Most things in psychology seem to boil down to childhood, so I think my family would be a good starting point in condensing my whole personality into one blog post. I have two older brothers and no sisters so I always had a big male influence in my life. My family is close and so I have always looked up to my brothers and tried to impress them. This is probably the reason for my boyish interests and tastes. I spent my childhood watching X-men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, WWF and Star Wars, and these tastes have carried on throughout life. But that didn’t stop me enjoying the girly side of childhood too. Put a young boy or a young girl in a room full of toys and the majority of them will go towards the ones typical of their gender. There is a reason for those stereotypes. Put me in a toy shop and I went straight for the dolls, but that didn’t stop me playing with my brothers Lego and Action Figures as well.  We have pictures of me wearing a frilly pink dress and fairy wings whilst wrestling with my brothers. Doesn’t everyone?

My brothers used to tease me about my girly interest (I think they wanted another brother – they even tried to name me Max). There’s one birthday list I remember which contained the likes of Bring It On, Crossroads, Save The Last Dance and Charlie’s Angels on DVD that received a lot of teasing, but rightly so. And their teasing even resulted in me hiding my love of Take That from them in primary school, although I’ve later discovered that they were hiding their love of them too – hence the teasing. But that was surprisingly rare and I feel very lucky to have them as brothers. I have some very fond memories of them taking me to see Spice World The Movie one summer and helping me put on shows to our parents when I’d spent the day making up a dance. They never discouraged me from acting like a girl, they just wanted their sister to be cool.

So I always had people around who were willing to attempt to teach me how to do kick ups (not that I ever succeeded with more than 3) but no one to teach me how to apply make-up and give me advice on boys. My mum was never really interested in make-up and, to my knowledge, she was more interested in reading and ballet then she was in boys and partying when she was younger. I think that this male influence is not only the reason for me getting on better with guys but has also resulted in my yearning to stay feminine.   I spent my younger years looking longingly at the pretty, blonde girls that all the boys fancied, who knew how to wear make-up and knew how to flirt. I wanted to be like that but my attempts at make-up left me looking more like a clown and the boys always fancied my friends over me. Apparently being able to punch as hard as them wasn’t as high up in their girlfriend priorities as you’d have thought. Still isn’t actually.

I’ll leave it there for now. Next Why am I a guy’s girl? post….my schooldays. Sounds rivoting I know.

As most people know by now, Copenhagen will host the climate meeting Cop15 in December.
It has been around for a while and the time is closing in! – will Obama join? will the different politicians take any decisions? Will the African nations be heard? Will Nepenthes save the threes and WWF save the pandas or polar bears?
The questions are many and only time will tell. Or what?

The other day I watched a board discussion hosting: Knud Pedersen, Vice president at Dong Energi, among others. He presented Dong´s strategy to become a more CO2 neutral company. During the next 30 years the will shift the figures from: 15% CO2 neutral energy and 85% Goal driven energy – to 85% CO2 neutral energy and 15% energy containing CO2 emissions. This is a pretty hardcore strategy to become a Co2 friendly company. If the companies are ready to deal with the climate issue, and the politicians are too, then why are we talking about the fact that there might not happen anything during Cop15? if it all is just one big scam and get-together, then why even bother having it? What is the energy concumtion of hosting that meeting gonna cost compared to how much it will safe?

There are many things that I am curious to see in December!
Kadaver have been in contact with a broad perspective of people dealing with small events, happenings, campaigns, conferences, exhibitions etc. A lot of things are going to go down at the same time, and most of it is extremely interesting.
Then there is also the whole aspect of all the travelers coming to Copenhagen to stay during Cop15. The hotels has been booked for quite a while now and great initiatives like: New Life Copenhagen has been established in order to host people from a grassroots level too. the Couchsurfing network is heated and a broad specter of activists are preparing for December.

The Demonstration on December 12th, is estimated to have approximately 60.000 participant! All yelling for climate change! If you know of any great initiatives thats gonna happen, then feel free to drop a comment or an email. Then we will post it here on the blog for others to see and participate.

Tout le monde a au moins entendu parler une fois de ce personnage de dessin animé carré et jaune. Il s’agit bien sur du bien nommé Bob l’éponge, l’inimitable éponge des mers. Le personnage est devenu tellement populaire qu’une exposition lui a été consacrée récemment. Même le styliste de la maison Chanel, Karl Lagarfeld  est tombé dans ses filets. Le célèbre créateur s’est joint aux nombreux artistes qui soutiennent la WWF. Pour la bonne cause, il a décidé de déguiser  l’incontournable Bob. C’est donc un Bob L’Eponge métamorphosé  tout doré portant les incontournables mitaines en cuir, lunettes noires et cravate noire que le  directeur artistique de la maison Chanel nous a concocté. Cette figurine sera vendue le 26 novembre au Pavillon de l’Eau à Paris lors d’une vente aux enchères organisé par Nickelodeon. D’autres objets concernant le petit bonhomme jaune seront mis aux enchères, tous signés par des célébrités. Les bénéfices seront reversé à la WWF.

