Alright Blue!!
Ken Zi:Kill is one of the best guitarist in the world, and he is also the influence for other guitarist. He had been the adviser for some senior. Almost Zi:Kill fans will love Tusk and follow Zi:Kill member at a band called, “Craze”; but I prefer Ken better. I realize that I do love Zi:Kill’s music, because Ken composed and arranged it. The right style for me should be Ken. I try to collect his solo albums. I put some important songs on Imeem (click to listen), because Imeem is a legal place, and I would like to see people love him as I do, too. A lovely friend on Flickr told me that she loved everyone, because other people like to say the name of only one member. Oh dear, you make me smile.

Why is this Easter Day of Spring 2009?
It is the day I made it. I made it for this day. Easter is really about re-born or all things. Firstly, Jesus Christ’s resurrection; secondly, the blossom; thirdly, it is about the day that bright time and dark time have the same length, so say hello to the sun. All are bright in this day! It is Spring time. I would like to see Ken and his Zi:Kill to be just like this. I want to hear their new music, I want to see their re-union, but now, I just listen to their similar bands. I mean, American alternative rock/ punk, my most favorite genre ever. Zi:Kill is punk, too. In their time, they did not promote themselves that much. All dressed with black suit,.., oh, seems like they have their own perfect world that other people want to get into, and Hide (Hideto Matsumoto) did that. All girls in the world would be so jealous. Hide, you just touched and kissed their charming guy. Hide, you were just a guitarist that the professional (all music professors I know) could not indicate that you or Yoshiki lost the rhythms. Some said that Yoshiki lost his drums rhythm, and some said that Hide lost solo rhythms. Hide, you were with that best guitarist in the world. Right then, no girls would be jealous you, but me. Hide, you loved it as your heart, and I read a lot of Japanese says, although they were from Google translate. Hide, I know you listened to their music, and “Lucky Man” in the solo album of Ken. The right word for Hide, you are the Best Artist Wannabe. You just tried to be Salvador Dali. Or, you just want to be Ms. Hyde to be with your best band. My best band, too. All people’s lives will keep going, but not you for now.

Many Thai J-Rock fans blamed Thai artists that they copied Japanese songs. In fact, they should believe in ability of Thai people, or say just, coincident or Japanese artists copy Thai things. Although one case is true, that does not mean other million cases have to be just like the first one.

One of my friend that I met when I just had been a J-Rock fan, always told me that a Thai band called, Giwa copies his beloved Luna Sea. I was so young, and I did believe him. I believe many things flood around world wide web. Thai J-Rock fans keep post this kind of thing up. They matched short parts of some Japanese songs and Thai songs, and they said that Thai artist copies Japanese artists. Most of the parts they matched are less than 10 seconds, and it is very easy that musicians can think about the same thing. It is coincident rather that coping.

Thai people are not stupid, because they can own many copyrights they make by themselves. Thai people can work so well if a reward/award is waiting for them, such as world robot competition, or sport tournament. Naturally, Thai people do not like to step up without motivation. Thai musicians have a lot of motivation, especially pop-rock artists after 2000. Pop-Rock in Thailand have been popular again after 20-30 years. Between 2 eras, Thai people consumed much of sweet-pop songs. Many bands was founded in late 10 years, and many old bands did re-union. The boys want to be cool, especially for the sight of girls. They created a unique style of Thai Pop-Rock. Many songs may sound similar, because those kids grew up with pop songs. Some people are different, because they listen to other things, such as Thai country songs and other foreigners’ things.

I am the one who really like Thai country songs. If we do not count the style of voice and Thai instrument, many fast songs can be popular in Alternative-Rock/Pop world. Both sound very similar. Many Thai people also listen to Rock n’ Roll artist from the United States and Europe. They get the influence directly from the original rock bands, and they do not need to past J-Rock artist. Some Thai people also listen to J-Rock and do cover, but there is less percent.

Clash is another band that Thai J-Rock fans blames that they mimic “Forever Love” of X Japan in their song called, “Nangfa Naijai” (Angle in Mind). I do know both songs so well, and I cannot find that Clash really copies that songs. They are same type of music, but not the same song. Although Clash did cover of L’Arc~en~Ciel, it does not mean that they do not have brain to compose their own music. I am a Punk fan, and many Punk songs are similar. Let’s listen to sample of DecayDance things. They are similar and they are good!

Another important conflict is the song call, “Ter Mai Kir Tai” (You Have Never Died) of a Thai band called, Two (they have 2 members.). My parent keeps that albums, too. The famous guy named, Tong. He helped around many projects. Thai people know that he is really nice. Right now he is older, but he just looks the same. I do not know if this nice guy hears what some people are railing him. I pass around the websites, many Thai X Japan fans railed “Two”. Unbelievable, I saw a guy wrote, “Two-Kuy”. “Kuy” (ควย) is the rudest word in Thai Language. He blamed Thai artists who did not know what X Japan was about. The company always manages things for pop artists, and the only thing that the pop artists need to have is the great performance.

