Little Remains Patient With Work The Room

All things going well, Work The Room will race over the autumn carnival but don’t expect him to be thrown into the deep end too quickly. That’s the message from trainer Colin Little who’s patience is optimised by his decision to abort the lightly-raced four-year-olds spring preparation after suffering “three or four little separate setbacks.

” “There were little problems with his feet, a little problem with ringworm disease and each one of them cost us a week or so and at the end of the day we were behind, trying to catch up for the spring,” Little told The Virtual Formguide.

“Being mindful of the fact that if you do race in the spring and you do get to Melbourne Cup Day, you only get a week in the paddock before you get ready for the autumn. “So we just decided we were playing catch-up and he’s a class 3 horse. “It’s fairly hard to take on the best around when you’re not at your top,” he added.

Work The Room is currently stabled at Peter Morgan’s Whittlesea property doing some light work on the water walker. The son of Bel Esprit was sold for $160,000 at the Easter Yearling Sale and is a half-brother to three-time winner of the Group 2 Sandown Classic (2400m) Zipping.

“One of the issues he had was a little problem with his feet and interestingly Zipping has the same problem,” he said. “He’s a nice horse, a promising horse.” “I’ll just take him along quietly, I don’t know where we’ll finish up,” Little said before adding “I don’t want to be saying Australian Cups or anything like that – we’ll just see how things go.”

Work The Room is unbeaten from two starts. Sensationally backed on debut- from $3.70 into a $1.90 favourite – at Ballarat in a maiden over 1100m, he won in effortless fashion. The gelding was even more impressive at Sandown Hillside in a three-year-old handicap over 1300m a couple of weeks later, when he rattled home down the outside from last position to win and in doing so, completed his last 800m under 47 seconds.

The runner up was tedbear2 .

Their story:

one day there was a very very long line of moshlings ready too be sorted into sets. I.G.G.Y. was first. he was scanned. the machine told him what set to go into. then it was flumpy. the same thing happened. then coolio. “foodies” was the machine’s answer. finally, it was a lone elephant’s turn. he was about to be scanned as “unknown” but three ponies were fighting behind him. one of them fell over into the scanner. the pony moved to the back and the machine guard mistook the pony for the lone elephant. he was taken to the ponies’ section and he told the ponies already there how he had got here. they named him “Mr. Snoodle” after the moshi word for mysteriously mistaken.

and that is why that whenever you see the ponies you know Mr. Snoodle is somewhere nearby, often playing hide-and-scare with them.

-

What great stories! You all deserved your prizes!

Without question, Kelly Clarkson has always been my favourite Idol winner and arguably the most successful (closely followed and/or surpassed by Carrie Underwood).

But I just saw the latest musical release from Jordin Sparks, being featured in the single “Art of Love” by Aussie singer Guy Sebastian. I’ve never heard of him, but homeboy has got a voice! Jordin Sparks is always at her best in collabs w/ other R&B singers, I think. And this song may not be as successful as “No Air” with Chris Brown, but I think it’s a much better track.

This song gave me the chills. Love love love Jordin’s powerhouse voice.

A big thank you to everyone who came out Wednesday night for the 4th Annual Trivia Turkey Bowl. Seve

A big thank you to everyone who came out Wednesday night for the 4th Annual Trivia Turkey Bowl. Several former teams returned for this special event. Beth, Steve and Shonda from Zoinks! teamed up with Guys & Dolls, and Joe McNew, the God of Fire, made his return after a successful semester of classes.

An even bigger thank you to those who brought in canned goods for the Sharing Center in Sanford. Your generosity had me working overtime hauling all of the donations out to the car. I’ll deliver them to the Sharing Center next week.

As for the trivia, the Dirty Dixies walked away with the Quiz Cash trivia crown for November. The Dixies were in last place after the first week, and Gene found himself in Nancy’s dog house after the team lost 20 points on the Hero or Zero question. But the team battled back in Week Two to take the lead and never relinquished the top spot.

Guys & Dolls had a good month, finished just 1/2 point out of 3rd place.

Guys & Dolls and Empty Glasses won the free rounds of beer.

