Hoje almocei digerindo esta noticia e pensei: se eu ainda estivesse a escrever no blog… acho que sairia algo mais ou menos assim:

“Já pensou como seria um mundo onde Henrys arriscassem a deixar seu país fora da Copa, assumindo ao árbitro o fazer de algo que  não é permitido, cancelando assim o lance que originou o gol da classificação? Será que a França ficaria mesmo de fora? Não sabemos…

Entretanto, lembrando-me do impacto das possibilidades quânticas do What Bleep Do We Know, da Teoria dos Jogos e do filosófico Dilema dos Prisioneiros, fico a imaginar o que aconteceria se Thierry Henry acusa-se a falta naquele momento. Certamente não saberiamos se seria gol (como agora já sabemos que foi), mas que efeitos poderiam existir se a cooperação com o árbitro e as regras do jogo fossem mais valorizadas do que o fazer do gol não importa como? Quem seria o derrotado e quem seriam os vencedores? 

Ao ler a reportagem de hoje fiquei a pensar se Henry é realmente aquilo que os Britânicos cultuam como um gentleman. O que vejo ali é um sujeito muito honesto mas que só assumiu seus erros APÓS a definição do lance e do jogo. Ou seja, quando o admitir da infranção tem a escala de 1% de mudar e 99% de continuar tudo como esta. Muito bravo este Henry!

Todos nós sabemos que levar a bola com a mão no futebol é um ato ilegal, assim como já sabemos que as câmeras e lentes de TV são “olhos julgadores” que, aliados à internet, funcionam como a vizinha fofoqueira que espalha a notícia em questão de segundos. Thierry é um jogador diferenciado e portanto sabe de tudo isto também, mas perdeu uma ótima chance de ter se tornado um humano espetacular e servir de referência para a história de um mundo e um futebol melhor. 

Entretanto, a mim também chama atenção ler que, ao final do jogo, após o apito do árbitro (sempre ele), sentados em campo infrator vencedor e adversário derrotado assim se comunicam: “ coloquei a mão na bola, mas eu não sou o arbitro” / “é você não é o árbitro”. 

Pronto, problema resolvido. Ambos são vítimas, a culpa é do árbitro!

O árbitro é aquele sujeito que junto com outros dois ou três auxiliares deve monitorar as atitudes e comportamentos dos 22 em campo e mais outros tantos no seu entorno. Ou então, aquele arrogante com apito na boca cuja funcionalidade se transveste em ser uma entidade divina e soberana, com a função de a tudo olhar, a todos vigiar, julgar, abitrar e decidir. Claro que sendo sempre justo, agradando a gregos e troianos e o mais importante, SEM ERRAR.

Tudo bem que os 22 que entram em campo estão lá também para levar vantagem e desdenhar desta aparente perfeição que engloba ser árbitro. E tudo bem também que é justamente por isto que os 22 em campo precisam de um árbitro, já que os próprios, mesmo conhecendo as regras, não são capazes de se auto-arbitrarem.  Mas está cada vez mais difícil de aceitar que quando o árbitro erra, porque definitivamente ele é humano e talvez o que mais sofre no jogo,  a realidade seja algo a ser distorcido. Quando a lei é falha a decisão está vem para as nossas mãos, mas continuamos a optar por pensar no umbigo e sempre levar vantagem.

Mas seria esta uma vantagem real? Ao longo prazo?  O que ela propaga? O que reforça? Que mensagem passamos?

CHEATING WORKS! 

E assim, sem perceber começamos a enganar antes de tudo a nós mesmos, a acreditar em nossas mentiras e a emitir declarações como esta do ”arrependido” Thierry Henry. Ficamos cego para o que sabemos que é certo e indo mais longe em minha imaginação quantica criamos uma ordem na qual, para tudo que for importante para mim, cheatting is good!

Mas seria esta sombra a nossa real inimiga? Ou é esta parte que não queremos notar em nós mesmos, que emerge em situações como esta para nos dizer que o que negamos é fundamental para nossa evolução, uma aliada?

É certo que Henry continuaria nos telejornais e noticiarios se tivesse parado o lance, levantado a mão e acusado a falta? Talvez a França e mesmo ele deixassem de ir a Africa, talvez ele fosse citado em clubes onde crianças começam a jogar, em cursos onde treinadores são formados, em salas de aulas onde professores ensinam e lares onde pais educam . Talvez muitos o julgariam um traidor da pátria, um imbecil utópico. Não sei, ainda não estou bem certa do que aconteceria a seguir, mas tenho a certeza que repetições de gestos ainda tão improváveis trariam ao longo da escala do tempo grandes ensinamentos e nos inspiraria a um mundo diferente em relação aos valores e escohas que hoje fazemos.

Enfim, sempre penso que se nada mudou é porque o planeta ainda não está assim tão ruim, somos capazes de sofrer mais um pouco e continuar a nos iludir com este movimento de atribuir ou jogar a responsabilidade no outro,  na entidade, seja ela o árbitro, o governo ou a divindade. 

Até ontem sempre tive dúvidas quanto o uso de câmeras e replays na arbitragem, e pensava que talvez a FIFA não muda-se as regras para não alterar a quimica milionária existente entre futebol e torcedor. Hoje, porém, estou convicta de que nada deve mudar que não a própria conduta e comportamento das principais peças do jogo.

Agora, resta saber se o ato deste experiente jogador de 32 anos repercutirá nos veículos de comunicação e será motivo de discussão intelectual, julgamentos e ameaças, tanto quanto tem sido as ações da garota sub-20 americana.  Para o L´Equipe francês este foi um lance da “Mão de Deus”. Enfim, cada um tem o Deus que merece.