I did look through the track list of that album of “Two”, and style of X Japan songs. (It is 2 years, I was their fan, my early high school.) The melody is weird for Japanese songs, but the song composer is weird in “Two” albums. I could not say, but the news already said that. They said, Thai company has to pay for Yoshiki. I do not want to believe. It is just the late visits of Yoshiki in Thailand. So,… My early high school time, a senior guy who was a friend of “Yai” (Yai was known as a big fan of X Japan in our school.) told me about this conflict. “Two did release “Ter Mai Kir Tai” before X Japan release Say Anything”. If I can go back to that moment, I will never show the goat hand to him. I did,.., I did that hand. He ran behind me and tried to kill me. Where was my soul of Thai person? I had had it when I was a boy scout. I did respect King Rama VI. I love his firmly goal to make Thai people to love each other as one big family.

The news was unbelievable for many people. That song sound quite like Thai songs, and the lyrics can fit in so well. No matter what the reality is, but if there is no that song, many Thai people will never be fans of X Japan.

There is another conflict of Neo Universe of L’Arc en Ciel, but that is a little thing. I think it is coincident, because it is just a small part of the song. Most of Thai L’Arc en Ciel fans are still young and rich, and they do not really care to talk about the past, because they look up the new stuff, and they talked a lot. I have many friends who like this band, that is why I can say. Like, once I met Kaun with her L’Arc book in a school bus, and we just began to talk although we had never known each other. We talked a lot. It is familiar in American people, but unusual for Thai people. (I am smiling.)

The main thing I would like to say is, Thai people always look down themselves. Many foreign songs were composed after Thai songs. Whenever they sounds the same, Thai people will say that Thai copied those foreigners.

There are other cases, such as Peace Maker’s songs and Josh Groban’s, and also the hair style and dress style of Thai teenager. Although the idea cannot be Copyrights, people keeps railing that style of dressing is wrong things. This may be only one attitude in a corner of Thailand, because most people do not care (me, too). They dress up and they want to be cool.

Let’s see the side of Thailand. What the songs that Thai artists composed before the foreigner and they sound the same! I am an audience and also an artist, and I will never say that they mimic each other. Many people can think about the same thing. The one part of melody or similar style cannot prove that that artist is the copier.

Paradox is so great at their show. Almost all songs of Paradox sound more modern than Hide’s. Paradox tend to be Alternative Rock, which is really popular in Western world such the United States and the United Kingdom. Hide is more into underground alternative rock, which can be found in both LA and NY. Although Hide did a lot of underground style, those songs are not popular. Hide’s songs which are popular are something modern; such as In Motion, Tell Me, Lemoned I Scream, Ever Free, Post and Honey Blade.

Rong Rean Kong Nu is so classic, too. This song is very old, but still catching people’s hearts. If you know Thai language, you will cry since the first time you listen to it. It is strange that The Academy is… has the same stuff. The world is so coincident. I played Rong Rean Kong Nu on Harmonica, too. This song is about children who have a hard time to get to school. They lived on the mountain and their school is really faraway. They have to walk step by step. They love to go to school. This song reflect the city society that many children do not like the go to school, although they are so rich and very easy to go to school.

I do not know about their copyrights, because they do not blame any people who re-play their songs, too. Zi:Kill is so fun. Tusk draw “Z” during this show. (I am smiling) If you let me compare about “For those about to Rock” and “Rocket”, you can be sure that I do love Rocket. The guitarist of Zi:Kill always have a wonderful line. His solo is always optimistic and never ever boring.

พราว (Proud) ได้รับมอบหมายให้ทำงานปฎิบัติมากกว่างานอ่าน และนั่นคือนิสัยของพราว ชีวิตช่วงที่เด่น ๆ ของพราวคือช่วงมัธยมปลายและปริญญาตรีตอนต้น เพื่อนของพราวคือ Daw พวกเขาเรียกงานที่ทำร่วมกันทั้งหมดว่า “ProuDaw” ซึ่งมีหลายงานด้วยกัน

Proud ถูกเลือกให้ได้รับตำแหน่ง “หลอน” ฝ่ายหญิง (ฝ่ายชายคือ ขุนพล) และ “Error” ฝ่ายหญิง (ฝ่าชายคือ พิชญ์แคว) ทั้งหมดถูกจัดทำขึ้นในปีสุดท้ายของมัธยมปลาย พราว ไม่ได้ไปรับรางวัลแรกด้วยตัวเอง คนที่รับแทนในวันงานคือ ดาว เพื่อนของเธอ ส่วน Error หญิง ฟังแล้วไม่ค่อยน่าภาคภูมิใจนัก แต่เพื่อน ๆ บอกว่า มันหมายถึงพวกใช้เวลากับ Computer มากกว่าคนอื่น และ พราว กับ พิชญ์แคว เหมือนกันในจุดนี้

