the interview on Friday’s “Good Morning America” and then Friday evening on the news magazine “20/20.” Brown also will recount his perspective in an interview to air Friday on MTV.

Rhianna is speaking out in an effort to help other young women who may be trapped in a violent relationship.Many women are victims of domestic violence.

In the interview Diane Sawyer pointed out that , on an average, a woman will take a beating seven times before leaving. The 21-year-old star’s chilling response: “Eight or nine, actually.”

Hmmmm, sounds like she is speaking from experience, which would be chilling, given that Chris Brown  has gone on record to say that he did not have any conscience recollection of what transpired while beating Rhianna that evening.

Is is possible that he ”blacked-out” so often, as to not realize that he is a serial abuser?

Remember what we are talking about...

If that is the case,and with the severity on the injuries he inflicted on Rhianna, I think that he may need to be screened for a brain tumor, or something.It sounds like he is not in control of his actions,…or he is a liar.

The bruises on Rhianna were real, and his actions were deplorable.I don’t think his celebrity will make him impregnable to any form retaliation from the men in her family,and I frankly do not think that they or any of us should care if he happens to be famous or not. Sounds like to me,he needs an extreme wake up call of some sort.

Speaking out was difficult for Rihanna, however, “There are a lot of women who’ve experienced what I did, but not in the public. So it made it really difficult. I just felt like, ‘Oh my God, here it goes, my little bit of privacy.”

In Thursday’s interview, Rihanna said, “I am strong. This happened to me. I didn’t cause this. I didn’t do it. This can happen to me and it can happen to anybody.”

Rihanna’s interview coincides with the debut of her new single, “Russian Roulette,” from her upcoming album, “Rated R.” It’s her first CD since 2007’s multiplatinum “Good Girl Gone Bad.” The timing is perfect for her to come out and to speak about all of this. With the release of her new album, the media’s attention will be focused on several aspects of her life,as it should.

Those that follow my blog already understand that I support Rhianna, and for full disclosure, I am a fan.If she were my daughter,my reactions would not have been very positive, so I commend her for her professionalism,and I have no problem with the way she has handled such an extreme circumstance.

This is a lot for any woman of any age to have to deal with in such a public way.

It does not mean I am hating on Chris Brown, but I just have no respect for any of his actions. I hope there is a possibility for him to redeem himself, and I would like that to happen for him, but the…”I was in shock and do not remember what happened”… excuse is cowardly, and his friends and family need to be the one’s to tell him so. At this point, he is pretty much a failure as a man, and is an embarrassment to his family.

Maybe all that fame went to his head.

Stockings have also been rediscovered in the lingerie industry, selling to women who want to feel sexy and desirable. Men have showed much interest in women wearing stockings. Feeling sexy and desirable is an important part of being a woman. Men are encouraging wives and girlfriends to try wearing the stockings as a way to bring more excitement to relationships by desire.

Why do parents dress up their kids in ridiculous outfits, that they, themselves wouldn’t b caught dead wearing?

Ask any woman what their definition of lingerie is and the answer that you get may depend on their age and what was viewed as sexy when they were coming up.

Lingerie comes in so many styles, fabrics, textures and colors that no matter which way a woman’s tastes run, there will be something that they find appealing. While the younger generation may consider themselves to be wearing the latest innovations in intimate apparel, this is not the case at all.

Seamed stockings, a popular item with most women, are not a modern invention. Long before women were allowed to wear short skirts, our ancestors wore them under long, floor length dresses where men never had the opportunity to see and admire them. They were not designed to heighten sex appeal but were worn so the legs would be warm. Don’t forget that there was no such thing as central heating back then and if you wanted to remain warm you had to dress accordingly. After short skirts and dresses entered the fashion world, only then were these stocking viewed by men and considered to be sexually appealing.

The same theory applies to the corsets that are very fashionable to wear these days. Modern women wear them as tops and they come in every type of color, even camouflage. The women who first wore them did so because they did not have bras and girdles back then. This all in one piece would support the breasts, cinch in the waist and girdle the tummy. They could actually be dangerous because they were often laced too tightly and caused the woman wearing it to faint due to lack of oxygen. Today’s corsets are worn more for fashion than figure flaws but you can still get the form correcting ones in lingerie shops.

