This is her work outfit at David Jones. How funny, I noticed all the different textures simply because everything was black. Sometimes things work out better within strict restrictions.

She is a doctor of Chinese medicine and here I thought all people in medicine are boring. Oops. What a unique, fun yet subtle outfit!

Looks familiar? I see her often on my way to work and she has some fantastic outfits, shame I don’t always have my camera with me. Glad I caught her today.

Wow! She was quite tall, but that’s not the only reason she stood out from the crowd! This boyfriend’s shirt with not pants look is definitely getting popular and it works great on her, because she’s got great legs. My friend Tracey commented: “If I had legs like that, I would forego pants for life!!!” Oh yes… I would too.

What a great dress, I’m presuming it’s vintage, you certainly don’t see such well cut clothes on young girls these days.

She walked with great confidence, gave me a cute pose and had such a lovely smile. I wish more people I ask would pose a little instead of just stand there. But I don’t want to intrude or impart too much, after all it’s them, their outfits and their personalities that I want to capture.

This is a simple, elegant and romantic ensemble, works amazingly for her. But this is one of those instances, where she, this lady makes the outfit, the same outfit on someone else just wouldn’t work so well. So well done, for knowing and wearing what works best for herself.

I saw these two from across the street, I rushed over and said “Excuse me, hi girls…” The one on the left said “I’m a boy.” Oh god, how embarrassing, just wanted to dig a hole then.

They got matching haircuts, don’t they? I like his mix and match outfit, I like her dress and especially her cropped jacket. Cute!

I really like that dress, if I saw it in a shop I probably wouldn’t have considered it, but now I’m going to keep my eyes out for tie dyed stuff! The combo of the vest, hat and gladiators work a treat.

Bright, simple, summery, perfect.

Simple white shirt dress with contrasting black buttons, dark grey stockings, tan and black brogues, tortoiseshell sunglasses, this look is subtle but has many fashionable elements. I like the scarf tied on bag, she probably took it off as it was warm today.

I don’t want to focus too much on the “Harajuku” styled looks too much here on xssat, but I do like this outfit. The upside down smiley face dress, colourful plastic cutouts necklace, circle blush spots and the array of bangles, all just work together! Brilliant!

I wait for the day I’ll be brave enough to wear white pants… She looks great here though. Note the scarf over tshirt look which was huge in New York during summer, even on steaming hot days apparently. Let’s see if we’ll have the same here.

Very light, very refreshing and very spring. All the items she’s wearing are understated but you can tell they are well made and probably expensive. That light coat would be a great investment piece, it’ll carry you right from winter to spring and autumn and maybe even a summer night, I need something like that.

I love this Marimekko like bold pattern, great cut, nice length, almost perfect. Once again I’m not sure about her shoes, a bit of a let down. Though they are beige so don’t appear obvious anyway.

A very pretty dress, the zig zag hem is different. The yellow shoes, though bright as well, goes nicely with the dress.

I’ve been looking out for women who wears long skirts or maxi dresses, it’s certainly an upcoming trend that will hit Sydney big this summer, but it doesn’t seem easy to carry it off well. Most dresses I’ve seen so far on people aren’t nice and flowing, some have dreadful patterns. I personally have been thinking about getting a mid shin length skirt but I simply can’t think of how to make it work with my existing wardrobe. Tricky!

Great little dress, simple, summery, perfect for a sunny day like today. But are those birkenstocks? Not too keen on them, a pair of gladiator sandals would’ve made the outfit for me. What do you think?

Great contrasting colours, I spotted her from a mile away. The simplicity of the dress and the accessories make the outfit work.

I like the way she wears the pink jeans with ease and casualness. I haven’t seen many coloured jeans on people that I like, but this look works. The bangles are a nice touch.