พราวถ่ายภาพยนต์สั้นเรื่อง The Spooky Kids Live in MWIT โดยแสดงคู่กับ ดาว ทั้งสองช่วยกันเป็นตากล้อง พราวเป็นคนตัดต่อ และทำ Animation ทั้งหมดของเรื่องนี้ งานเรื่องนี้ไปได้สวยมาก เพราะพวกเขาสามารถเปลี่ยนมุมมองที่ผู้ชายมองผู้สาวได้ คือพวกเขาบ้าพอที่จะสนุกมากกว่าความสวยงาม

พราว ได้ชื่อว่าออกไปดูงานนอกสถานที่มากที่สุดในโรงเรียน และเธอเป็นที่รู้จักของอาจารย์หลาย ๆ คน เมื่อบางคนพูดถึง ดาว เขาก็ต่อท้ายด้วย ดาวเป็นเพื่อนของพราว ดาวดูเหมือนมีปัญหาเกี่ยวกับสมองในช่วงนั้น และเธอเคยหยุดเรียนเพื่อรักษามัน เธอยังมีปัญหาเกี่ยวกับขา ซึ่งเธอผ่าตัดไปแล้ว เธอประสพน์อุบัติเหตุจากการวิ่งไล่จับแมว ซึ่งเป็นสัตว์โปรดของ บาส เพื่อนสนิทในห้องเรียนของเธอ

พราว ยังเป็นที่รู้จักอีกด้านคือเธอชอบเพลงลูกทุ่ง และเพลง Rock เธอเคยชอบวง L’Arc~en~Ciel จาก นาฏลี, เมอน่า และ เมย์ เมื่อเธอย้ายโรงเรียนไปอยู่มัธยมปลาย คนส่วนใหญ่ไม่รู้จักวงนี้ พวกเขาหลายคนเรียน พราว ว่า “ฮิเดะ” จนกระทั้ง พราว ต้องศึกษาเกี่ยวกับคนคนนี้อย่างจริงจัง และเธอก็ชอบมัน วงของมันหลอกหลอนเธออยู่ในช่วงปีแรก และนั่นเป็นปีที่เลวร้ายที่สุด พราว ฟังเพลง Rock ที่มีความรุนแรงมากขึ้นเรื่อน ๆ ในช่วงนั้น และเพื่อนร่วมห้องของเธอ สุ หรือ ฮิตเบล้อ เปรียบเทียบ พราว กับ เพื่อนเก่าของเขาว่า พราวไม่มีทางเถื่อนได้เหมือนเพื่อนคนนั้นหรอก

ปีต่อมา โรงเรียนย้ายห้องทั้งหมด พราวมีชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นกับเพื่อนร่วมชั้นเรียนกลุ่มใหม่ เพราะพวกเขาค่อนข้าง “เพี้ยน” มากกว่าเพื่อนกลุ่มเก่าที่ดูจะ tradition and formal ห้องเรียนใหม่ มีความทะเยอทะยานที่จะโด่งดัง และเจ๋งที่สุดในระดับชั้น พวกผู้ชายส่วนใหญ่มาจากกลุ่ม “มีพลัง” ซึ่งขยายใหญ่ขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ หัวหน้าห้องห้องนี้คือ นายต้น เป็นแฟนกับ แอร์ ในปีสุดท้าย ต้น ยังถูกรู้จักจากคนนอกกลุ่มว่าเป็นหัวหน้า “กลุ่มมีพลัง” ทั้งห้องได้ไปเที่ยวเกาะสะเม็ด ก่อนที่ห้องเรียนอื่น ๆ จะไปกัน และห้แงเรียนนี้ จึงเป็นห้องเดียวที่ไม่ถูกทำโทษ

ครั้งแรกเมื่อพวกเขารู้จักกัน หลายคนไม่ชอบ พิชญ์แคว เพราะหลายคนบอกว่า เขาเห็นแก่ตัว แต่ในปีสุดท้าย ห้องเรียนนี้ได้ประกาศให้ทั้งโรงเรียนรู้ว่า เขาจะเชียร์เพื่อนร่วมห้อง และรักเพื่อนร่วมห้องของพวกเขาทุกคน

พราว ซื้อเบสราคาแพงจากหลังกระทรวงกลาโหม และเธอไม่ชอบเมื่อคนอื่นพูดถึงมัน เธอเรียนมันอย่างรวดเร็ว และเธอสามารถสอบเข้าคณะดุริยางคศาสตร์ได้ แต่เธอสละสิทธิ์ในภายหลังเมื่อเธอตัดสินใจเปลี่ยนอนาคต