Enquanto alguns líderes mundiais se encontram em conflito para escolher medidas mais favoráveis ao planeta ou contra o aquecimento global e, assim, firmar acordo com as demais nações na 15ª Conferência Mundial pelo Clima, a rede internacional World Wildlife Fund (WWF) segue firme com a campanha Vote pelo Planeta.

A iniciativa conta com a parceria da Google, que desenvolveu um aplicativo com o mesmo nome da campanha eleitoral que luta contra o aquecimento global.

A nova campanha foi organizada para ser uma eleição em que todos os indivíduos e organizações internacionais possam dar voto em favor de um planeta livre de maiores impactos causados pelas mudanças climáticas.

Além do voto, o sistema virtual oferece espaço para o público alertar os líderes mundiais sobre a importância de se tomar atitudes sensatas em nome do futuro do planeta.

Os internautas brasileiros interessados pela mobilização podem acessar o site da WWF-Brasil e participar da Vote pelo Planeta, após o preenchimento de um pequeno cadastro.

Segundo a WWF- Brasil, os internautas também estão autorizados a divulgar a campanha nas mídias sociais como Twitter, Facebook, Orkut e Blogs.

O objetivo da Vote pelo Planeta, coordenada globalmente pela rede WWF, é apresentar os votos e as mensagens do mundo todo aos chefes de Estado que vão participar da COP 15, a partir do dia sete de dezembro, em Copenhague.

“Se cada um fizer sua parte, nossas vozes se transformarão num só coro a pedir aos líderes mundiais que tomem a decisão certa em Copenhague”, afirma a secretária-geral do WWF-Brasil, Denise Hamú.

“O novo acordo global de clima não é apenas possível. É absolutamente necessário. Convidamos cada brasileiro a dar seu voto pelo planeta”, completa.

Em Copenhague, os líderes vão negociar um novo tratado internacional que deverá substituir o Protocolo de Kyoto, vigente até 2012.

O protocolo foi criado com o intuito de reduzir as emissões de CO2 e outros gases causadores do efeito estufa, mas se tornou ineficiente diante da rejeição do governo Bush ao tratado e da falta de exigências focadas nos países pobres e em desenvolvimento.

Parece que todas as campanhas da WWF, uma hora ou outra, acabam esbarrando em polêmica.

Depois do vexame mundial protagonizado por um singelo e brasileiro  anúncio fantasma (É, aquele criado por uma certa agência paulista de Nizan Guanaes. Aquele que levou um prêmio do The One Show. Aquele que ajudou a reforçar a desconfiança dos gringos em relação as peças inscritas, principalmente as de agências brasileiras), do outro lado do mundo, na Singapura, o pessoal da JWT prolonga o clima de bafafá abocanhando em Cannes este ano, um belo Leão com a seguinte campanha:

Nota de esclarecimento da blogueira: apesar da idéia de se usar a imagem do jogo-da-velha em anúncio seja super batida – justificando a polêmica em torno dos méritos dessa campanha – o que realmente me interessou foi a assinatura. Ela diz: “É A SUA VEZ. VISITE wwf.sg”. Sei lá. Eu gostei.

So I’m about a third of the way through watching RAW last night when it hits me that I’m actually ENJOYING at and looking forward to the rest of the show!  So far we had Jesse Ventura come out as the night’s Host.  He was doing a fine job and told us that we’ve been seeing too many of the same faces in the Championship scene.  He set up a battle royal filled with wrestlers that have never had a title shot.  The winner of the battle royal will receive a shot at his brand’s championship at the next Pay Per View, “TLC” (Tables, Ladders and Chairs).

SWEET!  Somebody gets a chance to break through to the top of the scene!  As much as I love Shawn Michaels and Triple H, there’s only so many times I can get excited about seeing one of them fight in the main event, and goodness knows the world doesn’t need another Cena/Orton match.

Side note about Orton:  I’m really liking him!  I disliked him personally for a few years because he’s been pretty immature behind the scenes, but getting married and having a kid has done him good.  I can feel good about liking him again.

We got a pretty good Cena / CM Punk match.  My favorite part was before the match when Punk told Cena, “Through these sober eyes, I can see you.”  I’ve mentioned before how awesome I think Punk is, but I don’t think I’ve brought up how bored I am of Cena.  BORED.  Turn him bad and I’ll like him again, but I was pissed off when he pinned Punk.

I think the thing I was most excited about was the DX vs. Hart Dynasty match.  Here we have TJ Wilson and David Hart Smith (the son of the legendary British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith).  The Hart Foundation in the past had huge issues with DX (Shawn Michaels and Triple H) and this would be the first time in over TEN YEARS that DX would face members of the Hart Family.  There was so much history between the two factions and I couldn’t wait to see this explored!  You’ve got the legitimate screwing over of Bret Hart for the WWE title at the Survivor Series in 1997, you’ve got Shawn beating the British Bulldog for the European title in the UK after Bulldog dedicated the match to his dying sister, and so much more!

