Presentation

Get ready for a big nice pile of fail. Now that isn’t saying that Wet’s graphics are sub par in and of itself. The environments are well designed to show off her acrobatic prowess (although lacking a fine level of polish), the enemy units vary enough in appearance to not look like they came as a result of a money-saving copy and paste fest, and the main character is definitely easy on the eyes. The major fault for this game is the presentation of the game itself.
The game seems to be inspired by kill bill fanboy who liked cinematic adventures a bit too much as the intentionally over the top animations go past the mark of awesome intensity and right into utterly lame territory that would make Devil May Cry star Dante facepalm. Why does Rubi toss EVERY bottle of liquor she drinks into the air, shoot it as it is right above her, strike a “mean” pose and then move on? Why must she stab every major male opponent right through the genitalia? Why must she spout cliché ridden and sadly generic over aggressive lines to anyone and everyone? It’s because the developers tried to force “badass appeal” on the lead character and failed miserably.
Another aggravation is that there are commercials that come in between certain chapters (such as selling pickles) that you can not skip and are forced to watch, none of which are in any way entertaining. In addition to that, when you start getting low on health, it starts to tear like a movie reel. Cute touch to add a cinematic feel but this can block key areas on the map when in a firefight and is just punishing on the eyes (most noticeable as it starts to give and the grainy flashes of reel increase)
Lastly, this is the first game I have ever played in my entire life across 9 or so platforms that made me want to mute the T.V. (or turn on music via the hard drive, since you can on the 360). It is simply torture on the ears. I don’t think it came down to taste in music as I have listen to oldies, rock, rap, country, metal, ska, punk, etc. No matter what you like, it’s still tragic.
Kudos to the developers for trying to make a badass female lead and all but when you make her fail so hard it is almost an insult to female gender as a whole.

4/10

Story

You are Rubi, an angry gun wielding, sword carrying badass who is set to drop in and take back what is hers (she starts off mentioning good that are rightfully hers before she makes her first assault). Along the way she gets hired to track down a man’s son as he is set to take over the “family business”. It was around this point that I could no longer take anything seriously and had to skip scenes just to make it to the end.
The writing isn’t in any way deep or enlightening and seems to rely heavily on Rubi spouting off hard ass phrases and threats to enemies. The voice acting itself is done rather well though, so at least the voice actors did the best they could with the material in hand.
I know in most action games you don’t necessarily need a reason to tear foes apart or to empty clips into them but it would have been nice to see some kind of competent narrative behind the mayhem.

4/10

Gameplay

If you didn’t take too well to Stranglehold, just stop reading as you will not want to play this game.
This is a third person action game which has heroine Rubi dual wielding guns to shoot down waves of criminals until she gets to her goal. The key element is the acrobatics system, which slows time down when she is jumping, sliding, or swinging off of poles to accurately target enemies while on the move. This sounds great in theory but somewhat fails in practice. The first major issue with this is that the aiming circle is miniscule and doesn’t variate with each weapon, so a pistol round has the same blast radius as a shotgun. I don’t think the developers have ever handled a weapon in real life as that alone would have seemed laughable. Secondly, you have to move Rubi and the aiming circle at the same time which will prove frustrating. Trying to have her run off of a wall and then jump over a gap while trying to shoot down four enemies is as aggravating as you would think. There is some help as the dual wielded weapon autofires as you perform acrobatics but it doesnt do anywhere near enough damage to be deemed effective. Lastly, the game forces you to do acrobatics even when it doesn’t seem necessary. You will not gather any kind of significant points (which goes towards upgradeable skills) by just running and gunning (or slashing). And that is assuming you can even kill any enemies when not perform acrobatics as in normal time enemies can turn you into a sack of bullet riddled flesh within 10 seconds or less. Oh, and let’s not forger that you can’t zoom in on most weapons so trying to use your weapon effectively is a hardship. You will find yourself hopping and sliding around like a clown just to fight basic enemies.
Now as I mentioned before, there are upgradeable skills (which use points earned in the main campaign) to beef up Rubi and her weapons. I liked this system but since most of the upgrades are basic and vanilla you won’t be running with excitement towards the upgrade menu.
That isn’t to say the game is entirely bad.
The acrobatics (when used for navigating areas) are entertaining as you can run off walls, swing between poles, run along ledges, slide under obstructions, etc. They did a phenomenal job with this in regards to exploring the environments.
Also, rage mode is somewhat entertaining (although it’s still hampered down by the core gameplay issues) as it puts you in a small area with tons of enemies which you have to tear down in order to make it out alive. You could very well engage tens if not hundreds of enemies in some of the rage modes and that allows you to have at it with reckless abandoned. I found this small side mode more fun than the main campaign itself.
Lastly, they do provide extra content with challenge modes which test your proficiency in combat with a points count mode (which has you play each campaign chapter trying to rack up a specific amount of points) and your speed in specific time trials where you have to finish a race within a very demanding timeframe. This helps prolong the wet experience for fans of the game, so if your in luck if you beat the game and don’t want to get dry.

