*note: I am doing this at 12:30 am on Saturday, so I will skip the goalies, because I have work star

*note: I am doing this at 12:30 am on Saturday, so I will skip the goalies, because I have work starting at 8…and as most of you know it is rivalry week, and I am in charge of running Clemson vs. South Carolina (go Tigers…whip up some fried chicken), by the time I get home, it will be almost game time*

AT

Minnesota Wild (9-12-3, 21 pts) @ Colorado Avalanche (14-8-4, 32 points)

Season Series

10/21/09 3 2 Shootout

11/27/09 5 3

What’s the Big Deal?

This is the Colorado end of a home and home series with the Wild. The home team has won every game of this series (both games were in MN.). The Wild have struggled this season, with injuries and (before yesterday) an inability to score, seeming to be the problem.

Meanwhile, the Avs have seem to outrightly quit on the season. Is it overconfidence? Is it just being snake bit? Are people just not buying into Sacco’s teaching? Who knows, but the point is, Colorado has pretty much quit in the 3rd.

Avs’ Keys to Victory

Defense, Defense, Defense

This was lacking completely in yesterday’s game

Grow a Pair

Do I need to say more?

Break it Down

The Wild have had the Avs’ number this year, but they are gawd awful on the road. Colorado is going to want payback for yesterday, I’m sure.

Infamous Prediction

3 2

I wish to meet them.

I wish i could be their best friend.

I wish I can hang out with them.

I wish i could speak Hangul.

I wish i could go to Korea.

I wish i have their email add.

I wish i have their phone number.

I want to collect their albums.

I want to update their activities.

I want to go to their concert.

I want to be with them in the back stage.

I want to talk to them.

I want to go dinner with them.

all of things… especially with Leeteuk.

People said that I’m dreaming. They told me to WAKE up. They told me to live in reality. They told me to find a real man. They told me that’s the cause I’m still single now. They told me bla..bla..bla…

I think I have to make it clear now.

First, I am not dreaming.

I am still in this reality called earth. If not, who do you think the person writes this blog? I am not in desperation condition (except desperate to fulfill my dreams up there, hehehe).

Second, I know there are too many barriers between us.

Oh, come on, i still have my mind, He is a Korean and I am an Indonesian… he is an artist, I am a fan-girl. So far away a part. I will not broken my heart if he is in relationship (well, maybe a little.. ^_^”). I still want a guy that i can touch skin to skin. not skin to paper or monitor (T.T)

Third, I really really like them very much.

They can say i am childish, obsession to suju, my time has already pass, etc. but i admit it that i like them. they are the survivor of me in the dark time. they’re brighten my life.

This is my life, i want to fill it with colors that i like. so, just let me dream sometimes. thank you for worrying me, but i am okay.

This year will go down in J history as worst year ever. Conversely, it will also go down as most amazing year ever.

Every experience, every moment, every tear, every smile, every thought of desperation and hopelessness- I am eternally grateful. I can sit here in my white trashesk decorated apartment and smile, laugh even, at how God awful this year has been and appreciate EVERYTHING I’ve gained-the friends, the thicker skin, the love, the hope, the excitement.

I have my health. My dogs. My family. My friends. A roof over my head. Food (small amount, but that’s better than nothing) in the pantry-there is SO much to be thankful for and NONE of it would have been possible (happiness included) if this year had not kicked my ass with every ounce of strength it could muster up.

I’m thankful for my freedom. My wild side. The fighter in me. My new found peace.

Thankful for life and every single experience and emotion I’ve felt.

Peace.

So yes, my long suffering fans… I have returned, perhaps 5 kilograms heavier than when I left, with an immeasurable desire for ostrich biltong, and a nice tan.

The holiday to South Africa rocked. We got to do some familial bonding time, and a fair amount of time got spent with the friends. Mr & Mrs B… many thanks for the awesome trip to Knysna and back… much obliged. Now come and visit us so we can return the favour. Wooz and SPF… it was great to be able to spend so much time with you guys… thanks for taking the leave and making it all possible.
So. This Blog has been built up by three weeks absence, and is bound to be a little longer than normal. As usual, if you want to skip the personal stuff, jump ahead to the line of asterisks at the end of this piece.

