Wow, I was driving into the office this morning and a 25 minute drive was drawn out into an hour and 15 minutes. The snow was falling and traffic was crawling. This happens every once and a while here in Alaska. So I stared at the break lights in front of me and made sure I did not end up on the trailor hitch of the truck in front of me. I also listened to a great book along the way.

“Marketing to the Social Web” by Larry Weber. Very good listening material for a drive like this morning. It made me really think about my own business practices. I also saw the relevance this book would have in many industries. Larry Weber illustrates the use of blogs and website for business and client communication in a manner that is easy to understand.

So, now that I am here in the office I go online, take a quick look at some of the national blog sites and Wow. I’ve only done limited blogging and it in no way resembles what I see out there in the mainstream of America. These modern blog sites resemble the front page of Google and MSN.

Blog’s have become a business and are gaining traction in business. Well that is an understatement. Blog’s have a very prominent place in business today. Whether its real estate, automotive, big oil, or the retail market place, there is a blog about the industry. Not just one blog, probably 100’s. Blog’s are a great way to get a message out, it’s a great way to vent, and it’s a great way to have fun. Blog’s are serious, funny, and very, very cool. There are even video blogs.

 How do you jump in?

Quickly and with a passion. I say this because if you are not passionate about something, you will not follow through. What you blog about will not be very interesting. So get some passion and have some fun. If you do not want to blog, then post comments on blogs. There are some very interesting pieces out there.

Hari yang penuh kegiatan, habis ngajar terus di ajar TIK di LAB.KOMP. SMAN 3 Madiun. Minggu depan tryout I UN dimulai, teru..ssss belajar sampai bisa bikin webbolg.

Nowadays online activities become more crowded. There are many people who spend many hours/day facing the laptop, PC, or other devices to connect to the internet and doing some online activities such as browsing, chatting, downloading and other purposes. This trend (people using internet) has become global issue. Backward to the 1990s era, bloggers or webmasters make their website or blog with wordpress platform. Now, hundreds of free blog hosting is joining the blogsphere.

Every single person in USA nowadays has own blog. It proves that blogging activity right now becomes the prior issues in the world. What are the reasons from them of having blog? Simple, they are social creatures that want to make network with others.

Perhaps you use facebook, friendster, twitter, blogged, and other social bookmarking to communicate easily with your relations. But don’t you want to have your own blog so that you can share your bright ideas to the wider readers? Here is the advantages of having your own blog:

1. You have your own domain. For example, you want to build your profile page and your name is Karen. You choose wordpress platform as the hosting service. For instance your blog domain name will be: Karen.wordpress.com. That looks more cool than www.friendster.com/karen, doesn’t it?

2. Get the targeted visitors. Once you have submit your blog/webblog to the search engine such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc, it will be listed on the specific category. For instancem your blog/webblog topic is “Home and Gardening”. So you will get visitors who are interested in “home and Gardening” topic because your blog indexed in that category.

3. Make money online by blogging. Wether you pay for blogging host or you make your free blog, it will drive dollars to your account. There are many online business opportunity you can get from blogging such as Paid Review, Google Adsense, Selling Text Link Ad, etc.

What is the different between blog and webblog? The different is for the domain’s name. When you register blog you will get sub-domain for instance : Karen.wordpress.com. But if you wabt to pay more or send you bucks to the webblog developer your domain will be www.karen.com.

I will let you know that webblog is more popular in Search Engine because it is easy to remember. For the Google Point of View, webblog will be rated better than ordinary blog. I don’t know how google makes it, but it makes it. So, if you want to boost your profile in order to be known by many people, you may choose webblog instead of blog.
