If one proton of one atom in my body has a billion solar systems in it’s being and one place there less than a speck of sand has beings living on it and they are made up of the same thing as I or I am made up of it because the speck and the me are one thing, inseparable except by my casting it out but I am all things so when I cast it out there is no place but back in to me it must go to be mixed again in an ever-changing, roiling mass of energy as known by me but which is unknowable to the speck. The total is me yet the speck is me.

I do not want to kill myself, I only want to let the speck change to my benefit. My purpose is only to be and the only battle should be against that opposite, not to be.

This is a list of good movies to watch while high on Pot that I decided to compile, after smoking a little Pot. I started it and got quite most of it done and then pawned the rest off on a couple of buddies! These are in no particular order, and this list isn’t "The Best Movies to Watch High on Pot," just some good movies to watch while enjoying the green.

• Any Monty Python Movie (but especially Monty Python and the Holy Grail)

  • ADDED LATE: At first for got to add any Monty Python, mostly due to smoking pot and getting distracted by shiny things!  Anyway, anything by Monty Python fits the bill for good watching while high…anything. I especially like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, though, as I believe it just may be the pinnacle of humour!
• The Big Lebowski
  • Just an all round cool movie with cool characters. Jeff Bridges as Jeffrey Lebowski (aka "The Dude") is amazing, and John Goodman as The Dudes friend Walter Sobchak is a performance you won’t soon forget. A mix up around two people with the same name that leads to an epic battle to get the Dude’s carpet replaced or cleaned after a thug pissed on it… Never mind that, just take a few puffs and watch the damn thing!
• Caddyshack
  • One of the best Summer comedies of all time! Trouble’s brewing at an upscale private golf course/country club when a crass, fun loving loudmouthed millionaire plans on joining the quiet and normally reserved club. Bill Murray puts in one of the funniest performances ever captured on film (in my opinion, at least), as the messed up, pot smokin’, gopher hunting groundskeeper Carl Spackler. Great performances from Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield (his best performance!) and Ted Night make this one a gem.
• Spaceballs
  • Mel Brooks takes on Star Wars. Brooks comedic genius combined with alumni of the great Canadian Second City Television (SCTV) Rick Moranis and the late John Candy makes this a winning sci-fi cheesefest.
• Evil Dead 2
  • A Sam Raimi masterpiece. I know it’s it’s Evil Dead 2, but it’s not necessary to watch the first. Evil Dead 2 is written as if the first didn’t take place, despite both staring the great Bruce Campbell and taking place in the same old scary cabin. It’s just that I find the second movie superior. Even so, I still suggest watching the original Evil Dead.
• A Scanner Darkly
  • An award winning book by Philip K. Dick, translated into an animation meets reality festival for the eyes with a story that draws you deep into itself. A twisted tale of a deep undercover vice cop trying to find the source of the drug "Substance D," a drug that he himself has become addicted to. A myriad of twisted characters and plot drive this movie. A great cast of actors including Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Winona Ryder and Woody Harrelson certainly doesn’t hurt either. Try to make sure you smoke your good, heavy mental stuff for this movie.
• Pink Floyd The Wall
  • An over the top, self indulgent whiny story about how shitty life would be if you were a fabulously filthy rich monster rock star made of equal parts Syd Barret and Roger Waters. Oh, and it totally freakin’ rocks. Pink Floyd’s monster Rock Opera concept album, The Wall fuels this warped, cool stylistic animations mixed with live action. A feast for the ears, eyes and mind. Puff away!!!
• Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
  • A truly funny, stupid movie about two stoned buddies trying to score some White Castle burgers. Neil Patrick Harris (as himself) steals their car, and the dubious duo end up riding on the back of a cheetah so you know this is a good movie!
• Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters 
• One of the most disjointed plot-lines I’ve ever seen with a bizarre collection of animated characters including a floating, super-powerful "fries", a milkshake with tiny hands, a suggested omniscient watermelon and his side-kick, Rush’s Niel Peart. The "Let’s All Grab a Snack" retro intro is classic.  "Don’t talk, watch! Don’t talk, watch! You came here, watch it! You don’t like it, walk out!