6/10

Achievements

This is one of the better areas of the game as the achievements are all offline (there is no MP modes) and are fairly easy to obtain. I got 500+ points with little effort and without a lot of hours clocked in. If the game was more enjoyable I would have pushed for more. If you can stand the game, you can get some nice gamerscore out of this one.

8/10

Overall

I get what the developers tried to do with the “Let’s make a crazy game in the kill bill spirit with a badass female lead who will rock out some insane action film moments ” approach but I found it to be as refreshing as six-day old cola, and by that I mean it comes up flat.
I can’t honestly recommend this game even as a rental until it comes down to bargain bin pricing (20 dollars or less). The action is hampered down by a poor combat system which relies way too much on the acrobatics system and the story by no means encourages you to play more of it. Only those desperate for gamerscore should look here.

5/10

Recommendation: Avoid

Good evening to you all bloggers, Jenny blogging tonight.

Well today we discovered that the lane at the bottom of the driveway of our stables this morning has in fact become even more flooded and deeper than it was on the weekend. It’s also moved up the driveway a little bit more which means that the water is getting close to our home, which is not a good thing really. The water is still running though the yards and down the drive and passed our home, but good news is that we now have ten sand bags in front of our front door that hardly any water is getting though. To get into our home we simply open the top part of our front door and in, simple really. Picture below is some of our grazing flooded, and this was on high ground, the bottom two fields are a good 2 foot under water at the lower end of them so no using the bottom fields again this year me thinks.

For the staffs personal wellbeing me and Motoko and told them to wear their 66North waterproof clothing, we normally only ever use for hacking out. Reason is that the 66North clothing is same type as Ocean which is that oil skin type, but its orange and very hi visibility. Unlike our Ocean gear that is Orange and Blue. So all of our staff members now wearing their 66North clothing so they show up on the yard, this means we can see each other though all this flooding and rain. Also Motoko told them to go to their provided cottages and, do a stock take on all of their food and note it down and hand a copy to us so we know how long we can all home out. It’s good news as every one as plenty of supplies for a good whole week, and by then all this flooding should be slowly going. We have a plan to use our canoe and paddle around the flooded lane for supplies from local farm shop which is not as flooded as we are. Also Sam our friend is a flood response operative and she lives on the arm with her partner. So help is a flooded lane away if we really badly need it.

With all this weather no one as you know can enter our leave our stables, so today has been customer free. So that’s not so good, but means that there are no lessons and treks to take and lead. That means there is more time to work on other things.

Also if you are a fan of the band called Muse, you will love this video.

I think it was a really great performance but not as good as their Devon gig which was just fantastic to hear.

Everyone here been really cheerful and up beat about the whole thing and Motoko has been wearing a lifejacket all day over her gear as a joke all day, that made me smile. Also have a painted sign on our yards driveway gate with a cartoon raft with lots of horses on board it. Was my idea, so I was the one to wade in and tie it to the gate, once again I got my hunters flooded. I really must remember to wear my waders next time I do anything like test the depth or put if funny signs.

Here is another RNLI video to continue Motoko’s RNLI support in her last blog.

But that is it for now, I need to see to our fire and then help Motoko with our dinner. You can’t go wrong with bangers and mash!

Galahs: “Bandit”, “Ace” & “Bondi”

This picture is of Ace on his second day with us. Jason, his previous owner, said he hadn’t bathed in a couple days since being on the road and that he’d probably appreciate a bath. Luckily, Jason took amazing care of Ace before he came to us and so he has settled in really well with our flock already.

Day two he was bathing with Bandit and Bondi and he was able to fit easily into sharing an aviary with all our medium sized birds, including our grey, Cressi.

He already came eating the same pellets ours do, the organic Feed Your Flock parrot pellets. So nutrition has been another easy thing with Ace. He eats and tries everything we give him and is very anxious when in the kitchen and food preparation is going on.