He did it again! Maradona ’s rant to the media after Argentina’s win vs Uruguay (the score was 1-0) was such a memorable, yet very familiar moment as well .  This time, Maradona faces a five-game suspension and a $19,700 fine from the FIFA disciplinary committee for his remarks. I am probably not the only person in the world that wished Maradona had walked away from the Argentinian national team, because of his questionable managerial skills and squad selections. But now he is nowhere from leaving and he just might be the person leading Argentina to the WC2010. oh, i can’t wait…

Cidades disputam vaga para ser sede da Copa 2014

A Copa do Mundo de 2014 no Brasil terá uma etapa decisiva no domingo, quando a Fifa anuncia as 12 cidades vencedoras entre as 17 interessadas em receber partidas do Mundial, o segundo no país.

Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre e Brasília certamente estarão na lista a ser anunciada pelo presidente da Fifa, Joseph Blatter, nas Bahamas.

Salvo uma grande surpresa, a disputa pelas outras subsedes será regionalizada, uma vez que a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) pediu à Fifa que leve o Mundial a todas as regiões do país.

Campo Grande e Cuiabá disputam para ser a subsede do Pantanal; Manaus, Belém e Rio Branco estão na briga pela subsede da Amazônia; Florianópolis e Curitiba querem ser a segunda cidade do Sul ao lado de Porto Alegre; Fortaleza, Natal e Recife tentam se unir a Salvador no Nordeste, enquanto Goiânia teria o prejuízo de ser perto demais da capital Brasília.
O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva já afirmou repetidas vezes que aguarda apenas a definição das cidades para iniciar o Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (PAC) da Copa do Mundo, que destinará bilhões de reais em recursos para a infraestrutura.
A seguir, um breve resumo das 17 cidades concorrentes, seus estádios propostos para o Mundial de 2014 e seus principais times de futebol.
* RIO DE JANEIRO
População: 6 milhões. O Rio fez campanha para ser palco da final da Copa do Mundo de 2014. Sede da decisão da Copa de 1950, a única realizada no país até agora, a cidade tem um grande apelo esportivo. Foi sede dos Jogos Pan-Americanos de 2007, e também está entre as quatro finalistas na disputa para sediar a Olimpíada de 2016.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Maracanã. O ex-maior estádio do mundo precisará passar por novas reformas para se adequar ao padrão da Fifa. As obras estão previstas para começar ainda este ano. A capacidade atual, após as obras para o Pan-2007, é de 92.000 torcedores sentados.
TIMES: Quatro clubes dividem a preferência do torcedor carioca, sendo o Flamengo o de maior torcida. O “rubro-negro” é cinco vezes campeão brasileiro e conquistou em 2009 seu 31o título estadual, um a mais que o Fluminense. Vasco e Botafogo são as outras potências esportivas da cidade. Juntos, o quarteto Vasco, “Fla”, “Flu” e “Bota” soma 11 títulos brasileiros desde o primeiro campeonato, em 1971.
Além do Maracanã, palco de todos os clássicos da cidade, o Rio tem outros dois estádios importantes: São Januário, do Vasco, com capacidade para 18 mil torcedores, e o novíssimo Engenhão, para 45 mil torcedores, que foi construído pela prefeitura para o Pan-2007 e depois alugado para o Botafogo.
* SÃO PAULO
População: 11 milhões. Centro financeiro do país, São Paulo recebe brasileiros e estrangeiros que trabalham e vivem na cidade. Tem uma variedade enorme de restaurantes e hotéis, e é um pólo cultural. É candidata a receber o jogo de abertura da Copa. É a cidade mais populosa do país.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Morumbi, construído em 1960, será totalmente reformulado para o Mundial e terá capacidade para cerca de 69 mil torcedores.
TIMES: Corinthians, São Paulo e Palmeiras dividem as atenções dos torcedores na cidade, que tem também a Portuguesa. O Santos, da cidade litorânea de mesmo nome, possui muitos fãs na capital paulista. Conhecido como ‘trio de ferro’, os três primeiros somam 14 títulos brasileiros. O Corinthians, o mais popular, é o primeiro campeão do Mundial da Fifa; o São Paulo é tricampeão mundial e o Palmeiras possui uma Libertadores.
* BELO HORIZONTE
População: 2,4 milhões. Seu parque produtivo é um dos cinco maiores da América do Sul, com destaque para a indústria automobilística e de autopeças, siderurgia, eletroeletrônica e construção civil.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Mineirão, que será remodelado. Dentre as obras necessárias para a modernização estão o rebaixamento do gramado e extinção da “geral”, aumento da capacidade dos setores de imprensa e aumento do número de vagas no estacionamento.
TIMES: Atlético Mineiro e Cruzeiro protagonizam um duelo de muita rivalidade. O Galo é o primeiro campeão brasileiro, em 1971, enquanto a Raposa tem dois títulos de Libertadores: 1976 e 1997.
* PORTO ALEGRE
População: 1,4 milhão. É considerada uma das cidades com melhor qualidade de vida no Brasil. Seus indicadores são favoráveis nos principais índices de desenvolvimento humano: saúde, saneamento básico, educação, meio ambiente e economia.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Beira-Rio, que será modernizado e terá a capacidade para cerca de 60 mil torcedores.
TIMES: Possui dois clubes tradicionais e centenários: o Grêmio e o Internacional. Ambos já conquistaram títulos da Copa Libertadores e do Mundial. O primeiro é campeão brasileiro por duas vezes e o segundo é tricampeão.
* CURITIBA
População: 1,8 milhão. É uma das cidades mais desenvolvidas do país, com altos índices de educação.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Kyocera Arena, que será reformado e terá sua capacidade aumentada de 25.415 para 41.293 pessoas. As obras de ampliação começaram em 2008 e a previsão para conclusão é em 2011.