• Heavy metal

  • An awesome movie to watch after smoking a little something,something. It is animated, there is great music and boobs, it took forever to get on vhs , just waiting for a blu-ray copy of it.

• The Kentucky Fried Movie
  • The very first movie from John Landis (He even has a cameo). This collection of skits, satire, and parodies from 1977 stands also as one of the first efforts from the creative team of Jim Abrahams  and the Zucker Brothers of Airplane! and The Naked Gun fame. It sports a "movie within-a-movie" called "A fist Full of Yen" which is a spoof of Enter the Dragon. Classic. Any movie that starts off with a news anchor stating "The popcorn you are eating has been pissed in…film at 11" receives high accolades.  

As you probably know, a list like this could go on and on… but it won’t!

Jamal from the delivery service stopped by earlier with some tasty BC bud and I offered him a leftover drumstick. He started complaining that his 401(k) still hadn’t gotten back to its 2007 level. Jesus Fucking Christ, weed delivery guys have 401(k) plans these days? What a great fucking country this is! Anyway, I said I don’t want to hear any fucking belly-aching from you about the goddamn financial crisis! I lost close to a billion dollars! But that’s not what really stings. What really hurts is the collapse of all the M&A deals I helped put together.

You can earn all the bonus money in the world from the trading desk, but nothing tickled the underside of my nutsack as much as putting together a good takeover. A man can really put his stamp on history by arranging a good deal. Now everyone claims Wall Street often tricks some innocent hayseed CEO into an ill-fated merger just to collect some huge fees. But that’s only part of the reason. Shit, I did it for two more important reasons:

The pitch was to alleviate the shitty reputation Microsoft had gotten for monopoly powers and buggy products prone to catch viruses. So we got Ballmer real stoned one night and talk him into buying the world’s largest provider of soft-serve ice-cream. That way Windows users could enjoy a nice vanilla-chocolate swirl or a Nutterbutter as they waited for their machines to reboot. Alas, the Mister MicroSoftee Corp. was never to be.

Indeed, some of my best deal ideas came to me when I had the munchies. I also almost got the biggest U.S. telephone company to buy the biggest maker of pierogies. But A.T. & Mrs. T’s Inc. was not to be either.

Now, Berkshire Hathaway has snapped up some companies on the cheap recently. But when the Dow was at a record in ‘07, the Oracle was about ready to cash in, tune out and turn on. He wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a professional ukele player. Shit, who was I to get in his way? But first he needed to buy his favorite band. Fuck it, this one hurts the most because I totally would’ve gone to see Warren Buffett, Jimmy Buffet and the Coral-Berkshire-Refer-Hathaway Band.

The one deal that actually made some sort of business sense was the largest U.S. tiremaker buying Church & Dwight, maker of Trojan condoms. In this case, the company’s name would’ve stayed the same: The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

I’d like to know the person who first came up with the notion that ‘’all’’ docs & medi students are boring creatures. See the thing is, these blokes know so much about the way the body & its organs work that they inherently know all the loopholes associated with it.

I used to think that 99.9% of docs & medi students were fags too. Then I met Mr. Brown. Ok so Mr. Brown might actually be a apart of the 0.1% you might say, but let me just add this, Mr. Brown says he’s not alone. ‘’There are hundreds like me’’, ‘’they are all like me’’, which leads me to believe that the fagness deemed fitting for docs & med students is purely a Sri Lankan phenomenon. Now if you happen to be a lankan doc or medi student going through this I’d like you to read the disclaimer mentioned in the ‘’about’’ section of this blog. 

