Our country and really, our world did not fare well in the 2000’s. There was pain and conflict, one recession and one depression, two major wars, genocide in Darfur, theft by big business against the middle class, loss of faith, and no forward progress in innovation. Given all that, who could the 2000’s have done without? In other words, which person’s absence would have contributed to making the 2000’s better?

First of all; HELL YEAH that officer should have written that fucking illegal immigrant a ticket. Fuck that – he should have DEPORTED her ass. Not only for not speaking English in America; but for also not being able to read and comprehend ENGLISH WRITTEN DRIVING instructions. Say… for instance… if there was an emergency alert and a sign was put out at the side of the road that flashed a message written English with an explanation to drivers on how to handle said emergency… how would she know what the hell was happening? “Keep left. Right lane closed.” or “Road work ahead. Watch for trucks entering and leaving highway.” or “Accident 1/4 mile ahead. Keep right.”. We’ve all seen ‘em – and for the most part we UNDERSTAND them. Another thing; how the hell could someone that doesn’t speak English pass a driver’s test ANYWAY? There’s a written part and there’s an actual driving part. Oh, and let’s not forget the whole ICE thing. Let’s not get them involved. Call it profiling. Call it whatever the hell you want. You’re here in America, you better fucking be legal and you BETTER speak English.

Second, George Will is absolutely correct. You, Mr. Olbermann, are a moron. There isn’t even a finalized version of the bill. The damned thing has been cut and sliced and stuffed and plucked and stretched it’s beginning to resemble Nancy Pelosi’s FACE. So, Mr. Olbermann, where IS this magical mystery bill that “is posted online” and has been for weeks? The finalized version. What’s that? ‘Snot there? My my my.

Third, Why are the double standards okay with you? Here, I’m sure you’re far too lazy and much too incompetent to get off your fat ass to do some research and investigate. This is what Rush Limbaugh had to say:

“RUSH: Okay, as always, it is up to me to provide context for the people who claim to be professional journalists and are aware of everything. Now, the setup for this, of course, is that I was libeled and slandered by countless members of the media, fabricated quotes, made-up quotes I never stated, never uttered, never wrote, nothing, were repeated all over this country by sportswriters, television cable hosts and so forth. After we proved to them that I didn’t do it they retracted it a week later, after the damage, and many of them said, “It still doesn’t matter, we know Limbaugh thinks it anyway.”

So last Friday, I get a note from a friend who says, “You ought to see what’s on this blog.” I looked at it, and it was Obama, his thesis from Columbia, “so-called Founders,” didn’t like what they did with the Constitution, there wasn’t enough talk about distribution of wealth and so forth. I said, “Well, this has a ring of truth to it,” because we’ve got Obama on radio from Chicago 2001 complaining about the Supreme Court not doing enough about redistribution. So we ran with it, made a big deal out of it in the first hour. In the second hour, I got a note saying, “Hey, Rush, we looked at this, we can’t back this up, we can’t find any actual sourcing for this.” So at that point I warned the audience that it may not be true, that we are still checking it.

Shortly thereafter I learned that the whole thing was made up, it was a satire piece on an obscure website. Then I said, “Okay, folks, I have to tell you, it’s satire, there’s no evidence that Obama ever wrote this, but, Media Tweak of the Day, I don’t care, I know he thinks it anyway because I’ve got audio of Obama saying it, talking about the Supreme Court.” And we all got a great laugh about it because I corrected it immediately, I explained that it was a hoax, or was satire and then to tweak the media I said, “But I don’t care, I’m sticking with it because I know he thinks it anyway.”

But the thing, Olbermann, is that Obama DOES believe in redistribution of wealth. He IS a communist. He IS trying to socialize our nation and “spread the wealth around”. There are ENDLESS audio, video, and transcripts of him SAYING so. So, yes, he went with the “satire” because it IS true. Weather or not Obama wrote a THESIS on it is not the point. He HAS said it before. He DOES think it anyway.

So I dished out to Obama what the whole media did to me and I dished it back at the media as well. And Koko at the website called me on Friday here, e-mailed me, said, “Look, you want me to leave this thing up?” I said “Yes, leave it on the website as is, so these idiot media people who want to find out what actually happened can go in and take the time to read it and see it. And leave the original piece up where I got the first information that this was something he had written in his thesis.” So here is yesterday morning, Monday morning, 1010 WINS in New York, a montage of correspondent Alice Stockton-Rossini’s report about this.

ROSSINI: When Rush Limbaugh discovers a hoax, he corrects it immediately. So what he spent a good part of his Friday broadcast gloating over an Internet story about how a TIME Magazine reporter got a hold of the president’s college thesis, and in it he disses the Constitution? So what the story was fake? When Limbaugh realized the report was fake he didn’t say sorry, not even oops. He insisted the fabricated theses is still in line with what the president thinks. How does he know? Because, says Limbaugh, he’s heard Obama say it. A transcript of the Friday broadcast is still at the top of Limbaugh’s Web page. The headline: “Obama’s Disdain for the Constitution. We know he thinks it, don’t we?” But being Rush Limbaugh means never having to say you’re sorry. When Limbaugh realized the story was satire, he admitted the report was a fake, then added, “For good comedy to be comedy, it must contain an element of truth.”

