Not really but he played my baby in high school. This picture was taken backstage when we were in a one-act together where I was a Manhattan mom who pushed her kid in a stroller through Central Park. Every day I am reminded of Will and this play because I walk Princess A in Central Park every day. I love the hat Will is wearing in this picture!

Princess A hadn’t seen her Godfathers since she was three months old so it took her awhile to get used to them.Princess A warmed up to Jackson once he let her chew on his phone.Will taught Princess A to DJ!Ben played a song for Princess A…And then took us hiking!

We had so much fun hanging out with them in LA. I can’t wait to share more pictures. I really want 1,000 twitter followers so once I get that I will show you more pictures of the trip!

These 2 restaurants are next to Shakespeare and Company and very close to our hotel. I don’t know if they are the same place or different restaurants but they were connected inside. We ate at this place over ten times on our trip to Paris. They had great breakfast, lunch, dinner…And sparklers in their drinks. This brought out the kid in me. I made The Husband go almost every night so I could have a drink with a sparkler in it!We took Will and Lani to eat there for their last night in Paris!I ordered a giant drink that had a champagne glass inside of it!Everyone else ordered shots that caught on fire. Everything was so delightful!!!!Here’s another picture of my drink.Here I am drinking the whole thing by myself… don’t judge I’m Irish.Here I am after finishing the whole drink. The Husband took all these pictures because I was too drunk to function!For dinner I had this fabulous French dish with hard-boiled eggs and cheese. I forgot the name of it but the waiter said it was very traditional and French. Whatever it was it was yummy! If you know the name of this dish please let me know!Here’s The Husband and I before I drank the giant drink that was the size of my head!For dessert I ordered the creme brulee and the waiter put a sparkler in it especially for me! It was so much fun eating and drinking too much with The Husband and friends. It made me very thankful for having in-laws that will watch Princess A for a week so that I can go get drunk in Paris!

The Eiffel Tower... Kind Of

The 100 Monkeys had 2 days off from their European tour in Paris. I wanted them to sight see with us but they mostly rested because they were so tired. I did convince them to go to the Eiffel Tower with us though. Unfortunately, this is as close as we got to the Eiffel Tower. It was raining and very windy so they closed the tower down. We were very disappointed! Especially because we got wet walking in the rain for nothing.So we went to a restaurant to dry off and eat. This is Jackson scolding me for dragging them to the Eiffel Tower for nothing. Jerad and Ben still can’t believe how wet they got.Will and Lani just chilled and enjoyed the good company… they got to see the Eiffel Tower with us the next day.Once Jackson got his big beer he forgave me and was happy. We feasted on croques with fried eggs on top… I think they are called croque madame but I may be wrong and am probably spelling croque wrong. Anyway, it’s a yummy French dish with bread that has ham and melted cheese on top.The Husband got a giant beer too! Dear Eiffel Tower, you may have won today but eventually I will get to the top of you so I can look at the beautiful Paris skyline!

HELP A TEACHER

I met Jackson Rathbone, Will Schmidt, Ben Graupner, and Ben Johnson at Interlochen Arts Academy. I had a very mixed experience at Interlochen. I met some of my best friends there but also had some of my worst experiences as a student there. Some of the teachers were awesome and some were just plain mean. Larry Reiman was only there for my senior year and I didn’t get along with him at first but in the end he showed his true colors to me and he turned out to be one of the awesome teachers.

I went to Interlochen for three years and while it is a high school it was very competitive. I was a theater major and spent all my time in the costume shop and was never cast in a play. You would think that since it was high school they could let each student have at least one role but nope not at Interlochen. I felt like the ugly duckling of the theater department and it got even worse when my favorite teacher was fired my junior year. Interlochen has a bad habit of firing the teachers that actually connect with students.

When Larry started teaching my senior year I thought he was just like the other teachers. He never cast me in his plays and didn’t let me direct a senior one act even though I had taken the directing course… which was the only requirement. The last week of my senior year he came up to me and said he wanted to talk. He apologized for not letting me direct a one act and said he was wrong for never casting me. Larry told me he thought I was really talented, hoped I had a good time at New York University, and that he thought I would be succesful at whatever I was passionate about.

Larry Reiman had nothing to gain from apologizing to me. I was a student graduating and we haven’t seen each other since. But he apologized anyway which taught me a big lesson about life. Which is that you should do the right thing even when there is nothing in it for you.