TIMES: Atlético Paranaense, Coritiba e Paraná Clube são os clubes mais importantes da cidade, aparecendo cada vez mais no cenário nacional.
* FLORIANÓPOLIS
População: 450 mil. Florianópolis é uma cidade turística e aposta em seus atrativos como praias, ecoturismo, estrutura hoteleira e gastronômica, além da segurança. A cidade tem os menores índices de criminalidade entre as capitais brasileiras.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Arena Florianópolis, a ser construído com iniciativa privada no local onde hoje é o Orlando Scarpelli, com capacidade para 41.700 mil pessoas. A construção está prevista para ser iniciada em janeiro de 2010.
TIMES: os principais são o Avaí, recém-promovido à primeira divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro, e o Figueirense, que caiu no ano passado para a Série B.
* BRASÍLIA
População: 200 mil. Capital do país, Brasília é uma cidade planejada e em 1987 foi tombada pela Unesco como patrimônio histórico e cultural da humanidade.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Mané Garrincha, que será reformado e terá sua capacidade aumentada de 60 mil para cerca de 76 mil pessoas.
TIMES: Gama e Brasiliense têm pouca tradição no cenário nacional. Em 2002, o Brasiliense chegou a ser vice-campeão da Copa do Brasil.
* GOIÂNIA
População: 1,2 milhão. Substituiu em 1933 a antiga capital, Cidade de Goiás. Distante 200 quilômetros de Brasília, Goiânia disputa uma das vagas com a favorita capital federal. A cidade foi tombada em 2003 pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Iphan) por suas construções em estilo art déco das décadas de 1940 e 50.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Serra Dourada. A arena foi construída em 1975 e sofreu uma pequena reforma em 2005. Hoje tem a capacidade de receber 50 mil pagantes e é o maior e mais conhecido da cidade. Possui um estacionamento com 10 mil vagas, cujo número cairá para 6 mil com o projeto de reforma para o Mundial.
TIMES: Os times mais importantes sediados na cidade fazem tímida campanha nos campeonatos nacionais. O Vila Nova, Atlético Goianiense — vencedor da série C no ano passado — e o Goiânia estão hoje na segunda divisão. O Goiás é o único clube de futebol da capital que se encontra na primeira divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro.
* SALVADOR
População: 2,8 milhões. Primeira capital do Brasil, é a maior cidade da Região Nordeste e um dos principais destinos turísticos do país. Fundada em 1549 após desembarque da armada portuguesa, a cidade foi a capital brasileira até 1763 e recebeu Dom João e a corte portuguesa em 1808 quando estes fugiram das investidas de Napoleão na Europa.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Fonte Nova. O estádio do Bahia, interditado desde a queda de parte da arquibancada em 2007 que resultou na morte de oito pessoas, será totalmente reformado caso a cidade seja escolhida. A nova capacidade será de 55 mil torcedores. As obras não foram iniciadas, e a previsão de conclusão é 2012.
TIMES: Bahia e Vitória são os times que dominam o futebol da Bahia, apesar de apenas o Vitória estar atualmente na 1a divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro. Campeão nacional em 1988, o Bahia está atualmente na Série B, tendo inclusive passado pela 3a divisão. O Vitória, vice-campeão brasileiro em 1993, tem 25 títulos estaduais, ante 43 do Bahia.
* RECIFE
População: 1,5 milhão. Localizada entre outras duas cidades que podem receber jogos do Mundial de 2014: Salvador e Fortaleza. Também situada no litoral do Nordeste, tem no turismo a força de sua economia.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Cidade da Copa. O novo estádio, cujas obras ainda não foram iniciadas, tem capacidade prevista para 45.500 pessoas e previsão de conclusão para 2011.
TIMES: Sport e Náutico fazem de Pernambuco o único Estado do Nordeste com dois representantes na 1a divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro. Os dois dividem ainda uma grande rivalidade regional com Santa Cruz, que atualmente está na Série D. O Sport é o campeão brasileiro de 1987 reconhecido pela CBF — apesar de o Flamengo ter vencido o torneio nacional com os principais times do país. Nas conquistas estaduais, o Sport lidera com 38, ante 24 do Santa Cruz e 21 do Náutico.
* NATAL
População: 800 mil habitantes. A capital do Rio Grande do Norte é mais uma a apostar em seu atrativo turístico — principalmente as praias — para convencer a Fifa a escolhê-la para ser uma das 12 subsedes da Copa do Mundo. Natal alega ser a capital nordestina com melhor infraestrutura hoteleira, com cerca de 22.000 quartos já prontos.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Arena das Dunas. Com capacidade para 45 mil torcedores, o novo estádio seria erguido sobre o atual Machadão, de propriedade da prefeitura. Para o projeto, Natal contratou um escritório de arquitetura internacional especializado na construção de arenas esportivas nos EUA e na Inglaterra, incluindo a recente reforma de Wembley e o Emirates Stadium, do Arsenal. As obras só serão iniciadas se a cidade for escolhida. A previsão de conclusão é 2012.
TIMES: O América é o time de Natal de maior sucesso no cenário nacional, tendo disputado a 1a divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro pela última vez em 2007. O ABC é o maior campeão do RN, com 49 conquistas, ante 32 do América. Atualmente as duas equipes disputam a Série B do Brasileiro.
* FORTALEZA
