Am vizionat filmul I hate Valentine’s Day…si da mi-a venit o idee de articol, cele mai bune idei imi vin cand urmaresc filme dragute. Si m-am gandit ca ar merge o mica dezbatere. Sa va spun despre ce e vorba: romantismul! Mai exista sau nu? Vizionam filme cu si despre dragoste, dragostea romantica (oops o fi un pleonasm? ). In fiecare film tipul si tipa ies la cateva intalniri, el o impresioneaza cu duzini de trandafiri si bomboane de ciocolata, ea e “mesmerized” de actele lui de romantism si se indragostesc….nimeni n-arata ce se intampla in continuare. Niciun film nu spune ca intr-o relatie sunt si rele nu numai fantezii copilaresti, caci asta-i romantismul….ceva copilaresc, naiv, si totusi toate ne dorim sa vedem gesturi romantice, fie ele si simpla atingere a unei petale de flori in palma sau niste amarate de bomboane de ciocolata….sigur ca ti le poti cumpara singura , dar ce rost mai au? Nimic nu se compara cu sentimentul ca le primesti de la el. Pana si un minuscul breloc de chei conteaza, caci e de la el. Romantismul nu inseamna gesturi marete, inseamna gesturi mici care conteaza, inseamna gesturi din suflet, pline de sentiment. Si-atunci ma intreb….unde a disparut ? De ce voi, barbatii, ati pierdut aceasta trasatura , unde au disparut gesturile cavaleresti? Stiu, o sa spuneti ca si femeile s-au schimbat , ca au devenit materialiste, rele, profitoare, crude, asa e; si e trist, e trist ca s-au pierdut valorile omenirii, ca s-au dus sentimentele si ca traim intr-o lume atat de apatica si greu de suportat. Ne ducem zilele una cate una, gandidu-ne numai ca si ziua urmatoare va fi la fel ca cea de ieri, unde trebuie doar sa mergem la serviciu si inapoi. Ia-ti un moment pentru tine, fa o plimbare in parc, indragosteste-te de o fata frumoasa, culege o floare, culca-te pe iarba, priveste cerul si admira soarele. Zambeste, oricat de negru ti-ar fi sufletul zambeste, oricat te doare ca n-ai de mancare pe masa, incearca sa zambesti, pentru o secunda din viata ta vei uita de tot ce e rau si vei simti fericire. Nu irosi nicio clipa din ea, e pe cale de disparitie….haideti sa n-o lasam sa piara. Si nu, nu vorbesc asa fiindca sunt fericita, caci poate in sufletul meu se ascund multe dureri, dar nu mai vreau sa le simt….vreau sa-mi colorez propriul cer. Opreste-te si admira lumea din jurul tau, e o minune ca traiesti! Romantic sau nu?

Within Temptation. Ze zijn een van de grootste exportproducten van Nederland op muzikaal gebied. Meer dan 10 jaar lang is de band te zien geweest in haar legendarische en bombastische live optredens waardoor ze zijn uitgegroeid tot één van de meest populaire bands uit het genre. Grote live shows, festivals, uitverkochte stadions. Het kan voor de – uit de klei opgetrokken –  metal formatie niet groot genoeg. Tot voorkort. Want deze rockers van weleer laten in A Acoustic Night at the Theatre een totaal andere kant van zichzelf zien. Integere mooie liedjes,  in een akoestische setting. Verrassend. Ik kan niet anders zeggen. Alleen de opnamekwaliteit van de live-cd is ronduit slecht. Een gemiste kans. Jammer.

Maar wees niet getreurd, want er is veel meer goede muziek! John Mayer is bijvoorbeeld weer terug! En niet zomaar, maar met een steengoed album. Geïnspireerd door de Californische rock en popinvloeden van de jaren ‘70 en ‘80 is Battle Studies hèt remedie tegen een winterdip… Nog niet overtuigd? Lees volgende week mijn blog over John Mayer!

choć internet to wirtualny twór efemeryczny postanowiłem jak wielu poprzedników skroplić kilka linijek w jego ulotną woń.. jednakże nie jestem z tych co z duszą na ramieniu podążają wyznaczonymi szlakami. nie oczekuj uzewnętrzniania i urzeczywistniania wewnętrznego świata w słowa. to zła droga. słowa bezmyślnie rzucone na wiatr giną zanim ktokolwiek dowie się o ich istnieniu, są jak mdła masa ciał której celem jest gnicie w ziemi z jakiej zostali ulepieni.

nie zawsze tak musi być.

słowa  opatrzone sztuką żyją wiecznie, nie dosięgnie ich nigdy wrzeciono czasu

muzyka choć ulotna jest najcenniejszą sztuką, nie znajdziesz w niej kszty mdlości- nieśmiertelna bo nie naznaczona materią

słowa połączone z muzyką są eskalacją piękna i mocy. niczym nie ograniczone, żyją wiecznie.

