Como muchos ya se habrán dado cuenta dese hace unos días ya está disponible para descarga en jw.org el nuevo volumen de canticos titulado Cantemos a Jehová. Esto para muchos ha sido toda una sorpresa, la cual nos ha llenado de gozo. Así que para quienes aun no descargan esta maravillosa joya musical les invito a que lo hagan del sitio oficial de WT, además han incluido en los archivos MP3 las letras de los canticos las cuales puedes ver en tu mismo reproductor de música mientras los escuchas. Solo hay que seguir unos sencillos pasos para que puedas ver las letras, a continuación tratare de explicar cómo hacerlo con Windows Media Player 11.

Lo primero es activar la función de subtítulos. Para esto en tu reproductor da un clic derecho en la barra de menos, tal y como se ve en la imagen de  la derecha. De la lista desplegable vamos a ir a Reproducir, después a Letras títulos y subtítulos y por último a Activar si está disponible.

Con esto ya podrás ver la letra de la melodía que estés reproduciendo (si la tiene disponible) como es el caso de los nuevos canticos. Sin embargo hay plugin que probablemente no tengas incorporado a tu reproductor por lo cual  quizas después de haber activado los subtítulos aun asi no puedas ver las letras. Si ese es tu caso solo tienes que descargarlo de esta web e instalarlo, es muy sencillo. Reinicias tu reproductor y listo.

Acredito que assim como eu, você deve ter muito vídeo, música e foto guardados no seu PC, e, algumas vezes, a gente quer acessar ele de outra máquina ou de outro dispositivo para assistir, ouvir ou mostrar algo pra alguém. O que eu fazia antes era criar uma pasta compartilhada e dar permissão de leitura para todo mundo, assim todos poderiam acessar os arquivos que tenho compartilhado no meu PC, é uma solução plausível e funciona muito bem caso somente PCs acessem seus arquivos.

Porém brincando um pouco com os dispositivos aqui em casa descobri que eles também conseguem acessar as coisas que “flutuam” por aí na minha rede interna, mas infelizmente o compartilhamento de arquivo não permitiria isso.

Foi aí que eu descobri que o Windows Media Player 11 possui uma funcionalidade muito legal (porém bem limitada) e simples para compartilhar arquivos, e, dependendo da forma como você pretende acessar esses arquivos, é mais que o suficiente.

Para ativar o compartilhamento de mídia através do WMP11 é bem simples, após abrí-lo abra o menu “Biblioteca” e clique em “Compartilhamento de Mídia…”

Na janela que abrir marque a opção “Compartilhar minha mídia” e clique em OK (opcionalmente você pode marcar “Localizar mídia compartilhada por outras pessoas” para permitir que o seu Media Player acesse os arquivos compartilhados pelos outros na rede)

Feito isso será aberta outra janela, nesta janela clique em “Configurações” e selecione os tipos de arquivo que deseja compartilhar por padrão, logo abaixo é exibido uma lista com os dispositivos que tentaram se conectar no seu PC, sendo que além de poder bloquear/aceitar um determinado dispositivo você pode também configurar o que você irá compartilhar com o mesmo.

Após configurar o compartilhamento da forma desejada basta clicar em “OK” e o Media Player irá compartilhar as mídias das libraries selecionadas por você com outros dispositivos, se tornando um servidor de streaming para os dispositivos que tentarem se conectar em seu PC.

NOTA: Depois que comecei a usar o PS3 como media center eu parei de utilizar o Media Player 11 para compartilhar vídeos, deixei a encargo do TVersity já que ele consegue fazer streaming de arquivos como MKV entre outros sem perda na qualidade, sem contar que é possível configurar legendas através dele.

Der neue Windows Media Player ist toll. Zumindest für Videos… Klar kam ich bisher mit dem MediaPlayerClassic auch immer super zurecht und bevorzugte ihn. Zwei Dinge störten mich aber immer:
Die alte Optik und die fehlende Medienbibliothek.

Nun habe ich mich mit dem Microsoft-Produkt aber gut angefreundet. Doch da stellt sich ein neues Problem: Microsoft hielt es ja generell nicht für nötig eine Möglichkeit zu integrieren AVI-Dateien abzuspielen. Doch selbst wenn man den Codec nachinstalliert hat gibt es Probleme: Falls das Video mehrere Tonspuren enthält, zum Beispiel im Falle von amerikanischen Fernsehserien mit originaler englischer und synchronisierter deutscher Tonspur. Es werden alle Spuren simultan abgespielt. Doch natürlich haben findige Entwickler auch da Abhilfe geschafft.

