I’m testing the WordPress iPhone app. I give it a thumbs up.

feeling somewhat happier with this design – I tend to writ smaller notes so having a narrower column seems to make sense. Graphically , I like the split image header (I’ve used one of my shots from Bristol). I’m getting to grips with WordPress too. not too happy about the way flickr is a) working b)displaying – I might get rid of it and put in a text box with an image in that.

Wow. Are things going my way or what?

First I received a $20 gift card to Starbucks from my mom. It’s the thought that counts, right? Even though I’m not that into coffee and the nearest Starbucks is 30 miles away.

So I decided to take Mrs. Abyss on the trip and make a date out of it. (The gory details of that excursion are documented here.)

While there the “barista” talked me into getting a 12-pack of Starbuck’s “VIA” instant coffee. Two fancy trendy coffee drinks and some instant coffee – POOF! My gift card was shot.

The “barista” also talked me into entering their contest. I normally don’t fall for that, but this time, what the hell. I gave in. Lo’ and behold, a week later I get a phone call and I was informed I had won a prize! Woot. That never happens to me. But, like an idiot I failed to ask what I had won.

So we make the 30 mile trip to get the “prize.” Can you guess? Yep, it was three individual packets of VIA. A retail value of about $2 bucks. I figure I spent about four times that amount on gas so my prize cost me about $6.

Today at the grocery store, though, I actually won a real price. The checker asked my name and then broadcast on the store’s PA system, “Congratulations to Tom who just won $20.” I was so stunned I voided by bowels. (Woot for the “poop” tag.)

Lastly, an honorable mention for site traffic yesterday. My Sarah Palin is a liar post got hit by a troll and I set a new all-time traffic record. In fact, my previous record was tripled in a single day. Something seems askew with that. I think WordPress must be counting “views” at multiple visits from the same two people who were bantering in that post. Apparently visitors are not tracked by “sessions” so repeat visits keep adding up on my little stats graph. Still, I’ll take it and call it a “mini-win.”

today i got my first tattoo at ‘old barber shop’ in copenhagen! YEAH! it was expensive, but one of the best tattoo-artists in copenhagen did it! and my sis got one too but hahah the guy said: only psychopaths like tan enjoy the pain while getting a tattoo!!!

So why the move to wordpress?
Well I have been happy with the blogger site, but find it limiting when trying to share photos and video on our family blog.

I’m liking the wordpress so far, and love the handy iPhone app. Hopefully I will learn to blog a bit more now to refine my skills.

The simple  daily news looks like the poetic narration. That’s the puzzling.  Thus let me explain all the above in more details.  The house I have mentioned earlier was the hospital I stay in.  The shape of the stump of a tree associates with the shape of my Lithuania on a map. Plus the tree symbolizes the life.  I hope this information helped you to see the photo through my eyes.  Personally I sat back in awe. That was not the artistic fantasy but the photography.  The sign.  The second. The street dreamers have the same address. I took the picture  at the same entrance to my new world.  As you see for yourself, the  destination point is already at hand.

Well it looks like wordpress my start “geotagging” posts. In English this means that when you make a post, wordpress tells everyone where you are.

Thankfully this is looking like its “opt in”, as in its not forced on you. Hopefully it will be kept that way. I would love to keep the freedom to say how happy those Christian kids look on the Atheist bus, without having Dawkins knocking on my door…

So, I’m writing this on my iPhone. Small screen, small keyboard. But, if you can see your way past the inevitable spelling mistakes, it could make interesting reading.

It basically means that I should be able to update my blog, albeit in small bitesized chunks, more frequently.

Yes, there is Twitter. Yes, there’s nothing here that I probably can’t do on Twitter. However, this will probably allow me to leave posts with some degree of permanancy. Nice.

Ok so Why did I choose this blog site.its because its a lot better.Then regular blog sites.Its more neat which helps with my OCD problem.Yeah its apart of my miner OCD.Some blogs you can only write little amounts.Its just better.Not that I’m bashing on other blog sites.I would like to get a buzznet ,but I just don’t know yet.I had a webs.But I didn’t really want to use one for just daily blogs.Blog spot just makes me go crazy.I might get a domain name.Once I get a job.So yeah that bascially why I got this blog site.I mean yeah its more for grown ups.But I don’t really care.