South Africa. Well well. It was an absolutely awesome trip. One of my favourite things to do in the whole world is to get a car that I like driving and then to take a long road trip. And the wife and I got to do just that with her family. The four of us piled into their car and drove off on what worked out to be an insanely expensive, but very enjoyable experience. And my god did we shop. Everything from Chutney to Cuckoo Clocks went into that car.

Let’s see, first stop was the Willows in Port Elizabeth. This was a classic little caravan/chalet place, and we got a two-bedroomed chalet for the four of us. Very comfortable, very clean and so close to the sea that even my youngest students could throw a stone into the water from the living room. We were there for two nights… and used the time soaking up some much-needed shopping. And thus began my fixation with finding the perfect pie on the holiday. See… the wife and I recently stopped being vegetarian and started eating seafood. Well… poultry has been added to the pile of edibles now… meaning that Chicken was back on the menu. (For the record, we still don’t eat mammals…. which means that yes, TURKEY is back on the menu for Christmas.) With chicken scratching at the doormat, I started in on Chicken Pies.

Woolworths to the rescue. AWESOME chicken and mushroom pie. Try it. Very good.

An aside – If it feels as if all the wife and I did on this holiday was sleep and eat, well… we feel that way too. It was a great holiday.

After PE, we drove on to Sedgefield…. chosen because it was nice and close to Knysna, which was where our friends Stompie and Jax were getting married. Yes… we did it all on this trip, weddings included. The place in Sedgefield was fantastic, the view was simply unbeatable.

Stompie and Jax threw themselves a Euro-funded Afro-ethnic wedding. And it was really a great evening. Good to be able to catch up with them again, as we hadn’t seen them since leaving Ireland. The wedding itself was out-standing and if their friends are anything to go by, they’ll be blessed in the future.

After the wedding it was a case of doing some family time in and around Knysna and George. We took in the sights of Hoekwil and Wilderness, the former very rustic, the latter full of sea spray.
Much seafood was eaten. Much chicken was eaten.

One of the highlights for the wife and I of the Sedgefield trip was a visit to the Wild Oats Farmer’s market… where local farmers sold their wares. (Mainly foodstuffs, but some raw produce too.) We got to soak up a little culture…

It was here that I found the undisputed BEST chicken pie in South Africa. The Steam Whistle Stop Pie company, operating out of god-knows where, but with a stand at the market.

After Sedgefield, there remained only the trip back to East London, which took much longer than expected. This is because of a little known family problem. Fact: If you place two women with disposable income in the back seat of a car, they will hatch plans to visit as many farm stalls as possible on the way back home. This is in a misguided effort to fill the car with very fattening farm foodstuffs and home produce. Thus, some 600 kilometres, 23 pieces of fudge, a half-dozen bottles of chutney, three full wheels of cheese, and 39 farm stalls later….. the entire Western Cape was denuded of produce, the car was groaning on its springs and we got home. To a huge dinner cooked by my sister in law.

The rest of the trip was spent with friends and family. I got to get in a fair amount of roleplaying with Wooz and the bunch, and even GMed a demo session for Jebb and his bunch. An obnoxiously large amount of time was spent virtually supine on Wooz’ patio drinking coffee… which is the perfect way to conduct oneself on holiday. Besides, the view from there isn’t half bad either.

Three weeks flew by with absolutely no regard for how much it cost us to get there, or indeed just how long 14 hours in economy class feels. (Particularly when you are bloated on fudge and chicken pies.)
There were tears, there were hugs and then we were gone.

To everyone who made the effort, thanks a hell of a lot guys, it was a vastly enjoyable experience.

************

And let’s get on with the jokes and stuff shall we?

The Truth About College:

College is a bunch of rooms where you sit for 2,000 hours or so and
try to memorize things. The 2,000 hours are spread out over four
years. You spend the rest of the time sleeping, partying, and trying to
get dates.

Basically, you learn two kinds of things in college:

    1. Things you will need to know in later life (two hours). 2. Things you
will not need to know in later life (1,998 hours).

The latter are the things you learn in classes whose names end in
-ology, -osophy, -istry, -ics, and so on. The idea is you memorize
these things, then write them down in little exam books, then forget
them. If you fail to forget them, you become a professor and have to stay
in college for the rest of your life.

After you’ve been in college for a year or so, you’re supposed to
choose a major, which is the subject you intend to memorize and
forget the most things about. Here is a very important piece of
advice: Be sure to choose a major that does not involve Known Facts
and Right Answers. This means you must not major in mathematics,
physics, biology, chemistry, or geology because these subjects
involve actual facts.