ในสมัยมัธยมปลาย พราว ยังสมัครร้องเพลงภาษาอังกฤษถึงสองครั้ง และเพื่อนของเธอหัวเราะเธอ เพราะมันแย่มาก พราวร้องเพลงของ X Japan แต่ข้าพเจ้าจำไม่ได้ว่ามันเป็นเพลงอะไร เธอถูกมอบหมายให้ทำประวัติวง X Japan เพื่อนแสดงในบอร์ดโรงเรียน และนั่นคือบอร์ดที่ไม่ใช่งานศิลปะ รุ่นพี่คนหนึ่ง ตัวใหญ่ และชื่อ ใหญ่ เป็นนักเปียโน เขาชอบ X Japan และเขาก็ไม่สนใจมันแล้วในเวลาต่อมา ปัจจุบัน ใหญ่ ได้สนใจการถ่ายภาพแนวศิลป์มาก และพราวอาจจะกลับไปเป็นเหมือนสมัยมัธยมต้น ที่เธอไม่ชอบอาจารย์สอนสังคมศึกษาในมัธยม 3 เอามาก ๆ เพราะอยู่คนละขั้วทางการเมือง

พราว ยังเป็นมือเขียนภาพที่ทุกคนปฎิเสธไม่ได้ งาน Power Point ของเธอได้รับการยกย่องว่าสวยและน่าสนใจที่สุด ทำให้เธอไม่ชอบอ่านหนังสือ ตอง และ ดาว เพื่อนสนิทของเธอ เชื่อว่าเธอฉลาดมาก เพียงแต่ไม่ตั้งใจเรียน และชอบหลับในห้อง และยังไม่ชอบทำการบ้าน พราวเคยบอกตองว่า เธอชอบสัปดาห์สอบที่สุด เพราะมันไม่มีการบ้าน

เธอมีความสนใจเรื่อง Animation มาก สังเกตุได้จากความฝันในวัยเด็ก นาฏลีพูดกับพราวในขณะที่ดูการแสดงเพลงของโรงเรียน และเธอบอกว่า เธออยากทำ Tetsu L’Arc~en~Ciel เต้นจนจบเพลง Stay Away และสิ่งนั้นไม่มีแล้ว

เมื่อใคร ๆ อยากถามเรื่องเพลง Rock เขาวิ่งมาหาเธอ และเขาทำเช่นเดียวกันเมื่อต้องการเพลงลูกทุ่ง เธอเคยทำการ Presentation ที่เป็นสิ่งที่น่าอับอาย เพราะเธอนำวงที่เธอชอบมาเรียงบนสไลด์ แล้วถามคนในห้องว่ามันคืออะไร

ต่อมา Zimmy ได้ทำงานที่ร้านซ่อมกีต้าร์ และเล่นให้วงดนตรีท้องถิ่นบางวง และที่โด่งดังที่สุดคือ Life, Sex and Death (LSD) เขาเล่นให้วงนี้แต่ไม่ได้ร่วมอัดเสียงด้วยเพราะไม่ต้องการที่จะเดินทางร่วมทางกับวงนี้เมื่อทราบว่าวงนี้จะจาก Chicago ไป Los Angeles นอกจากนี้ เขายังมีข่าวลือที่ว่าเขาให้สายกีตาร์รัดคอตัวเองแล้วเขาจะสามารถสำเร็จควาใคร่ได้ (Autoerotic)

Zim Zum ดูเหมือนจะมีความหมายใน Bible แต่มันก็เหมือนกับชื่อคนอื่น ๆ เช่นกัน เขาเล่าเมื่อเขากำลังเล่นอยู่กับ internet… ก็มีเด็กมาชี้ให้เห็นว่ามันมี Model หนึ่งจากยุค 1940’s ซึ่งมีชื่อเริ่มต้นว่า Zim และ มีฆาตรกรต่อเนื่อง 2 ตัวจากยุค 1970’s ตัวหนึ่งมาจากญี่ปุ่น อีกตัวมาจาก U.S.A. และชื่อสุดท้ายของทั้งสองคือ Zum เขาจึงดีใจมาก!

I have wondered if X Japan ever will perform this song. I went so far that I (some weeks before their concert in Hong Kong)  sent Yoshiki a message at his MySpace suggesting that the band should make a cover of it.

As we know that Marilyn Manson and Hideto Matsumoto were friends. Many Japanese fans know only Marilyn Manson, and they dare to say that they are Metal fans. Although the dress and the look of Marilyn Manson and other spooky kids seems like Gothic or Black Metal stuff, but Marilyn Manson music is not that hard. It is Alternative Rock, as he put on his Myspace. In middle 2009, the Hideto Matsumoto Official Myspace was founded by other people to support X Japan re-union. Although it is so strange when it says “Official”, and Hide is not the one who run it; there are a lot of fans add it to be friend. They just show their love to Hide.

Hideto Matsumoto was in LA, during she did his album with Zilch. She was a friend of Marilyn Manson, Genitorturers, etc. Genitorturers’ music seems so close to Hide’s music. I asked her about Hide, too. Both are pretty. Hide’s music sounds like those alternative rock bands at LA, so it is his good opportunity to go there. Although we call this genes “Alternative Rock”, it sounds different from famous alternative rock bands, such Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Cobra Starship, etc. I cannot blame that Hide did suck work if comparing with these famous alternative rock bands, because it is a type of LA things. There are still some songs of Hideto Matsumoto, which are similar with those best alternative rock bands; such as Emotion In Motion, Tell Me, Lemoned I Scream and Honey Blade.

