Visiting forts are one of the best things i would choose if one asks me for options. So here we had planned a trip to Fort Lohgad. The imposing structure even today. The historical fort is in good conditions even today. Apart from the loot of historical remnants made by the locals and the recklessness of visitors, the fort is still as strong as it was some 600 years before.

We caught the first train to Pune on a sunday morning and alighted at Lonavla. From Lonavla we caught a local train and got down at Malavli station which comes within 10-15 minutes. From Malavli it was a trek of 10 kms to reach the fort. A must visit fort for one and all. Fort Lohgad’s beauty just cannot be explained my mortals like me.