I wouldn’t be sorry for stating something that is the truth. Every day BHussein Obama does something that is unconstitutional. THERE IS AUDIO. BHUSSEIN HAS SAID IT. DO you understand? *shakes head*

RUSH: I continue to be amazed, and I marvel at how easy it is to make these people look like fools. She even says she went to my website. All of this ’cause I didn’t say I’m sorry. I don’t know that I’ve gotten one apology from anybody in the media about using fabricated quotes attributed to me. They live in such a narrow world; they are so unaware of what is really going on. I continue to be marveling at the fact that they don’t really know what happens in our world, folks, but we know everything about their world because we study ‘em and we research ‘em, and we don’t read fake websites quoting what media said. We listen to them. It pains us, it’s frustrating as hell, but we do it. Here’s Chris Matthews last night on Hardball.

MATTHEWS: Rush didn’t realize that it was a joke and broadcast the thesis story Friday as evidence that the president is, quote, anti-constitutionalist. Later in that same show Rushbo was told that the story was a hoax. Did he correct the record? Not exactly.

RUSH ARCHIVE: I shout from the mountaintops, “It was satire.” But we know he thinks it. Good comedy, to be comedy, must contain an element of truth, and we know how he feels about distribution of wealth so we stand by the fabricated quote because we know Obama thinks it anyway.

MATTHEWS: You can’t beat that, did you hear that? Rush stands by the hoax because he told his dittoheads a hoax contains truth. Well, it takes a true Dittohead to register on that one.

RUSH: These people! He has no clue that I’m parodying what happened to me, that he participated in. I don’t think I’ve gotten an apology from Matthews on this. So we stand by the fabricated quote? (laughing) I don’t know, folks. It’s fun. Did he correct the record? I shout from the mountaintops, element of truth, we know how he feels about distribution — We do know how he feels about it, so we stand by the fabricated quote. (laughing) Which is exactly what happened to me. I’m out of words to describe the insular world and the utter, utter lack of a sense of humor that these people have, particularly where Obama is concerned.

So, Olbermann. What’s it like to have a double-digit I.Q.? Must be absolute bliss!

Updated: this posting has been visited lately by visitors who have kind of rushed through this and concluded I have decided, out of the blue, to collect “dirt” on Glenn Beck. I forgot I’d need to explain things slowly for them:

I don’t know why I’ve got this phrasing in my head, but: Find everything you can about Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes.

Anyways, back to the… “diary” entry…. *cough* If you’re glancing over his diary… you’ll notice that he says “Send Me Everything You Can Find About Glenn Beck” requesting OTHER people to SEND HIM information on Glenn Beck. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not a huge Glenn Beck fan myself. Yeah yeah, I don’t want to hear it. Olbermann realizes (due to “feedback” from others) that his request was beyond idiotic and tries to smooth it over by citing an excerpt from the Washington Independent:

Now, sure, Glenn Beck is a popular dude. Far more popular than Olbermann… but you REALLY have to focus on the choice of words here. According to the Washington Independent, Beck told his followers to FIND EVERYTHING THEY CAN ON CASS SUNSTEIN, MARK LLOYD, and CAROL BROWNER… He does NOT ask his followers to SEND HIM any DIRT they can on these people; but to gather information FOR THEIR OWN use – so that his FOLLOWERS know what’s going on… for the SOLE purpouse of EDUCATING THEMSELVES on certain unsavory characters. Olbermann on the other hand ASKS OTHER people to DIG UP DIRT and send them to him. Mr. Olbermann, can you explain to me what harm it is to educate yourself? To find out everything you CAN about elected officials and certain public figures? Did Beck ask his followers to SEND him DIRT on these people? No, sir. He did not. YOU, on the other hand asked for people to dig up dirt on Beck. Why is that? Because it’s too much work to do your OWN “investigating” for the purpouse of smearing Beck? Beck said “Find everything you can about CASS SUNSTEIN, MARK LLOYD AND CAROL BROWNER” while YOU asked for others to “send you everything” we could on Glenn Beck. “visitors [who] have kind of rushed through this and concluded I have decided, out of the blue, to collect “dirt” on Glenn Beck.” It might not be out of the blue, but your intentions are clear. To smear and devalue Beck and his work. Because? BECAUSE HIS RATINGS ARE TWICE AS HIGH AS YOURS? Possibly. Because he’s much more intelligent than you? Likely. But, it’s clear that you are NOT asking your “followers” to inform themselves and find out everything they can about Glenn Beck because it would benefit THEM; but because it would benefit you.

