راه میان بر (Shortcut) چیست؟ در زبان رایانه به معنی استفاده از صفحه کلید برای انجام سریع کاری همانند باز کردن برنامه ها (Ctrl + O) ، ذخیره کردن اطلاعات (Ctrl + S) و غیره می باشد.

با توضیح مختصری که در بالا درباره راه میان بر ذکر شد، مطمئناً متوجه موضوع این مقاله شده اید. درست است! در این مقاله قصد داریم به شما یک راه ساده برای ایجاد میان بر که شاید تا به الآن اشاره ای بدان نشده بود، معرفی نماییم.
جهت شروع ما بر روی آیکون نرم افزار دلخواه کلیک راست می کنیم و گزینه ی Properties را بر می گزینیم. در پنجره باز شده گزینه Shortcut key را مشاهده می کنیم که در جعبه متن مقابل خود کلمه None نوشته شده است. این جعبه توانایی نوشتن متن به دلخواه را از ما گرفته است اما در عوض با فشردن یک دکمه از صفحه کلید، خود بصورت خودکار دو کلمه Ctrl + Alt یا کلمه Num را می افزاید.
حال شما می توانید هر دکمه ای را که مایل هستید با آن، برنامه دلخواه خود را باز کنید بفشارید و تنظیمات را ذخیره کنید! برای نمونه من برای نرم افزار Yahoo! Messenger دکمه Y را انتخاب کردم. حال برای بازگشایی برنامه نیاز به فشردن Ctrl + Alt + Y دارم.

Kaspersky Lab, producătorul aplicaţiilor de securitate Kaspersky, ne avertizează asupra unui virus, mai exact un troian, care scrie în limba română pe Yahoo Messenger, simulând astfel un dialog. Mesajele acestui troian vin ca şi cum ar fi de la o persoană din lista de Yahoo Messenger, ceea ce îl face greu de depistat.

Trojanul IM.Win32.Agent.ae trimite, din partea unui contact din lista, un mesaj în limba romana care te invita să dai click pe un link. Link-ul respectiv nu duce către un fişier executabil, cum ar face un virus banal, ci către un blog. Odată intrat pe blog-ul respectiv, utilizatorul este rugat să descarce şi să instaleze un codec sau un plugin pentru a viziona un clip video. Evident, fişierul descărcat conţine un virus.

Aşadar, atenţie la link-urile pe care daţi click în Yahoo Messenger şi, mai ales, aveţi grijă să nu instalaţi nimic de pe site-urile pe care ajungeţi prin intermediul acestor link-uri. Doar în 24 de ore, virusul deghizat în codec a fost descărcat de peste 10.000 de ori.

Acest troian reprezintă o premieră negativă. Dacă până acum atacurile informatice care vizau Yahoo Messenger foloseau texte în limba engleză, acum avem de-a face cu un troian în limba română. Când primeai un mesaj în engleză de le un prieten, deveneai imediat suspicios. Acum, cu mesajul troianului în limba română, e mult mai greu să-ţi dai seama dacă este veridic sau nu.

Nici nu stiu cum sa incep acest post. Pentru ca e inutil. Pur si simplu. Nu ca ar fi ceva de capul celorlalte. Dar cum sa vorbesti despre ceva ce aproape nu exista, ma rog, despre oamenii invizibili de pe yahoo messenger. Pe sistemul “eu sunt un om foarte ocupat, de-aia intru direct pe invisible cand ma autentific (“loghez” pentru cei care nu sunt preocupati de limba romana) pe yahoo messenger”, oamenii gasesc tot felul de motive pentru a sta pe internet dar nu chiar, asa, un pic mascat, stim bine ca un pic de mister atrage intotdeauna. Pe cine atrage? Pai, cel putin pe cei care folosesc servicii care ii detecteaza pe cei care intra pe invisible. Si uite asa n-aveam ce face intr-o zi decat sa-mi dovedesc, nu stiu daca mie, voua sau celor care stau pe invisible ca motivele celor din urma nu sunt foarte rationale. La intrebarile:

1. Tu stai pe invisible?

2. Daca da : de ce stai pe invisible?

Daca nu : ce parere ai despre cei care stau pe invisible?