Because Jason did such a great job raising Ace, he has had a very smooth transition into our home. Yet another amazing reason to work and train with your bird. You never know when something might happen to you, and if it does, you need to be prepared and have something planned for your bird. And you don’t want that move to be traumatic.

Here are some things you can do with your bird that will help your relationship with him/her now and also make a smoothe transition into someone else’s home should something ever happen to you (something none of us want to think about but all of us should be prepared for):

Trick training: because Ace knows tricks already he doesn’t feel left out when we work with our birds too, in fact, he knows the cues and behaviors to do and has fun competing with the other birds.

A great diet: feed fresh foods even if your bird won’t touch them, do what you can to get them eaten by your bird and get your bird on a healthy organic pellet diet rather than the unhealthy colored ones.

Take your bird to meet new people and get social so it is willing to step up onto new people if you ask it to.

Get your bird used to travel cages and day trips so it travels easier.

I havent written for about a week. I was planning to the other day, and then I got sick with suspect

I havent written for about a week. I was planning to the other day, and then I got sick with suspected swine flu! I am taking the Tamiflu meds that I have been prescribed and feel slightly better; the pain killers seem to help me faze in and out of the real world. All in all, I dont think I have had the worst case of flu ever, but it has been horrible. I am still not better in the slightest but should be in a few days. To take 5 mins on your hands and knees to get upstairs to the toilet doesnt really help esteem…

It was my friend Lauren’s 21st birthday yesterday, but alas I was too poorly to go out with her, and then go to work I will make it up to you I promise, and I hope you had a good birthday!

Today I found out that my dad has been taking great photos of Lego men!? He stole a load from me before the summer but I hadnt seen any of the produce. Here is my favourite:

Click the image to see all of his work. He does a lot of nature and macro photography, which I think is great. There is no dispute that my photography inspiration and knowledge has always come from him

What else have I found while laying around feeling sorry for myself…? A beautiful place called Stitch Lab, which looks too good to be true!:

When I feel better I am planning to sort out the spare room into a spare room/sewing and crafts room! I cant wait!

This living room is very cute! I love the crochet throw on the sofa, the little green table in the back and the kitchen too…:

I also want a typewriter like this! Its amazing!:

Im not sure what else to write about at the moment, my brain is a bit fried from all the pain killers. Hopefully I will feel a bit better tomorrow.

Hello all you bloggers this is Motoko blogging.

Well the rain still comes and with rain comes flooding, we are now really cut off from the closeted down about five miles away. Bottom of our yards driveway and the lane it leads too is totally flooded. Jenny felt like she wanted to test the depth by walking into it. It proved that the water was hip height, so after flooding her hunter wellies and wading back out we she agreed that it was not the best way to test the depth. So she now has her waterproof trousers and her socks and hunter wellies and jeans on cloths horse in front of our log fire. Told her next time she should try something like that she should year a lifejacket or buoyancy aid and a drysuit, that didn’t go down to well and only reply I got from her was a raised eye brow followed by a frown.

This morning we mucked out the whole yard between us, it didn’t take that long really. Part time people for very clear reasons can’t get in. So until they can and the flood water goes away me and Jenny will do the mornings on the yard on Fri, Sat and Sun and then some of our other staff that live in the stable cottages can do the afternoon and evening. So far its working really well, downside is that one of our part time girls is a college student who helps on Fridays, he arrived before the flood water burst into the lanes. So she is now sharing a cottage with Anna as she can’t get home or to college for that matter.

Our paddocks are oke which really surprised me. Oke in the way that they are still there and not been swept away by the flood water, but two out of five paddocks are flooded and the grazing is not that great but we will work around it.

Ground floor flooded again last night even though we added more sand bags, its like a bunker now and still the water floods in, never mind. We broke the hunters out and grabbed a broom each and swept it out in record time, as it didn’t flood as bad as before. I’ve stocked up on logs for the fire and we have plenty of food so I am sure that we will be ok.

The RNLI need to be thanked I think for helping our little part of the world that is Cumbria. With out you people would be stuck in cars, homes and other places. So I would like to thank the brave RNLI women and men who have been helping.

As we move from autumn into winter, Kuwait got a much-needed wash yesterday. Yes we had some rain since early November, but it was more falling-mud than water droplets. Yesterday was different… it cleaned everything including the air. The horizon at sea was razor sharp.

Driving around last night, Kuwait was glistening. Our streets, buildings, trees and lamps, all washed off last year’s settled dust.