Generally, when we like someone, we will say that other tries to copy him. This may be true or it is just coincident. Or! it is the style of LA people. I am New Yorker anyway, so my answer is not the best of this case of Marilyn Manson and Hideto Matsumoto.

This colorful one, people talked about that they are unreal colors, not the colors of nature; that means it is for anti-christ people. Both Hideto Matsumoto and Marilyn Manson are anti-christ. Hideto Matsumoto did well in symbolism; such as in the song, Ever Free. The name of “Eat Me Drink Me” and “If I was your Vampire” are also really great in symbolism therm, too. In case of “Ever Free”, the meaning is “Eve is Free from Garden of Eden”. The Freedom is much painful.

Hideto Matsumoto liked to play with the words as well as Marilyn Manson showed in the album, “The Golden Age Of Grotesque”.

X Japan. Quite possibly the most famous name in Jrock and Visual Kei. And with good reason. As far as the world of Visual Kei is concerned, X Japan is The Godfather. Founded in Chiba, Japan, in 1982, originally under the name X, by drummer Hayashi Yoshiki and vocalist “Toshi” (Deyama Toshimitsu), the band shredded the Japanese indie rock scene with their huge glam-rock hair, androgynous glamor, and balladic, whiny, speed-metal sound.

Although the band started in ‘82, founders Yoshiki and Toshi were both attending high-school at the time, and the band didn’t really get going with lives until ‘85, which were performed with support musicians. In 1986 Yoshiki founded the independent record label Extasy Records as a surefire way of releasing music and supporting their dream. By ‘87 the band had completed its first formal lineup, settling in with Hide (Matsumoto Hideto) on guitar, and Sawada Taiji on bass, and “Pata” as a support guitarist.

The band released its debut album, Vanishing Vision, in ‘88 through Extasy Records, and toured extensively throughout Japan. In ‘89 the band made a big break with the ultra-popular album Blue Blood, which incited the release of several singles, including the all-time favorites Kurenai and Endless Rain. In 1991 the band performed for the first time in the prestigious Tokyo Dome.

By ‘92 the band had become so successful not only in Japan, but worldwide, that they were required to adopt the name X Japan in order to distinguish themselves as a separate entity from the American punk band X. In the same year, bassist Taiji was replaced with bassist Heath.

In 1996 the album Dahlia was released– which would mark the end of X Japan as a band. Vocalist Toshi had already decided to leave the band, and without him, X Japan could hardly continue with dignity, so they decided to split up and pursue their solo activities. They performed for the last time on New Year’s Eve at the Tokyo Dome.

hide ~ December 13th, 1964- May 2nd 1998

Guitarist and sometimes-composer of the band, hide (not to be confused with Hyde of L’arc~En~Ciel/Vamps) was a figurehead for X Japan. As the band progressed and developed, the other members steadily let go of the original Visual Kei emphasis in favor of a more casual, straight rock style. The exception to this rule was hide, whose bright pink hair and ultra-flashy style became a trademark fans would, and will, never forget.

Along with his work for X Japan, hide worked on solo projects (and released several albums and singles), including hide with Spread Beaver and Zilch (based in the US).

Like all of the members of X Japan, hide had become, by their disbandment in ‘97, a rock’n'roll icon. Japan was, then, utterly crushed when his sudden death was announced one year after the band broke up. hide was discovered in his Tokyo apartment, hung from the bathroom doorknob by a towel. His funeral was held in Tsukiji Hongan-ji (a Buddhist temple in the Tsukiji district of Tokyo), and was attended by 50,000 people, 60 of which were hospitalized during the event, and 200 of which were tended to in first-aid tents. Three fans died in copy-cat suicides.

There remains some speculation as to whether hide’s death was an accident or a suicide. Members of X Japan commented that they had often utilized a technique involving a towel and a doorknob/handle as a way of relieving back-pain caused by constant use of a guitar-strap. Former bassist Sawada Taiji suggests that hide may have been attempting to implement this technique and, drunk, passed out and gotten tangled up in the towel.

On May 1st 1999, almost exactly a year following hide’s death, a memorial album was released under the title Tribute Spirits. The album featured covers of hide songs by illustrious names such as  fellow first-generation Visual Kei bands Luna Sea and BUCK-TICK. A Hide Memorial Summit concert was held at the Ajinomoto Stadium, where many bands, including X Japan, performed hide’s songs.

But enough  history!

These guys rock, and sorting them neatly into the pages of Jrock text-books would be doing their 15 years of rebellion a vast disservice.

Aside from deciding that Visual Kei was to be crazy and image-driven, X Japan had a massive impact on the music and composition styles. Although classified as a speed/power metal and progressive rock band, they made generous use of balladry, piano, and orchestration. Vocalist Toshi supplied unique vocals characterized by a high-pitched, whiny timbre. Several songs, including the all-time-famous ballad Tears (from the album Dahlia) were written with all-English lyrics, and sung boldly by the iconic vocalist.