Der ffdshow-Dekoder ist quasi die eierlegende Wollmilchsau was Medienwiedergabe anbelangt. Damit läuft praktisch alles – auch die genannten AVI-Dateien. Nun stellt man noch in den Einstellungen “ffdshow Audio Decoder Configuration” unter “Stream switcher” die Option auf “Enable“.

So steht nun beim Abspielen einer Datei, beispielsweise mit dem Windows Media Player 11, unten rechts in der Startleiste, im so genannten Tray, die Möglichkeit zur Verfügung durch Rechtsklick auf das blaue FFA-Symbol die Sprache zu wechseln:

Follow these steps:

1. Install DFX Audio Enhancer and before clicking on the ‘Finish’ button of the setup,open the keygen.
2. Click on the Generate button.
3. A .reg file will be created in the folder. Double click on it.
4. Then click on the Finish button in the main setup.

So my brand new Xbox 360 had some issues connecting to my PC, and I couldn’t stream my media from my laptop to my Xbox for some reason. After fiddling around with it for a few hours I finally found a fix after a while of googling and going through my network settings. Anyways, this might help you if:

Symptoms:

• When you open up your WMP11 (be sure you’re using the latest version), you get a message saying “Media sharing is currently disabled, either because the service is not running or your firewall settings have changed. To restart sharing, you must first confirm your sharing settings.”
• Your pc recognizes the 360 but your 360 doesn’t recognize your pc.
• Your ‘Network Discovery’ (Start -> Control Panel (Classic View) -> Network and Sharing Center) is set to ‘Custom,’ rather than ‘On.’

This was the case for me, and hopefully this will help you out, after all it took me hours to get it fixed after sifting though countless confusing forum posts and help pages. Just remember, I’m running vista, so if you are running XP or lower, you maybe be able to get an idea of what to do based on these instructions but they may not be exact. Also be aware that these instructions are in-depth, this is to prevent confusion.

Fix:

1. Go to the Start menu, and click the bar that says ’start search.’ Type in “run” and press enter. You should get a result under programs, at the very top, simply called ‘run,’ click it.
2. In the text box, type in “Services.msc” (with the capital ’s’), a window called ‘Services’ should pop up. Look for ‘SSDP Discovery’ (the names should be alphabetical), once you find it right-click it and select ‘Properties.’ Change the startup type to ‘Automatic’, click ‘Start’ and then “OK.” Repeat this process for the ‘UPnP Device Host,’ ‘Computer Browser,’ and ‘Server’ services (if they are not already set to automatic and started).
3. Open your Network and Sharing Center (Start -> Control Panel (Classic View) -> Network and Sharing Center) and click the arrow beside ‘Network discovery,’ turn on the network discovery if it is not already on.

That should be all there is to it, there are some more common resolves for issues that are similar but different than this one so be sure all your symptoms are the same. Anyway, if you have any trouble feel free to comment, happy streaming!

Pretty long title for a good post. Well, at least I think it is a good post.

So after a couple o’ years of Windows Genuine DisAdvantage, Microsoft suddenly verified my Windows XP key as non-genuine, and declared me to be “a victim of software counterfeiting”.

And I wanted WMP11, which is a part of the so-called Windows Genuine Advantage, i.e Microsoft’s policy of providing good downloads only to Windows XP licensed copy buyers, not pirated versions.

So here’s how you can easily install WMP11 on your non-genuine Windows XP. Here’s what you need

1] The Windows Media Player executable. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT FROM MICROSOFT’S HOME PAGE. Get it from here, or here. If none of these work, Google for it, useless.

2] WinRAR. Get it from here.

3] Fifteen minutes [Actually, this depends on the speed of you internet connection, and the resources of your PC]

Here are the steps. Follow them in the exact order, after turning off your Internet Connection.

1] After you’ve downloaded Windows Media Player 11 from the given links, and also installed WinRAR, right-click on the executable i.e wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu, and click Extract to wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu/. This will only work if you have WinRAR installed. (I guess other archivers such as PeaZip might work as well, but you see, this is tried and tested]

2] After the extraction is done, open the wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu folder. You’ll see this big list of files. Ignore all, but the last two rows, which is full of icon-less executables.

3] Now, run the wmp11 file. Follow the procedure, and finish the install. Go to Start, All Programs, and click on Windows Media Player. You should now be greeted by these windows, which’ll make you feel WMP11 is already installed. Choose Custom Settings in this, click Next and…

… uncheck all the boxes in this, and click Next.

4] Now, you must see an error, telling you that the wrong version of WMP is here when something else was expected, or some crap like that. Click No, and go back to the wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu folder (which you saw in Step 2).