3. Folosesti vreun serviciu gen ydetector pentru a-i verifica pe altii?

mi-au raspuns 23 de persoane (din lista mea de ym – sex F : 8 , sex M : 15) care se intamplau sa fie online in momentul chestionarii. N-am calculat reprezentativitatea desi rezultatele sunt destul de reprezentative, nu incape indoiala si nici n-o sa impart rezultatele pe sexe pentru ca nu mi se pare relevant. Rezultatele sunt :

• Pentru intrebarea 1. :  au raspuns cu DA – 13 persoane si cu NU – 10 persoane.

• Pentru intrebarea 2. :  – cele 13 persoane de la intrebarea 1 au dat raspunsuri ca:  (daca s-a repetat un anumit raspuns nu l-am mai scris)

Pentru ca atunci cand stau pe available nu vb decat cu prietenii; stau pe invisible ca sa nu se observe cat stau de mult pe mess.

Ca sa nu ma deranjeze cate 5 oameni cu ce fac atunci cand intru pe mess si am treaba.

Atunci cand sunt ocupata sau ma uit la un film.

Pt ca mi-e lene sa scot bifatul de la logarea pe invisible.

Atunci cand lucrez ca sa nu ma vada clientii daca am depasit termenul proiectului.

Nici eu nu stiu uneori; ca sa vorbesc doar cu anumite persoane sa nu fiu abordata de altele.

Cand vreau sa vorbesc doar cu cateva persoane si nu vreau sa dau permanently offline la ceilalti.

Ca sa evit anumite persoane.

- celelalte 10 persoane care au raspuns cu NU la 1. au spus  despre cei care stau pe invisible :

Je m’en fish; nu abordez oamenii pe mess.

Au motivele lor si nu ma deranjeaza.

Ca sunt neinformati; atunci cand esti online nu e obligatoriu sa raspunzi.

Sunt boi.

Proasta ca si cei care nu te mai baga in seama de ani de zile decat la nevoie.

N-am nicio parere ; nu fac diferente.

• Pentru intrebarea 3. au raspuns : cu DA – 13 persoane si cu NU – 10 persoane.

Pot sa mai zic in plus ca aproape toti cei (care mi-au raspuns la intrebari) care stau pe invisible folosesc si un serviciu gen ydetector pentru a-i verifica pe altii. Eu ma gandesc ca daca are omul treaba nu intra pe messenger, sau daca are foarte multa treaba nu intra deloc. Daca totusi are treaba si vrea sa stea pe messenger de ce suporta sa aiba asemenea specimene in lista de ym care-si desfasoara intreaga viata sociala pe internet si care deranjeaza incontinuu? Ei nu au auzit de delete+ignore? Un fel de shift+delete. Si apoi pentru ce s-a inventat messenger-ul? Initial pentru a vorbi cu persoanele cunoscute si apropiate care sa zicem erau din alta tara, alt oras pentru o perioada mai scurta sau mai lunga de timp. Nu pentru a citi status-uri, a vedea poze de la avatar sau de cat timp e idle icsulescu. Nici nu se spune : vorbesc pe messenger, ci STAU pe messenger. Imi venise adineauri o chestie : culmea egocentrism-ului sau oare a singuratatii?! : sa-ti pui status cand esti pe invisible.

It all started with the YM (Yahoo Messenger) offline messages from my mum in September this year. Through the help of her younger colleague, she learned to open her yahoo account and to send messages to us (I and my brother).

I was ecstatic because I knew Mum. At her age (mid 60s), we can’t expect her to be techie at all. A simple feature in her mobile phone can be extremely complicated for her.

Since she learned to send messages in YM, my brother and I received daily messages. To catch us online, she will rush to her faculty room every break time because by then, we are up already and at work. Then for few minutes we chat.

By the time we have our lunch break, my Mum is already at home where unfortunately she doesn’t have internet. She can only access her YM at her workplace hence it limits our time chat.

So, we decided to purchase her a desktop and also subscribed for internet connection. My sister, who stays and works four hours away from home, traveled and spent a weekend with Mum so she could teach her all the basics in computer from switching on to turning off the machine.

My brother and I were anticipating to chat with her the following week. To our dismay, YM had always a system glitch. Sometimes I was unable to log-in for days for whatever reasons. Then my brother introduced us to Oovoo, a web based free video conference facility.