If, for example, you major in mathematics, you’re going to wander
into class one day and the professor will say: “Define the cosine
integer of the quadrant of a rhomboid binary axis, and extrapolate
your result to five significant vertices.” If you don’t come up with
exactly the answer the professor has in mind, you fail.

The same is true of chemistry: If you write in your exam book that
carbon and hydrogen combine to form oak, your professor will flunk
you. He wants you to come up with the same answer he and all the
other chemists have agreed on. Scientists are extremely snotty about
this.

So you should major in subjects like English, philosophy, psychology, and
sociology – subjects in which nobody really understands what anybody else
is talking about, and which involve virtually no actual facts.

I attended classes in all these subjects, so I’ll give you a quick
overview of each:

ENGLISH: This involves writing papers about long books you have read
little snippets of just before class. Here is a tip on how to get good
grades on your English papers: Never say anything about a book that
anybody with any common sense would say. For example, suppose you are
studying Moby Dick. Anybody with any common sense would say Moby Dick is
a big white whale, since the characters in the book refer to it as a big
white whale roughly 11,000 times. So in your paper, you say Moby Dick is
actually the Republic of Ireland. Your professor, who is sick to death of
reading papers and never liked Moby Dick anyway, will think you are
enormously creative. If you can regularly come up with lunatic
interpretations of simple stories, you should major in English.

PHILOSOPHY: Basically, this involves sitting in a room and deciding
there is no such thing as reality and then going to lunch. You should
major in philosophy if you plan to take a lot of drugs.

PSYCHOLOGY: This involves talking about rats and dreams.
Psychologists are obsessed with rats and dreams. I once spent an
entire semester training a rat to punch little buttons in a certain
sequence, then training my roommate to do the same thing. The rat
learned much faster. My roommate is now a doctor. If you like rats or
dreams, and above all if you dream about rats, you should major in
psychology.

SOCIOLOGY: For sheer lack of intelligibility, sociology is far and
away the number one subject. I sat through hundreds of hours of
sociology courses, and read gobs of sociology writing, and I never
once heard or read a coherent statement. This is because sociologists
want to be considered scientists, so they spend most of their time
translating simple, obvious observations into scientific-sounding code.
If you plan to major in sociology, you’ll have to learn to do the same
thing. For example, suppose you have observed that children cry when they
fall down. You should write: “Methodological observation of the
sociometrical behavior tendencies of prematurated isolates indicates that
a causal relationship exists between groundward tropism and lachrimatory
behavior forms.” If you can keep this up for 50 or 60 pages, you will get
a large government grant.

This weeks musical talent comes to you from the talented Ms. Nina Simone. This one is called Strange Fruit. And if it is depressing, well, it is meant to be. Give yourself a search for the lyrics. Sometimes, I am sad to be a human.

And that is that.. .. if there appears to be a lack of linkage in this blog, sorry… but 3 weeks without internet means that I didn’t find as many interesting things. Next time. K?

Ciao
Yeti out.

(AP Photo/Tom Olmscheid)

Tuukka Rask made his fifth straight start, and perhaps has not looked better over the stretch than he did tonight. Rask stopped 28 pucks and made several game-savers in the Bruins 2-1 shootout victory over the Minnesota Wild.

The Bruins went 4-0 on their four-game road trip, turning things around with the arrivals of Lucic, Savard, and even Bitz.

Byron Bitz scored the Bruins lone-goal while Andrew Ebbett scored for the Wild. The Bruins were penalized six times, giving up their goal against while down a man. The Bruins also went 0-4 on the power-play and lacked momentum throughout but stole two points from Minnesota.

The first goal of the game came just under seven minutes into the game when Marc Savard won a faceoff clean and played it back to Derek Morris. Morris then took a hard, low shot towards the net and Bitz was able to tip the puck home from the doorstep. The unfolded about as smoothly as you could draw it up with Savard winning the faceoff and playing it off the boards to Morris who unleashed the one-timer slap shot shin-high square on the goal. Bitz positioned himself right in front of Backstrom and found a seam between the Minnesota defense.