População: 2,4 milhões de habitantes. A campanha de Fortaleza para ser escolhida uma das 12 subsedes da Copa de 2014 defende a localização geográfica privilegiada da capital cearense, a 6h30 da Europa e dos EUA e a 4h30 da África, de acordo com os organizadores. Assim como as outras capitais nordestinas, é um importante destino turístico tanto para brasileiros como para estrangeiros.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: Castelão. 60 mil pessoas. Construído em 1973, o estádio passou por reformas em 1980 e 2000. Segundo os organizadores da campanha da cidade, o Castelão atende 81 por cento das recomendações da Fifa e seriam necessários 42 milhões de reais para adequá-lo completamente às exigências para o Mundial.
TIMES: Fortaleza e Ceará, arquirivais que dividem a torcida da cidade, estão atualmente na Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, e têm tradição de levar bons públicos a seus jogos. Na disputa estadual, há um enorme equilíbrio: 39 títulos para o alvinegro Ceará e 38 para o tricolor Fortaleza.
* CAMPO GRANDE
População: 1 milhão. Disputa com Cuiabá para ser uma das prováveis subsedes do Pantanal no Mundial. O Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, na região Centro-Oeste, do qual a cidade é a capital, faz fronteira com Bolívia e Paraguai. A questão ambiental, em especial o Pantanal, é o ponto principal da campanha de Campo Grande.
ESTADIO DE 2014: Morenão. O estádio universitário, que fica a 8 quilômetros do aeroporto, precisará passar por uma grande modernização se a cidade for escolhida pela Fifa. A capacidade ficará em 44.355 mil torcedores. A cidade firmou parceira com uma empresa portuguesa que fez alguns estádios da Eurocopa de 2004 para a reforma, que tem custo estimado de 500 milhões de reais.
TIMES: Operário, Cene e Comercial são os maiores clubes da cidade, mas têm pouca representação nacional. As equipes disputam um prolongado campeonato estadual, uma vez que não estão classificadas para disputarem nenhuma das 3 primeiras divisões do Campeonato Brasileiro.
* CUIABÁ
População: 500 mil. Disputa uma das vagas destinadas à região do Pantanal. O carro-chefe da campanha de Cuiabá por uma das vagas para a Copa de 2014 é a natureza do Estado, que conta com quatro ecossistemas: Pantanal, Cerrado, o Vale do Araguaia e a Amazônia.
ESTÁDIO DE 2014: José Fragelli – Verdão. Construído em 1974, o estádio mais conhecido como Verdão, possui um projeto para que seja totalmente remodelado até 2012. A capacidade atual é de 40 mil pessoas e, com a reforma, passará para 48 mil pessoas. Estima-se que a reforma custará 350 milhões de reais.
TIMES: O clube com atividade mais intensa da capital é o Mixto. Rebaixado para a terceira divisão em 2008, o time é o mais popular da cidade. Este ano disputou a Copa do Brasil, por ter sido vencedor no campeonato estadual, mas foi eliminado na primeira fase da competição.
* RIO BRANCO
População: 290 mil. Aposta numa candidatura verde para a Copa de 2014. Outro argumento da capital é a boa localização do Estado, que faz fronteira com a Bolívia e o Peru e ainda se localiza no centro da pan-Amazônia. Até o início do século 20, todo o território do Acre pertencia à Bolívia. Em 1903 o país vizinho vendeu as terras para o Brasil.
ESTÁDIO PARA 2014: Arena da Floresta. Inaugurado em 2006, tem capacidade atual de 14 mil pessoas e será expandido para 42 mil em caso de a cidade receber jogos da Copa. De acordo com o governo estadual, a primeira etapa do estádio já está concluída seguindo os padrões da Fifa.
TIMES: O homônimo Rio Branco é o time de maior expressão da capital. Venceu o último campeonato estadual e por consequência participou da edição deste ano da Copa do Brasil. Mas amarga a terceira divisão do Campeonato Brasileiro. A capital ainda abarca mais quatro times: Atlético Acreano, Independência, Juventus e Vasco da Gama.
* MANAUS
População: 1,6 milhão. É bastante conhecida pelo ecoturimo amazônico. Manaus possui o 7o maior PIB do país e concentra boa parte das atividades econômicas do Estado. Manaus também faz campanha para uma das vagas para a Copa com o enfoque na conservação ambiental e no ecoturismo. O Estado do Amazonas tem vantagem de fazer fronteira com a Venezuela, Peru e Colômbia, mas a preocupação ecológica é o principal argumento de campanha de uma das cidades mais antigas do país, fundada em 1832.
ESTÁDIO PARA 2014: Vivaldão. Reinaugurado em fevereiro de 2007 após reformas, hoje tem capacidade para 52 mil pessoas. Para a Copa do Mundo de 2014 será reformado e, com isso, comportará 60 mil pessoas. O projeto de expansão da arena tem custo estimado de 500 milhões de reais.
TIMES: Dos oito clubes amazonenses que constam no ranking de clubes da CBF, 6 são da capital: América Amazonense, Rio Negro, São Raimundo, Sulamérica, Nacional e Fast Club. Nenhum time de futebol do Amazonas vai além da série C do Campeonato Brasileiro.
* BELÉM
População: 1,4 milhão. A segunda maior cidade do Norte do país disputa diretamente com Manaus e Rio Branco para ser subsede da Copa de 2014. Como as concorrentes, a campanha da cidade para ser uma das sedes da copa apela para o ecoturismo. Grandes construções portuguesas dos séculos 17 e 18 estão bem preservadas na cidade. Possui o melhor Índice de Desenvolvimento Humano da região Norte.
ESTÁDIO PARA 2014: Estádio estadual jornalista Edgar Campos Proença. Mais conhecida como Mangueirão, a arena foi construída em 1971 e reinaugurada em 2002 após reforma. Hoje é o estádio da região Norte que comporta mais lugares, cerca de 43 mil. Precisa passar por reformas.
TIMES: Os times tradicionais e mais conhecidos da capital são o Paysandu e o Remo. O primeiro conseguiu se classificar para a série C do campeonato brasileiro deste ano, mas o Remo não.