I need to say thanks to Theo at the Willow Tree Cafe (which was judged as the No. 2 German restaurant in all of America) and Terry at Angelo’s Pizza for donating gift certificates for the night. Your generosity is much appreciated. The teams who won gift certificates include Ecto Cooler, That’s What She Said, Clever Team Name, Simple Minded and Dirty Dixies.

And of course thanks to Rob and Terri at the Black Swan for hosting trivia each week and sponsoring the free shots of Wild Turkey that were passed out Wednesday night.

Trivial tidbits from the night included:

According to Domino’s Pizza, the company delivers more pizza’s on Super Bowl Sunday than any other day. Domino’s second busiest day is Thanksgiving Eve.

For their first meal on the moon, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin ate roast turkey in foil packets.

A person with Pentheraphobia fears mother-in-laws.

You will find the Sargasso Sea in the Atlantic Ocean.

I love my family and my friends, my work, my company, and while it can seem like a struggle, I know things will work out if I just continue to do what I do: Hustle.

In FBRP news, we will be finishing our intro video’s this weekend and they will be put on the website probably on Sunday. We will also be having our friend CJ take some pictures of us, so kind of like a real photoshoot…except with out the “real” part. Ok, so basically it will be us and a camera or two. You’ll like it. Well, I hope you do anyway, we try really hard. You can check it out by clicking right around here.

With that in mind, we can start to pick this week’s NFL games. I already missed the start of the Packers game, so I will skip that one, as well as the Oakland/Dallas. So, in recap, last week I went 9-7, which was pretty much due to the Bengals and the Steelers blowing it, should have been 11-5. Whatever. So, the grand total is now is 33-21. Yeah baby, i’ll take the winning percentage any day in this kind of game. So, with that being said, on to Week 12 of the NFL season!!

1. Denver v. New York Giants
Winner: Denver. You should know by now I am not picking against Denver. Ever. So be it. We need this badly.

2. Miami v. Buffalo
Winner: Dolphins. Wildcats running wild. Does Buffalo even have a coach yet?

3. Seattle v. St. Louis
Winner: Seattle. Why? Eh…Why not?

4. Indianapolis v. Houston
Winner: Indy. This game will be good though. Andre Johnson is for real. Houston should have won that game Monday, lets just hope it doesn’t mess them up for this tough battle.

5. Cleveland v. Cincinatti
Winner: Cincy. Last week was a fluke and the Bengals will be right back on track after they mop up the lowly Browns.

6. Carolina v. New York Jets
Winner: Carolina. I don’t know whats happening to the Jets. First their good, now they are “eh” at best.

7. Tampa Bay v. Atlanta
Winner: Atlanta. I just think the Falcons are too much for the Bucs. I do like Freeman alot though.

8. Washington v. Philadelphia
Winner: Philly. No contest. Well…it shouldn’t be a contest.

9. Kansas City v. San Diego
Winner: Bolts. I really want KC to win this, but I just don’t see how they can. Well, who knows, they did beat the Steelers…

10. Jacksonville v. San Fransisco
Winner: SF. After some tough games, I think the 49ers will bounce back and take down the Jags.

11. Chicago v. Minnesota
Winner: Vikings. Too good, too much. Chi town just can’t seem to get it right. And now we see how valuable those recievers that Cutler had with the Broncos were to him. Gotta have some one to catch the ball too.

12. Arizona v. Tennessee
Winner: AZ. Tenn played a great game last week, but I think if Warner is on his game, then its a done deal.

13. Pittsburgh v. Baltimore
Winner: Pittsburgh. This will be a great game. Battle, in the trenches kind of football. Steelers have the offense to win the game late.

14. New England v. New Orleans
Winner: New Orleans. I think the Saints have something great on their hands, and games like this will either prove that…or…well, disprove it. Simple as that.

Well, there we go. Enjoy your weekend with friends/family. I know I will.

Here we go. It’s time to put on those sweat pants, tell the kids to go to the other room, and tell the significant other to sit down, shut up, and keep the turkey coming. It’s Week 12, and that means it’s Thanksgiving week. The sad part of this most glorious of holidays is that you are subject to two awful helpings of crap games, topped of with a dessert of two teams barely floating above the cranberry sauce. If you can power through Thursdays games, you will be rewarded with a few turkey sandwiches on Sunday and Monday. And nothing is better than a leftover turkey sandwich, right? Right?