Por defecto, todos los blogs nuevos salen con el tema llamado Kubrick, de color azul. Es un tema que tiene muchas posibilidades, puedes cambiar el color del fondo, el color de las letras, e incluso te permite poner tu propia imagen de fondo (una foto, un dibujo, …). Este blog tiene este tema, en el que he puesto una foto del estanque de El Soto, Móstoles. Para poner una foto previamente tienes que tenerla en el ordenador para poder cargarla al blog.

Muchos de vosotros habéis preferido cambiar el tema, hay muchos y se pueden ver de tres formas:

• Aleatoriamente.
• Por orden alfabético A-Z.
• Más populares.

O bien puedes buscar temas con determinadas carácterísticas: a la derecha, donde pone filtros característicos puedes seleccionar el criterio de búsqueda.

Warum bloggst Du?

Ich wollte immer eine gescheite Hompage haben und diese möglichst für umsonst. Dann hatte ich eine und ich merkte schnell das das Programmieren nicht ganz so einfach ist wie ich dachte. Bei meinem Homepageanbieter ging auch kein “PHP” ohne zusätzlich Kohle zu bezahlen. Ich schweife ab! Ich blogge weil ich Spaß am Schreiben habe, sei es  bei Berichten von Reisen oder Konzerten zu schreiben, sei es beim verfassen von Prosatexten. Die Fotografie erweiterte sich fast von selbst zu einem großen Horizont und rundetet das Geschriebene mit der Zeit ab. Da ich erst sehr spät mit dem Schreiben angefangen habe, ist das Kommentieren eine fast tägliche Übung diesbezüglich. Als Schlussworte: “Es macht mir einfach viel Freude zu bloggen und mich dadurch auszutauschen!!!”

Seit wann bloggst Du?

Seit Ende 2005 Anfang 2006 denke ich mich zurück erinnern zu können. Angefangen beim Portal “Blog.de” und nach fast zweieinhalb Jahren dann der Umstieg zu WordPress. Bei Blog.de hatte ich gegen Schluss keine so guten Erfahrungen mit wenigen Leuten aus meiner damaligen Freundesliste gehabt. Dort möchte ich auch die Werbung in den Blogs nicht, also nicht etwa die freiwillig eingefügte durch die einzelnen User, sondern die die der Betreiber bei den Free-Usern  in deren Blogs einbaut.

Gute Frage! Aber leider nicht für mich! Die dürften eher die Leser meines Blogs beantworten können!?

Welche war die letzte Suchanfrage, über die jemand auf Deine Seite kam?

Die vorletzte passt genauso gut zu mir als die Letzte: “Der Steppenwolf Trailer” und “Paulo Coelho Weihnachtsgeschichte”

Welcher Deiner Blogeinträge bekam zu Unrecht zu wenig Aufmerksamkeit?

Meines Meinung nach dieser hier: Astrid Lindgren – “Niemals Gewalt” Erziehung ohne Ohrfeigen – es ist und bleibt ein heikles Thema! Gewalt ist niemals eine Lösung!!! Bei diesem Beitrag über den Kurzfilm des jungen Filmemachers aus Hamburg, dauerte es sehr lange bis ein Kommentar sich einfand. Das fand ich sehr schade! Erlebte ähnliches leider auch im Freundeskreis, entweder waren Menschen nicht bereit auf das Thema einzugehen, geschweige den darüber zu reden, oder sie verstanden die Botschaft des Kurzfilmes nicht.

Dein aktueller Lieblings-Blog?

Ich kann mach dies bezüglich nicht auf einen einschießen und mag mich auch nicht ans Brett nageln lassen, mit dieser Frage. Jeder der mich mit seinen Posts anspricht, Gefühle bei mir weckt ist ein Lieblingsblog!