Do your own dirty work, you shitball.

Glenn Beck: Today’s Worst Dumbest Person In the World

Beck cited the Constitution claiming a $10 fee on the “importation of persons” was the Founding Father’s way of putting a value on immigrating to this country. (not like we give it away today) “importation of persons” Glenn, as in Slaves… you freak of nature:

Health care reform is shaping up to be an even richer source of “Worst Person” material than the Iraq War.

It’s amazing how your view of things can change with just a little inside information. That’s true with national politics and it’s also true with something as mundane as a local school board election.

My wife is very active in our school’s PTO and as a result she became friends with the PTO president, Denise DellaVilla.  When Denise decided to run for the school board my wife said she’d help out any way she could.

Then along came a neighborhood activist (No!  Not THAT one) named Joyce Wachala.  She made quite a name for herself by spreading false rumors about the school district closing an area school.  She had the whole area stirred up with this false rumor, even organizing a petition drive over an issue that just wasn’t true.

Then lo and behold Joyce Wachala decided to run against my wife’s friend Denise Della Villa.  To make matters worse the local fish wrapper, (aka The Daily Gazette) endorsed Wachala and made Denise the villain!  (What the flaming fruitcake!)

You might think a letter to the editor would be called for at this point.  I tried that along with a few others.  The paper responded by sending us harassing phone calls!  (I kid you not!)

With only the “Drive By Media” to go on,  you can guess who won the election.  However the story doesn’t end there.

Just this week Joyce Wachala announced she is stepping down from the school board citing family health reasons.

Chances are she has her own behind the scenes story she could share.  At this point the best thing we can do is pray for Ms. Wachala that all goes well for her and her family.

But how ironic!  The very person we were trying so hard to keep off the board winds up resigning after attending only two meetings as a member.

Of course the real lesson here is with the media.  I now know more than ever how easy it is for public opinion to be swayed by the media’s bias.  In reporting her resignation The Daily Fish Wrapper couldn’t resist yet another chance to demean Della Villa and elevate Wachala to sainthood.

Perhaps The Capital District needs it’s own version of “The No Spin Zone”.  Or how about someone calling out the area’s “WORST PERSON in the worrrrrld!”

Some internet gurus have predicted that a well organized agregate area based web site could eventualy render  local newspapers obsolete.  That time for the people in my city couldn’t come fast enough.

One things for sure.  This has been one wild ride into local Schenectady politics.

Howard Sattler (rightly) received a lot of criticism when he remarked “Good riddance to bad rubbish” when juvenile car thieves were killed in a high speed crash. But is it going just a step too far to say “Good riddance” to Howard when his mother dies? A little worse than calling Adrian Barich a cunt I think.

Or do we blame the moderators? The link, for as long as it remains.

I snapped this one of the nose cone of St Mary’s Cathedral being fitted with nuclear weapons before being put in place. The sign says something about bringing the church into the 21st century. Wouldn’t that mean shrinking it, rather than expanding it? Some sort of phone booth sized kiosk would be sufficient wouldn’t it?

Another couple from Turf. I’m still not sure what to do with the volume of submissions. 2 a day, or do a mammoth post with dozens of pics? Anyhow, Turf, who still has more, snaps two worsts in one blow, with a hand painted Pepsi sign with an Italian mansion behind it in Seaview Street Beaconsfield.

I was going fliering tonight and walked past the NBC building, on his way walking to the building i ran into KO. I stopped him “are you keith olberman?” him in bold. there is some stuff missing, but most of it is here. He was nervous and nerdy, hands in his pockets the whole time, he really seemed like a hollow fool. i was actually very surprised, i thought he had more than this.

The entire time, NO INTELLECTUAL RESPONSE WHAT-SO-EVER. NONE. NADA. ZILCH. Nothing new, just anything that some uninformed kid on the street would say. WOW. i was blown away by how lame his responses were. amazing. He even at one point mentioned that he was called a misogynist, as if he couldn’t understand why! wow.

I have one thing to say about that…  actually, just one word….

Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Persons in the World” yesterday earned the dishonor as few are able: 

Nov. 20: Worst person: According to the Pentagon’s SEB Bonus Division, wounded soldier Jordan Fox owes the military $3,000 because he was unable to serve his full tour in Iraq and had to go home three months early. 

Jordan Fox had received a signing bonus for enlisting, but his injuries in Iraq, including being blinded in one eye, rendered him unable to continue. According to Mr. Fox, he is but one of perhaps several thousand such cases.

I recall a verse of an old folk song, “Drill Ye Tarriers Drill:”

The foreman’s name was John McCann
By God, he was a blamed mean man
Last week a premature blast went off
And a mile in the air went big Jim Goff.

And when next payday came around
Jim Goff a dollar short was found
When he asked, “What for?” came this reply

It was supposed to be humorous, not the basis of government policy. Guess they didn’t get the memo.
