Hmm; this looks like a must-have to me! Shame it’s not free ($499/£300) but you get 55 videos and I guess they are all going to be fairly long and in-depth.

Will definitely buy these but am buying a Mac in the next couple of days (probably a Mini as apparently good enough for iPhone dev work), so don’t want to get ahead of oneself!

Obviously I can’t cover all of the stuff that happened at WWDC but I did cover the two main parts. So, if you want to get more info of the iPhone 3G, Mobile Me or just everything else in the keynote there are many ways to do so.

Engadget wraps things up quite nicely on this little post here.

TUAW has their coverage here.

If you wanna see everything else you can go here to watch the Keynote in SD or HD.

Of course there are many more information spots out there to see everything that happened in the Keynote, but these three are my favorite! I hope you enjoy!

This has been IPGM’s WWDC 2008 coverage.

There are a lot of things to talk about from WWDC 2008, so i’m going to talk about it in 3 parts. The first part was the iPhone 3G. The second part covers the new Mobile Me service! Lets go!

The Good

Mobile Me is a new service that replaces the old .Mac serivce(which replaced the iTools service). I give Apple an A+ for designing something like this. First off, it’s great that Apple knows that there are people out there who want a personal exchange service but just can’t get it due to the fact that exchanges is for businesses. I also think its great how Apple designed the product. It’s great that they put it out onto Windows and it’s also great that they made the whole program look great even on the web! So, far, Apple your doing a great job. No I want to talk about the logo(pictured above in the center). Many people say that the logo is terrible garbage. Now, I do agree that it’s no the best logo, but then again, Apple is trying to make this product a product thast is friendly to the common people. Think about what their goal was for the iPhone, a simple and easy to use phone that had great features and that anyone could use. Well if you think about what they were trying to do with the iPhone, then think about their goal for Mobile Me. It’s the same. With the iPhone, they used touch controls to make people understand the phone better. With Mobile Me, they are doing the same thing buy representing the exchange service with a cloud. Thus, the cloud appears in the logo. Even though it’s not the BEST logo, it still tries to get people to understand the service better. Overall, I think the logo is fine, and on top of that, kudos to apple for making the product. Many people have waited for it.

The Bad

Overall, I can’t find too many bad things about the Mobile Me service. Other than charging $99 dollars a year. Which if you think about it really isn’t that bad, but they make it sound bad by having a big amount of money listed. Couldn’t they just say something like “Only $8 a month!” Other than making it sound like it costs alot just for one service, Mobile Me looks like a hit.

Overall, Mobile Me looks like a great service. Too bad i won’t be getting it because I won’t be getting an iPhone. Don’t get me wrong, I still think the iPhone is the greatest phone out there. Unfortunatly, I just can’t get one because they’re AT&T only.

Look for Part III later this week.

iPhone – http://www.apple.com/iphone/

Destas novas funcionalidades, destaco:

MobileMe – http://www.apple.com/mobileme/ www.me.com

10.6 Snow Leopard – http://www.apple.com/macosx/snowleopard/

Sicherheitsbedenken?

“It´s like an Exchange Server, but for anyone. There are some of us not working in companies, but boy, we wish we had Exchange functionality”.
Aha.

There are a lot of things to talk about from WWDC 2008, so i’m going to talk about it in 3 par

There are a lot of things to talk about from WWDC 2008, so i’m going to talk about it in 3 parts. The first part is the iPhone 3G. Lets go!

The Good

The iPhone 3G has a bundle of new features and fixes from the old iPhone 1.0. The first is obiously that it uses 3G technology instead of the old EDGE. According to Steve Jobs, it loads in just a little more time than it takes for WiFi (about a 2 to 3 second difference). Other than that, another major change is that Maps now features GPS. I’m not sure exactly how this all works on the inside, but I do know that it can get you directions to where you want to go. Some other small changes are that the sound on the speakers is better, the headphone jack is flush with the device and the overall device is thinner. The 16GB now comes in Black and White. Oh, and one more thing, forget forking over $400 dollars for one of these because the new iPhone 8GB is just $200.

The Bad

The only bad thing that I have heard about so far is that you can no longer activate the phone yourself. Actually, the iPhone is no longer avalible for online purchase either. You actually have to go to an Apple or AT&T store and buy one. Soon after you are forced to activate the thing IN STORE only. Bad move Apple and AT&T, I’m not sure many people will like this. There is one more bad thing that I have heard about both the iPhone and the iPod Touch. The iPod Touch 8GB is twice more moeny than the iPhone 8GB. However, before you think about buying the iPhone and just not activating it, you have to remember that you MNUST activate it in the store right after your purchase. Apple, it actually seems like your trying to rip people off with this one!

Overall, the iPhone is the greatest phone out there. Unfortunatly, I can’t get one because they’re AT&T only. Now, an iPod Touch, I would totally get one of those, but I think I’ll wait for a price drop. Afterall, your currently paying twice as much for less features.