Ich mache jetzt mal etwas für mich als Mensch ungewöhnliches und zwar spiele ich “I-Tüpfelscheißer” … ich habe in diesem “Blog” zuletzt gelesen, den ganzen Blog sicherlich nicht!

Wie viele Feeds hast du gerade im Moment abonniert?

Mal ganz ehrlich, ich habe mich mit Feeds und Feedreader überhaupt noch niemals auseinander gesetzt! Ich schaue Post nach dem Prinzip Zufall meist an, also bei fremden Blogs was mir so zufällt und mich wunderfitzig stimmt. Ansonsten besuche ich befreundetet Blogs oft und auch durch das Lesen mancher Kommentare lande ich auf Blogs.

An welche fünf Blogs wirfst du das Stöckchen weiter und warum?

Die Frage mag ich nicht! Mein Motto ist und bleibt: “Jeder kann und keiner muss!!!”

Early this morning @ 1:40 am est, I was here on WordPress trying to do some fancy blogging and having problems when suddenly the screen changed and a message was typed before my eyes which said, “Wake up, judecowell…the Matrix has you and you just don’t know it yet.” The WP logo was in the upper left corner of the screen.

Now if you, lone reader, have ever read a few of my posts here and especially at Stars Over Washington, you know that the NWO is one of my primary subjects and yes, I KNOW the Matrix has me and the rest of us, too. Cyber crime abounds from hateful, selfish people who prefer to go against society rather than aid it positively.

And yes, I’ve seen The Matrix films except for the last one.

So I’m wondering if anyone has an idea how I should proceed since a cowardly entity has taken over…and I assure you these words I type now are my own! Jude

i never really pushed blogaveli when it was hosted on tumblr or posterous, so i’m using that as my excuse to re-post things i initially posted back then, on the now wordpress-ran blogaveli.com.

We have been asking around to see what our readers prefer, this or the old Blogger. Now pretty much all of them prefer this so it looks like were staying here, I can’t see it effecting much although we will lose the traffic, hmm we may have to think about that one.

Ah well, I prefer this one anyway. So this is probably where we will stay, I prefer it for a number of reasons actually, I seem to just have pressed post accidently, seems I still have a wee bit to learn then. Where was I? Oh yeah the reasons that I prefer this over Blogger. For a start it looks a whole lot better, It can publicize my posts on Twitter simply, and is more complex yet easier at the same time. I could gush about how good this is for a large part of the night, but then that would be a large waste of time, one last one though there’s a inbuilt word count so I know that up to here this blog is 178 words long- So I know how badly I’m boring you!

But as wonderful as it would be (well okay easier) We don’t just do blogs that have hardly anything in them, that would be rather pointless. The only problem is that now if started talking about WordPress and Blogger its proving slightly hard to shoehorn anything that I want to talk about into it. Interesting though that this is now about 250 words and I’ve hardly wrote anything, what I am going to try though is the Video button lets see if it works! Not sure if it works, but then I can edit it within seconds if it doesn’t

As trilhas da Capivara e de Cristal Água, do Parque Nacional de Brasília, mais conhecido como Água Mineral, foram reabertas ao público neste sábado (21/11). As trilhas foram fechadas em setembro, por medida de segurança, diante da ocorrência de quatro assaltos e uma tentativa de assalto, principalmente na trilha da Capivara.

Agora, os visitantes vão contar com a proteção de três policiais da Companhia de Polícia Militar Ambiental – CPMA, que passarão a prestar apoio aos visitantes durante todo o horário de visitação, das 6h às 16h, fazendo o monitoramento em motocicletas das trilhas da Capivara e Cristal Água, além das piscinas e dos estacionamentos.

A abertura das trilhas ocorre dias antes do aniversário de 48 anos do Parque Nacional de Brasília, que será comemorado no próximo dia 29. Apesar de todos os problemas de uma unidade de conservação instalada no meio urbano, o parque tem muito o que comemorar. Sua área protegida de 42 mil hectares de cerrado resiste bravamente a ameaças de todos os tipos.