Anyway, here are the picks for Week 12. Oh yeah, and after going 13-3 last week, I think it’s about time you start listening to me. I know what I’m talking about:

Green Bay (6-4) at Detroit (2-8): How Detroit has held on to this spotlight game is beyond me. They have lost the last 5 Turkeybowl games and I’m sorry, kids, but they are going to lose again. Last week’s miracle was very impressive, but they are without Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson this week. Even with those two in the lineup, it would be a stretch to say they have a shot at beating the Packers. Winner: Green Bay

Oakland (3-7) at Dallas (7-3): Holy crap, someone finally listened to me. Sit JaMarcus Russell and good things will happen. HUGE win last week for the Raiders, and that momentum could stay with them on Thursday in Dallas. Oakland has won the last three meetings with the ‘Boys, but Dallas has taken the last three Turkeybowl games. Something has to give in this one. Bruce Gradkowski has all the confidence in the world going into this game. Upset of the Week comes early: I’m taking the Raiders in a shocker. Winner: Oakland

NY Giants (6-4) at Denver (6-4): If you can’t hear the wheels falling of the Broncos’ bandwagon, then the mile-high air might be getting to you. This current train wreck is starting to affect team chemistry. Brandon Marshall was seen cussing out Knowshon Moreno after his fumble at the goal line. That can only spell disaster as Denver tries to get back on track against the G-Men. New York pulled out an overtime squeaker last week to get their first win in over a month. With Kyle Orton still hurting, I don’t know if Denver has a shot. This spotlight game will make one team’s season, while the loser will miss the playoffs. Guaranteed. Winner: NY Giants

Tampa Bay (1-9) at Atlanta (5-5): This is the game that Altanta needs to get back on track. With the division completely out of reach, the Falcons are just looking to save face and hopefully have an outside shot at a wildcard berth. The Bucs just can’t seem to find any sort of rhythm, but Josh Freeman is looking better. This is a team in progress, but that progress stops this week. Look for Matt Ryan to get his groove going again, and Michael Turner to rack up for yards to please his fantasy owners. Winner: Atlanta

Miami (5-5) at Buffalo (3-7): Miami is better than their .500 record. They have two stud running backs and a defense that does just enough to keep them close. With a cerebral quarterback like Chad Henne managing the game, the Dolphins can do some damage the rest of the year. That starts this week against the lowly Bills. This team just has no identity. T.O. has started to come on as of late, but too little too late for the Bills. This game is over by halftime, with the Dolphins racking up over 300 yards on the ground. Winner: Miami

Washington (3-7) at Philadelphia (6-4): Big plays will rule this game just as it did last time these two teams squared off. Washington as no offense. They can’t put up any points. The only way they have a shot to beat the Eagles is to outscore them. And I don’t see Philly putting up anything less than 28 on the Redskins. Submit your recommendation for next year’s coach below. Winner: Philadelphia

Seattle (3-7) at St. Louis (1-9): I’m sorry, but no one gives two craps about this game. People in Seattle and St. Louis don’t even care. Aside from Stephen Jackson for the Rams, and T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Matt Hasselbeck for the Seahawks, there is no reason to watch this game. Please, I repeat:DO NOT WATCH THIS GAME. That being said: Winner: Seattle

Carolina (4-6) at NY Jets (4-6): The rest of this year is going to be about getting Matt Sanchez to a place where he feels the most comfortable. The fate of this franchise for the forseeable future rests on the shoulders of “Sanchize”. I know, it’s a ridiculous nickname, but the kid is good. He just needs to get those rookie mistakes out of the way. This matchup will not be about him, however. It will be about what the Jets can do to slow down the two-headed monster of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. With almost 1500 yards and 13 touchdowns combined, this tandem is the future of the NFL rushing game: two good backs sharing the load. The day of the elite back is soon coming to a close. Winner: Carolina