So what’s the thing about this Mr. Brown dude? For beginners, them med students including the said Brown parties quite a lot in the Gold coast… what’s the big deal? With fucking saline strapped to their arms & flowing through their veins so they can drink all night & not get shit faced for fuck’s sake! Impressive…

Note – There’s no Bacardi 151 available at the duty free or anywhere in Sri Lanka. I checked. Try the US, if anyone’s coming over you now know what you want for Christmas now. 

Microwave the weed at the highest possible temp, think Mr. Brown mentioned like 300 degrees or something. Apparently it activates some chemical reaction & elevates something from an inactive to an active state. Thermo chemistry. Enthalpy of what the fuck was it? 

Anyway, you then put what’s left of this stuff into a strainer & pour the Bacardi 151 through it mixing & string all the while. 

What you end up getting on the other side is toxic shit that is guaranteed to have you crawling on the floor in quick time.

Warning – You’re only supposed to have like 5ml. Do not, gup down a 50 in your alcoholic sisters favourite shot glass. If you happen to do so read the disclaimer mentioned on the ‘’about’’ section of this blog.

Giving thanks on Thanksgiving is a somewhat artificial tradition, wherein we feel compelled by our culture to be grateful. The presumption is that without Thanksgiving, we wouldn’t remember to be grateful. This is hardly a good way to lead your life, being thankful only once a year. It’s an archaic, patriarchal philosophy. But the truth is that in times of great suffering, we hardly remember to be thankful for what we have. Thanksigiving may be a poor excuse to remember what the world has given you, but that’s what a blog is for!

The fact that I am living in a golden age of independent cinema, where quality movies can be made on an immensely low budget without any stars, and still have a chance at stardom. Because of this, mainstream movies have been forced to grow artisitically just to compete, and film has improved because of it. This year, thanks to I Love You Man, Zombieland, Inglorious Basterds, An Education, and Where the Wild Things, and here’s to the good movies within the next month!

Louisana native Lil Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch feels he should be subjected to rehab instead of a prison term.

Lil Boosie has a had a fair amount of trouble with the law in the past few months. Since he was arrested and convicted for his third offense for possession of marijuana he then violated his house arrest and was ordered to serve a two year prison term.

Boosie Bad Azz feels he is being so harshly judged because of his rap alter ego and on who he really is, Torrence Hatch.

“If I made a mistake with marijuana, why am I not eligible for rehab?” Boosie questioned. “I’ve been on marijuana since a teenager. I need some rehab. Jail is not rehab.”

“They’re treating me on who they think I am. They judging me on Boosie Bad Azz, not Torrence Hatch,” Boosie stated to Louisiana’s WAFB Channel 9 before starting his sentence. “I had to do these two shows these last two days to feed my family.”

Lil Boosie is currently in custody at Winn Correctional Center in Louisiana, serving his term. Once he is released he will also have to complete five years of probation.

Today I was checking the music in my ipod…so I found that….back to the old days in the Bulgarian Snowboarding…

Yesterday, my friend Alex and I went to Memorial HS on the west side of Madison to speak at our friend Lisa’s family life class about homosexuality.  To say the least, the very idea of doing this provoked a lot of emotions and memories as well as making me examine my own beliefs and opinions.

When I woke up in the morning I had to finish a paper, so my mind was kept off of the subject for a bit.  But then with the paper finished, I had about an hour to let my nervousness build before Alex picked me up.  To contextualize this, Memorial is a high school and in my old age I feel like I have nothing left in common with the average high schooler.  Also, the majority of students are from racial minorities and much of the debate around LGBT legislation and homophobia surrounds the lack of support and outright homophobia by other minorities.  Therefore, I was very nervous.  I really had no idea what to expect.  My worst case scenario would have been a student being unabashedly homophobic toward me or Alex and then having the class support that view point.  I was pleasantly surprised by the attitudes of the students, and to a certain extent, some of my faith in humanity was restored.