Astazi 19 noiembrie 2009…am vizionat pentru a patra oara concertul Black Simphony Within Temptation si am realizat ca sunt cei mai tari din lume, oamenii astia au cantat doua ore fara oprire, numai cantece superbe, Sharon are cea mai frumoasa voce din univers, ti se face pielea de gaina numai cand o asculti. Fata asta ar putea sa cante orice, insa a ales muzica rock…si ma intreb, oare de ce toate marile voci aleg sa cante muzica asta? De ce aici gasim cele mai mari talente? Oare pentru ca este cea mai complexa si inteligenta muzica dintre toate? Sincer, nu inteleg toata antipatia pe care o au unii fata de genul asta de cantece, ori sunt prea limitati sa le inteleaga, ori pur si simplu nu le plac….desi nu pot concepe sa fii un om inteligent si sa nu apreciezi un astfel de gen. Mi-a mai trecut prin minte gandul ca poate am sa-i vad si in Romania vreodata….nu sunt fana a concertelor dar pentru diversitatea, spiritul si puterea cu care canta oamenii astia, m-as duce. Doar sa stiu ca am fost parte dintr-un asa proiect  grandios, muzica lor este balsam pentru suflet, si daca ai putina sensibilitate in tine recunosti ca e cea mai frumoasa. Dau la o parte sute de Aguilera si zeci de Mariah doar pentru vocea lui Sharon. Va las cu Somewhere…..Black simphony….luati aminte vedete de carton ce inseamna muzica live.

There are jobs that you fantasize about, the kind you know you could never actually get. In some cases, you know you could do them, but they would be so difficult to find that the farthest you go is daydreaming. Here are a few of mine.

Voice talent: Reading for audiobook recordings, animations. I could do so well at this, but then, the only way it would happen would be if I happened to know someone… then, there’s the even less likely one, singing for an animated film. I am a trained singer and I would do great things with this, but it’s too hard to get that type of job.

Frontwoman for a band: A metal band like Within Temptation would be the fantasy. Songs that not just anyone can sing, a recognizable band with something very unique about them (me!). Once again, I am a trained singer, so this kind of thing isn’t totally outside the realm of possibility. Here’s the catch: I would be willing to work hard once it was established, but I would only do something like this if it found me – essentially, it would have to fall into my lap.

Concept art: I would love to illustrate books, book covers, especially for fantasy books (because the covers can be so pretty…). Unfortunately I’m not really an artist. I have some raw talent and a little bit of schooling in art, but I never practiced my talent into skill, so I can’t really art that well. I come up with great conceptual images, though, and it can be difficult to get them across in writing, so I do wish I could draw/paint better…

TV-Critic: I could do just as well as anyone else at talking about movies on TV and how much I liked or didn’t like them. To be honest, I wouldn’t really want to, but I think it’s quite ridiculous to pay people so much to sit around and talk about movies. I don’t know how much they’re actually paid, but I bet it’s too much.

House/pet-sitter: In this scenario, I am paid to look after people’s houses and pets while they go away. These people pay me well, and I get to eat their food (although not all of it, obviously) and watch their tvs and sleep in comfy beds, play with their pets, and spend all the free time (because my job is house sitting) working on my writing. Also, I’d make tons of furry friends, and that would be awesome. I could have some regular clients, people who go away rather often and don’t want to leave their pets alone/in a kennel-like situation, and a slew of one-time customers. I think you can see why this one is a dream job…

Beeeeeeeentornati! Allora, questo gruppo ve l’ho già proposto stamattina, ma sono così bravi che non si può non riproporli nuovamente. Stranamente non sono i Green Day, visto che ultimamente ve li ho fatti ascoltare spessissimo. Sono i Within Temptation (ricordate Utopia, la canzone di stamattina?). Ecco quello che intendevo con ritmo un po’ più “forte”. Li ascoltiamo adesso in un live, e, signori e signore, ecco a voi The Howling. Sono i Within Temptation!

Have you ever been in a remotely similiar situation as this? For example, where you’re talking with someone you’ve just met and you get your iPod out, and so you ask them what kind of music they like. And they reply, “oh, lots. I like lots of different genres”. You give them your iPod, and they hate every single fricking song.

I honestly love all kinds of music. I’ve been getting into gothic metal (Evanescence, Within Temptation) over the past year, and I’ve also really liked stuff like Linkin Park, System of a Down etc. Nu Metal, I think the genre is?

Now, I’m starting to like British rap. There’s just something that I absolutely love about the London accent that rappers like Dizzee Rascal have. I pick up that accent really easily, I end up using it when I meet my second cousin.. I don’t really like any other rap, except for Eminem. His songs are actually entertaining y’know? You don’t have to be really into rap to enjoy them. Click more, for the music videos etc.
