The sneaker culture takes a huge hit today, as Nike unveiled its plans to completely revamp the way future releases are distributed. Days after announcing the ban of in-store midnight releases, hopeful sneakerheads will now have to wait online instead of in line. Nike will begin to utilize Twitter as a means for RSVP-ing your favorite shoe. This comes in light of the recent, negative media attention sneaker releases have been getting, from the hectic release of the Jordan XI “Concords” to the “Galaxy” Foamposites.

The Twitter RSVP Process:

On the RSVP date, our store will send a tweet at a random time to begin our Twitter RSVP process, including a product specific hashtag (#tag).
Once registration is open, you must Direct Message (“DM”) the store within 60 minutes. The DM must include:

1.The product-specific #tag tweeted by the store
2.The last 4 digits of your State/Passport/Military/School ID number
3.Your shoe size (limit one).

Confirmations from the store will be sent via DM to those who have successfully secured their requested size. Shoes will be awarded on a “first respond, first serve” basis.
Confirmed recipients must pick up their product (in person w/ identification) from the store on the day of launch. Unclaimed product will be announced on Twitter and will be re-released at the store’s discretion.

How do you properly RSVP through DM? Here’s an example:

Twitter RSVP Terms and Conditions:

One item allowed per person, even if you receive two confirmations of successful registrations. Abuse of this rule may result in denial of purchase or entry to future launches.
Confirmed recipients must provide a valid ID that matches the last 4 digits used for RSVP.
Size cannot be changed once it has been confirmed to a person through Twitter RSVP.
Resell or trade of Twitter RSVP confirmation is prohibited.
Twitter RSVP confirmation is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or for credit towards any purchase.
Lines will not be allowed to form outside the store for this release.

There has been No official release date announced by Nike, but as some of you may know they have been delayed. I have herd from various sources they will be released in June. So get saving and keep  your eye’s peeled.

According to Solebox the anticipated Nike Air Yeezy 2 has been globally postponed. Yes, GLOBALLY POSTPONED, the release date of April 13, 2012 as of now is not accurate. There is no information on a new release date or why there is a halt for these sneakers. One thing for sure is that the final product seems promising and this long wait should be well worth the wait if anyone is able to get a pair! Stick with LNSD for more information!

All of you that are out there camping for the “Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum” Air Yeezy 2 may want to pack up your stuff and head home.

After detailed images of the kicks dropped earlier this week, Solebox is now reporting that the release has been postponed and has yet to be rescheduled. Originally set to hit the Berlin store and other Nike Sportswear retailers on April 13, it has yet to be determined if the release will be postponed indefinitely or if they’ll see the light of day sometime in the near future.

Check back for more details, but, as of right now, you won’t be picking up a pair of Yeezy 2s next month.

Rumors have been swarming about a Kanye and Kobe collaboration for Kanye’s “Yeezy 2″ sneaker line. And now we have pictures to prove it. Last week the pic about leaked. No official word yet on if this is it, but that’s what it’s looking like.

With over a month left until the supposed release date (April 13th) of Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2, people are already beginning to set up camp. The people in the video below lined up across from Los Angeles’ Beverly Center as early as February 29th. As if a month of camping wasn’t enough, they agreed to wait even longer for the additional colorways. Is all that wait really worth the reward?

It’s been a long time coming, but it looks as if we finally have an official release date for the first Yeezy 2 colorway.

Initially, it was rumored that the black/pink colorway would be the first to release – on March 23rd – but for now, that has been written off as nothing more than a rumor.

According to The Shoe Game, it’s in fact the Zen Grey (or Wolf Grey) Yeezy 2 that will be the first to drop, and the official release date is Friday, April 13th.

Nothing has been publicly confirmed by Nike, Kanye, or any of the powers at be, but The Shoe Game is still reporting that the Zen Grey Yeezy 2s will release on 4/13 and retail for $250.

The word on the street is that they will have no special packaging but instead come in the Nike Sportswear box with a dust bag included.