We arrived at the school a little after eight and proceeded through the maze of hallways and classrooms until we arrived at the home economics module of rooms.  Then we took our seats at a table in the front of the classroom and waited for the students to filter in.  After the bell rang and the students settled down, Lisa introduced us and how things would work for our discussion–basically they could ask us anything and we could either choose to answer or pass (we never ended up passing on a question).  Things started slowly.  There were a few girls in the class who were the most comfortable asking questions, because, I believe, they had previous experiences with gay people.  The two boys in the classroom were visibly uncomfortable and ended up staring at their papers for the majority of the time, only to ask, “You guys smoke weed?”  To which Alex tersely answered, “Why would I want to do that to my body?”  Every class (we talked to three) began with the same series of questions:  When did you know you were gay?,  Are you two dating?,  Are you dating anyone?, How/When did you come out? etc.  To be honest, these questions definitely made me anxious at times .  A lot of these topics/issues are things from my history that have been difficult and painful at times and are things that I don’t revisit and examine on a frequent basis.

Eventually the conversation became easier.  We became more comfortable with the students ,and they became more comfortable with us.  And we repeated this three times.  It genuinely surprised me how open minded the students were and how uninformed they were at the same time.  A lot of questions dealt with whether we had given up on women, who is the man/who is the woman in a gay relationship, etc.  I guess what I found most surprising is that these are things that people really don’t understand, which made me all the more thankful that I could talk to these young people and broaden their horizons.  A few of the students even said during the discussions that they thought we were cool and would be friends with us, which I found to be extremely touching and endearing.  Another thing that I think is interesting is that all these students will most likely have attitudes toward homosexuality in their adulthood that will be divergent from their parents.

We talked for a bit about hate crimes as well.  One girl in the second class told us a story about how her cousin in Chicago was stabbed to death for being gay.  Afterwards her family members told her his murder was justified, and he was currently in Hell (she did not share these opinions).  I honestly wanted to cry.  We talked about how tragic that was and how it is all too common of an occurrence in our world.  Just the other week a teenage boy was decapitated, dismembered and partially burned in Puerto Rico.  We also talked about the fact that the media does not pick up these stories and report on the extreme brutality.

Other questions we got dealt with gay marriage and gay families.  One of the big points I tried to impart was that marriage is a legal contract above all else.  The religious ceremony is really just pomp and circumstance.  Furthermore, we talked about how political and religious élites exploit a few select passages from the Bible to unite all the homophobes together in light of increasing disenchantment with the GOP and increasing secularism.  This point the kids really seemed to get.  They understood that similar things like pre-marital sex, theft, and divorce are equal or greater sins that are not focused on in the national dialogue.  Families were another big issue.  I think every class asked us if we planned on having children.  Then another familiar line of questioning came up:  Will they be teased in school?, Are all gay people pedophiles?, Do children need two opposite sex parents?  All these questions were answered and myths were debunked!

I think the largest message that we tried to get across is that everyone is different and we all have our own tastes and attitudes and identities–and that’s fine!  For the most part I think the students picked up on that.  I found this to be a really good experience for myself, and I know Alex enjoyed it especially, because he is studying to be a counselor.  All in all, the young generation is far from perfect, but it still has a lot of potential and willingness to think independently.

Ο Kesey στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του ’50 δούλευε νυχτερινή βάρδια σε ένα νοσοκομείο βετεράνων. Εκεί συζητούσε με τους ασθενείς, συχνά υπό την επήρεια παραισθησιογόνων. Ο Kesey δεν θεωρούσε πως οι τρόφιμοι ήταν τρελοί, αλλά ότι μπήκαν στο περιθώριο επειδή δεν συμπεριφέρονταν σύμφωνα με τα συμβατικά κοινωνικά στερεότυπα.

Έτσι,μια μέρα του 1959, υπό την επήρεια οκτώ φυτών peyote, όπως ο ίδιος ισχυριζόταν, έγραψε τις τρεις πρώτες σελίδες του βιβλίου που τον έκανε ευρύτερα γνωστό…