Now Interlochen Arts Academy is firing Larry Reiman for no reason. So in honor of this lesson I signed a petition for him to help keep his job. I know none of you know Larry personally but if you have time please sign the petition as well and forward this to your friends. You won’t gain anything from it but you would be helping someone who influenced myself, Jackson, Ben, and Ben. And more importantly you would be helping someone in need and doing the right thing.

MONKEYS IN A PARIS SUBWAY

The subway in Paris is so much more glamorous than the subway in New York. It is filled with beautiful art.There are also tons of stairs!!! It reminded me of the book that came out a while ago called “French Women Don’t get Fat”. I now know why French women don’t get fat… it’s because their subways have tons of stairs and it’s impossible to get cabs.I was also able to stand in the subway without holding onto anything which is very different from New York.My favorite subway ride was when Ben snuck a bottle of wine on the train and became our bartender.I love wine but it is even better when enjoyed in a Parisian subway with good friends!The wine got me a little tipsy and we got lost on our way to the Eiffel Tower.Oh well, we eventually got there and sometimes it’s too hard to be glamorous and a navigator.

100 MONKEYS PARIS SET LIST

We are still recovering from our Paris trip. It was such an amazing vacation. It was great to see old friends and walk around my second favorite city in the world. I was inspired with every step I took. I am still editing pictures but I wanted to give the 100 Monkeys fans something fun while I am working on future posts. PRINCESS A'S OUTFIT OF THE DAY

This outfit of the day is dedicated to my daughter’s three Godfather’s. She has three because she is so beautiful she needs extra protection.

This is Amelia and her godfather Ben when she was only 8 weeks old. Ben Graupner has been my friend for over ten years. In high school, he accidently threw a snow ball at me and then got me an apology card with a pink poodle. That’s when I knew we would be friends for life. He is in a band called the 100 Monkeys and just started a new band called Mechanical People. He is also a talented actor and very good at taking care of people when they are drunk… not that I would know anything about that.

This is Amelia with her Godfather J. Jackson Rathbone is also in the band 100 Monkeys and is an actor. He’s done a ton of movies but if you want to know about that google him. We also met in high school and he makes fun of me better than anyone else. When I moved to LA he chauffeured me all around so I could shop and took me to some fabulous restaurants. He helped me get an apartment there. He is also a friend for life.

This is Amelia sleeping during her first meeting with her Godfather Will. Will is an actor, music video director, rapper, and has awesome Michael Jackson moves. Will and I met in high school too. I shared my Ben and Jerry’s ice cream with him which shows I liked him right off the bat because I rarely share. We moved to New York at the same time and he was my New York family for many years. Now he lives in LA with the rest of Amelia’s godfathers (boo) but we are still friends for life.

All three of Amelia’s godfather’s tour a lot but luckily she has the monkey versions of 2 of them to keep her company. Unfortunately, there is no Will monkey but someone needs to make one for my daughter ASAP.

Anyway, I take my daughter to baby Rock and Roll classes so that she will one day appreciate her Godfathers music. Of course, I can’t take her to class in just any old baby outfit. Here is what she wore today to Little Maestros.

The leather vest costs $54 and the marbled jeggings cost $29.50 both can be found at 77 Kids.

The Rock and Roll onesie was a gift from Aunt Stacey and her Grandma so I don’t know the price or where to get it. But if you really want it Amelia is almost grown out of it so let me know and I can send it to you…. just kidding I am saving all of Amelia’s clothes for my future second child!

I am so grateful that Amelia has such great godfathers and that they have been in my life for so long. More importantly, I can’t wait until she is old enough to go to one of their concerts so I can dress her up in something cute!

Folsom Little League Coach Under Fire After Post-Game Insult

FOLSOM (CBS13) – A Little League coach admits he went too far — with a post-game comment that sent a young player home in tears.

Folsom Angel’s pitcher Will Schmidt gave up two grand slams during a game two weeks ago solidifying a victory for the *opposing team — the Rangers.

During the post-game line up, instead of exchanging a handshake or kind words, the coach on the winning team admits he sarcastically told Will “Nice grand slams”.

The boy’s mom says her son never wants to pitch again.

“I mean that’s like twisting the knife into a kid who’s already down,” said Will’s mom, Catherine Schmidt.

The Folsom American Little League Vice President says this is the first time Ranger’s coach Greg Robertson’s been in hot water so they allowed him to continue coaching.

“Managers and coaches and players and parents all say things in Little League that they probably shouldn’t,” said Folsom American Little League Vice President Joanne Brausch.

Robertson’s since apologized to Will through a letter and phone call.
