My name is Alison and I love theme parks ….. there I have said it.

Six years ago, for my 50th birthday, Mr Daisy, my gorgeous boys and I went to Disney Paris – my choice, I love it there. We had a fabulous long weekend, smiling, happy, magical and I morphed into a child once more.

That’s what I love about theme parks. I love the piped music, the sense of anticipation, the cartoon characters wondering around looking for photo opportunities. I love the smell of hot dogs, candy floss and excitement. But most of all, I love the feel good feeling I have in my heart, watching everyone having a brilliant time.

You see, I don’t like the big rides, they scare the pants off me and not in a good way. My boys laugh at me but they know that they have to come on a couple of ‘baby’ rides just to humour me. What I adore and can literally stand and watch for hours, is everyone else on the big scary rides. So it’s perfect, they go on the rides, I look after all the phones, cash, glasses, drinks, and watch them.

On Monday, we went to Alton Towers. It was a gorgeous gorgeous day. Proud mummy with her beautiful boys and their fabulous girlfriends. We had a brilliant time.

An interesting fact …….
Merlin are slowly replacing all their third party restaurants … Pizza Hut has been replaced with Merlin’s own brand Pizza and Pasta, and now they have replaced KFC with their own FRIED CHICKEN COMPANY and this is where we had our lunch. It’s located in the X Sector area of the park, next to the amazing Oblivion ride and I recommend you give it a try when you are next looking for a fabulous day out.
It’s a clever fusion of American Diner and industrial warehouse and reflects the history of Oblivion. The chicken is fantastic, I must go back soon …. here it is …

Alton Towers theme park is located in Staffordshire in England. It is one of the famous theme parks in the country and is one of the most visited. It’s modification in 1980 means that the theme park has developed its’ reputation and has become one of the most famous theme parks in the country and even one of the most famous in the world. In 1990 the theme park was brought by The Tussauds Group. By 2005 it was brought by the investment group Dubai International Capital when it brought Tussauds for £800 million. The Tussaudes were brought by Merlin Entertainments in the third month in 2007 for over £1 billion from DIC. Later that year, in July, the park was sold to Nick Leslau.

The rides featured at Alton Towers have been improved to try and comfort its’ customers. A ride that is featured there is called the X – Sector. The roller coaster offers much fun and is a thrilling piece of equipment as it allows the customers to take a break from their daily things and enjoy themselves for a change.