The older generation of women often donned negligees and penoir sets made of silky materials that highlighted the breasts. You can watch an old black and white movie and see the actresses sail across the room in their flowing gowns wearing high healed slippers with fuzzy trim. This was during the time when being glamorous was considered sexy. Women would get “dressed” for bed, brushing out their hair and donning silk and satin to sleep in.

Their fashion trends didn’t stop with actual garments. The same high heeled fuzzy slippers are still considered fashionable and are still very much in demand today. They can usually be found in the more well known lingerie shops or online. Speaking of high heels, today’s shoe wear would have the ladies of previous generations screaming, “copycat!” Today you see many women wearing espadrilles with the long ribbons that lace up the leg and are tied at the top of the calf. Far from being a new fashion in footwear, these very same shoes were worn decades ago by the same women that today’s generation would call old fashioned.

One of the most common injuries in the workplace is foot injury and according to the NSC or National Safety Council there are over 40,000 per year. Besides the fact that foot injury is a huge issue in the workplace, the feet are submitted to a great deal of stress on a daily basis anyway with tons of force being put upon them just in everyday walking.

If you work in an industrial environment such as a Petro-Chemical plant or in a construction setting where there are more risks and hazardous situations than normal you need to be wearing protective steel toe boots with a steel shank. These types of boots can keep you from suffering a serious foot injury from an object falling on your foot or from stepping on a sharp object. Please note that it is only those boots with the steel shank which is in the sole that prevents wounds to the bottom of the foot. Not all safety boots come equipped with this option so be sure the ones you choose do.

It is necessary that you are aware of your surroundings when you work in a hazardous area and you need to always be on the lookout for situations that could be unsafe. Don’t be tempted to do stupid things and be a show off. You need to always be looking around and stay alert for changing situations and alert your co-workers to them as well.

Wearing protective boots is not an option, it is a necessity if you want to be sure that you stay away from unnecessary injuries to your feet. I am not saying that you will never be injured if you wear safety boots but you will not be hurt nearly as bad if you are injured. Having steel toe boots on can make the difference between having a broken toe and having a toe amputated. Amazingly, only 25% of injury victims surveyed were wearing safety boots when they were injured and the reason they gave for not wearing them was discomfort. I wonder how comfortable they are with their injuries.

Many people mistakenly think that the protective boots are heavy and that is an excuse they give for not wanting to wear them but this is not always the case. Now you can find lightweight attractive safety boots and shoes that are no heavier than normal. You can even get steel toes in a tennis shoe style now. I know because over 20 years ago when I was a young man working on the Oil Refineries I wore them when I was climbing scaffolding over 500 feet in the air. If I could wear them in that environment you can surely wear them on a construction job.

The mindset of most people would be that you are body beautiful if you have a slim figure. Each of us is beautiful in our own way and every body type can be flattered with the right dress to best complement that particular body figure. Dressing up is all about enhancing strong body features while hiding certain flaws.

Heavy bottomed women can balance their figures by selecting dresses that glide over their body’s lower half.

If your problem is having flabby arms you don’t always have to be wearing sleeves to cover them up. You can always add some sexy element with sleeves that have slits or splits.

Petite women can have a leaner and longer line, by wearing empire waist cut clothes to give the illusion of added height.

Dark colored dresses are most ideal for plus size women to shed off pounds on their look. Large prints on a fabric with a dark background would still be flattering as well.

For women who find their legs unattractive to show off it doesn’t mean that they’ll forever be hiding them under a pair of pants. You can always wear a dress or a skirt that goes mid-calf or longer ones for extra coverage. Vibrant colors will give it a sensual appeal.

Wide shoulders shouldn’t bother if you look for dresses that have oversized details. An A-line cut or one with a wide hem can give balance. Avoid wearing tops that have puffy sleeves. Wearing a slim bottom with a voluminous top can also emphasize your broad shoulders.

You can hide a thick waist by either raising the waistline or lowering it somewhere around the hip area.

Many would women would kill to have a full bust but there really are certain women who naturally have large breasts that are too big for their figure. They want to conceal or make it appear smaller than it seems to avoid drawing too much attention from men on that body area. A plunging neckline or a V-neckline is most flattering for women with a full bust to give balance. To avoid emphasizing the bust area, opt for fabrics that skim and avoid wearing tight hugging or clingy tops. Avoid clothes like embellished bodices or tops that have elaborate ruffles, beadwork, etc. on the bust area that will draw attention towards it and will emphasize it more.