Cleveland (1-9) at Cincinnati (7-3): Neither of these teams have anything to be happy about. Both teams let horrible teams stay close throughout the game and lost in the final seconds. Cleveland’s silver lining: they, too, are a horrible team. Cincinnati? They were playing at an elite level. They have beaten the Steelers and Ravens twice. They were gearing up for a long playoff run. Then the Raiders let everyone know that on any given Sunday, yadda yadda yadda. The Bengals are going to be pissed. They will be more than pissed. Someone may get hurt from the Browns. It’s going to get ugly. Bernard Scott had a huge game last week, and look for much of the same against an inept Cleveland defense. Winner: Cincinnati

Indianapolis (10-0) at Houston (5-5): The Texans are much like the Dolphins, they are a good team that doesn’t know it yet. They have all the tools…oh wait, they play against the Colts this week? Sorry. Winner: Indianapolis

Kansas City (3-7) at San Diego (7-3): The Chargers are on fire right now. Quietly waiting while the Broncos got out to that crazy (and seemingly exaggerated) start. They are now on top of the division and looking better than ever. LT is back and it looks like he’s running mad. After weeks of everyone saying that he’s done took it’s toll, and now the former MVP wants to let everyone know he’s still an elite back. With the Chiefs coming in winning two in a row, the Chargers have to take care of “the little team that could” and claim the division. (Side note: during last week’s Denver/San Diego game, I sent my friend a text saying “if San Diego means ‘a whale’s vagina’ then Denver must be the butthole. I thought it was pretty clever.) Winner: San Diego

Jacksonville (6-4) at San Francisco (4-6): With MJD and MSW both dinged up, this could be a game that the Niners steal. Michael Crabtree is playing like someone that should have held out for big money, because he’s playing like he’s worth it. In just five games, he’s already fourth on the team in catches and third in yards. But he still isn’t a game breaker, unlike MJD. Look for a big day running by the fantasy stud as the Jags keep pace for a wildcard spot. Winner: Jacksonville

Chicago (4-6) at Minnesota (9-1): Jay Cutler is bad. It’s not entirely his fault. His best receiver is a converted defensive back. He is the team’s second leading rusher. And his line is letting him get forced into throwing bad passes. Don’t get me wrong: Cutler is still bad. If it was just him, it would be a quick fix. But there is no one to help him. Matt Forte needs to get out of the sophomore slump and start producing again. Adrian Peterson usually tees off against the Bears, and this time will be no different. He’s one yard short of another 1,000 yard season. Brett Favre continues to shock the sh!t out of me, but it is getting towards the end of the season. Let’s see how much longer he can keep this up. Winner: Minnesota

Arizona (7-3) at Tennessee (4-6): When is this dream going to end? The Titans are on a role, and Vince Young looks like the savior Jeff Fischer needs to keep his job. The Cards have been feasting on inferior teams within their own division all season. It’s kind of like playing against the practice squad on Sunday. The Titans will not be a pushover as they are surging to a .500 record and the respect of the entire league. Winner: Arizona

Pittsburgh (6-4) at Baltimore (5-5): When the season started, I’m confident that neither of these teams guessed they’d be looking up at the Bengals on the top of the AFC North. With the division title looking to be out of reach, these two rivals want to keep pace with the rest of the wildcard contenders. Big Ben Roethlisberger got beat up last week, and had to be pulled from the game after a vicious hit to the head. He looks to be alright, but this is no ordinary defense he’ll be facing. The Ravens will want to knock his head clean off as they are fighting for their season. With the home crowd behind them, the Ravens will control the ground game with Ray Rice and the defense will hold the Steelers to under 17 points. Winner: Baltimore

New England (7-3) at New Orleans (10-0): GAME OF THE WEEK! The “Battle of the New” is a great way to end this holiday weekend that started off with duds on Turkey Day. These two division leaders face off on Monday Night Football with Superbowl dreams buzzing around the Superdome. The Saints look like they are playing on ROOKIE game setting in Madden 10. The game is coming to Drew Brees so easily that he may steal the MVP award away from Tom Brady, who is having a stellar year so far. Brady has 300 more yards that Brees, but has also attempted 73 more passes. The Saints deploy a balanced rushing attack with both Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell over 100 carries and 500 yards each. That doesn’t even factor in the dual-threat of Reggie Bush. Tom Brady likes to keep his two big guns happy. Randy Moss and Wes Welker could both be over 1000 yards by the end of this game. This game will be decided by which quarterback has the ball last. If you missed the IND/NE game earlier this year, do NOT miss this one. Winner: New Orleans

Happy Thanksgiving.