The Wild’s power-play was somewhat two-faced, looking dangerous on one power-play and horrendous on the other. Nevertheless, Minnesota’s power-play chances created considerable momentum and their 11 first period shots prove it. The Wild actually had more shots in their first two power-play chances (3) than the Bruins had in the entire period (2). Old friend Chuck Kobasew led with four shots. Boston did a good job of keeping the shots on the outside and limited the Wild to three scoring chances, as Rask was minimally challenged in the first.

The second period was more of the same for the Bruins. They mounted only five shots (seven through two periods) and were penalized twice, yielding the game-tying goal when Andrew Ebbett scored on the power-play.

The Wild got on the board on their fourth power-play opportunity when Ebbett tipped a shot-pass home from the slot. Kyle Brodziak faked a shot from the circle and made a hard ice level pass to Ebbett who tipped the puck on net. Rask bit on the Brodziak fake and couldn’t get back in position in time to stop Ebbett’s bid.

The Bruins penalties were not particularly smart ones, none seemed to come with their goaltender at risk, and a too many men penalty, always inexcusable, led to the Ebbett goal.

Rask continued to keep the Bruins in the game throughout the second. Although Minnesota only put seven shots on Tuukka, he was forced to make a few very athletic saves. One of Rask’s better saves was off a faceoff, similar to Bitz’s goal, where he saved a rocket from the point with a flashy glove save in splitsville. He also made a big save at the end of the period on a 3-on-2 Wild chance. Rask saved the first shot with ease but wilted a juicy rebound, Rask dove to his left, stacking the pads, and smothered the bid from ten feet out.

The Bruins matched their shot output from the first two periods in the third. Normally that would make for a monster outbreak, but the Bruins netted only 14 shots through 60 minutes. Neither team scored in the final period despite a Bruins power-play and a few great scoring chances.

Rask proved to be the difference between 0 and 1 point when he robbed Cal Clutterbuck from the slot. Clutterbuck found the puck on his stick, and the crowd rose, clearly seeing the enormity of the moment, and Rask made a glove save while in the split, robbing him top corner.

Milan Lucic got hurt with five minutes left in regulation and went down the tunnel with trainers acting as crutches. Lucic got surprised by a Wild player who was behind him, and while trying to play the puck was up-ended. His skate pegged into the ice and he went down backwards, twisting his knee awkwardly.

With 1:41 left in the game, Brodziak was called for cross-checking, giving the Bruins an opportunity to win the game in the waning minutes. The Bruins had a great chance when they charged up the ice with less than 10 seconds left in regulation. A pass from the left side by Krejci to Bergeron, back to Krejci and finally to Recchi, left Recchi with a golden chance to seal the game but he couldn’t get wood on the puck and the puck dribbled past the post to end regulation.

Rask made five saves in overtime, and 28 saves through 65 minutes while the Bruins mounted just 16 shots in the same amount of time. Rask’s five saves in overtime were almost all spectacular.

Wideman put the Bruins on the edge of defeat when he was called for cross-checking with 1:48 left in overtime. The penalty was a double minor, but was irrelevant because there was less than two minutes left in overtime. The Wild used the open space from the 4-on-3 power-play to their advantage, creeping close to Rask and taking hard shots from close. Rask retreated back in his crease but was able to make some key saves in doing so. Despite some scary moments, and thanks to some lucky bounces, the Bruins were able to extend the game to a shootout.

The Bruins shot first and Bergeron deked Backstrom back into his net and bet him far-side.

Koivu sprinted up the ice and snapped a wrist shot stick side, beating Rask clean and easy.

Wheeler did his trademark set of dekes, went forehand, but couldn’t beat Backstrom to the post.

Zidlicky deked a bit, faked a shot, and went glove-side but Rask made the save.

Savard went wide right and curled back in but was stopped on the quick wrister rather easily.

Belanger snapped a wrist shot at Rask, Rask stopped it enough with his blocker to extend the contest.

Krejci deked Backstrom out of his jock, went backhand, and roofed the puck over the hapless goaltender.

Kobasew went for a wrist shot but Rask stopped the puck with the pad. The puck never really left the ice, and the save was anti-climatic to say the least.

Three Stars

Tuukka Rask (29 saves)

Byron Bitz (1 goal, +1)

Derek Morris (1 assist 24:03)

Notes

Clearly, the major concern is Lucic’s injury. He was injured with five minutes left in regulation and struggled to limp off the ice. He was helped down the tunnel by trainers and did not return to the game. Would hate to lose a guy so important, especially only a handful of games since he came back from injury.