Women with small busts can actually fit with ease into most types of clothes but if you want to add some volume to your bust area, wear tops with embellishments, ruffles, etc.

For thin women who don’t have curves give your body figures a feminine touch with bright colored clothes as well as those with bold prints. Avoid wearing tight fitting clothes that’ll show off your straight body, collar bones or hip bones.

You can present a woman with a perfect pair of shoes and she will be your friend for life. For some reason, women and shoes go together like peanut butter and jelly. They are a match made in heaven and you will be hard pressed to find a woman who doesn’t love a new pair of shoes.

The price many women pay for the latest trends and styles in shoes is a huge pain in the feet. The funny thing is foot pain by women is more accepted than any other pain they may experience. If you ask a podiatrist, he will tell you American women are paying a high price to wear the latest fads in women’s shoes. The only ones who are benefiting from this are the people who repair the feet that the fashion industry is determined to ruin.

Current Trends

High heeled shoes are the epitome of women and sexiness. But wearing these type of shoes on a regular basis is a sure fire way to ruin the very limbs you need to walk. When you wear high heels with a very narrow toe, this can cause more problems for those who suffer from existing conditions. Sandals that completely expose your feet are not good for your dogs either. They are flat, often having little or no support and they are often the cause of accidents when they break, or catch on to an object while one is walking.

Those who are fans of athletic wear may think they are taking care of their feet. Nothing can be further from the truth. Many times athletic shoes squish your feet into unnatural positions and can cause lifelong problems in the long run.

Why High Heels Can Damage Your Feet

There are several reasons that high heels can do damage to a woman’s feet. The first reason is that high heels lift your foot out of the position that nature intended. Wearing high heels often can also shorten your Achilles’ tendon. It also pitches the weight of your body in a forward position that is disproportionate to the ball of your foot. This upsets the mechanics that stabilize the foot.

Another thing to consider when you wear high heels is the narrow area and how they make your toes point downward. This makes the person wearing them more prone to spraining an ankle. Your heel was made specifically to absorb the shocks your body may encounter. When you wear high heels this throws the natural balance of the body off and can cause many different types of injuries.

Most women do not care about the risks of high heels. Shoes are beautiful and fun to wear and the more pairs of shoes one has the better. I would gladly walk to the ends of the earth if I was to be rewarded with a cute pair of shoes at the end of the journey, and I am sure there are many women who feel the same.

A few weeks back, saw Blacks freestyle on GSi TV. I noticed the OG member wearing a knitted jumper by the ever growing company Lyle & Scott. Thus, an idea for a new article. I scanned the internet looking for it, and could not find it. So I got in contact with Blacks himself and asked him where he got it from. I searched high and low again for it, and still no luck. So, I just assumed that this potential article was dead in the water, and left it alone. Thankfully, I saved the picture of the actual jumper, and I came across it today. I was on Page 8 of 405 products (there’s a lot more pages to go), and I was about to give up looking around the website, until luckily, I came across the jumper. Thank Men’s Designer Clothes Online! I am sure that you have heard of boat shoes, it is a broad term used to describe a huge segment of the footwear industry. Most of us are familiar with those made by the Sperry Company that have made the word “topsiders” a household name. Native Americans can probably be credited with the original design that shoe makers have adopted and made into the boat shoes of today. Boat shoes today have may similar characteristics of the moccasins that they wore when on the water.

As time went on the boat shoe evolved to become to become a very popular and stylish shoe for the wealthy and affluent that would be seen wearing them on the decks of their yachts. In the fashion world they are classified in between casual and formal. Boat shoes today of course are worn by people who don’t even own a boat or may not even go boating just because they are so stylish. With that said many people wonder what the proper environment or situation is for wearing boat shoes. Boat shoes are not really designed for business casual, loafers really should be the shoe of choice for this. Boat shoes are more for a casual sporty look.

Boat shoes are by their very nature, tough and durable due to their original intended use being for wearing on wet ship decks. I just had to go into the hospital a couple of months ago and the nurses and doctors alike were almost all wearing the new rubber shoes called “Crocs”. Undoubtedly they must be extremely comfortable for so many of the staff at the hospital to be wearing them.