Os explico:

Son barras que se colocan en la parte superior de la pantalla de nuestro ordenador. Cada 10-15 segundos tienes un anuncio nuevo, por  lo que resulta bastante económico y prospero, ya que es un flujo continuo. El límite lo marcas tú, quiero decir, tú eres el que dictas cuanto tiempo tienes encendido el ordenador. En cualquier caso, también es cierto que las barras cuando no detectan actividad se paran, pero os recomiendo un programa que se llama  “XuMouse”, que sirve para mover el ratón cada 5-10 segundos, y realmente funciona, por lo que lo puedes dejar encendido toda la noche y corriendo la cuenta.

También son sistemas que funcionan con referidos 1 a 1 es decir, lo que ganan ellos también te lo suman a ti en su totalidad. También tiene un sistema de envío de emails a tu dirección de correo, por lo que están en todo.

NRL: Souths clash is showcase for Kiwis

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will field six New Zealand-bred players against the Warriors at Mt Smart on Sunday, clear evidence of the increasing talent the Kiwis can call upon for tests.

The Auckland club will mark the passing of rising star Sonny Fai who had friends in both camps, some of the Rabbitohs already playing with the wristbands the Warriors produced to commemorate Fai’s disappearance at Bethells Beach on January 4.

Along with the national team captain Roy Asotasi who is sure to resume that leadership after missing the World Cup with a pectoral injury, the Souths side named yesterday includes Kiwis certainties Isaac Luke at hooker and lock David Fa’alogo, along with former Kiwi David Kidwell and Eddy Pettybourne off the bench.

Luke was in the Junior Kiwis with Fai in 2004. When he scored against Newcastle last weekend he looked to the sky and made an “F” with his fingers.

Fai had played against Pettybourne. And Kidwell and Fa’alogo knew him because he was seconded to the Kiwis as a future international, such was his talent.

The injured Brent Tate’s place at centre goes to Patrick Ah Van after his try-scoring feats for the Auckland Vulcans in the opening games of the New South Wales premier league.

Jones starts and Nathan Fien goes to the bench as halfback cover and relief for Ian Henderson at hooker and dummy-half in the only other change from the side beaten by the Broncos.

Souths welcome back their elusive fullback Rhys Wesser from injury and speedy wing Nathan Merritt after a one-game suspension but are otherwise unchanged after coming from 12-0 down to score 22 unanswered points for victory over Newcastle.

On January 29th, Soccer by Ives correspondent Sulaiman Folarin wrote an article on Freddy Adu’s concerning lack of minutes at Monaco. Here are some highlights:

Loan deals are done most times for players to get experience and playing time. Manchester United sent Tim Howard to Everton and the Toffees eventually signed the American numero uno.

Agreed. But let’s not forget that Tim Howard was 27 years old, played 45 games for Manchester United (not to mention his 85 with the MetroStars), had Champions League experience, won the Community Shield and FA Cup, and was named to the PFA Best XI in 2004–the numero uno keeper in the Premier League with his 1.0 gaa and 177 saves. Freddy’s credentials are nowhere near that level.

Regarding potential moves that might help Adu re-vitalize his career:

I don’t necessarily think a move to either club would be a bad idea, but I have to point out the flaw in logic here. Soccer by Ives (Ives Galarcep, in particular) has been pretty critical of Freddy Adu’s defensive abilities. Apparently the solution to this problem is to send the kid to a league that averages the most goals-per-game of any in Europe (of the major leagues, at least). In fact, Holland’s 2.98 gpg is nearly a full goal more than France’s 2.23 and Portugal’s 2.10. I have to question what this league would do to strengthen Adu’s “shaky defense.”

VERDICT: I don’t completely disagree with Sulaiman’s point. I can’t pretend that 2008 (or 2009, so far) has been a successful year for Freddy. I can’t pretend I didn’t expect him to get more playing time at Monaco. But I don’t think Freddy needs to do anything drastic. Above all else, he needs to pick a team and stick with it for two years (don’t leave on loan again). Let’s not forget that Clint Dempsey struggled for minutes in his first year at Fulham. If Adu doesn’t see significantly more clock by the end of his second season with his next club (age 21 or so), then, perhaps, we should start to freak out. But for now, everyone needs to settle down.

By the way, it’s ironic that the same US fans that criticize Adu for his bad attitude and poor work ethic also think he’s entitled to a spot on a mid-table French team’s roster. If you honestly believe Adu has a bad attitude (he has seen a reduction in minutes over time at both Benfica and Monaco, so this theory isn’t entirely unreasonable), isn’t batting for playing time exactly what this kid needs for his growth and development?

One side note: I know Sulaiman’s article was only a blog post, but is a little editing too much to ask? I’m not here to play grammar police, but this post was a little tough to read.

I really was waiting this day for a long time and I was very exited about it. It’s was Tomita-san’s last performance!

OK, the first event of the night was Men’s Vault.

The Gold was token by the Olympic Silver medalist  Thomas Bouhail FRA. He had the highest level of difficulty 7.0. Even if he did a big step on reception on his first jump he managed to maintain his first position. His final score 16.225 and GOLD for France.

Jeffrey Wammes NED was very close to the gold medal but got silver with a final score of 16.150. He executed better but the difficulty was 6.6.

Anton Golotsutskov RUS confirmed his bronze Olympic medal for vault and was third at the World Cup too. His final score 16.075.

As you can see there isn’t a big difference of points, so the competition was very high!

WOMEN’S BEAM

Lauren Mitchell, AUS did great and got Gold. She was very appreciated by the public! Her score: 15.250

Elfin Yulia Lozhechko RUS showed a good routine, with a higher difficulty but not executed very clean. 15.200 and silver for her.

LI Shanshan CHN Oympic Team Champion, saved a medal for China after Cheng Fei fell very unexpected. But she keep smiling Anyway 15.150 for LI and Bronze for China.

Sandra IZBASA saved some of difficulty and was 4th.  Daniele Hypolito also fell and was quite unsure, and was just 8th.

MEN’S P.BARS

This event made my heart burst and stop. I was looking forward to see Tomita-san’s performance and was very sad that he was 6th. I don’t know what happened, I think he was just too nervous. It was one visible hesitation during the exercise, and didn’t managed to concentrate on his landing. He made a big step His teammate Yosuke Hoshi fell from the apparatus. They both shared the same result 14.875.

And now let’s get to the medalists, very surprising but we have two Gold medals and one bronze.

1. Yann Cucherat FRA and Feng Zhe CHN shared the first place with 15.775. Both showed good exercises but not perfect.

3. Valery Goncharov UKR got bronze with 15.675. He must be admired for his result at a age of 31.

China took her revenge after Beijing Olympics and took the lead. Cheng Fei CHN took Gold with 15.375.  Her teammate Jiang Yuyan took silver with 15.225. The Olympic Gold medalist Sandra Izbasa was third. Her score- 15.000. All of them performed well, but it all depended on the clean executions!