Many of their songs passed the 10 minute length, climaxing with the album Art of Life, which contained only the title song, running a whopping 29 minutes. (1993. Art of Life was composed and written by Yoshiki, and performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It was only performed live for three audiences.)

In the 15 years that X Japan was active, the band released 5 studio albums, 6 live albums, 10 compilation albums, 19 singles, and 15 video releases.

Rain Down Our Sins: OST of the movie Picnic – Shunji Iwai. One of his very first movies, dark and haunting, yet the OST are full of meledious and smooth piano.
Endless rain: if you haven’t known X-japan and their awesome music, you may start with their piano – easy-listening and suit most ears.
of world’s end girl friend and wonderland falling yesterday: one artist, 2 different styles of sound mixing & arrangement, both tracks are great pieces. Well I praise cause I’m a fangirl (;_;), but if you want to get a ‘look’ at ambient and experimental electronic sounds, I’m sure those tracks will give you nice time.
Emancipator and Yasue Ois are also very nice, and Angelmark’s track is a little darker than the others…

During the event of the 35th Anniversary of Hello Kitty in Los Angeles, Yoshiki has announced that he’s working on a new project. The young girl next to Yoshiki is a member of the new band that Yoshiki is producing.

seguimos con la intención de mostraros algunas de las cosas que hicimos durante los viajes a Japón que finalmente han desembocado en la elaboración del proyecto Crónicas desde Cipango, que poco a poco va llegando a su forma final. En esta ocasión, y siguiendo la veda abierta por el concierto de MUCC al que asistimos hace poco, hoy os hablamos también de música nipona y lo hacemos con algo muy especial. En 2008 tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a un festival de esos que quitarían el hipo a cualquier fan del Rock japonés, el hide memorial summit, el homenaje a hide, guitarrista de X Japan, en el décimo aniversario de su muerte. No solo era especial por el hecho de asistir al homenaje del guitarrista de una de nuestras bandas favoritas, si no que además el cartel que se congregó fue de auténtico lujo: destacamos MUCC, Dir En Grey, Despairs Ray, Luna Sea y los propios X Japan entre otros. Un auténtico delirio, mucho más cuando todas las bandas se unieron para un épico tema final de X Japan, “X”.

El memorial duró un par de días, nosotros asistimos al segundo por razones obvias.

Os dejamos con el vídeo que hicimos hace tiempo, que es un poco largo, pero os aseguramos que vale la pena (buscadme en la fila 10, delante del escenario pequeño de la derecha ^_^).  Al final aparece una buena amiga opinando sobre el concierto y un servidor (pero en su momento no pensé en subtitularlo, así que haremos un poco de “escucha catalán” pepino-style).

วันเดียวกันนั้น Heath ได้เข้ามาอยู่ใน X Japan อย่างสมบูรณ์ เดือนตุลาคม ออก Live Concert ครั้งแรกของ Heath ให้ชื่อว่า ‘ Extasy Summit ‘ 92 ‘ แล้ววันที่ 21 เดือนนั้นอีกเช่นเคย Toshi ออก Single Made in Heaven เป็นงานเดี่ยวชิ้นแรกของเขา ( เป็นเพลงแนว slow pop อาจจัดเป็น industrial ก็ได้ ) และเดือนต่อมาก็ออก Album ‘ Made in Heaven ‘ อีก ทาง X ก็ออก VDO ” Hametsu – Nimukatte – Visual Shock Vol. 4 ”

ปีต่อมา X ออก VDO Mima – Mumei – Datta, Dakedo..mukei – Datta – Extasy Summit ‘ 92 วันที่ 25 สิงหาคมอีกแล้ว งานของ X ชิ้นแรกที่มี Heath ก็โผล่ออกมา เป็น Single เพลง Art of Life ถ้าสังเกตดูจะ ไม่ค่อยได้ยินเสียง Bass เดือนตุลาคมออก Single Tears แต่ดันติดอันดับ 1 ของผลโวท เดือนพฤศจิกายนออก X Singles Yoshiki เป็นคนเลือกเองว่าจะมีเพลงอะไรบ้าง ซึ่งทุกเพลงยกเว้น Joker เป็นเพลงที่เขาแต่งเอง และเวลาทำ Live ก็เช่นกัน เขามักจะเลือกเพลงที่เขาแต่งมาเล่น จนเพลงของเขาดัง

วันที่ 4 ของเดือนนั้น Pata ก็ออก Single ” Pata ” 2 วันสุดท้ายของสิ้นปี ทำ Live Take ของ X Japan ที่ Tokyo Dome ปี 1994 ไทจิเป็นมือ Bass ของวง Loudness เต็มตัว แต่เขาก็ไม่ชอบอีก วงนี้ชอบเปลี่ยนสมาชิกเรื่อย ๆ อยู่ทุกปี และเป็นที่นิยมของชาวต่างชาติ ทาง Hide ก็ออก Single “DICE” เดือนต่อมาก็ออกอลบัม “HIDE YOUR FACE” เดือนต่อมา Hide ออก Single “TELL ME” เดือนต่อมาอีก Pata ออก Single “PATA’ S BOOTLEG” เดือน 7 วันที่ 10 ออก Single “Rusty Nail” ได้อันดับ 1 ของผลโวท 2 เดือน ต่อมา Pata ออก Single “Fly Away” และ 2 วันก่อนสิ้นปีอีกเช่นเคย มี Live ที่ Tokyo Dome อีกเช่นเคย ชื่อว่า “Blue Night , White Night”