Good luck finding a free plastic bag these days, folks. In a valiant effort to rid the Earth of these eco-unfriendly scourges, stores now routinely charge customers for the evil — yet handy — vessels.

So, along with many other shopaholics, I’ve taken to carrying a collapsible bag with me wherever I go.

Okay, not everywhere. I didn’t have it on my most recent trip to Winners, and I was all ready to spring for the sad plastic sack when I spotted another option.

For $1.49, you could buy a reusable … and very stylish … bag and donate to The Canadian Women’s Foundation at the same time. (Other options were a “re-heatable” (!?!) teddy bear for $16.99, boxed gift candles for $4.99.)

So, no big surprise, that’s what I did. (And I’ve never had so many compliments on a $1.49 purchase!)

Here’s what I found out about this commendable organization:

According to their website, the Canadian Women’s Foundation (CWF) is Canada’s only national public foundation dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls.

CWF raises money to fund, research and share the best approaches to:

Ending violence against women

Moving low-income women out of poverty

Empowering girls with confidence, courage and critical thinking skills

Here’s one of their inspirational success stories:

Montana

Ten-year-old Montana knew she loved math, science and helping others, but was so painfully shy she found it difficult to speak even in front of family and friends.

Through a program funded by the Canadian Women’s Foundation, Montana participated in fun, hands-on activities that built her confidence and her interest in science, math, and technology. Montana also learned to relate to people with an openness that helped her break out of her shell. With her new-found confidence Montana also discovered a new dream: she wants to become a veterinarian.

Montana’s mom had this to say: “I went to the girls’ presentation on one of their projects, and there’s my daughter standing up, speaking in front of a room full of strangers… She’s really a new person, I can’t describe it any other way.”

P.S. Happy, Happy Thanksgiving to all those south of the 49th parallel!

P.P.S. And to celebrate the special occasion, a special mother-and-son duet. Enjoy!

(1) coupon for free shipping on any one item in my etsy store (can be redeemed at any time, keep in mind: new items (including mixed media and handmade books) will be available in the near future)

Sarah!!! (who’s comment said “I’m currently obsessed with finding the perfect gifts for family and friends. This year I am all about creative but inexpensive. If that means finding and old book in a resale shop or making a delicious treat, so be it!”
Kelly!!! (who’s comment said “I am obsessed with all things crafty right now…but specifically scrapbooking. I’ve been making little scrapbooks for every season, holiday, and vacation.”)

No way to contact either of them, hope they check back!

and…

due to the overwhelming response….
I picked 3 more names!!
These 3 people will receive a coupon for free shipping on two items in my etsy store! (can be redeemed at any time, keep in mind: new items (including mixed media and handmade books) will be available in the near future)

Amy!!! (who’s comment said “GREEN SILK! it looks beautiful and adds a little pizzaz, just as an embelishment.”)
Kristine!!! (who’s comment said “Awesome give away! I’m currently obsessed with… saving money! My husband and I are expecting our first child in February and need to buy our first house before then. Hence the reason I love this give away! Also, I can’t seem to stop buying thank you cards, especially ones I find on clearance. You can never have too many stashed away and ready to go!”)
Mik/SlightlyMordant!!! (who’s comment said “Tweeted it (user slightlymordant). I am currently obsessed with journals, after making a handwritten hand drawn version of the Grail Diary from Indiana and the Last Crusade I am trying to think of another subject to make a journal for. Dances with Wolves, The last Samurai etc. But while I think I tend to buy any interesting journal I see.)

Congrats to everyone!!!
I will contact those I can, the others I hope you come forward for your prize!!!

Tie Buddies was kind enough to send us a set of race car Tie Buddies for review, and are offering one of our readers their choice of Tie Buddies for a boy or a girl.