I’ve been planning these shots for quite some time now. In fact, I’m embarrassed to admit that I bought the clear umbrella – for this very purpose – back in 2006! I had one thing in mind after taking this photograph of Tower Bridge London: I need to have an image that says: Rainy Kuwait.

Now if you are a HARDCORE Jesus Freak……… like I was when I was younger you lived your life as holy as possible! No pants, no cutting of the hair, no boys, no anything! I was SO reserved! I never let anyone into the realm of my soul. Not even my sisters who I would say were my best friends.

I knew I was afraid to step outside of me because I would fall into “gayisms”. Is that even a word? I remember growing up the only friends I somewhat had were in church, and they were my friends because they had to be. How sad is that… I believed they were truly close to me. But alas it was because of convenience.

Anyways I grew up the quiet reserved teenager who wore the same jacket everyday to school even though I changed my clothing underneath. But the same jacket over top of my clothes. I became that pathetic girl that no one notices in the corner. The one that people make fun of because of her hair… Come on… I know you’ve done it! Made fun of the quiet weird girl. I say it because when I got older I did it to the other weird quiet girls. I know sad that you make fun of the ones that still look weird. Well finally the little girl graduates high school. I took a boy that didn’t even want to go with me to the prom. I kinda wished I stayed home that night. I spent money I didn’t have and never once did I dance. What’s the point of going if you don’t dance? Well after that I spent two years working and not once saving money to go to college.

Now to add to this confusion of my sexual preference (this might get a little dark for some but please bare with me) when I was a little girl I was sexual molested. Now many here will say “OH GOT IT! THAT’S WHY she likes women…” Then this is where the big piano will fall on your head for being stupid! Sure I can say that it might have had some kind of affect but the only affect it had with me was to think that this is what men do and that I need to marry a man that will not do that. Sure I have insecurities with men. But ladies and gentlemen tell me what woman does not have insecurities with men? I believe a lot of insecurities with men come from their father growing up. And I know that my father wasn’t a great father but he tried I believe he did, to do his best. My parents came to this country as many say as “wet backs”. They had to work hard to become citizens and get rights here in the United States. I am proud that they were able to achieve that! But because of all the setbacks that they had, the limitations, the lack of help, they had to by pass many things for their daughters to survive. Remember those kids that you would see go home and there were no parents home. That would be us. We would have some random adult living in our house that would not be near us but from a far take care of us. Otherwise we were left alone most of the time.

ANY WHO… Insecurities with men… I have a lot of guy friends now. They all love me and believe me to be a great friend. I am a very good confidant. I love to listen to them because they just need a friend. I believe I can trust them all with many things. But like friends you will not reveal everything to I do the same with my guy friends. I do believe some to be very handsome but I am not in any way attracted to them. I don’t dream of marrying them and having hot sex with these men. As a matter of fact I can’t seem to realize when their is a very handsome man in my presence. Not until another woman realizes their hotness then I look over and I see what the fuss is and see them as somewhat “doable”. I just can’t seem to find myself wanting men. But when I see an older woman so sex-sally walk in my presence my heart jumps and I get like a giddy little girl.

I remember I had a crush on a trainer at a job I used to have. Her name was Michelle. I didn’t believe her to be extremely beautiful but her personally won me over! I would get butterflies whenever she was near. Yet I disregarded those emotions. As I did with any emotion that I had with women. I even had a problem being TOO touchy felly with women because I was afraid that my touching would go too far.

DAMN! ALL THE SIGNS WERE THERE! I only just recently, this past June, decided I would allow myself to be loved and love women. Ok this has been a long post. Not expecting it to be… and it kinda was ALL over the place. But here’s something to keep you wanting until next time! See ya lovies!

Marx’s book cover portrait makes him look like a bemused, yet stoic, Pillsbury Doughboy. He even has his right hand tucked under the lapel of his suit jacket, as if he were poking himself in the navel.

20th anniversary of the Fall of The Wall in Berlin. Now, I wish I had gone. Instead of visiting Texas in April, I should’ve gone to visit my family in NY.

I’m no communist. I just like saying ‘Commie’.

I didn’t run the past two days but I got up and went this morning. It was raining. Hard. And it was dark. And I was sleepy. Did I want to go? Not really, but I did anyway.

It was pouring. Just dumping, really. And, it being late November, it was dark at 5:30. And the clouds made it darker. I dressed, slowly, and stood on the porch.