Since then, we chat every night and weekend. Sometimes due to work demand, I need to stay late and I miss them joining in the video conference. We also demanded curfew for our Mum. With the time difference, we told Mum that she could only stay online until 11.30pm which is 7.30pm in our time. We don’t want her to suffer the next day because of lack of sleep.

On occasions where I miss the video conference with my brother, my Mum would send me a video message. Oovoo is really nice. Rather than leaving offline message at YM, Oovoo has a better option – video messages though it has also a chat facility.

With this, it slashes my phone budget by 70%. I no longer buy phone cards to call Mum and our communication nowadays is even more frequent.

Then yesterday, I discovered the 160by2.com, a website where you can send free sms in UAE, Saudi, Kuwait and few Asian countries like India, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.

So now, I need only a phone card for emergency calls and when I don’t have internet access.

Update: I learned from a friend about smsteriod, a site for free sms. It’s actually better than the 160by2 because you can send sms anywhere in the world.

The long awaited final build of Yahoo Messenger 10 (Y!M 10), one of the most popular IM applications in cyberspace, was released on Nov 12, 2009. The impact of this new version is undeniable. Just one week after its official release, it reached a striking download number of over 25,000 just from the CNET download site alone. So what the real total number is from all download sites on the Internet, I can’t imagine.

The main reasons for this crush surely came from the program’s new features and enhancements, and since those things had been talked over and over, I won’t duplicate them here. Instead, I’ll tell you some brief but useful tips to save your time and make the best use of the program.

1. Minimum system requirements and necessary computer equipments:

- Windows XP operating system or later, a 1 GHz CPU processor and 512 MB of RAM.

- Broadband Internet connection speed: Minimum of 300 Kbps download and 128 Kbps upload.

- Video card: Minimum of 96 MB memory.

- A microphone and speakers or headset.

- A webcam (suggested Logitech webcam)

- Latest version of Microsoft DirectX® installed.

The last two requirements are mainly for making video calls.

2.The offline installation file: Download the standalone installation file here. This file allows you to install the program quickly and doesn’t ask for an Internet connection.

3.Installation process: Pay close attention to the first screen of the installation process. By default it will install extra components Yahoo Toolbar and YahooBrowser Plus into your computer. If you don’t want those tools, choose the Custom Install option at the top of the screen and uncheck them.

4.Social networking features (Yahoo! Updates): By default you will be informed of all updates made by your friends from several social sites including Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm, etc. To customize this list, first go to Yahoo! Updates: Messenger > Preferences > Yahoo! Updates.

Then, to set the list of which social sites you want to get updated, click the Customize Yahoo! Updates button, and check/uncheck the appropriate check boxes for each site. To change the settings for particular sites check/uncheck the check box under the Show Alerts column next to that site.

5. Update your friends’ status (Yahoo! Updates): Whenever there is an update, a small popup will appear at the bottom right corner of your computer’s screen. Go to Messenger > Preferences > Yahoo! Updates > click the Customize Yahoo! Updates button, then check/uncheck the check box next to the person’s name under Show Y! Updates from these contacts

6. What to share with your friends (Yahoo! Updates): It’s totally your choice to share what aspects of your social life with your friends. Just customize your Yahoo! Profiles. To do this, go to Yahoo! Updates in the Preferences, then choose Manage the Yahoo! Updates I broadcast…, on your profile webpage, check and uncheck the services you want.

7. Quick IM on your friend’s update: Hover the mouse on your friend’s name in the list, and choose it to make a quick IM. Your message will be set inline with your friend’s status; however, both you and your friends must have Y!M 10 to have this inline.

8. High quality video call: Both you and your Y!M friends must use Yahoo Messenger 10 to make a video call. The grayed-out Video Call button on your IM window with a friend indicates he/she is on an older version of Y!M.

9. Video call lost images: Check your internet connection. If your internet connection is too busy, Y!M is automatically downgraded from a video call to a voice all. There will be a message to inform you of the change.

10. All other features of the older Yahoo messenger versions are also available with Yahoo messenger 10: voice call, SMS though Yahoo! voice, group chat, voice mail, Yahoo chat, smileys, plugins to add more features, IM environments, Yahoo PingBox and others.

11. Twisting your voice: Make use of a voice changing program which plays nicely with Y!M 10 to change your voice and add more fun into your video calls. Follow the instructions on this page to use AV Voice Changer Software to change voice for Y!M 10.
