Breezy conditions today will keep things rather cool with highs only making it into the low to mid 60’s. Lows will fall to near 40 tonight. Thursday will be almost a copy of Wednesday with cool temperatures. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will bring some warmer weather with temperatures back up into the low 70’s. A few showers or storms will be possible late Sunday into early next week. Behind that system will be some slightly cooler weather as temperatures will top out in the 50’s with lows falling back into the upper 30’s and low 40’s.

That’s the local weather forecast for today. Heavy rain. I’d prefer to see a sunny day, but you can’t win ‘em all!

Anyway, we do need rain sometimes of course.

Remnants of Tropical Storm Ida will bring some showers to south eastern area’s of Middle Tennessee today. High temperatures today will remain in the low to mid 60’s for most area’s with extensive cloudiness and scattered showers. With mostly cloudy conditions tonight, temps will stay in the mid 40’s across the basin. Another cool day on Wednesday, but things will dry out with highs in the mid to upper 60’s. Lows Wednesday will drop to the mid 30’s with some patchy frost possible. Thursday and Friday continue the trend of beautiful fall weather with seasonal temperatures each day. Temperatures warm up quite nicely this weekend. Most area’s will see temps back into the low 70’s each day with overnight lows in the upper 40’s. Things cool down again next week with a couple chances of showers. No major outbreaks of colder weather yet. Good day and God Bless.

Over the weekend, Hurricane Ida has gotten its act together and strengthened. Ida will play some impact in our weather for this week.

Due to Ida, some rain will be possible as we head into Tuesday. Once Ida presses on to the east, things will clear out across middle Tennessee once again. Cool nights will be in store for Wednesday night and Thursday night as temperatures will plunge into the upper thirties once again. Things will remain dry and seasonal as we head into the late week and weekend period. Enjoy the fall weather and God Bless!

Thanks for tuning in to your Holiday Weather Forecast channel in the know, WBWF (Whiz Bang Weather Forecasts), 101.1 on your dial. Everyone is gearing up for Thanksgiving – here’s your holiday weather forecast!

Turkeys will thaw in the morning, then warm in the oven to an afternoon high near 190F. The kitchen will turn hot and humid, and if you bother the cook, be ready for a severe squall or cold shoulder.

During the late afternoon and evening, the cold front of a knife will slice through the turkey, causing an accumulation of one to two inches on plates. Mashed potatoes will drift across one side while cranberry sauce creates slippery spots on the other. Please pass the gravy.

A weight watch and indigestion warning have been issued for the entire area, with increased stuffiness around the beltway. During the evening, the turkey will diminish and taper off to leftovers, dropping to a low of 34F in the refrigerator.

Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, high pressure to eat sandwiches will be established. Flurries of leftovers can be expected both days with a 50 percent chance of scattered soup late in the day. We expect a warming trend where soup develops. By early next week, eating pressure will be low as the only wish left will be the bone.

THIS is the weather forecast (I mean really?? Thursday? Partly cloudy… c’mon.) for my annual, exquisite, Californian dream vacation with my bestest best friend in the whole wide world, Ben. Yes, he’s a boy. Total disconnect that I despise the gender yet rely on my bestest at crucial life moments? Probably, but don’t care, and welcome to my blog.

Ben lives in SF, not because he’s a hipster, but because he’s brillz. His mind… far surpasses mine. I dominate wordsmithing… he dominates everything else and more.

This vacation, while long overdue, will be the first time I return to California since my grand exodus in January 09. I left a ton of fond memories and beautiful moments behind. I’m semi-panicked that upon my return I shall stay forever. I’d ship Scout out. See? Perfect.

A more substantive worry than never utilizing the return ticket? Monday.

Off to the West Coast for some R&R ladies and gents… gobble, gobble.

Some very interesting weather is potentially setting up for next week. The midstate could see some heavy rain and gusty winds as well as perhaps a more wintry threat. I am going to hold off on forecasting anything right now officially. I like to be a little more conservative than most when it comes to winter weather, though interesting things are starting to happen. Check out more information on the latest rumors over at Tennessee Weather.

This morning will start out with a little morning fog, giving way to a mostly cloudy day. Some showers will be possible tonight, but those will be rather light. Wednesday, a busy travel day for many looks mostly sunny. Wednesday night a few more showers could fall, but again very light. Thanksgiving day is shaping up to be quite cool with possibly a few sprinkles or flurries for our areas east of interstate 65 and north of interstate 40. The weather will clear out from Friday into the Weekend with seasonal temperatures. More rain looks to enter the picture next week, with some chilly air to follow. Make it a great one! The chance of some snow flurries for the first time this season is coming up later this week. After Thanksgiving day, some showers could transition to a few flakes for Thursday night into Friday morning. Check out my first call map under the Forecast tab to the left.

A chance of showers will return on Sunday with high temperatures generally in the middle 50’s. Those light showers will likely linger into Monday morning before finally clearing out. Colder weather looks to target the eastern United States late next week with possibly even a chance for a little bit of winter fun. More details later tonight.

It is early Thursday morning so going to do a weather focus in between Wednesday and Thursday kinda. Will probably have another wx focus update later this afternoon considering its only about 1am. Today the clouds are going to hang tough across the northern area’s. However, most of Middle Tennessee, especially the southern area’s will see some afternoon sunshine that will help to push temperatures up into the mid to upper 50’s. Those along the Kentucky/Tennessee state line however, will likely hover around 50 most of the afternoon. A chilly night will be in store for tonight as temperatures drop into the low to mid 30’s. Friday through Monday will be clear with just scattered about clouds from time to time. Daytime highs will range from the upper 50’s to the low 60’s. Overnight lows will range from the low to mid 40’s. Another system looks to bring a few showers to the mid-state before Thanksgiving. Once that system moves through around the middle of next week, some much colder air drops down from Canada. A hard freeze looks to be likely by the time next weekend rolls around. Looking into the extended a little bit this morning, I cant help but notice that there is quite a bit of cold weather showing up around the first part of December. It will be interesting to see if winter can get an early start here in Middle Tennessee. Make it a great one and check back this afternoon for another Weather Focus.

Today, highs will top out around 70. Enjoy that warm weather today, because typical November like weather is fixing to arrive to the mid-south. Highs on Tuesday will struggle to make it into the mid 50’s with about a 50% chance of rain hanging around. The same story on Wednesday with a slightly lower chance of some showers, but overnight lows both nights will drop to around 40. Brr. Chilly rain for sure. Thursday through Saturday will clear out nicely with partly cloudy skies, but the cooler weather will be sticking around with highs around 60 and lows around 40. Rain chances return late next weekend. Make it a great one and check back tomorrow for another Weather Focus.

After a beautiful fall day once again, temperatures tonight will fall back into the 40’s across most middle Tennessee locales. Most of Monday will again be a wonderful fall day with highs reaching towards 70 degrees. Wow, gorgeous weather for mid November. This time of year is typically known for wild temperature swings and severe weather and occasionally wintry weather. A low pressure system will bring showers to the area Monday night through Tuesday. Tuesday night will bring a chilly rain and temperatures drop into the 40’s. Things will clear out for Wednesday through Friday with seasonal temperatures of highs in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s while nighttime lows will range from the upper 30’s to the mid 40’s. More rain will return late next weekend with some cooler air again. Towards the end of the month, things are looking quite chilly, but models can change between now and then, just something to look at.