MEN’S HIGH BAR

Another event I was looking forward too. It was tough with falls and obvoius mistakes. It was the last performence for Hiroyuki Tomita and Christoph Schaerer since they both retire ather this competiton.

The star of the night was Epke Zonderland NED. Great routine, very impressive, with the highest difficulty score 6.90. He had the highest score of his life 16.175 and really deserved his GOLD medal.

Silver went to Australian Philippe Rizzo who seams to fully recover after his injury. Showed a beautiful exercise and got 15.825

Bronze goes to ….YES Hiroyuki Tomita! I’m so happy he concluded his carrier with a medal! He showed a perfect routine except the landing! It was very beautiful and elegant even breathtaking. He landed bad, even touched the mat with his hands(almost the same mistake like during the Olympics). Anyway I was very impressed and I thank Tomita-san very much!

I should also mention that Schaerer fell when executing a full twisting Jager. It’s a pity since it’s also his last. Igor Cassina was even more unlucky he fell twice. He first missed his Kovach and didn’t recover after that, and he fell another time. I feel sorry for him since he was 4th in Beijing, and also fell. But he was supported by his fans anyway!

So that’s it. The 14 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup has ended.i

AUSTRALIA 30 – 6 NEW ZEALAND

0 mins: The Kiwis kick off and start at a real intensity. Australia still manage to kick the ball dead through the in-goal.

3 mins: Australia are nicely mixing up one-up hits with long spreading passing moves. Lockyer puts a high bounce and NZ let it hit the ground, but it bounces dead.

6 mins: Australia start offloading at will the put Inglis down the left channel on the 5th, but he drops the ball.

7 mins: Oops! Nathan Fien kicks the ball straight out. The ‘roos get a scrum in midfield.

8 mins: PENALTY Johnathan Thurston

That scrum is quickly followed by a penalty for interference. Australia decide to take the kick and Thurston slots it over.

AUS 2 – 0 NZ

12 mins: Oooh. Australia start spreading the ball wide again, and as Paul Gallen cuts back in he receives a nice serving of forearm from Steve Matai. Australia choose to run this time.

14 mins: TRY Greg Inglis CONVERSION Thurston

Australia lay siege on the Kiwis try line, and to start with the defence seems up to the task. However Matai misses a tackle on Inglis and he waltzes in for a try. Thurston adds a touchline conversion.

AUS 8 – 0 NZ

18 mins: Thurston nearly pulls off his patented Sho’N'Go, but the pass to Glenn Stewart is knocked on.

20 mins: NZ waste an attacking set with a terrible Fein grubber kick.

22 mins: Fein gives away a penalty for a high tackle. The Kiwis really need to calm down with their discipline. Oh look, the next tackle sees them concede a penalty for ball-stealing.

24 mins: New Zealand get lucky as a sweeping left to right passing move sees Folau dive over the line, only for him to drop the ball under pressure from good scrambling defence.

26 mins TRY Sika Manu CONVERSION Steve Matai

Benji gets involved in the game at last, putting an inside ball to Sika Manu who walks in through some pretty lacklustre attempts at tackling from the Kangaroos. A try out of nothing really, but that’s New Zealand’s only real attempt at an attack so far. Matai puts over the easy conversion.

AUS 8 – 6 NZ

29 mins: TRY Joel Monaghan CONVERSION Thurston

Australia again work space down the flank, and Monaghan just finds enough room to go over, despite the attentions of Matai and Blair. The video ref is call on, but he cannot make a call and gives it back to the ref. He decides to give the try.

AUS 14 – 6 NZ

33 mins: Hmm. The Kiwis put a move on close to the Aussie line, adn with the defenders closing in Perrett puts in a grubber which goes off Slater and into touch. The ref gives head and feed to Australia, claiming the ball played the man. No so sure myself.

37 mins: Australia again stretch the Kiwis, but Slater’s pass to an open Brent Tate is miles forward and knocked on anyway.

39 mins: Australia and New Zealand take it in turns to knock the ball on whilst attacking from midfield, and that takes us to the break.

HALF TIME: Australia 14 – 6 New Zealand

Well, it’s been pretty much one way traffic so far, and Australia have looked mildly threatening without ver quite breaking away. New Zealand will not be happy with that first-half performance, but they won’t mind only being eight points behind. This game really could do with one team upping the intensity. The Kiwis need to keep their focus and avoid silly mistakes, particularly disciplinary ones.

40 mins: The game restarts. The Kiwis seem to be throwing it wider.

42 mins: Australia nearly break down the right, only for Folau to throw a stupid pass which luckily for him lands with Slater eventually. The ball goes out left and Lockyer makes a nice break and nearly puts Inglis away, but Perrett proves equal to the task. Australia then drop the ball on the line.

44 mins: Marshall puts in a grubber kick from his 40, and Thurston covers but receives a tackle from Hohaia for his troubles. The Kiwis are getting more tricky.

45 mins: Huh. New Zealand do well to hold out the Aussie attack on the line, but keep getting fended off by Inglis and co. before Australia put in an ineffectual kick.

47 mins TRY Folau

New Zealand give up an interception in their own half, and Folau is able to barge his way over from a few metres out, carrying two defenders with him. Thurston misses his first kick of the game.

AUS 18 – 6 NZ

52 mins: Lockyer puts up a high kick to Hohaia, and makes the mistake of chasing it up as the ball is passed to Manu Vatuvei who knocks him right over. Folau manages to keep hold of him but keeps on too long, and gives away the penalty. New Zealand fail to do anything with it.

56 mins: Australia are really frustrating here. They are clearly the better side but they just can’t hold onto the final pass, as Brent Tate knocks on during an assault down the right flank.

60 mins: TRY Slater CONVERSION Thurston

Thurston makes a break and for some reason no Kiwi is able to touch him. When he is finally caught he throws out a back-hand pass which hits Slater’s knee. Slater runs onto the ball for a clear run-in. Again, Thurston adds the kick.