5] Install all the remaining executables, in the exact order I tell you (They’re all in the same order anyway):

1] umdf

2] WindowsXP-MSCompPackV1-x86

3] wmdbexport

4] wmfdist11

5] wmpappcompat

Installing all these should be easy, as all you have to do is click Next. One thing though, do check those boxes, which prompt you to restart Windows. Notice that I’ve left out wmp11, as you’ve already installed that.

6] Now, re-install wmp11, and re-do Step 3. Now…

… Ka-chow!

The VLC Media Player is an open source, cross-platform media client that supports the vast majority of media formats. One of the great features is that it supports skins that work across different platforms. This article will cover installing on both linux and windows.

You will first need to download the skin named WMP11 from the skins page. This skin looks a lot like Windows Media Player 11. It’s not exact, but it’s a pretty good skin.

To install on Ubuntu Linux:

Hit Alt+F2 to bring up the run dialog, and type in this:

vlc -I skins2

This will bring up the player in the right mode to let you install new skins. Right click on the title bar area and choose Select Skin \ Open Skin, and choose the skin file that you have downloaded.

That’s pretty much all there is to it.

To install on Windows:

Select the “VLC media player (skins)” option from the Start menu program group. This will start VLC in the right mode to select skins.

Right click on the title bar area, and choose Select skin \ Open skin and choose the skin file that you have downloaded.

Easy stuff. Now you have a great looking media player.

Update:Changed the article to point to the newer and better looking WMP11 skin instead of the Dalin one.

Obs: Serve Apenas no WMP11, não estou dizendo que anteriores não tem Suporte, estou dizendo, que o Próprio WMP11 tem suporte, sem precisar Baixar Nada, ou coisa do tipo.

Voltando, essa é uma Coisa MUITO Fácil! Mas acho que a Maioria não sabe: Trocar as Cores do Windows Media Player 11.

Então vamos Lá.

Facilmente. Abra o WMP11.
Vá na Setinha embaixo do “Em Execução”, ela está apontando para baixo.

Vá em Aprimoramentos>Seletor de Cores

Você irá para uma Seleção de Cores, A Matiz muda a cor, e a Saturação, muda a Escuridão da Cor e Saturação, como no Nome.

No caso, selecionei Um Verde clarinho, é bem bonito pra deixar no WMP11.

Agora Clique naquele “X” beeeeeeem pequeno no Lado, onde tem a Seta.

Pronto! Resultado:

O Meu, como eu disse, fica bom nessa Cor.. Mas não Muda Muito, da pra deixar cores que Mudam, como vermelho, laranja, amarelo.. Isso muda apenas as Cores bases. Não Muda transparência nem Nada.. Esta aí. Aproveite.

Pessoal o Windows MediaPlayer 11 como todo mundo já sabe tem uma das mais bonitas interfaces gráficas quando comparado à outros programas da Microsoft. E agora você pode ter a shellstyle do Explorer no estilo WMP, naquele tom Dark de Azul Marinho Ficou simplesmente perfeita!

Exclusivo para usuários do Windows Vista!

Instalando:
1º Baixe e extraia os arquivos zipados, escolha outro tema que não seja o que você vai mudar a shellstyle
2º Entre na pasta do tema que deseja aplicar a shellstyle (Geralmente C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\NOME DO TEMA\shell\)
3º Subtitua a shell existente por essa baixada

Desinstalando:
Faça o mesmo procedimento à cima, porém com a shell padrão do tema

Ele foi super bem feito e tem realmente a cara do Player da Microsoft com um toques de Vista, muito legal, e se tiver melhorias e algumas correções, poderá até passar na frente do famoso OBWMP11! Encontré cómo instalar WMP11 en Windows 2003 Server con éxito, sólo sigue estas sencillas instrucciones:

I found a fairly easy way to install WMP11 on 2003 w/SP2.

1. Extract the download executable (e.g., wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe) with WinZip or the equivalent.

2. Open the extracted folder and extract wmfdist11.exe and wmp11.exe to separate folders.

3. Run the compatibility wizard (start/Help and Support, search for “compatibility”, select “Getting older programs to run on the Windows Server 2003 family of products : Windows”

4. Click “Program Compatibility Wizard”

5. Choose locate the program manually

6. Browse to the update.exe in the extracted wmfdist11.exe folder (e.g., c:\wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu\wmfdist11\update\update.exe)

7. Choose XP compatibility and defaults for the rest of the screen.

8. Uncheck the restart now box.

9. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for the wmp11.

This worked on a machine that I just installed 2003 SP2 on via Windows Update, which cause my WMP10 to be uninstalled.