We get to the match.  NOT ONE WORD of the history between the two groups is mentioned.  You could have had TJ and Smith do an interview before the match and really tear into DX vowing revenge for all sorts of deeds.  Nothing.  DX wins a five minute match after a superkick from Shawn and a pedigree from Trips.

Fuck you guys.  Seriously.  Fuck you guys.

Then Chris Jericho came out and talked smack to DX.  Jericho is exactly what he says he is: the best in the world at what he does.

It’s the week of Thanksgiving, and thankfully we all got to relive the Survivor Series moment from 1990 when the Gobblygooker was unleashed!  Back in ‘90 they had a big egg that Mean Gene promised us would hatch at the pay per view and every week speculated as to what could be in it.  I speculated as well!  I was sure that Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake was ready to return and would POUNCE out of that egg ready for action!  Some people thought that Ric Flair was coming in.  Instead we got this:

Yup.  This friggin’ turkey-or-what-have-you popped out of the egg, danced around the ring, did some gymnastics, then clucked off, not to be seen or heard from for many years until the fine folks at WWE realized it could be brought out as a joke to remind us of how goofy things were at one point.

SPEAKING OF GOOFY: there was a six woman tag match featuring the Pilgrims (the bad team) vs. the Indians (the good team).  Normally I fast forward through woman wrestling matches because it’s pretty much tna but I was watching the show live and didn’t have the option.  And it’s a good thing, because the entrance music used for the Indians was TATANKA’s old entrance music!!:

Oh, the hilarity!

So speaking of hilarity and golden moments from the past, it was decided that Jesse Ventura and Vince McMahon would do commentary on the main event – just like they did in the ’80s!  Vince even put on his tuxedo with the red tie!  It was amazing and … well, just all sorts of amazing!

Now the main event itself?  The next challenger to John Cena’s championship is this guy:

If he wins the title at the ppv I’ll eat my hat.

I’ll purchase a hat, then eat it.  But best of luck to you, Sheamus.  Hopefully this gives you some credibility and is a jump start to a big career.  You’ve been handed the ball – how far can you run with it?  Personally I’m skeptical but keeping an open mind.

I had texted my friend Ray who was still at work and told him, “best RAW in years”.  I was clearly wrong, but was going off the potential of the night.  A fresh contender for the title?  A DX/Hart match?  Jesse and Vince on commentary (granted, that did pay off). 

This night should have ruled.  When the part of the night that got me most excited was a tie hearing Tatanka’s old music and seeing the Gobbledygooker… there’s trouble a’brewin’.

Parteneriatul ce dateaza tocmai din anul 2000 are ca scop colaborarea intre organizatii pentru minimizarea efectelor actiunilor Lafarge asupra mediului in locatiile in care activeaza in toate colturile lumii, parteneriatul fiind unul global.

De altfel Lafarge a fost primul jucator industrial ce a devenit partener al WWF, fiind si acum cel mai mare partener si primind ca urmare a rezultatelor obtinute certificatul “WWF Conservation Partner”. Acest certificat utilizat de Lafarge pe scara larga, de la scrisori pana la website, de la comunicate de presa pana la bilantul anual reprezinta si o dovada de marketing social din partea Lafarge, fapt ce-i atrage o perceptie pozitiva din partea clientilor, partenerilor si nu numai.

CEO-ul Lafarge spunea la semnarea prelungirii parteneriatului ca “din anul 2000 Lafarge a facut o multime de pasi in vederea imbunatatirii impactului asupra mediului, o multime de alti pasi mai sunt insa de facut.. un astfel de parteneriat e o ocazie fantastica de a confrunta viziunea unui mamut industrial cu cea a unei ONG“.

Zonele in care colaborarea este activa de ambele parti sunt tarile cu economii emergente (Brazilia, China, India) in care investitiile Lafarge sunt foarte mari datorita cererii in crestere si conjuncturii economice, de asemenea domeniile cheie sunt reducerea emisiilor de dioxid de carbon – se stie ca acestea sunt mari in cadrul activitatilor procesatorilor de ciment, reducerea poluarii permanente cu diverse materiale rezultate din activitatea de productie, reducerea consumului de apa, reabilitarea carierelor de extractie.. Piatra de temelie a constituit-o definirea si implementarea unor instrumente de masurare si monitorizare a efectelor activitatilor Lafarge asupra mediului, de aici pornind masurile de control si imbunatatire a operatiunilor.

Interesant este faptul ca dupa semnarea parteneriatului dintre cele doua parti, mai multi jucatori industriali si-au aratat interesul si disponibilitatea de a colabora cu WWF, vazand in ea nu doar un instrument de marketing ci si unul de crestere a eficientei sau o provocare in realizarea unei imbunatatiri a eficientei activitatilor proprii.