AUS 24 – 6 NZ

63 mins: New Zealand almost seem to have given up, as the Australians have carved them up at will, only for the Kiwis to put in some scrambling cover defence. An Australian try is disallowed for a double-movement.

65 mins: D’oh! Manu Vatuvei knocks on in-goal.

67 mins: Again, Australia should score, but Greg Inglis drops it in the process of running over the line. Smith touches down the spilt ball claiming a one-on-one strip, but the video ref is having none of it.

71 mins: Australia seem to be doing the same inside pass move every time, and it seems to work every time.

74 mins: What? Jerome Ropati appears to have scored, only for Billy Slater to slide tackle the ball out of his hands. I would have thought that would count as an illegal strip, but the video ref sees it as a knock-on and so it’s  20m restart.

76 mins: This game is petering out.

78 mins: Inglis puts in a nice chip, which Hohaia has to run dead into touch.

79 mins: TRY Folau CONVERSION Thurston

Tupou gets an offload away, and Slater puts on a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it pass to Folau who runs into the corner for his second try. Thurston gets the kick again, and it’s game over.

FINAL SCORE: Australia 30 – 6 New Zealand

Not the best game really. New Zealand were poor and seemed to be lacking direction and most surprisingly fight, as they were physically dominated by the ‘roos. Australia had patches of brilliance, but for the most part they just did enough. Room for improvement in both sides.

I’ll do an aftermath of both of today’s games later, but I’ve got a visit to Wembley this afternoon so it will have to wait.

Es geht weiter, dieses Mal mit Fußball, Ball hochhalten und Lattenschießen at it´s best, naja…

Das modische Allstar-Team “Marco der Pegler”, “Smetty die Lache”, “Gambais No. 1 Export Ndilyo” und meine Vieligkeit (warum immer tiefstapeln?) begaben sich am Samstag in den Postbahnhof, um der Veranstaltung unseres Lieblingsbeimischaufputschers Red Bull (Music Acadamy) namens “Hip Hop spricht” beizuwohnen. Sommerliche Temperaturen, überwiegend auf Style bedachte Menschen und eine Reihe “anderer “Interviews sollten folgen. Aber mal Schritt für Schritt wie auf Krücken, was war da los?

Die Red Bull Music Acadamy hatte zu zwei Panels geladen, in denen einmal Torch, Dendemann, Nico von K.I.Z., Samy Deluxe und Azad an der Seite des moderierenden Schwabingers Davide Bortot (good Job, Du!) über die eher textliche Seite von Rap und der Hip Hop Kultur an sich sprachen und im zweiten Panel Producer wie die Beathoavenz, Tai Jason, Sepalot und DJ Dynamite ein Stelldichein gaben, um ihrer Affinität, dem Producen, nachzugehen und darüber zu sprechen.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich mich mehr auf das Lyrics-Panel, so nenn ich das mal, konzentriert habe und ansonsten im Backstage (warte, ich sag das noch mal: im BACKSTAGE) den Carlsberg kennen lernte. Netter Typ, leicht beschwippst im Abgang, aber doch. Jedenfalls waren die Panels gut besucht, New Era drängte sich an New Era, wobei, was wunderschön zu beobachten war, es mischten sich auch Ladys unter das Publikum, was im Normalfall bei solchen Veranstaltungen ja eher selten vorkommt; vielleicht gab dazu ja ein wieder rank und schlanker Samy Deluxe den Ausschlag, soviel Klatsch & Tratsch sei auch an dieser Stelle erlaubt…

Definitiv lag da Hip Hop in der Luft, was auch Azad so sah, der sich wiederum (ich komm da aus der Klatsch-Ecke schwer wieder raus merk ich gerade) vom Normalmaß westeuropäischen BDI´s eher in Richtung Ostblock-Statur entfernt und die XXL-Klamotten bald wieder aus dem Schrank holen UND dabei auf tight machen könnte, nahmean?! Der trainiert! Und wo wir gerade dabei sind, Muskuläres anzusprechen seien die Gigs von Morlockk Dilemma und Marteria angesprochen. Besonders Letzterer untermauert mit Songs wie “Der Nazi und das Gras” mal wieder, dass Rap aus Germania Grenzen ausloten kann, ohne sich wie ein billiges Nachmachparfüm vom Vientnamesenmarkt als Kurzweil herauszustellen.

Jedenfalls übertragen wir das mit Word Cup bald schon, darauf wollte ich ja eigentlich hinaus (bitteschön, Chef!).

ps: einige Zeit nach Verlassen des Postbahnhofs fand sich das auf ein Trio geschrumpfte Team um Smetty, Ndilyo und Howard Carpensel (bin ich auch!) in der Bar Tausend ein. Haha, watt die Grunewaldfraktion geblickt hat, als Neukölln im Haus war…anschließend ging es dann aber auch für uns – nun nur noch das “Saufsystem”-Duo in heimischere Gefielde – ab ins Cookies. Aber nicht, ohne auf dem Weg noch diesen Gassenhauser zu rezitieren!

Auge um Auge, Zahn um Zahn, Wohlstandsbauch gegen Luxuswampe. Wenn ein afrodeutscher Perfektionist und ein ehrgeiziger Vollbluttürke aufeinandertreffen wirkt selbst eine polnische Hooliganschlacht wie ein Jahrestreffen von Adam Green Fans in einer auf Meerschweinchen spezialisierten Tierhandlung.
Verlustängste sind nich existent! Rücksicht? Nie von gehört. Fair Play?? Höchstens mit Deiner Freundin. Den Gegner auf dem Boden liegend sehen, ist das Einzige was die beiden O.G.s an diesem Tag in der Kölner Innenstadt interessiert hat. B.L.U.T.!!! Gs up, Hoes down….normal!!

Nicht minder reizend (ob sie auch den Split kann?), unsere liebste Moderatorin, Jasmin Shakeri! Aber wer tummelt sich denn da vor dem Interview? Es ist Dennis Diamanten mit seiner Dark Dynastie Crew ihr Schlaubis, den sollte man kennen…und wenn die anderen Unwissenden in ein paar Monaten fragen, dann wusstet ihr schon viel früher, was da geht…weitermachen!