Tie Buddies are really cute, and a wonderful idea. I do want to start with there is a choking warning on the front of their package, I do think that’s responsible of them. As these are small, and if removed could very well pose a choking hazard.

These are an aid to help your child(ren) learn to tie their shoes. Not only does this help to learn to tie their shoes, it helps them tie a more secure knot. It’s not fun at any age to tie, and retie a loose shoe lace.

They are sized well enough to slide right onto laces of shoes, and little hands can maneuver them about. Creating simple stories with your child, and teaching him/her to tie their shoes can create lasting memories, and priceless quality time with your kids.

As I mentioned above we were sent Race Car Tie Buddies. Ours are blue squares, 2 with red, 2 with green race cars on them. The girls Tie Buddies are Fairies and Wands.

They really are so cute! And I think fairly priced at $8.99. Tie Buddies, ship quickly, and their site is rather easy to navigate. Easy navigation to shop on a website is a big plus from me. Nine step instructions are printed on the back of the package, as well as on their site in case the packaging gets ripped while opening them.

What a great night! Ok, I only made the latter part of it because I had to work until 9pm, but everybody looked to be having a fabby time. I got there just in time to see the raffle draw, and missed out on the High School Musical advent calendar – darnit!

Huge congratulations to all our prize winners, and we hope you like your rosettes! Doreen tells us that’s it for the pom-poms now, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

I missed the food, but rumour has it, it was very nice. Great to see so many people dancing, and the glow sticks (and party hats!) went down a treat – you only have to look at the photos which you can find on Facebook!

Next year we might do a fancy dress theme - any suggestions?

Once again a huge congratulations to our champions, and we look forward to seeing you fight for your titles (not literally of course) next year.

Last night, WWE delivered a strong pay-per-view with the 2009 Survivor Series. Six matches were on the card, including two championship matches. Both champions succeeded in their matches, both survived the triple threat. We know the outcome of all the matches, but who really won last night? Who really lost?

Hit the jump for the complete analysis of last night’s Survivor Series, with a match-by-match breakdown of who the real winners and losers were.

THE MATCH: The Miz, Jack Swagger, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison, Finlay, Evan Bourne, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin in a Survivor Series elimination tag match.

THE WINNERS: Despite a valiant effort, the three-on-one onslaught of The Miz, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre proved too much for the Friday Night Delight, John Morrison. The young collection of heels won an impressive opening match that last just over twenty minutes. The aforementioned trio of Miz, Sheamus and McIntyre each survived.

THE REAL WINNER(S): John Morrison put up on a strong effort against three individuals, showcasing himself as the MVP of his team. Despite losing the match, John Morrison came out looking strong in defeat. The Miz continued on his path, leading to his team to victory over his former teammate. Since moving to RAW, Sheamus has been billed as a vicious monster, and he continued that last night by surviving and getting the win for his team. The final winner is Smackdown’s latest project, the young Drew McIntyre. McIntyre looked strong throughout the match, picked up two eliminations and survived the night.

THE REAL LOSER(S): It pains me to say it, but definitely Dolph Ziggler. Dolph has gone from a guy poised to win the Intercontinental Championship and destined to breakout as a main-eventer, to the first one eliminated in a Survivor Series elimination match that sees his team win with three survivors. To make matters worse, the match lasted over 20 minutes, and Dolph was the first person eliminated about four minutes into the match.

THE MATCH: Batista vs. Rey Mysterio

THE WINNER: Batista showed no mercy for Rey Mysterio, winning the match by referee stoppage following three Batista Bomb’s. Batista continued the onslaught after the match, sending his former friend away on a stretcher.

THE REAL WINNER(S): No one.

THE REAL LOSER(S): The feud is doing nothing for either individual. Rey Mysterio doesn’t come out of it looking good in defeat, he got massacred and the referee had to stop the bout. Batista because he’s supposed to be a heel, yet can’t succeed in getting the fans to boo him when he’s destroying a small fry like Mysterio. Besides, it’s not like the basis for this feud did anything but make Batista out to be a whining pussy.