ปี 1995 VDO X’ s Clips ได้ออกพร้อมกับ Single “Hametsu – Ni – Mukatte – 1992.1.7″ ที่เล่นที่ Tokyo Dome ฮิเดะแกก็คิดถึงไทจิอีกแล้ว แกจึงไปตามหาไทจิและได้พบไทจิ ก่อนที่ไทจิจะออกจากวง Loudness วันที่ 21 มกราคม Pata ออก “Single On Me” Heath เอาบ้าง แกก็เลยทำอลบัม “HEATH” ออกในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ ต่อมาไม่นาน Pata ก็ออก Single “Rised on Rock” วันที่ 1 เดือน 8 X ก็ออก Single “Longing – Togireta Melody” ติดอันดับ 1 เช่นเคย วันที่ 29 พฤศจิกายน เริ่ม Dahlia Tour ข้ามปี เดือนธันวาคมออก Single “Longing – Longing Night” เป็นการ Promote เพลงนี้อย่างรุนแรง ทั้ง 2 วันสุดท้ายของปีนั้น มี Live Take ที่ Tokyo Dome เหมือนเดิม มีการนำเนื้อเพลงนี้มาอ่านเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ใช้เล่นทุกงาน ทำให้เพลงโด่งดัง

ปีต่อมา เดือนกุมภาพันธ์วันที่ 26 ได้ออก Single “Dahlia” ติดอันดับ 1 อีกแล้ว งานชิ่นนี้ถือเป็นการพัฒนาครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ แต่ยังคงแนวเดิมคือ Melodic Metal วันที่ 22 พฤษภาคม Hide ออก Single “Lemoned” และเดือนต่อมา ฮิเหลก็ออก Single “Misery” วันที่ 8 เดือน 7 Single Forever Love ก็ออก เป็นการเล่นด้วยเปียโนเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ติดอันดับ 1 อีกแล้ว เดือน 8 วันแม่ (ของประเทศไทย) Hide ออก Single “Beauty and Stupid” วันที่ 26 เดือนสิงหาคมมีการออก Single “Crucify My Love” ได้ผลโวทอันดับ 2 Hide ก็ออก ชื่ออลบัม “PSYENCE” เป็นการรวมเพลงของ Single ก่อนหน้านี้ วันที่ 7 เดือนต่อมา Heath ออก Single “Mekyou No Lover” วันที่ 4 เดือนต่อมาออกอลบัม “Dahlia” อีก 4 วันต่อมาออก Single “Scar” อีกแล้ว ” B.O.X. ” ( Best of X ) ออกวางขายที่อเมริกาด้วย ส่วนใหญ่ก็เพลงที่ Yoshiki แต่งอีกนั่นแหละ กลางเดือนฮิเดะออก Single ” HIHO / GOOD-BYE ” และวันสุดท้ายของปีอีกเช่นเคย สถานที่เดิม เมื่อจบการทัวร์ Dahlia ข่าวลือว่า น้องชายของ Toshi ซึ่งเห็นโทษของหัวหน้าวงของ X Japan ว่าเห็นแกเงิน ก็พยายามบอกให้ Toshi ออกจากวง

ปีต่อมา วันที่ 1 มกราคม อีกแล้ว “DAHLIA THE VIDEO – VISUAL SHOCK VOL.5 PART 1″ Heath ออก Single “TRAITOR” และเดือนต่อมานั่นเองได้ทำ “DAHLIA THE VIDEO – VISUAL SHOCK VOL.5 PART 2″ ฮิเดะออก Single “Tune – Up” เมื่อเดือน ตุลาคม ได้ไปหา Live เก่า ๆ มารวมเป็นอลบัม “Live Live Live” ต่อมาก็จบการทัวร์ของ Dahlia ที่ยืดเยื้อมาจากปี 1996 และได้ทำอลบัม “Live Live Live Extra” Toshi ได้ออกอลบัม “Natural High” วันที่ 19 ธันวาคมมี Ballad Collection ออกมา ซึ่งทำให้เราสามารถทราบได้ว่าทำไมในอลบัม Dahlia จึงมี Ballad เยอะมาก ก็แค่ให้อลบัมนี้เต็ม วันเดียวกันนั้นก็ออก Single “Forever Love Last Mix” ใช้กีตาร์แทนเปียโน (และเปลี่ยนมาเป็นคีย์ C) วันที่ 25 ธันวาคม วันแห่งการออกทั้ง Single ทั้ง Album อาทิ “Box Single Box” , “Box Special Box Set”, “Dahlia LP”, “Single – Atlantic Years” วันที่ 31 ธันวาคม ไม่ต้องบอกว่าที่ไหน มีการทำ Last Live ไม่ค่อยสนุกเท่าไหร่