Where was the Bruins offense? Was it the Minny system that prevented the offense to get to the net? the penalties? a cold night? I don’t know but 16 shots in 65 minutes is inexcusable. But hey, I’ll take the two points even if they look ugly.

Tuukka, Tuukka, Tuukka. Is there a legitimate goaltender controversy in Boston? Should there be?

Stupid penalties don’t doom Bruins (thanks Tuukka) but are a reason for big concerns as of late. Boatloads of stupid penalties in the last week or so.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. I might have a post up tomorrow depending on if I go out or not.

Forty-eight relics from the Nguyen Dynasty era donated by private collectors to the Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum are on display at the former royal capital’s An Dinh Palace. The Hue Royal Fine Arts Museum, run by the Hue Historical Relic Preservation Centre, houses a large collection of relics from the time of Vietnam’s last imperial dynasty, which ruled from 1820 to 1945.
The objects on show at the exhibition, organised by the museum, are mostly made of silver, brass, precious stones, porcelain, silk, wood and paper.

Among them are a pair of ivory tusks donated by a Vietnamese expatriate living in France, a tea set gifted by Doan Phuoc Thuan, a collector in the central coastal province of Phu Yen, and a collection of King Minh Mang’s poems written on paper donated by Frenchman Andre de Crozet.

A set of three life-size brass statues of Jesus’s mother Mary, donated by a Hue-based company, is among the most valuable relics on show.

At the time of the exhibition’s opening, Nguyen Huu Hoang donated a porcelain basin and plate, Le Gia donated a land register, and a group of collectors presented a pair of vermilion-lacquered gilded wood panels.

What the hell is a Wild anyway? The Bruins (11-8-4) will continue their road trip in Minnesota (8-12

What the hell is a Wild anyway?

The Bruins (11-8-4) will continue their road trip in Minnesota (8-12-2) tonight when they face off against old friends Chuck Kobasew and Shane Hnidy. The Bruins are riding a three-game winning streak, none more impressive than the last. The Bruins beat St. Louis 4-2 in Marc Savard’s return and scored two power-play goals, an even strength goal, and solidified the win with a short-handed goal. Patrice Bergeron assisted on all four goals.

The B’s seem to be turning things around since the return of Milan Lucic and Marc Savard. Although Savard looked rusty in his return in St. Louis, his presence, along with Lucic’s, have provided an emotional lift to the squad as a whole. Lucic has helped the offense himself, scoring two goals in three games since his return. Expect Savard to start adding assists once he gets his legs under him.

The Wild snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Islanders Friday. Minnesota’s struggles can be attributed to their goalie, Niklas Backstrom. Backstrom’s struggles could be a result of Jacques Lemaire’s leaving. Backstrom appeared to be a franchise goaltender in his first three seasons under Lemaire, never yielding more than 2.33 GAA in a season while always posting over a .920 save % and adding 17 shutouts. This year Backstrom has struggled to a 8-9-0-2 record with 2.66 GAA and .909 save %.

Minnesota, a perpetually low scoring team, averages just 2.37 goals per game, more surprisingly, the Bruins average less than that with 2.29 goals per game. The difference in team records and fortunes comes with goals against. The Bruins are currently fourth in the league, allowing 2.34 goals per game while Minnesota allows 2.96 goals per game, good for 26th in the league.

Minnesota has given the Bruins fits in the past. The Bruins have won once in the last nine games against the Wild and have been outscored 29-13 in nine games against the Wild since they joined the NHL.

The starting goalies appear to be Tuukka Rask and Niklas Backstrom. The Wild have been off for almost a week, so all signs point to putting the No. 1 goalie on. Meanwhile, Thomas is still listed as day-to-day with an undisclosed injury so it looks like Tuukka will be between the pipes for his fifth straight start.

Injuries

Besides Thomas’ minor injury, the Bruins are finally healthy.

The Wild:

LW Chuck Kobasew has missed four games with an upper-body injury but is expected to return tonight.

RW Benoit Pouliot is on IR with a hand injury.

F Pierre-Marc Bouchard is out indefinitely with a concussion he sustained on October 3.

LW Petr Sykora is on IR with a concussion.

Expectations

History points to a low-scoring affair tonight, but recent Bruins games point to a an outbreak in offense. Expect the defensive systems to dictate the pace, and scoring, of the game. If both teams utilize neutral zone defense the offenses will struggle to keep possession.

