It is a known fact that Asus make some of the best netbook models in the market, at least in terms of features and performance. The Asus Eee PC 1005HA is currently one of the most advanced and well priced netbook in the market, with powerful specs and lots of features.

This model has a 1.66Ghz processor, a new sleek design and an amazing battery life (lasting 10.5 hours on a single charge). As far as netbooks go, Asus has also had a pretty flawless track record as they were one of the first companies to come up with this sub-genre laptop.

With all that said and done, it is important to note that the Asus Eee PC 1005HA does have its weakness and faults. Although Asus is slowly becoming a mainstream player when it comes to laptops, it is a baby compared to more established companies such as Apple, Toshiba or Sony. Companies like Toshiba and Sony have decades of experience in manufacturing laptops and as a result may have higher R&D and QC standards.

It is no doubt that the Asus Eee PC 1005HA is a fabulous laptop, when it works. From the looks of the various customer reviews on the internet, there is quite a number of netbooks that are defective when delivered. Some of the common problems include faulty power adapters and unexplained shutdowns. Other problems include broken web cams and microphones.

Despite all that, it is important to note that those are not inherent problems with the netbooks but rather faults in the production like. If you happen to receive a faulty unit, just send the netbook back to get a new one. Trust me, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA will be worth the trouble. When you receive a unit in perfect working condition, the Asus 10005HA works very well and you will easily see why it is often touted as the best netbook in the market.

Training is an important aspect of being a runner. Whether you are a beginner and you are looking to

Training is an important aspect of being a runner. Whether you are a beginner and you are looking to increase your stamina or you’ve been running for a while and want to run faster or train for an event such as a marathon, training is something that is an essential part of the sport.

There is an art to choosing a good training program. The program you choose will depend on your goals and your needs. Here is some advice that will help you find a runner training program that will work for you.

Decide on Your Goals

The first step to choosing a runner training program is to decide on your goals. If you are a beginner, your training program will look a lot different than someone who is running their third marathon.

Sometimes a goal will be personal such as a desire to run five miles without stopping to rest. Other times a goal will be focused on an event such as running a 10K or a marathon. And often, people will run to help them lose weight or to build up their overall state of health.

Once you decide on your goals, write them down and put them in places where you can see them often. Turn the goal statements into affirmations and recite them a few times each day. For example, if you want to use running to help you lose ten pounds, your affirmation could be: “Running is helping me lose ten pounds.”

Choose a Program

Based on your list of goals, you are ready to choose or develop a runner training program that will work for you. If you need help, consult with someone who has more experience than you.

For example, if your goal is to run a marathon, you will want to choose a training schedule that will help you run a successful race. But, there are so many programs out there that it can be difficult choosing the one that is right for you. A beginning marathon runner will not follow the same program as someone who is racing in their fifth marathon.

In general, look for a runner training program that is a little challenging but not out of your reach. You don’t want to get discouraged and then give up.

Stick With It

You can spend a lot of time setting goals and fining a training program, but if you don’t stick with it, your efforts will not mean anything. Everyone has different ways of finding their motivation. Once you find what motivates you, sticking with your training plan will get much easier.

It takes a while to establish a routine. Before a routine is in place, you may feel disorganized or unmotivated. Give yourself a few weeks to establish a good routine before you start getting discouraged. Often, the routine will make you more motivated.

The United States was once synonymous with having the largest incarnation of just about anything you

The United States was once synonymous with having the largest incarnation of just about anything you could think of – whether it was the world’s largest ball of string or the tallest free-standing structure on the planet. However, out of the top ten current tallest buildings in the world, Uncle Sam has only two structures, neither of which sits in the top slot. That honour is held by Taiwan, whose Taipei 101 structure measures a lofty 509m in height, almost 70m taller than Chicago’s Sears Tower, the United States’ tallest building.

While Taiwan can claim to have the world’s largest industrial building, Dubai can lay claim to having the world’s tallest hotel. In fact, Dubai is home to three out of the top ten world’s tallest hotels with the Rose Tower – despite still being under construction – the tallest at a height of 333 metres. When construction began, the Rose Tower was supposed to reach 380 metres – the height of the Empire State Building. However, design modifications led to its projected height being reduced, and while it is still under construction, the honour of tallest hotel is unofficial.

