This adorable couple are expecting their first baby in just 6 short weeks. We met up at The Forks for a very bright and sunny mid day maternity session. Not a cloud in the sky!

They had several cute and meaningful props and outfit changes (which I loved). I also think it is so important to keep dad to be happy (hence all the Boston Bruins goodies). Many of these cute items will be used for his/her upcoming newborn shoot too. Love that!

Such a fun loving family that were up for anything and let me capture what was in my head and mix in ideas that Crystel had too. Perfect!

Oh how I enjoyed seeing this family again. And soon they are expecting baby number two. So excited to meet this little guy in just 5 short weeks.

It was an amazing evening (even if I was convinced it was going to rain). Mom looks amazing, dad is on cloud nine and soon to be big sister is just the sweetest little thing. All in all, a perfect shoot.

This is one of those families that I have photographed so many times, they are almost like family now.

Dustin surprised Lisa (yet again) with this fun “mommy and me” shoot as a gift for Mother’s Day. What a great way to capture them before this family of three becomes four. Yes, Ronin is going to be a big brother in just 16 weeks. There is so much love that surrounds these three, I can only imagine what one more will bring.

A gorgeous mom-to-be - Winnipeg Maternity

This session was extra special for me. I have known this wonderful woman for several years now. We started out as prop buddies and our relationship has grown from there. Many of my fans know her as the woman behind Prairie Tots Boutique here in Winnipeg. She is a master of crochet, sewing and all things pretty for newborns.

It was an honor when she asked me to photograph her maternity session. It is always a bit more pressure when the shoot is for someone you know.

We played in puddles, trekked through 3 ft snow drifts in a forrest and even took in a gorgeous sunset. I’d say this was perfect… even if it was zero degrees in the middle of April!

This gorgeous couple is expecting their first baby in just 3 short weeks. Baby is due to arrive on Valentine’s Day. The gender is a surprise but one this is for sure, baby will have to learn to love hockey. Dad is a huge fan and we incorporated it into the session.

All I can say is K has a perfect belly to photograph and was up for anything. We played with lighting and got some amazing and dramatic shots.

This maternity portrait session was done at The Exchange Studios here in Winnipeg.

I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous mama today in my studio. Thank you for all your patience while I played with my lights. I like to create mood and accentuate the shape of the baby bump with lights in maternity photography and it does take some experimentation. But the results are worth the effort every time.

I meet the nicest people in this job and today was no exception. This couple were just as wonderful as they look in their pictures. A and T were high school sweethearts who have been married for 4 years now. I can’t wait to photograph their baby once she/he is born. This couple is sure to have a very beautiful child!

I’ve gotten a little behind in editing pictures. Please know that I am planning to work this week and get caught up. Last week turned out to be much busier than I had anticipated, including 3 nights at the Ex with the photo exhibit and the reception for the contest winners. It’s full speed ahead this week.

On Monday I did a maternity shoot for this excited couple. It’s their first and they only have one month to go. Kim, this busy mom owns Urban Flora www.urbanflora.ca and is on her feet for a lot of the day. She’s keeping very busy right up until the big day. Lucky Daddy gets to stay home with the baby. By the way, if you need any flowers for any occasion, give the shop a call at 255-6700. I’ve seen some very amazing wedding arrangements that they have done up!!