Expect Lucic to continue to make strides and be a force on the forecheck.

Expect Tuukka to be Tuukka, no bad goals, a few athletic saves.

Expect Savard to improve a little bit over last game. His impact is more likely to come on the power-play than 5-on-5 until he gets his legs in shape.

Mikko Koivu is Minny’s Marc Savard, stop him and you stop the first line, you stop the first line and you win.

The tour of the Artitude exhibition at the Waterfront Hall was rather short… lets just say I was a bit disappointed. It mostly consisted of tattoo artists I assume. There are some artist there with work thats not in the style of a tattoo artist which really caught my interested, so it was phone out of my pocket to make a quick note of the names of the artists. One artist that cought my eye the most was one with an alias called Friz. His/her characters are very cartoon/comic style and very much like Joe Ledbetter style. Well worth looking into some of these artists especially Friz for me off course!

Work by Friz

This return to the Ulster Museum with all cameras charged and ready to shoot did produce some interesting results and some not so interesting. I did miss the mummy section which I wanted to get a few photos off but due to restricted time it will be saved for another rainy day.

urban vs. rural spaces”]Making a film that touches on food production, sustainability, the “green” trend, changing landscapes, suburban expansion, and the disappearance of the family farm, I’ve been looking around a lot at juxtapositions of urban vs. rural spaces.

An event in toronto that happened, detailed in a thestar.com article today, was a great example of this juxtaposition. A wild deer (assumed wild) was found in downtown Toronto, before sedated and taken away. An idea of a wild animal roaming the streets of Toronto is a strange image to have in my head, and the same must have been for the people that experienced it first-hand in the city’s core.

Authorities aren’t sure where the deer came from specifically but regardless it managed to permeate the city borders and for a few moments the urban and rural came together. Now, there are zoos and petting farms within the city, but those animals are contained. The wild deer is like a foreign object–it doesn’t belong in the city, and as soon as it got it, great effort was taken to remove it.

I think it speaks greatly to how easily urban spaces permeate the rural borders and take it over without much opposition (or if there is, ultimately housing and serving the growing population is the priority and wins out), while the reverse requires much more effort. Well, one day perhaps the wild will take over again.

During this session, we discussed the need for the patient to spend time within the wilderness. He is an avid hiker. As a nature adventurer, he recalls many stories that appear both natural and supernatural to us.

” I remember one particular moment within nature. I was in my canoe. During the entire day I had been travelling using my canoe against a very large, reckless and merciless river. Sometimes it was so hard to go through it that I would get out of my canoe, walking on the rocks that were standing out of the water, trying to move my boat using all the strengths that I had. Sometimes I would unload the canoe on the shore and walk on the borders of the lake in order to skip a very difficult part of the river. It was extremely hard physically. I wanted to go to a lake that my grandfather’s old friend had told me about. He showed me an old map of the area. He pointed a large, long lake shaped like the tail of a fox.

” If you get there, Rusty… Kid… You will find yourself. You will know who you are. ” he said.

I knew something was up, heh. That old indian never told us about his secret places. I thought he was joking and that map was fake. I had never heard about this lake and it seemed so large that I couldn’t believe no one had told me about it until then.

When I finally arrived at the lake, I searched for something. I did not know what it was exactly, but since I was told I would find myself, I was expecting something very special. Maybe something belonging to his old, almost forgotten tribe? Or maybe it was just some prank? Still, the lake was there… He wasn’t lying about that part…

I spent about forty-five minutes canoeing on the fox’s tail. After going to the limits of the lake, I turned around and prepared to go home. Then it struck me. When I came back, I saw it. I saw everything. The sun was setting and the lake was reflecting a golden honey light. The trees were green, strong, tall, massive. The water was completely calm. A mirror. That’s when I realized what he meant. That old indian was wiser than I had thought. He knew it would take me a complete day to get there. He knew I would go to the edge of the lake. He knew I would come back. He knew that when I would turn around, the time would be right for a sunset. And he knew, just like I knew at that moment, that you find yourself by turning around, going back to where you’ve been. I found myself. I found out that I was strong. Strong in my arms, yes, but also strong in my will to go to the end of things. I worked hard to get there. The river had been against me. This time, as I would go back, I would flow with it.

For I knew who I was. ”