I did that for a few minutes, stood there that is. I watched the rain drip off the eave through the beam of my headlamp. I was going to get mighty wet. And then I stepped onto the gravel and off I went.

It was chilly, as you can imagine. Not what I would call cold, but nothing warm about it. I was still sleepy, eyes half shut as I navigated the puddles in the driveway.

I was thinking I might go five or six miles. I only went four. I was chilled, I tell you. It was a decent run. I was home before I knew it. I had to pay so much attention to my feet that I hardly noticed where I was. Plus, it got foggy. I couldn’t see more than a ten feet in front of me.

I was soaked by the time I got home. Dripping. I was thinking that what I wanted at that moment was to a warm cup of coffee and a warm fire. But that wasn’t happening. I could make some coffee and start a fire, but by then it wouldn’t have the same effect. So I took a warm shower and got ready to head to work.

Tomorrow maybe eleven miles? It should be cloudy but not raining like this morning. We’ll see. This is a somewhat easy week anyway. But I would like to go fairly long. I’ll see what happens when I wake up. I can decide then.

Window blinds are one of the different types of window treatments out there. There are so many thing

Window blinds are one of the different types of window treatments out there. There are so many things besides them to choose from. People choose window blinds usually for their simplicity. They are also used on large windows instead of small ones. If you have a small window to decorate then the best choice would be a window curtain. You can never go wrong with that. If you want to get fancy with large windows then you can also use window curtains, but they need much more care then any other kind of window treatments because they are made of delicate fabric, they also need to be washed every once in a while unlike window blinds or window shutters.

Window shutters are perfect for people who want something just a little decorative and at the same time convenient. They are convenient because they are easily installed and they do not need much human care. If you ever want to clean them you most definetaly won’t have to hand wash them or put them in a washing machine, no, you will have to get a damp piece of cloth and just wipe the surface of each slat. Try not to use something too wet because then you will have to dry them after that. The thing that can make them seem dirty is dust. You can wipe that off any time and it will come off easily because the slats are usually made of metal.

Early post today guys, yay! I’m going to continue from my last post on my cuckolding experienc

Early post today guys, yay! I’m going to continue from my last post on my cuckolding experience that told the story how I fell in love with my teacher.

So things were getting more serious between me and my teacher, with the “L” word now brought into the picture. I had just moved into a house with my cuck, but spent a lot of time visiting and staying with my teacher, he house-sitted for people so it was often in a variety of places. It was fun travelling to the houses he was looking after and having sex in someone elses house.

Over time he treated me to things my cuck hadn’t in years, it was great to be spoiled and made me appreciate my cuck less. Teacher would buy me jewellery and lingerie, which I would come home and wear to show off to my cuck how much I loved what teacher bought me. He would always get a hard cock thinking about the fact that I got it by having sex with another man, let alone that it was with my teacher which added to the excitement, hiding it from everyone.

Often teacher would have business trips in which his accommodation would be paid for, he would take me with him and we stayed at numerous expensive hotels and hotel-apartments. I remember one time I was staying at a hotel(before I had a house) and teacher came over on the way to teach a class and fucked my tight wet pussy hard and fast, pounding me up against the wall. It made me cum so hard, I love a forceful guy who dominates me for his pleasure, it’s such a turn on to feel like a slut sometimes.

The university lounge in the students common room area was also fun to have sex on. I visited teacher at university when the student common area was closed and things got heated. We kissed passionately as we sat on the lounge, I straddled his lap and hitched up my skirt. I wore a short skirt, they are great if you plan to fuck in public places because you get fast and easy access. I buttoned down his pants and pulled his hard cock out of his boxers, pumping it with my hand while playing with my clit with my other hand, his hands busy fondling my breasts. When I was wet enough I slid down onto his cock, taking it into my tight wet pussy and fucked him hard, then he flipped me onto the table in front of us and held me down while he fucked me on it and cummed in my pussy. It was a rush to see people walking past the windows outside while we were having wild sex inside.

CuckyD asked how did my cuckold feel about all this happening? Well, he had told me he wanted to be a cuckold and tried to persuade me into the lifestyle for ages, but I kept refusing because I did not like the idea. Then I decided when the opportunity came up I would just see where things go, with no expecations, that’s still what I’m aiming for. I’m not looking to actively search for bulls, but am open to meeting men and allowing myself to see where things go should opportunities arise. So my cuck was more in favour of letting things happen between us.

Things get even more cuckolding and more exciting next time in the story. Next post, some pictures from my adult nude glamour shoot.