THE MATCH: Kofi Kingston, MVP, Mark Henry, R-Truth, and Christian vs. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, C.M. Punk, and William Regal in a Survivor Series elimination tag match.

THE WINNERS: Kofi Kingston found himself in a tough situation, a handicap match against Randy Orton and CM Punk; two former champions. Kofi’s only chance to win the match, defeat two former multi-time champions. Kingston did just that to give his team the win, as the sole survivor.

THE REAL WINNER(S): CM Punk and Randy Orton looked like a million bucks in my eyes, for putting over Kofi in such a huge fashion. Substitute John Cena, DX, or the Undertaker in their spot, and that would not have happened. They’re not hurt by the loss at all. The biggest winner, obviously Kofi Kingston. He put on a great performance, and no one in the company is riding as big a wave of momentum as Kofi is right now. The focal point of the entire event has to be Kofi, it was his night and he seized it in a major way.

THE REAL LOSER(S): Mark Henry. The “World’s Strongest Man” lasted about two minutes. Pathetic.

THE MATCH: The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show in a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

THE WINNER: The Undertaker retained his title by forcing the massive Big Show to tap out to Hell’s Gate.

THE REAL WINNER(S): Chris Jericho was the highlight of the match, as he usually is. Jericho is definitely due for another reign as World Heavyweight Champion, and I hope he gets that opportunity to do so soon, say TLC in December. One on one with The Undertaker in a bit match type like a TLC match, certainly like the odds of Jericho walking out as champion,

THE REAL LOSER(S): Big Show lost the match, but did you expect anything else? Big Show may as well give up, he’s never going to win the World Championship again. Let’s end this pairing of JeriShow and movie Jericho back to where he belongs, let the Big Show go do some comedy stuff and stay away from the championship matches.

THE MATCH: Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Melina, Gail Kim, Eve Torres vs. Michelle McCool, Layla, Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, and Alicia Fox in a Survivor Series elimination tag match.

THE WINNERS: Team Mickie picked up the win when Melina eliminated Michelle McCool. Team captain Mickie James and Melina are the only survivors.

THE REAL WINNER(S): No one. This was a throwaway match that did nothing for the divas division.

THE REAL LOSER(S): WWE Creative. WWE has some really talented women wrestlers, so I can’t for the life of me understand why they continue to show them no respect and use them as simply fodder. This match was short and predictable, and the eliminations happened so fast it was just impossible to care about. Several of the divas deserve much better than this.

THE MATCH: John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels in a triple threat match for the WWE Championship.

THE WINNER: John Cena won a hard fought contest, surprise surprise.

THE REAL WINNER(S): From start to finish, this match was exciting and excellent. All three men are granted winner status for their performance in the main event. Was it the match of the year? No, it didn’t come close to topping HBK/Undertaker from WrestleMania 25, but how many matches can? It was a wonderful triple threat though, and things got interesting anytime Triple H and Shawn Michaels locked up. I’m still hoping for one more Michaels/Hunter singles match, hopefully at WrestleMania 26.

THE REAL LOSER(S): This was a great match, nobody came out of it looking bad or in anyway a “loser”. Great showing by all three men.

I love the smell of Rosemary and Lavender and was thrilled to get Rosemary Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner from Monave’. They both smell really good and when using the same scents for your hair your scents don’t clash or over power.

The Rosemary and Lavender shampoo is lightly foaming and completely plant based. It cleans hair and leaves hair soft and weightless. This shampoo is suitable for normal to oily hair and normal to dry hair. It works with most all hair types.

Deborah Bilezikian, owner of Monave Mineral Cosmetics

The Rosemary Lavender Conditioner is light, nourishing, and detangles after use. The condition works best when it is applied after the Rosemary and Lavender Shmapoo. What I really like about this conditioner is that I can pronounce every ingredient.

Both of the Monave’ hair products are nice and worked well on my dry curly hair. The smell stuck with me for the day and it was a nice natural smell. Not a product smell.

Monave manufacturing is done with out any animal testing. 95% of Monave products are vegan. Paper, glass and plastics are recycled in the Monave warehouse and we ask that our customers do the same.

The Monave name comes from “Modern”, “Natural”, and “Versatile”.

