And now for those who speak English! One color that fits great in winter is light grey! It is sophisticated and fits with every clothes! This week´s manicure is simple and easy to make. The only thing you have to pay attention is the heart. To make it, I used a post it to cut the heart, and then put it carefully on the nail, making sure you don´t leave any air space in between… and that´s it! I hope you enjoy this tip and have fun with this look for the week.

we’ll ease our way into holiday hands with something not overly jolly. this subtle look is more a tribute to the ice cold of winter, and is one for those among us who aren’t into everything red and glittery (if that’s you, turn away over the next couple of weeks. and p.s… boo, grinch!)

to create my ‘winter crystal’ mani, i used essie ‘no place like chrome‘ and andrea fulerton’s crystal gemstones.

starting with a good clear base coat, i then painted on two thin coats of the chrome polish.

the andrea fulerton kit comes with a little rubber picker upper stick, but after repeatedly dropping the crystals into the living room rug where they forever shall remain, i resorted to using my tweezers. use whichever works for you.

i also found it easier to allow my chrome polish to dry, and then brush a teeny amount of clear polish onto the back of each crystal before applying – this meant i could take my time in placing them, rather than rushing to apply them before the polish dried. it also meant there was less chance of smudging the chrome.

i dotted three crystals on each finger, and four on my thumb nail. after applying with the tweezers, gently push down with your finger to ensure they’re firmly in place.

ét voila: a subtle winter chill mani, with just enough glam to get you through the festive season. ice ice baby.

SDO: the right look for your nails next winter.

You should wear short nails, just past the tip of your fingers; try wearing dark hues, such as deep gray, purple, maroon or green; finally try wearing oval shaped nails, not too much, almost squared, to make your look smarter than ever.

Or to go one step create memorable nails add a top coat that makes your nails glitter and gloss. It is better if the glitter of your last coat has a similar shade of the polish you applied below.