Das Finale der diesjährigen SAE Jam Session in Bonn hätte auch unter dem Titel “Reim, Rausch und Randale” laufen können, denn das Motto von Konkret Finn wurde im Bonner Brückenforum vorzüglich umgesetzt.

1. es wurde gereimt. Die neun Finalisten punchlineten und partyrhymten sich durch ihre Sets, dass es tatsächlich so aussah, als müsste man sich um den deutschen Reimbardennachwuchs keine Sorgen machen.

2. ob die in der ersten Reihe entblößten Teenie-Brüste oder der mit Servza gefüllte Kühlschrank, ein rauschender Abend war nicht bloß aufgrund der wirklich gut durchdachten Shows angesagt.

Und schließlich 3., die Randale. Hier tat sich einer der Gäste, der Punkt 2. zu viel Aufmerksamkeit schenkte, besonders hervor, als er beim Auftritt der Vorjahressieger Non Plus Ultra einiges an Respektlosigkeiten Richtung Bühne loswurde, was die Frankfurter nicht im geringsten billigen wollten und gleich mal in die Menge stürzten um zu zeigen, wie man das in FFM regelt – nämlich faustdick! Dass sie danach noch eine Melange aus “wir sind gegen Gewalt, aber der Huansohn wollte es so” shouteten tat zwar nicht Not, aber schön…

Doch kommen wir zum verdienten Sieger, den Rohdiamanten aus Köln. Auch sie hatten, wie ebenfalls die aus Hannover stammende Crew C3F (Zweitplatzierte), die ein wenig an die Beastie Boys erinnerte, sich Showelemente überlegt und gut eingesetzt. Dabei waren, erneut wie bei C3F, Gorillas ein fester Bestandteil ihrer Kür. Letzten Endes konnte jeder von den angereisten Künstlern sein Schärflein zu einem gelungenen Abend beisteuern, die zwei Domstädter zeigten mit einer energiegeladenen Leistung und fest sitzenden Skills aber, dass da noch mehr geht. So reisen sie im Sommer dann auch zur Rheinkultur, um die Rhein Hip Hop Bühne zu stürmen und später (im August) noch zum Hip Hop Kemp nach Tschechien.

An dieser Stelle muss es aber auch für die nicht Erstplatzierten Props geben. Besonders der aus Strausberg stammende Sharlatan, der mit witzigen Lines und eingängigem Elektrorapshit aufwartete, verstand es seine mitgereisten Fans (schätzungsweise 40-50 Mann) in Stimmung zu bringen. Er hatte auch das wohl ausgefeilteste Bühnenbild (eine Stadt-Kulisse + seine Backup MC´s waren in Zwangsjacken gekleidet, was ganz gut zum Sound passte) des Abends.

Zwar komplett ohne Bühnenbild und ebenfalls ohne Backup trat Black Market (der Drittplatzierte) auf. Und siehe da, sollte Curse mal in Rente gehen, für Ersatz ist gesorgt. Mit eiserner Stimme und weit aufgeklappten Lungenflügeln zog der Finisher des Abends über ein Publikum, welches zwar auffällig stark die eigenen Künstler feierte, aber zum Schluss hin doch auch zugeben musste, dass es auch in anderen Dörfern noch gute MC´s gibt!

Ein rundum gelungener Abend, da fällt das Warten auf die nächste Ausgabe zwar schwer, wird durch die EM, das Splash!, Hip Hop Kemp und vielen neuen Ausgaben von Word Cup aber doch zu bewerkstelligen sein!

Ein Zeugnis über das 2007er Kemp legen wir auf sly-fi.com mit Word Cup gerne ab. Auch wenn man die aktuelle Seite des Kemp besucht, kann man sich das noch mal zu Gemüte führen. War eine gute Erfahrung, und damit meine ich höchstpersönlich nicht nur den Ride auf dem Quad mit Madame

Also, das wird ein Festivalsommer, jachaiiiiiii!

Brandheisse Info aus unserer HipHop-Redaktion Word Cup, gestützt durch die Intro-Redaktion: Groove Attack übernimmt den deutschen Ableger von Rough Trade. Bumm! Der Turbokapitalismus greift weiter um sich und auch im Indiebereich wird weiter fusioniert was das Zeug hält. Was bedeutet das für die Künstler, was bedeutet das für den Konsumenten? Man weiß es nicht, wir werden es sehen…

I hope the little trailer that I posted above can give you a glimpse of the greatest launch party any start-up ever had. If I’d tell you what the budget was you’d want to have us organize all of your parties. Don’t ask anyone about band catering. I think the budget was about € 250 for snacks and drinks for three bands (one of them consisting of 20 people). At least Ministry Of Sound newcomer Calvin Harris had his personal bottle of Jim Beam which I’m sure he didn’t finish, coz an acquaintance of mine found it and finished it off. Cheers!

This dude who’s having his bow tie chewed on (I love the sexual connotation in this pic) was the best dressed man of the night. No-one else showed up in a tuxedo.

This fine young lady deejayed in the VIP. She mixed classic country with David Lynch soundtracks and Polka. The VIPs loved it. By the way, those same VIPs drank their whole free beer budget by 10 pm (doors opened at 8 pm).

These two gents were a big part of the free booze killing squad. Jury members Tyron Ricketts (Word Cup, Soko Leipzig) and JayBo aka Monk (Irie Daily, Style 100).

Notic Nastic were one of three finalists in the category “music”. They didn’t win but definitely had an interesting visual concept.

I told you the place was packed. Around 2000 people showed up at the Tresor which led to the uncomfortable situation that some of the VIPs had to stand in line outside of Tresor because a traffic jam clogged up the staircase from the entrance all the way up to the VIP-lounge.

Time to go home, oh sweet child of the tattooed appearance.