Pyongyang, the capital city of North Korea is home to what would have been the second tallest hotel, the Ryugyong Hotel. With 105 stories rising to a height of 330 metres, the Ryugong Hotel is a towering, empty concrete shell, which has stood unfinished since 1992. With no windows, fixtures or fittings ever being installed, the basic structure is complete but has never been surveyed for safety and some believe the structure to be unsafe due to the use of poor quality building materials.

As a result, travellers looking to stay in the world’s tallest operable hotels should head back to Dubai, where they’ll be able to stay in the third and fourth tallest hotel structures in the world: the Burj-al-Arab and the Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The Burj-al-Arab has 60 guest floors, stands at 321 metres tall and is constructed on an artificial island that is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. Construction of the Burj-al-Arab began in 1994 and was built to resemble the sail of a dhow – a type of Arabian sea vessel.

The Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel is a 56-floor five-star business hotel in Dubai which stands at a height of 309 metres and is the 29th tallest currently-standing structure in the world. The Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel is also referred to as Emirates Tower Two and is connected to the 54-floor Emirates Office Tower by a retail boulevard and together the two structures form the Emirates Towers complex, which is complete with lakes, waterfalls, public seating areas and has ample car parking space for up to 1800 cars.

Although renowned for its sand, sun, and shopping, Dubai is fast becoming world famous for its architectural audacity and breathtaking structures. Today, shiny new skyscrapers reflect the mosques and wind towers of Old Dubai while some of the world’s tallest structures – hospitality and industry alike – dominate the Dubai skyline.

Back to copying and pasting at last! Commuters Britain-wide will have seen this in the Metro today,

Back to copying and pasting at last! Commuters Britain-wide will have seen this in the Metro today, about a snake who ate himself. The poor animal was kept in a space that may have been too small, meaning in his desperation he saw his own tail and thought it was another snake. The tail tip was about to be digested by the time the vet unclamped his jaws.

This reminded me with warm feelings of the Darwin Awards, a glorious, wonderful site featuring people who have eliminated themselves from the evolutionary chain. ‘Natural deselection’ it’s called.

Cruel? Try not to to feel a bit of Schadenfreude when reading this one about stupid journalists…

But it got me thinking more generally about animals being put on a par with humans in the press. Animals, we’re told, are not ‘he’ and ’she’ in articles. “THEY DO NOT HAVE SOULS!“, our tutor cries, unless you’re writing for the Guardian about tossing a pigeon, or the Indie on the plight of “one of Britain’s ugliest dogs”.

Extremely ugly dog (Independent)

Ew. But normally I have some issues with this stance. Could be something to do with the childhood lectures around the dinner table. Whatever their effect, I strongly feel animals shouldn’t be paraded around for our entertainment, just because they can’t speak for themselves.

Well – usually. I think in a case like this, an animal which knows that little of its arse from its elbow(!) shouldn’t really need to complain. And it’s only being paraded as much as a human who would do the same thing. Just look at world’s heaviest man Paul Mason in the Sun.

In fact, in my opinion, the real discrimination would be if poor Loopy Reggie wasn’t allowed to enter the Darwin awards. Not that it would win. People have done far stupider things than a snake ever could.

Serious lack of funny

Well, if I could afford Tivo, I would really like to rewind this commercial when it comes on so I could have a second chance at finding the joke. Seriously, I miss it every time. Those folks over at Geico must do a really good job hiding it because I’m almost convinced there actually is no joke.

Anyways, I guess the whole point of this commercial is to show you how much money you could be saving if you switched to Geico. What confuses me is this little money stack with eyes is supposed to represent that “money which could have been saved” but since you would have already spent that money with your other insurance company, does that mean that that money stack with eyes is a ghost of your spent money? It would have to be a ghost because if it was physically there, then that would mean you never spent that money on the other insurance company. And if you never spent it on the other insurance company, then you just took out a stack of money for no fucking reason and glued eyes on it, not saving anything. Mindfuck. But that’s just looking too far into a commercial that doesn’t deserve any type of thought. Not only is this commercial incredibly unfunny, the song played at the end is like a parasite that latches on to your brain and forces you to replay that song over and over and over until you finally manage to forget it. And as soon as you do, another one of this fucking stupid commercials comes on. I really don’t have anything else to say about it because my brain has suffered enough from watching them let alone talking about them.