ปี 1998 วันที่ 21 มกราคม Yoshiki ออก Single “The Last Song” และ Live ของเพลง Art of Life เวลาผ่านไป หลังจาก Hide ทำวง Spred Braver ซึ่งมี Pata เป็น temporary guitarist รวมสมาชิก 7 คน ไม่นับ Pata

หลังจากข่าวฮิเดะฆ่าตัวตายในวันที่ 2 พฤษภา ไม่นาน ไทจิจึงปรากฎตัว และแก้ตัวว่าฮิเดะไม่ได้ฆ่าตัวตาย เขามาตั้งกลุ่ม D.T.R. Group ออกแสดงตาม Cafe ตอนกลางคืน

วันที่ 7 เดือน 5 หลังจากการตายของฮิเดะ 5 วัน สมาชิกคนอื่นในวงได้มาร้องเพลง Scars และ Forever Love พร้อมกัน โดยในเพลง Forever Love เป็นบรรเลงเปียโนกับขับร้อง บางข่าวกล่าวว่า ที่จริง X Japan จะกลับมารวมตัวกันตั้งวงใหม่ แต่พอฮิเดะตาย เลยไม่ได้ทำ

ปี 1999 วันที่ 30 เดือนมกราคม Yoshiki ออกอลบัม “X Japan Star Box” วันที่ 24 เดือนกุมภาพันธ์ออก “X Perfect Best” และออก VDO “The Last Live”

ปี 2000 หลังจาก Yoshiki กลับมาจาก America ก็รีบวิ่งมาที่ Tokyo Dome ทำ “The Last Live” เป็นครั้งสุดท้ายซึ่ง Heath กับ Pata มาถึงก่อน ทีแรก Yoshiki คิดว่ามาไม่ทันจึงไม่กะจะมา แต่พอรู้ข่าวว่าไทจิจะมา ก็เลยมาด้วย ไทจิเป็นคนเดียวใน X ที่ได้นำเพลงของ X ที่ตนแต่งไปใช้เป็นเพลงของ D.T.R. Group

ปลายปี 2002 Yoshiki ให้เปิด Website ให้โวทเพลงของ X ที่แฟน ๆ ชอบ และยังมีขายแว่นตา X Japan ซึ่งมีให้เลือกตาม style ของนักดนตรีแต่ละคน

ปี 2007 รวมวงใหม่

The events/meetings of Visual Kei fans in Thailand are always at MBK Center (Mahboonkrong or มาบุญครอง) every month. MBK is a famous shopping center which has a big space for meeting at the corner of the street. It is near Siam Center, just across the street. You can just imagine of Thai girls dress as Harajuku people. People around the world know that Thai girls are very pretty, so what they will look like, … the prettiest one you saw in Japanese. No lie.

Some Visual Kei bands are so famous in groups of rich teenagers in Thailand, and a lot of Japanese animas do, too. These fans pay a lot of money for their costumes which they wear only in one day. Dir en Grey, Gazette, Miyavi (ex- Dué le Quartz) and D’espairs Ray are very famous currently. Although Malice Mizer is something old, but people always love to dress like them. Mana’s lip is very attractive and unique.

Nongnut is one of classmates in high school. She got asked to dress with a white-fur costumn, because it was not fit in her friend’s body. Her group liked Hyde, L’Arc~en~Ciel so much. She gave me her drawing of Hyde, and I still keep it. Hyde is considered as the best guy in L’Arc en Ciel. He is who you should talk with and have as a friend.

Right now, let’s cross the street to Siam Center. Several buildings have small rooms for rent. Most of those rooms are for rent. Many teachers rent them and their students have to pay a lot of money to take extra classes. It sounds mean that those teachers do not teach everything they know in the school, because they need more money. Visual Kei fans also rent the rooms, too. They use it for the meeting within their own group for each band. X Japan fans liked to eat some spicy things together. Some big fans of Visual Kei also buy many CD and DVD from Japan and sale them in this place. Most of the discs are second hand, because they already watched them. I walked up and looked around in the latest time I visited Siam Center. A group of teenatures with dark-eyes-make-up watched Yoshiki played his piano.

I know an event that X Japan fans usually do in May 2nd of every year. They will meet at MBK or Siam Center and have some party. They will take a bus or train to Hua Lamphong Temple, which is one of the best place to do Coffin-Offerings. They donate money for the corpses who do not have coffin. They hope all merit to go for Hideto Matsumoto (Hide or 秀人松本), their hero.

I do not usually dress as Visual Kei, but I do dress for Halloween. I had got a reward for the scariest dress. Sometimes, I dressed not for the contest. My close friend and I painted ourselves and walk around our high school. Halloween is my most favorite day of the year. So now, let’s go to class!