The Monave line of mineral cosmetics includes, Lip glosses, lipsticks, blush, eyeliners, bronzers, mineral makeup foundation, as well as naturally formulated facial skin care and natural hair care products.

Monday November 23, 2009 3:17 PM

5 Ways to ALWAYS Win

I was in the shower and the idea came to mind to list 5 ways to always win. Must have been the inspiration of cleansing that sparked the idea, but it really does not matter why. So check out the post.

1. WIN IN YOUR HEAD

Number one is pretty much self explanatory, but I will explain it in depth. I will tell you what I’m “talkin bout…” Say you are in a competition, “I am in a competition…”, just kidding but bare with me. If you are in a competition where there is an imagined winner and an imagined loser, you feel that there are only two outcomes. If you look at it from the “TRUE” standpoint there really is no loser. There really is no competition. The competition is all in your head, the stress from the competition is all in your head.

So no matter what happens in the “competition” know that you are a winner regardless.

You are the only consciousness in your reality, everybody else thinks of you the way you think of you. So however you WIN is how you will WIN.

What you imagine you WIN is up to you.

If I’m at the local park and I play a basketball game, what do I actually win?

I have asked myself this many times, respect, bragging rights, mental superiority? None of these things are really things. They are all in the head.

So now number one is simply WIN in your head.

Find something to derive good from and focus on that.

2. Evaluate what you think losing is.

In order to figure out how to always win, you have to find out what you feel is losing.

What are you losing when you lose? Is there anything you see yourself as winning. An even better way to look at it is to say “There is no losing.”

If I have lost then I have actually won, because losing teaches me what I need to do to win. I can never lose. I can only lose what is not real, and in any case what is not real is an illusion.

So if the “Game” is not real, then I don’t lose anything that is real, I will only lose illusion.

When I lose illusion it is replaced with truth. The truth always wins.

3. NEVER hold on to FAILURE

Never ever hold on to failure. Failure is not real. The only way it becomes real is when you think about it. Other then thinking about it, or making it possible, you never fail. Are you failing right now as you read this blog?

You are perfectly ok as you read this blog. If you are in this moment and not thinking about the future or past then you have no failure. If your attention keeps going back to times that you have failed, then you will think of yourself as a failure.

The spirit can’t hold onto things that are not real. Meaning anything that is not perfect love will not be with your spirit. Just like your body will not be with your spirit. Are you a failure when you leave earth and leave your body behind?

You can’t hold on to your body, so why would you try when it is left behind. That’s why you should never hold on to failure. Mainly because it is a trick of your mind.

4. Know that you are neither a loser nor a winner

Another way to always win is to realize that winning and losing doesn’t exist.

What the heck do I mean?

I’ll find myself in a separated mind if I believe the two are real. The separated mind is the breeding ground for the “EGO”, the EGO is not edible like EGGOS, especially for the spirit.

The spirit, to inspire, inspirational, I’m inspired, is the internal knowing that exists beyond the perception of the mind. So to the spirit there is no concept of winning because it cannot be separated from truth.

It is truth.

When you remember this it becomes easy to always win, because you know that you cannot lose. No matter what happens in the competitions set up in your mind, the losing and winning are all in your mind. Which means they are subject to your perception. Which means if you want to win when it looks like you have lost, just simply WIN.

HAHA

Nothing is stopping you but you.

5. Heal your mind from LOSS

Whenever you have thoughts about loss in your mind, forgive your self for believing that you have lost. Heal your mind of the illusion and find something that you have “won” to focus on.

When you heal your mind of loss, you don’t have loss anymore. Think about it.

When heal your mind of the loss of a material item like a car, you no longer feel like you have lost anything. Because you haven’t. Just like the body, you can’t take the car with you when you leave this earth. But you can heal your mind from thinking that you have lost something.

Forgiveness is the new sexy. When you heal your mind, you always. Win.

Speaking of “winners” check out the video below.

Now as I post this I imply nothing about religion or anything material. I see that this man had a different idea of winning and it was his truth. Some people will say he really lost, but to him he won.

So I say to you to whom does it really matter that you have won? To yourself right? So why not ALWAYS win through the TRUTH within yourself?