Verdict: Geico cavemen are funnier, and that’s not saying much

What to do when it comes on:

Mute: Silence it.

Look away: You’ll be sorry if you don’t

For divers who aren’t using a scuba dive computer to manage their nitrogen levels, it’s

For divers who aren’t using a scuba dive computer to manage their nitrogen levels, it’s important to use dive tables to keep track of downtime. In order to make use of these tables effectively, a dive watch is required. How’s a dive watch different from an ordinary wristwatch? Two things make it stand out. First, and most obviously, dive watches are water resistant. They also have a rotating bezel.

Water Resistance – a real dive watch will have a depth or pressure rating. Remember to look for depth ratings that are lower than you’re intending to go. The depth rating is when the watch stops working, and that’s something you don’t want to experience. Therefore, even if you’re not planning to go deeper than a hundred feet, look for a dive watch that’s rated for two hundred. Remember that simple waterproof watches aren’t the same thing. While you can take a shower or wash your dishes with them on, they have no ability to withstand pressure, and will break or leak while diving. You can find dive watches that go between a hundred and three hundred yards in most shops, and some specialty types are rated for five hundred. However, the more pressure your dive watches is rated for, the more expensive it will be.

Adjustable Bezel – The bezel is the rotating dial on your dive watches face. It has a pointer indicator, allowing you to align the bezel with your minute hand when you’re ready to dive. It’ll stay put while you’re under water. To see how long you’ve been down, look at the position of the pointer, which is when you began the dive, and compare it to the position of the minute hand. Good dive watches have clear, easy to read faces that allow you to see just how long you’ve been down. For safety reasons, the bezel on a good dive watch will only turn counter-clockwise. That’s so that if you bump it and get wrong information, it’ll tell you that you’ve been down longer than you have, rather than allowing you to stay down for more time than you should.

While a good dive watch can be expensive, it’s worth the cost in the long run. Without it, it’s impossible to time your dive correctly, and that can be hazardous to your health. Fortunately, you can find dive watches easily. Since they’re so durable and water resistant, they’ve become popular as watches for street wear. Just beware of buying imitations that have the look, but not the features of a dive watch. Swim shops, sporting goods stores, and even discount stores online all carry dive watches, so getting one before you swim beneath the surface is simple.

The Protea Banks are an impressive series of reefs located approximately 8 kilometres off the shore

The Protea Banks are an impressive series of reefs located approximately 8 kilometres off the shore at Margate, on the Kawazulu Natal Coast in South Africa. Widely recognised as one of the worlds best dive sites, the Protea Banks is more commonly known for its well deserved reputation for shark encounters in their natural habitat.

What makes the scuba diving at the Protea Banks so special, is the opportunity to encounter a whole range of large pelagics such as the numerous Manta Rays and Spotted Eagle Rays, as well the wide range of reef fish which also frequent the area. However, what the Protea Banks really delivers on is sharks, and lots of them. A huge variety of sharks can be sighted here including Bull Sharks (Zambesi), Tiger sharks, Ragged Tooth sharks, Black Tip sharks, Mako sharks and even the off Great White shark can be sighted here at the Protea Banks.

There is seasonality to the occurrences of specific shark species at the Protea Banks, and so if you are hoping to encounter a particular species, it is worthwhile researching these patterns in advance, to maximise your chance of an encounter. For those scuba divers wanting to dive with the areas famous ragged tooth sharks, or “raggies,” then it would be best to consider visiting the Protea Banks during the August and September months, when the ragged tooth sharks visit the area as a part of their breeding cycle. For divers seeking an encounter with the Bull sharks, then you would need to look at diving around November time, when the Bull sharks follow the game fish into the Protea Banks.

The diving at the Protea Banks tends to be split between the Northern and Southern Pinnacles. During the cooler winter months, the majority of the diving takes place at the Northern Pinnacles, where large congregations of ragged tooth sharks can be found on a regular basis. For the rest of the year, the diving tends to be focussed around the Southern Pinnacles, were Bull sharks, Hammerheads and Tigers are often sighted.

It would be impossible to discuss the scuba diving at the Protea Banks without mentioning the Sardine Run, an annual phenomenon which is unique to South Africa. Each year, during the months of June and July, vast shoals of sardines pass through the region, attracting huge numbers of whales, dolphins and sharks who visit to feast on the sardines.

The water temperature at the Protea Banks ranges from around 19 degrees Celsius in the cooler winter months, up to around 24 degrees Celsius in the summer period. The water visibility in the area can vary massively depending on the conditions and the time of year and can be anything between 5 to 40 metres.

Overall, the diving at the Protea Banks can only be described as exceptional, however it should be stressed that there are strong currents in the area, and it is only for experienced scuba divers only.

For fans of shark diving however, the Protea Banks is a genuinely unique dive site, and undoubtedly, it is well worth the long journey to this stunning part of South Africa.

With hundreds of brands out there and thousands of fragrance in the market, it is hard to choose which one is the best fragrance for you. I have used perfumes for more than 10 years and I would like share with you the world’s best women’s fragrances, highly rated by Top fashion magazines and reviewers, and I have chosen 5 of my all time favourites which I still use till now.

Angel by Thierry Mugler

In Paris, Thierry Mugler, age 20, was a window designer for a trendy boutique and a freelance stylist for various fashion houses. He presented his first collection in 1973, which was well received, and subsequently started up the fashion house that bears his name. His style is always avant-garde and angels are his recurring theme, symbolizing the qualities he sees in woman – soft yet strong, innocent yet seductive. His first perfume, Angel, was designed to be quite different from others at that time – essentially it should not fade away when fashions changed. Angel is classified as a refreshing, oriental, woody fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli. Accompanied by fruity notes of fresh citrus, melons, peaches, and plums The bottle was to be based on a star of blue-tinged crystal, another of Mugler’s concepts, but for contrast with the coldness of the glass the perfume was to be warm and earthy, reminiscent of childhood experiences of fairgrounds, cotton candy, and chocolate mixed with an elixir of fruit and caramel. It took 18 months to devise this complicated fragrance, which is issued in up to eau de parfum concentration.

Chanel no 5 by Chanel

There is no more famous perfume than Chanel No5, which Marilyn Monroe famously confessed was all she wore in bed, and no more legendary person in the world of fashion and perfume than Coco Chanel, who in 1921 selected it from five samples given to her by its creator, Ernest Beaux. She kept the number because it was her lucky number: her collections were always shown on the fifth day of the fifth month. Chanel No5 is classified as a refined, floral, soft fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of modern florals, and balanced notes. It’s long-Lasting, Great Value, Subtle, Alluring, Clean & Fresh and will draw you lots of compliments. Chanel makes all its own fragrances with their “nose”, Jacques Polge and retains special links with jasmine and May rose growers in Grasse to ensure it gets jasmine of an exceptionally high quality. For many years Chanel used a number of famous faces to advertise No5, including Catherine Deneuve (in the United States), and most recently Carole Bouquet, who is seen to represent the ideal Frenchwoman of today. It is suitable for daily use, work, special occasions and signature fragrance.

Joy Perfume by Jean Patou

Joy Perfume is launched by the design house of Jean Patou in 1930. Jean Patou was a great innovator. Born in 1887, he moved to Paris in 1910 founded his fashion and perfume house in 1919, and died in 1936 aged 49. He was essentially a man of the 1920s an 1930s and he seems to have come into the fashion world quite suddenly, for we hear little of him until he presented his first collection in 1919. In 1930, Jean Patou wanted to send a gift to his many regular international clients who he knew would be unable to visit Paris that year. He asked Almeras to create something very strong and simple, and it has to be made regardless of the cost of the ingredients. It is the quality of the rose and jasmine used which makes Joy so special; one ounce, it is said, requires over 10,000 jasmine flowers and 28 dozen roses. Joy is classified as a refined, flowery fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of rare oils including jasmine and rose. But Joy does not just smell of Rose and Jasmine, it smells huge, luscious and utterly wonderful. It is suitable for daily use, work and evening wear.

Dune by Christian Dior

Christian Dior established Parfums Dior with the launch of Miss Dior in 1947. He had always been attracted to fragrances and once confessed that as a child he had never dreamed of becoming a dress-designer; his early memories of women were not of their dresses but the perfumes they wore. Altogether Parfums Christian Dior has launched 18 fragrances and Dior perfumes are always innovative, designed to set new trends. Dune which won the 1993 FiFi award for best woman’s fragrance, introduced the oceanic note which has been popular ever since and made it Dior’s best selling perfume. Dune is classified as a refreshing, oriental and woody fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of amber, wallflower as well as watery notes of the fresh, cool sea air. Incredibly exudes an aura of warmth & harmony. It is recommended for daily use, work and daytime wear.

L’Heure Bleue by Guerlain

In 1828, Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain opened his first little store in Paris, he began by producing different personalized fragrances for each of his clients. With his reputation growing, he gained a royal warrant from the Queen of Belgium and in 1853, his Eau Imperiale perfume delighted the Empress Euginie. He was appointed his Majesty’s Official Perfumer and went on to provide perfumes for half the royal houses in Europe. Since then, Guerlain has so many top-class perfumes and the company has produced well over 300 fragrances. But I am just going to attempt to describe the best of the lot, the L’Heure Bleue. In 1912, it was Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain’s grandson, Jacques Guerlain that created this famous, innovative floral-oriental L’Heure Bleue, it means ‘the blue hour’. L’Heure Bleue is a blend of roses, iris, and jasmine. L’Heure Bleue is most certainly a feminine, timeless stunner. For women favoring subtle, slightly sweet and even less spicy fragrances, this classic scent must be tried.

The Citizen dive watch is amongst the best regarded, established dive watch available today. Far be

The Citizen dive watch is amongst the best regarded, established dive watch available today. Far be it from creating expensive diving watches that are unobtainable to the average scuba diver, a Citizen diving watch is both sturdy enough to resist the rigors of a seawater environment, yet affordable enough to serve as either a primary or back-up watch. This is possibly why the Citizen watchmaker has such a loyal following amongst not just scuba divers, but swimmers, water skiers, wake surfers, wind surfers, jet skiers, sailors and surfers.

Citizen was originally established under the name “Shokosha Watch Research Institute” back in 1918. The trading name “Citizen“, arose from a pocket watch of the same title which was traded on the market in 1924. During the last 75 years, Citizen extended its business to eventually attain global recognition. The last twenty-five year period in particular, saw the company experience its most impressive growth, leading to the commanding position maintained today as one of the biggest watchmakers on the planet.

Citizen is best recognized for its “EcoDrive” solar system. Citizen “Eco” watches possess an environmentally friendly technology that captures ambient light sources to significantly increase watch’s power level. Using solar panels, the Citizen watch can top up the battery even under fluorescent and other kinds of non-natural light sources.

Eco-Drive watches also contain a smart power saving mode that activates when the power generating mechanism stops gathering energy due to lack of light energy input. In this power saving state, the power save effects vary from model to model, the watch halts the second hand at the 12 o’clock point. If the watch is stored in darkness for any more than three days, the other hands as well as the calendar also cease to move to reduce battery drain entirely. In all power save states, the inner time is maintained, so that when more light is obtained by the dial, the watch will restart regular operation with the correct time.

In fact, when you purchase a new Citizen eco watch, you can anticipate that the watch battery will remain “topped up” by the natural light in your environment, meaning you may not ever be required to change the battery. On the other hand, Citizen do recommend a regular service which will assure your analog watch operates reliably over the long haul. It is also recommended that that gaskets (in watches that have them), be replaced every two or three years so as to preserve their water tolerant qualities.

There are a number of time-pieces within Citizen’s “diver watch” range. The majority can tolerate water pressure equivalent to 200 m below sea level. Others like the Mens Diver Watch 1000 meter NH6931-06E Automatic Professional (priced at $1000 plus) exceed these depths by a long shot, but for virtually all scuba dives, 200m is certainly adequate.

Citizen watches across the board are marked either as “Diver’s 200M (air diver’s 200m)” or “Water resistant 20 bar (200m))” – (or to the depth rating of the given watch). The difference between the two depth rating systems are that Diver’s 200M (Air diver’s 200m) are subjected to a series of severe water resistant trials prior to delivery from the factories, whereas WR200 (Water resistant 20 bar) watches are created for consumers who are often in contact with water in their daily lives. These watches are not upheld to the same standard tests as the Diver’s 200M, so are not assured to stand up when subjected to the tougher conditions of scuba dives.

The most popular Citizen product series in the dive category are Promaster Carbon, Aqualand, Professional Diver and Perpetual Calendar. All modern day Citizen dive watches have the Citizen EcoDrive light powering system. A full coverage of each of Citizen’s diving watch range can be found on our website.
